Swiss watch maker Raymond Weil paid Charlize Theron a whopping $20 million to represent their exclusive diamond-studded watches worth $7k and up. Charlize’s three year contract as the face of Dior J’Adore perfume is said to be worth less than a third of that at a speculated $6 million. (Although one report has it at just $3 to $5 million.) Weil is suing Theron for breach of contract after she was seen wearing a Dior watch in a perfume ad, at the SXSW film festival last spring, and in an ad for an AIDS charity. The Dior watch she wore also had diamonds on it, and Weil’s attorney says she’s making them look like dupes in the industry:

The suit by Raymond Weil accuses the Oscar-winning star of “Monster” of two-timing the company by wearing a Christian Dior watch in public – a strict no-no in her $20 million deal.

“If you’re the model for Ralph Lauren, you can’t show up wearing Gucci at the Academy Awards,” said David Jaroslawicz, an attorney for the watchmaker. “She undercut our entire ad campaign.”

The South African stunner signed on as the face of a multimillion-dollar ad campaign in October 2005, allegedly agreeing to wear only Raymond Weil watches in public.

As an “international ambassador” for the company, Theron touted the limited edition line of diamond-covered Shine watches, which sell for $7,000 and have straps made of gold or alligator skin.

But Theron ticked off her sponsors when she turned up in a Tourneau catalogue wearing a diamond-encrusted watch over the words, “Charlize Theron wears Dior.” She also had been photographed at a Texas film festival last March allegedly wearing a Dior watch.

“We spent a fortune on an ad campaign centered around her,” Jaroslawicz said. “Then she goes off and makes us look silly in the industry by wearing Dior.”

If someone gave me a watch worth a few thousand dollars I would forsake it for all others, even if I didn’t like the style. Theron got a deal that paid 3-4 times the amount she was getting paid to rep Dior, so you think she could remember to put on the right watch when she appears in public. She hasn’t been in many blockbusers, so this is where her bread and gilded butter come from and it’s gotta hurt to be hit a lawsuit by her biggest sponsor.

Theron is not even supposed to wear jewelry that isn’t Weil approved. It does look like she was moderately careful about it, though, as I searched for those ads for Dior where she’s wearing a watch and couldn’t find them. She usually didn’t have any jewelry on in the Dior ads apart from holding up the perfume bottle like an earring. She was seen wearing jewelry which she discards like so much garbage in the commercial, though, which is below.

Theron is probably more friendly and in touch with the Dior people, which may explain the watch oversight. She went with Dior designer John Galliano to the Costume Institute Gala last spring, and he is responsible for her poofy monstrosity of an Oscar dress.

Jessica Simpson also forgot her duties as a brand representative for jeans, and is being sued for a whopping $100 million by Tarrant Apparrel for not wearing the jeans named after her and plugging the brand “True Religion” when asked in an interview what her favorite jeans were.

I haven’t reported on this yet as I feel really sorry for Brandy and the victim and don’t want to think about it too much, but she caused an accident on an LA freeway last month which led to the death of a woman whose car she hit in a multi-car pileup.

It happened at 10:30 AM on December 30, 2006 on the 405 Freeway in Los Angeles. Law enforcement sources tell TMZ Brandy was driving her 2007 Land Rover at 65 mph and did not notice that cars in front of her had slowed considerably. We’re told Brandy’s vehicle struck a 2005 Toyota. The Toyota then hit a 1989 Toyota. The 2005 Toyota then slid sideways and hit the center divider. As the 2005 Toyota came to a halt, it was struck by a 1988 Acura…

We’re told the driver of the 2005 Toyota, Awatef Aboudihaj, was taken to Holy Cross Hospital in critical condition and she died the next day. Aboudihaj, a 38-year-old married mother of one, was a Los Angeles resident.

Brandy was said to be wandering around distraught afterwards on dangerous freeway saying it was her fault.

The California Highway Patrol is recommending that she be charged with misdemeanor vehicular manslaughter, but she has not been officiallly charged yet. The case is under review by the city’s attorney’s office.

A source in the police department told TMZ that they believe she was driving too fast and that her negligence caused the crash. They do not believe she was grossly negligent, which I guess means she is at fault but that the case is not clear cut or something. Brandy was not under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

A civil rights group has chimed in, most likely to get publicity for their cause. They’re saying that Brandy is being made an example of because she’s a famous celebrity, and that it’s not fair.

Meanwhile Brandy is being sued for $50 million in a civil suit by the victim’s family. They claim she was driving recklessly when she hit Aboudihaj’s car.

This is just a sad story all around, and it must be devastating for Brandy and for the victim’s family. I wasn’t paying attention once and caused a minor car accident. I was super tired but that was no excuse. I can’t imagine causing someone’s death.

For anyone who suspected that Paris Hilton was somehow behind the release of all her personal stuff on the Paris Exposed site here’s your answer. She’s suing the creators of the site and demanding they shut it down and return the items:

Paris Hilton is suing in an attempt to shut down a Web site that displays personal photos, videos, diaries and other belongings once kept at a storage facility.

ParisExposed.com was launched last week claiming the items were auctioned off after Hilton neglected to pay the Los Angeles area storage facility. It also promises visitors who pay a fee of $39.97 access to Hilton’s passport, medical records and other legal documents.

The lawsuit alleges defendants Nabil and Nabila Haniss paid more than $2,700 for the contents of the storage unit and later sold the items for $10 million to entrepreneur Bardia Persa, who created ParisExposed.com.

Hilton’s publicist says, in addition to shutting down the Web site, she would like all of the items returned to her.

$10 million sounds like a lot to pay for all that junk. They’d have to get 25,000 subscribers to reach $10 million, and it must have cost at least 75k to put all that stuff online.

It doesn’t really matter if the suit is successful or not, as most everyone interested in the story has seen Paris’ personal things and videos. It seems like they’ll be off the mainstream web soon, but will surely be available as torrents for years.

Paris is keeping a stiff upper lip, and was back working as a model for Fila in a photoshoot yesterday.

Trashtastic Anna Nicole has more well-deserved legal trouble in a month than most of us see in a lifetime. She has a newborn baby she claims was spawned by her parasitic lawyer turned boyfriend, Howard K Stern, who most likely provided her teenaged son with the heroin substitute that killed him in a lethal drug interaction. Stern is under investigation for the death by the Bahamian government, where he and Anna fled in a ploy to deny the other guy paternity rights.

There is witness who claims that Stern gave Anna’s son the dose of methadone that killed him, and that he saw Stern flush the rest of the drugs down the toilet after Daniel died. Details will supposedly come out at an inquest on March 26, where more than 20 witnesses will be called to testify.

Now the self-proclaimed father of Anna’s baby, Larry Birkhead, has a legal case ordering her to submit to paternity testing by today, January 23rd. Anna’s desperate lawyers are trying all sorts of legal shell games to avoid the test, even though Howard K Stern told Larry King that Anna would submit to it “if legally compelled.”

Anna is also being sued by her former lawyers for non-payment of their massive bills in a case that claims she habitually avoids paying her creditors.

Plus she’s about to get evicted from her Bahamian home for failing to pay rent. Anna says the rich guy who owns the home, who she once tried to pin paternity of the baby on but failed when she was told he was sterile, gave her the house as a gift, while he says Anna’s a dirty squatter.

Bitch is about to get owned, and she still doesn’t have her grubby paws on the 1/2 a billion she thinks she’s owed for jerking off an 89 year-old man for a year.

Keira Knightley is suing the Daily Mail for running a story implying she’s in denial about her anorexia … and also for misrepresenting her clearly striped bikini as polka dot with their failed attempt at a clever Headlline.

The pictures don’t make much of a supporting argument, as both she and boyfriend, Rupert Friend (I guess she can probably call him her boyrupert at this point … boyfriend is a little formal … I’m sure they are on a first name basis what with all this beach romping ) appear firmly ensconced in the pale, slim, but muscled and fit school of youthful looks. I mean they are both sporting abdomens I’d love to serve a six course meal on.

However, it’s always up for debate these days … it’s a thin line indeed.

The rexy or not rexy wars are pretty much a staple for the tabloids these days (often with good cause) – they certainly add a dash of instant morality to beach paparazzi shots – all the skin you like and its for the social good. The Daily mail laid it on extra thick with the grieving mother – how can you not feel bad … but the connection to “Miss Knightley” was a bit … I need another word than thin here … tenuous …. weak … padding for a three line article to go along with the bikini shot.

James Brown seems to be just as controversial in (recent) death as he was in his very eventful life. The godfather of soul is laid out resting peacefully in his Georgia mansion, where his live-in girlfriend was immediately barred from entering after he died. It seems like his legal vultures are contesting the estate and that no one has jurisdiction over his body yet.

He’s being kept in a guarded climate-controlled environment that sounds quite creepy:

Two weeks after James Brown, 73, died of heart failure, problems concerning his estate, his will and his resting place, are still unsolved. An attorney for the singer said they will all be handled in “due course.”

According to Charles Reid, manger of the C.A. Reid Funeral Home in Augusta, Ga., which handled the services, the soul singer’s body was taken back to his Beech Island home where it lays locked in a casket. Reid also said the room’s temperature is controlled and kept safe by security guards.

The house has been sealed since shortly after his death. His attorney said the move was necessary as a protection measure for his memorabilia, clothing and other items.

It’s mean to bar a man’s partner and the mother of his child from entering her house just so you can get a bigger cut of the memorabilia profits. She seems to be coping with the help of pharmaceuticals.

Meanwhile a rape case against Brown may still go to trial. A woman is fighting the statute of limitations on rape cases and is trying to proceed with a lawsuit that charges Brown with raping her 20 years ago. She says it’s too bad she won’t be able to face him in court, but that she is filing a case against his organization. Her case was rejected in court last year due to the time elapsed since the supposed incident.

Trashtastic Anna Nicole Smith and her weird boyfriend/lawyer Howard K. Stern took in the Samuel Peter vs. James Toney boxing match Saturday night in Florida. Smith and Stern are stateside by court order, and must submit Anna’s baby to paternity testing by January 23rd. Stern claims to be the father of the baby but the general consensus is that paparrazo Larry Birkhead is the biological father. Birkhead is suing Smith for custody.

MSNBC’s The Scoop reports that Anna is trying to set up an offshore company in order to hide potential assets from Birkhead. Anna is still fighting for a piece of the $1.6 billion estate of J. Howard Marshall, the 89 year-old guy she married and jerked off for a year before he died in 1995. His son, who was trying to bar Anna from cashing in on the will, passed away last summer, but word is that Anna doesn’t have much of a chance of getting the money now.

Anna Nicole showed off a new huge back tattoo that features her and her baby Dannielynn in a cute pose together. I first thought it was Anna’s departed son Daniel on the tattoo, but now it looks more like Anna to me. Whoever did the tattoo was probably as medicated as Anna usually is, and they certainly weren’t a talented artist. It would make more sense if it was supposed to be Daniel, but doesn’t it look like Anna?

These pictures show what a parasite Howard K. Stern is. He looks like he’s smelling Anna’s hair here and in every photo he’s grabbing onto to her. What a freak he is.

A 29 year-old woman has come forward claiming to be Mel Gibson’s daughter. She says her mother was just 17 while she met the then 30 year-old Gibson while hitchhiking in Australia. She said Mel went home to get a mattress and a pillow for the back of his station wagon just in case they, you know, got tired, and that he got her mom pregnant during their brief encounter. Although he had yet to make the Mad Max movies, Mel was quite sure of himself at that age and bragged to the teen hitchhiker that he was going to be a famous actor:

Carmel, 29, said: “I’m not doing it for his money. I just want to meet the man I’ve always known was my dad — and for him to get to know his grandson.”

The paternity suit is the latest blow for the Braveheart star. Earlier this year he was arrested for drink-driving and launched an anti-Jewish tirade against cops.

Legal papers will be served on Gibson, 50, this week and he will either have to admit he’s the father or have a swab taken from inside his mouth for DNA testing.

Carmel — who has seen every film he’s made — added: “I’d love it if he recognised us as family. I’m not looking for a meal ticket. I am happy with my life.”

Her amazing story began in 1976 when Mel, then a young Australian wannabe actor in Adelaide, picked up Carmel’s mum Marilyn as she was hitch-hiking.

The aspiring star — who now has seven children with his wife of 26 years, Robyn — hadn’t even made his first movie when he stopped for the blonde 17-year-old thumbing a lift to Sydney.

Carmel’s mum Marilyn, now 47, recalls: “I was a slim young woman in tight-fitting jeans on the side of the road when a station wagon stopped.

“He told me his name was Mel. He said he would take me all the way but first he had to go home and get some petrol money.

“He made me hide under a blanket in the back of the car, saying something about his mother being in town. We stopped outside a house and he came out with a mattress and a couple of pillows and some petrol money.

“He said he had brought the mattress in case we had to stop for the night. We got on really well. He was charming and funny. He told me he was going to be a famous movie star.

“He said he was going to change his name but I told him not to. I said Mel Gibson was a really nice name and it suited him.

“When we stopped for the night Mel got in the back on the mattress but I stayed in the front. I said I didn’t trust him but to be honest I didn’t trust myself either! He was so sexy. I didn’t have any contraceptives with me and I hadn’t had much to do with guys.

“Eventually he persuaded me to join him in the back. I told him, ‘If anything happens and I get pregnant I’ll come looking for you’. He replied, ‘I am going to be famous. You will always know where to find me.’

“We spent the night making love and talking. But when it got light Mel said he had to be back at work — in an orange juice factory in Adelaide.

“I got out of the car and never saw him again. It broke my heart to walk away.

The 29 year-old has a ten year old son, who could be Gibson’s grandson. She claims that she is not looking for money, but that sounds unlikely.

It seems like Gibson has some powerful sperm if this is true. He has a whopping seven children with his wife of 27 years, Robyn Moore.

Gibson’s gross-out tale Apocalypto is inexplicably first at the box office. That could explain this woman’s motivation.

Bill Cosby just settled a case out of court with a woman who claimed he drugged and raped her two years ago. Probably the main reason he settled the case was the fact that there were 13 women willing to testify in court that Cosby had done the exact same thing to them! Two of the women lined up to testify are telling their story to People Magazine. The two former models say that they had beverages while hanging out with Cosby in the 80s and that they woke up hours later feeling sick and with their clothes off. Both of them ended up having relationships with him, which doesn’t mean that their stories aren’t true, just that they were impressionable and rather stupid to keep seeing Cosby afterwards. One of them was just 18 at the time.

The allegations came out after Cosby settled out of court last month a civil lawsuit charging him with sexual assault and drugging a woman in Philadelphia in 2004.

The trial had 13 witnesses lined up, listed as “Jane Does,” who stood ready to testify of similar experiences with the comic.

Barbara Bowman and Beth Ferrier were two of the 13, and both were interviewed and pictured in the People story. The two were represented by JF Images when they were introduced to Cosby in the ’80s. (Neither woman had come forward before, and they do not stand to profit from the allegations as the statute of limitations has expired, according to People.)

Bowman, who is married and now lives in a Phoenix suburb, was 18 when she says Farrell arranged to have her meet Cosby at a Denver nightclub, Turn of the Century. People magazine says Farrell then arranged for Bowman to move to New York, where her professional relationship with Cosby continued. Bowman says that in a Reno hotel in 1986, “(Cosby) took my hand and his hand over it, and he masturbated with his hand over my hand.”

She goes on to say that soon she was in a New York townhouse with Cosby, who gave her a glass of red wine. “The next thing I know,” she is quoted, “I’m sick and nauseous and I’m delusional and I’m limp and … I can’t think straight. … And I just came to, and I’m wearing a (men’s) T-shirt that wasn’t mine, and he was in a white robe.”

Ferrier, a single mom who still lives in Denver, says she was introduced to Cosby by Farrell in the mid-’80s. She tells People that Cosby was her mentor, a “father figure” to her, when she drank some cappuccino in his Denver dressing room and blacked out.

“I woke up in my car in the parking lot with my clothes all a mess,” she tells People. “I was definitely drugged. All I had to drink was coffee, and the room was spinning. Then I wake up with my clothes a mess and my bra unhooked. I wondered, I still wonder, ‘What did he do with me? Why was my bra unhooked? What happened?”‘

Ferrier went on to have an “on-and-off” consensual affair with Cosby for several years.

Bill Cosby is pretty much on my shit list after he tried to sue Waxy.org for reposting a parody cartoon of him as a wacky clone called “House of Cosbys.” He also drew heat after blaming African-Americans for their plight post-Katrina.

If this shit is true he needs to do some jail time. Unfortunately the statute of limitations is up, so that means that these women can’t bring up their own charges or profit from their stories. He’ll be 70 next year, so it’s surprising that he was pulling this same stunt and was caught at it just two years ago. He’s been married to Camille Cosby since 1964 and they have five children together.

JLo! At least we’re only subjected to her ass crack and not her entire nether region. She could have some floss-like thong on, but it’s hard to see.

JLo’s first ex husband, waiter Ojani Noa, wants to cash in with a huge tell-all book about his one-year marriage to the pop star. She made him sign a confidentiality agreement as part of a settlement for firing him as the manager at her Miami restaurant, and the two are now battling it out in court. He vows to continue fighting, because he’s probably got nothing better to do. It doesn’t look like he has a lawyer yet though:

Latina superstar Jennifer Lopez is facing a court battle in her ongoing legal dispute with her first ex-husband – Ojani Noa has vowed to fight her “to the end.” The singer/actress filed her suit against the former waiter in April, after Noa announced plans to detail their one-year marriage in a tell-all book. She also obtained a restraining order barring Noa from revealing intimate details of their sex life.

Noa and Lopez signed an agreement last year, ruling he could not disparage the star or make money from disclosing intimate details from their brief marriage. But Noa told a Los Angeles judge Friday that he regrets agreeing to the preliminary injunctions.

He said, “I want to fight this thing to the end. My life has not been the same since this lawsuit was filed.” The judge told Noa he must hire a lawyer by January 17 or represent himself in court.

He probably has a lot of sordid details to reveal about J.Lo and she fears that they’ll get out. What better way to head off revealing news than by showing some skin?
