Lindsay Lohan’s E*Trade “milkaholic” lawsuit settled out of court

fp_5660763_lohan_lindsay_moe_0831101

Earlier this year, back in March, Lindsay Lohan and her team of batsh-t crazy lawyers decided to file a $100 million lawsuit against E*TRADE. What had the company done to our little crackhead? Well, they had mocked her, terribly, and destroyed her fragile little mind and damaged her unblemished and sterling reputation. E*TRADE had used their talking babies, and their new commercial featured a talking baby identified as “Lindsay” – and this baby was a “milkaholic.” Lindsay’s lawsuit stemmed from the idea that she’s so famous and important that she’s known as just “Lindsay” – like Cher or Madonna. Dina even got into the act, claiming that E*TRADE were “babies” and they were “mocking a child.” It was beautiful. Here’s the commercial that started it all:

Anyway, yesterday the announcement came down – E*TRADE and the poor maligned Lohans came to a settlement agreement, and the lawsuit was withdrawn:

Lindsay Lohan just milked E*Trade all the way to the bank — and it’s all over a Super Bowl commercial that may have insinuated Lohan is a “milkaholic.” TMZ has learned Lohan’s $100 million lawsuit against E*Trade has been settled.

The terms of the settlement are confidential — but we’re told Lindsay’s team is “very happy” with the results … and sources say Lindsay got some cash out of it. As we previously reported, Lindsay claimed the stock trading company violated her rights by featuring a baby character named Lindsay who happens to be the “milkaholic” other woman in a baby love triangle.

Lindsay’s high-powered attorney Stephanie Ovadia tells TMZ, “The case between Lindsay and E*Trade has been settled … there is no further comment.”

E*Trade reps tell TMZ, “E*TRADE has always maintained that the claims were without merit, which is why we moved to dismiss the case. With the case now withdrawn, we are pleased to have the matter behind us.”

Dina Lohan also weighed in, saying, “The family is pleased that the case has been settled.”

[From TMZ]

First: Mother Crackhead speaks! This is her first statement since the milkaholic tested positive. Second: This news was kind of lost because the announcement came out within the same hour as Lindsay’s probation being revoked, and a bench warrant being issued, because she’s a cokehead, a crankhead and a f-cked up cracked-out liar. I hope E*TRADE didn’t have to pay too much – honestly, the Lohans are such f-cked-up, hustlers, I doubt the settlement was anything beyond the low 6-figures. Which they shouldn’t have to pay, but whatever, it’s easier then taking this thing all the way. Stupid milkaholic Lohans.

One more Lohan story: Fox News’ legal experts think that the judge will likely throw Lindsay back in jail immediately after Friday’s hearing. The whole thing is here – apparently, at this point, it’s totally up to the judge’s discretion whether or not she goes to jail for violating her probation. Eh.

Ex Britney Bodyguard files lawsuit: she beat son with a belt, had sex in front of kids

fp_5595529_spears_britney_f
An ex bodyguard of Britney Spears has filed a lawsuit for sexual harassment and emotional distress. Fernando Flores worked or Britney from February to May of this year and alleges that the 28 year-old pop singer repeatedly exposed herself to him along with abusing her two sons, which he supposedly witnessed. We’ve heard this from Flores before as he first spoke to the press in June, telling British paper The Sun that Britney often walked around naked and was seen hitting little Sean Preston with a belt. Britney was investigated by CPS and cleared after that claim.

Here are details from TMZ* Radar quotes a source who says that Flores “doesn’t want to settle this. He says he wants the lawsuit to go all the way.”

According to the suit, a copy of which TMZ has obtained, Fernando Flores claims Britney made “repeated unwanted sexual advances” toward him by exposing herself in front of him in her home.

Flores alleges, on one occasion — in a scene right out of “Legally Blonde” — “She was wearing a white lace, see-through dress. She walked over close by [Flores], intentionally dropped her cigarette lighter on the floor, bent over to retrieve it and thereby exposed her uncovered genitals to [Flores].” The lawsuit goes on, “The incident caused [Flores] shock and disgust.”

The suit then goes on to describe another alleged instance where Britney summoned Flores to her room, where she was standing naked. The suit claims, “After an awkward silence during which [Britney] just stood naked before [Flores], [Flores] asked Spears if she needed anything. After some hesitation, Spears asked [Flores] to get her two bottles of 7 Up.”

One time after allegedly exposing herself, the suit claims Britney said, “You know you liked it.”

And the suit says, “In addition to exposing herself to [Flores], Spears engaged in numerous sex acts in front of [Flores].” There’s also an allegation Britney was “loudly having sexual relations” in a hotel suite where her kids were present. The suit does not say if the kids saw anything.

And there is a more serious allegation — The suit claims on one occasion Britney allegedly demanded Flores’ belt, then walked in the house and allegedly twice “savagely hit the small child [Preston]” with the belt.

And the suit claims on another occasion Britney fed both kids crabmeat even though she knew they had serious fish allergies. The suit claims both kids started vomiting and Spears allegedly prevented anyone from seeking medical help, allegedly telling them, “Mind your own f**king business!”

Although it is not mentioned in the lawsuit, sources have told TMZ … Flores contacted the L.A. County Department of Children and Family Services. And we’re told DCFS investigated and determined the claim had no merit.

[From TMZ]

It’s very easy to believe that Britney would proposition her bodyguard and walk around naked in front of the guy. This is her M.O. and we’ve seen her do it for the paparazzi for years. I hope that the boys were sleeping when she had sex in the hotel suite where they were all staying, that she never fed them crabmeat knowing they were allergic, and that she never hit Preston with a belt. I could see her hitting her boys with a belt though, as depressing as it is to think about someone treating a little kid like that. Britney is mentally ill and we’ve seen that she has poor parenting skills. Still, we have to consider this guy’s motivations and the fact that these are just allegations at this point. He’s not the first bodyguard to claim that Britney is an awful mother, though.

*It’s worth noting that there are two stories of potential child abuse, the belt and the food allergy incident, that TMZ and Radar report are in the lawsuit, but that don’t appear in the PDF of the lawsuit on TMZ. Radar has those allegations in the PDF of the lawsuit they posted. It looks like the two sites have different versions of the same lawsuit, with some pages missing from TMZ’s.

“Harry Popper” condom brand sued by Warner Brothers

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I
This made me laugh so hard that I have to repeat it. Warner Brothers, the studio that puts out the popular Harry Potter franchise, is suing a Swiss condom maker for a brand of protection named… wait for it (although it’s already in the title so I don’t know why I’m bothering) Harry Popper. The little condom on the package wears Harry Potter’s trademark round glasses along with brandishing a wand and a devilish look.

harrypopperYou’d think it would be a major mojo boost for Daniel Radcliffe to get a condom company named after his Harry Potter character, but sadly Warner Bros. disagrees.

The Swiss condom brand “Harry Popper” is reportedly being sued for copyright infringement by the studio.

Gawker.com details the hubbub with a broken-English quote from the Swiss newspaper Bote: “For Warner Bros. is obvious: The sorcerer Harry Potter have a ‘very positive image.’ Condoms have no business there. Especially not now. According to Warner Bros. in November to plan the launch of the new Potter movie. Also a new video game is in preparation. The lawyer for Warner Bros. bluntly: ‘The image of my client is in danger.’ ”

There is no denying the correlation between the latex protectors and the ever-so-popular wizard movie. If the name didn’t do it for you, the illustration of a condom swinging a wand and wearing round-frame glasses will.

But more importantly, is it smart to market condoms with “popper” in the name, anyway?

[From E! Online]

I’m also reminded of an inappropriate but hilarious caption that our friends at The Blemish gave to a promotional image of Emma Watson in the upcoming Dealthy Hallows movie. (Part one of the two final Harry Potter films coming our way.)

The kids are all grown up now and Daniel Radcliffe has even shown the full monty on stage. He surely finds things like “Harry Popper” condoms and erotic fan fiction amusing, but Warner Brothers has a teen-oriented franchise to protect and they’re going to go after infringers. I can’t blame them, although it will make these “Harry Popper” condoms a collector’s item. I know I’d like to get my hands on some.

Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows, Part 1 is out in November, with the final installment out in the summer of 2011. I’ve read all the books but am not eagerly anticipating the movies. The series lost its luster for me with the last film, Half Blood Prince, which I wasn’t able to sit through in the theater. I still haven’t seen the whole movie. You can yell at me now.

Casey Affleck sued for sexual harassment

wenn5083265

Casey Affleck has been sued for sexual harassment by a female producer named Amanda White, who worked on Casey’s documentary, I’m Still Here: The Lost Year of Joaquin Phoenix. White claims that Casey habitually demeaned her, spoke in graphic detail about sex, said and texted rude things and invited her to spend the night with him in a hotel, and after she refused, he got aggressive and grabby, and then he didn’t pay her. Casey is married to Joaquin’s sister, Summer, and they have two sons together, Indiana (who is six years old) and Atticus (who will be three years old in November).

Maybe Casey Affleck is looking to quit acting for a while, too. One of the producers on the “Joaquin Phoenix tries hip-hop” documentary the actor’s been working on has sued Affleck for $2 million, claiming he refused to pay her after she refused to spend the night in a hotel with him.

Affleck—who denies all—is married to Phoenix’s little sister, Summer, and they have two sons.

In the lawsuit filed Friday in Los Angeles Superior Court, Amanda White alleges that she endured “uninvited and unwelcome sexual advances in the workplace” throughout the making of I’m Still Here: The Lost Year of Joaquin Phoenix, which, incidentally, just recently found a distributor.

“Affleck repeatedly referred to women as ‘cows’; he discussed his sexual exploits and those of other celebrities that he allegedly witnessed; and asked [White], after learning her age, ‘Isn’t it about time you get pregnant?’” the suit states.

White also claims that, while shooting in Costa Rica, she was unable to go to her hotel room one night because Phoenix and Affleck were in there with two women. While filming at the Palazzo in Las Vegas, White continues, Affleck hired prostitutes to be on set, but none of that footage ended up in the movie. She believes that Affleck employed the hookers “for his personal gratification,” subjecting her and cinematographer Magdalena Gorka to the scene “for reasons having nothing to do with the purpose of the project.”

Finally, White claims, when the production moved to San Francisco, Affleck tried to get her to share a hotel room with him. When she refused, the suit states, he “became hostile and aggressive” and “violently grabbed her arm in an effort to intimidate her into staying.” After being slighted, he sent her “abusive” text messages.

Ultimately, Affleck refused to give White the $50,000 they had agreed on for her work on the film and, after she repeatedly complained and got nothing, she quit.

In response to the suit, attorney Michael J. Plonsker said in a statement to E! News on behalf of Affleck and codefendant Flemmy Productions that White’s claims are “preposterous and without merit.”

“Ms. White was terminated from the production over a year ago,” Plonsker said. “She and her lawyers believe that this maliciously and erroneously filed complaint will cause the producers to succumb to her outrageous and baseless demands. She is mistaken. The complaint will be vigorously defended and cross-claims will be filed against her.”

White is asking for at least $2 million in damages to cover sexual harassment, retaliation, failure to prevent harassment/retaliation, constructive discharge in violation of public policy, breach of oral contract, unjust enrichment, and negligent and intentional infliction of emotional distress.

[From E! News]

It’s so oddly specific, I tend to think there might be something there. Plus, I’ve always believed Casey is a strange dude, and maybe this answers some questions? Of course we don’t know who is telling the truth, and it’s a bold move for Casey to counter-sue, especially if White does have any proof of her allegations. Maybe we can find a way to blame Joaquin and his f-cked up performance art.

Sexual harassment suit against David Boreanaz is sordid and sounds legitimate

Yesterday I was skeptical when reporting the news about an upcoming sexual harassment suit against Bones star David Boreanaz. The alleged victim was to be represented by Gloria Allred, who has taken on several clients looking to get a payday out of the famous married men they were sleeping with. In a statement in May admitting his infidelity, Boreanaz said that a woman he was involved with “asked for money. I felt as though I was being blackmailed or there was some sort of extortion.” There is also that detail that Allred currently represents two out of the six strippers on the “Girls from the Hottest [Celebrity] Scandals” tour, which also includes an adult entertainment professional, Demi Delia (Gina Rodriguez), who claims to have been Boreanaz’s mistress.

Only now that the details are out about the allegations it doesn’t sound like that’s the scenario at all. Allred held an impromptu press conference outside the courthouse yesterday with her new client, a previously unknown actress called Kristina Hagan. Hagan worked as an extra on the set of Bones, where Boreanaz approached her under the pretense that he could help her with her career. Her claims make Boreanaz sound more like a creepy abusive predator than just the serial cheater we came to know him as. What’s more is that Allred claims to represent another woman who has sexual harassment claims against Boreanaz, and there is another harassment claim filed against him by a different actress (who may or may not be the other woman represented by Allred) with the State of California Department of Fair Employment and Housing.

E! Online has a breakdown of one the allegations (below). According to the lawsuit, Boreanaz met Hagan on the set of Bones and took her headshot and contact information with the promise to help her find acting work. He then sent her a barrage of text messages that day, including one with a naked shot of his penis. The lawsuit (available as a PDF on E-Online) details three different occasions in which Boreanaz tried to force himself on Hagan: in his car after offering her a ride following a coffee date, in his car when he came to meet her at her apartment, and in his trailer on set. She claims to have put up with it while under the impression that Boreanaz could get her a role on Bones.

Gloria Allred… filed a lawsuit today on behalf of an actress who claims she was sexually harassed by Boreanaz.

According to Kristina Hagan’s complaint, the 41-year-old Boreanaz approached her after she completed shooting a bit part on his hit Fox drama to ask for her headshots. Then, per the suit, he sent numerous “sexually inappropriate text messages” to her, including a cell-phone pic of—TMI alert!—his penis.

But Boreanaz isn’t going down without a fight.

“The allegations concerning any alleged inappropriate conduct by David Boreanaz are totally fabricated and absurd,” his rep told E! News. “There is no validity to this lawsuit.

According to her filing, on Sept. 9, 2009, Boreanaz offered to give her a ride. He told her he was trying to find the right role for her, and informed her he’s “the boss” who “could make things happen for her,” per court docs.

He allegedly drove Hagan to a park, where, according to the suit, he tried to force himself on her.

“[David] attempted to kiss her and touch her breasts but she pushed him away,” the lawsuit states. “[He then] unzipped his pants, pulled out his penis and began stroking it until he ejaculated.”

The complaint states that he subsequently “pushed himself on top of her, and when he tried to put his hand down her pants and touch her, she pushed him off of her.”

Then, on Sept. 29, he allegedly tried to put the moves on her in his trailer.

After filing the lawsuit, Allred and Hagan briefly addressed reporters and showed a photo of the plaintiff posing with Boreanaz.

“She is an actress who is working toward her goals, but who like many other actresses has not yet been able to achieve them,” said Allred. “For that reason, she is extremely vulnerable as many actresses are in Hollywood.”

Added Hagan: “I have confidence in the justice system and that is why I have decided to file this case.”

Hagan’s IMDb page doesn’t include any credits, but her bio says she attended Catholic school, is a married mother of two and her favorite mottos are “‘good clean fun!” and “we’re human and that’s the beauty of it all!”

[From E! Online]

It sounds more than naive for this woman to even agree to meet Boreanaz for coffee after he send her a photo of his d*ck, not to mention see him twice more after he sexually abused her. However, consider how many times he must have pulled this same very obvious and disgusting act before he found a woman who 1. put up with it hoping he was telling the truth and 2. lawyered up and decided to report it.

So not only is Boreanaz an admitted serial cheater, he’s probably a serial harasser who regularly trolled the Bones lot for victims. If this is true, and especially if (when) other women come out, I hope that Fox seriously considers whether it’s worth the trouble to fend off multiple lawsuits. Maybe his wife will wise up too and realize that all the jewelry in the world isn’t worth it.

Brad & Angelina settle with News of the World, NOTW says they made split story up

fp_5430532_rij_salt_071910

Back in January of this year, the British tabloid News of the World reported that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie had contacted a divorce lawyer and begun to set up a settlement for their finances and custody of the kids. It was oddly specific, and it made a big splash in the international press, and even got picked up by the legit media. NOTW never retracted their story, despite denials from the Brangelina camp. So a week later, La Brangelina filed a lawsuit against NOTW. Now their suit has been settled, with NOTW making a financial settlement to Brad and Angelina, and NOTW also had to eat sh-t publicly, admitting that they made the whole thing up:

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie settled a lawsuit against News Corp.’s News of the World newspaper in the U.K. over stories that said the couple was planning to separate.

“The News of the World’s publication of these falsehoods spawned an array of false stories published all over the world,” Jolie and Pitt’s lawyer, Keith Schilling, said in court today. “When the News of the World failed to publicly retract the allegations and apologize for them — thereby leaving their readers in the dark as to the true position — the couple felt they had no alternative than to sue.”

The News of the World published a front-page story in January saying the actors had visited divorce lawyers in late 2009 and were deciding how to divide 205 million pounds ($313 million) in assets and custody of their six children, according to a statement Schilling read in a London court.

The newspaper published a second story a week later repeating the allegations and saying Pitt and Jolie were arguing over who had leaked details of their separation to the press.

The couple sued in February. A News Corp. unit in the U.K. admitted the stories were false and agreed to pay undisclosed damages to the couple’s charity, Schilling said.

[From Bloomberg]

Their attorney Keith Schilling also said: “Today’s victory marks the end of the litigation brought by Brad and Angelina.” So I guess Brad and Angelina got what they wanted – an admission of falsity, and money to help ease the pain (they’ll probably donate it to charity). Personally, I love how easy it is for celebrities to sue the tabloids in Britain – it’s much easier over there than it is in America. It might have to be – I tend to think the British tabloids will run with some of the craziest stories out there.

So, is the story done now? Can we just acknowledge that Brad and Angelina don’t seem to be breaking up any time soon? Some people still don’t believe it, and this victory will mean nothing. Oh, well.

David Boreanaz to be sued for sexual harassment by ‘actress’ repped by Gloria Allred
LOS ANGELES, CA - APRIL 02: Attorney Gloria Allred speaks during a press conference at the law offices of attorney Gloria Allred on April 2, 2010 in Los Angeles, California. (Photo by Frederick M. Brown/Getty Images)

Radar Online reports that Bones star David Boreanaz will be sued for sexual harassment today in a lawsuit that will be filed by celebrity attorney Gloria Allred. Boreanaz has had at least two affairs that we know of – one with Tiger mistress and current Celebrity Rehab contestant Rachel Uchitel and another with a porn star named Demi Delia.

Now normally I would take sexual harassment allegations very seriously. But let’s consider the fact that Back in May, Boreanaz admitted cheating on his wife and said that he was the victim of a mistress trying to extort money from him. TMZ reported that the woman was represented by Gloria Allred but that it wasn’t Rachel Uchitel.

There’s a new stripper/porn star tour featuring mistresses of Tiger Woods, Jesse James and David Boreanaz and two out of the six strippers are currently represented by Gloria Allred. The tour also includes named Boreanaz mistress Demi Delia, and she may just be the “actress” that Allred is representing. This is a delicate subject because in no way would I say that a woman is not entitled to make a sexual harassment claim due to a career in adult entertainment. On the other hand, you have to consider the history of this case and some of the ridiculous antics that Allred has pulled with her clients. Allred’s credibility is questionable, and she’ll go to great lengths to get publicity. I wouldn’t put it past her to twist an affair into a sexual harassment lawsuit.

Here’s some of Radar’s report:

Bones star David Boreanaz, who has been caught in two extramarital affairs, is now being sued for sexual harassment by an actress, RadarOnline.com has learned exclusively.

The lawsuit will be filed at 11 am PT Thursday in downtown Los Angeles by powerhouse attorney Gloria Allred. The actress will be with Allred when the papers are filed.

As RadarOnline.com revealed, Boreanaz had an affair with Tiger Woods’ mistress Rachel Uchitel. Earlier this year, Boreanaz admitted to a different affair and said the unnamed woman was trying to extort money from him.

That woman hired Allred. It is not known if she is the woman filing the lawsuit Thursday.

[From Radar Online]

If Allred’s new client has a legitimate claim and is not this Demi Delia mistress, (whose real name is Gina Rodriguez), first of all I would be surprised and secondly the woman is doing herself a disservice by hiring Allred. Allred adds the taint of “pitt bull on a one-sided mission” to everything she does, and has been involved in several cases in which it looked like her clients were trying to squeeze money out of someone. So is it this Gina Rodriguez/Demi Delia character and is Allred just taking the “sexual harassment” angle hoping for a settlement? If this report from Radar is correct, we’ll see at 11:00 am PST.

Jude Law tries to block ex Sadie Frost’s sleazy tell-all book

jude_law_5_wenn2914251

Jude Law is in the Czech Republic for the annual film festival, and the photos of him are quite amazing. I love when he looks like this – all tan and smarmy and furry and sweaty and pretty, all at once. Why can’t American men look like this? Only Europeans. It sucks. He is such a beautiful man, it’s not even funny. The photo of him with his sunglasses on, licking his lips as he’s about to greet the crowd – I mean, that’s what a f-cking movie star looks like. He reeks of old-world, old-school, old-Hollywood glamour, with a nod to the smarminess we now know about all of those old stars. He looks like he’s about to get someone pregnant, and he won’t even know her name.

Jude had a rough time last week – he filed an injuction to stop publication of his ex-wife Sadie Frost’s tell-all memoir, Crazy Days. It’s set to be published in the UK in October, and Sadie is thought to detail not only her marriage to Jude, but details of their relationship post-divorce, like stuff involving Sienna Miller and that nanny. My guess is that it will probably also detail all of those rumored drug-filled orgies with Kate Moss too (fun!). So Jude wants no part:

Their life has often resembled a kitchen-sink drama, but the relationship between Jude Law and Sadie Frost has reached a new low. For I can reveal the actor finally lost patience with his ex-wife over her plans to write her memoirs — and has begun court proceedings to halt her divulging the secrets of their turbulent marriage.

‘Jude is trying to injunct her to stop the book,’ I am told.

The memoir, which she is writing herself, is called Crazy Days. It is due to be published in October, and is said to be well advanced.

‘She’s poured her heart into this and is upset and hurt by what Jude has done,’ a friend of the actress-turned-designer tells me. ‘She thought they were getting on very well — and suddenly he’s serving a 100-page writ. It’s ironic, because he had been at her house earlier in the day and they discussed the book, which is going to be very honest. She knows he has reservations, but she’s let him read bits of it. She’s astonished he’s taken this step.’

It is understood Law, who is expected to marry actress Sienna Miller this summer, is concerned revelations about their turbulent marriage could upset the couple’s three children, Rafferty, 14, Iris, ten, and Rudy, eight. He also does not want pictures of the children, whose privacy he fiercely protects, appearing.

The book is expected to lift the lid on Sadie’s colourful life in North London, where she became queen bee of the louche, so-called ‘Primrose Hill posse’. It spans her childhood, acting career and entry into the fashion world — as well as her marriage and break-up with Law.

Friends of Sadie insist the book is about her story, not about her ex-husband’s, or that of close friends like Kate Moss.

Law, 37, and Frost, 44, wed in 1997 and divorced in 2003. The Alfie star then took up with Sienna, but they split up in 2005 after his affair with their nanny, Daisy Wright.

Sienna went out with actor Rhys Ifans and later with married father-of-four Balthazar Getty, while Sadie has enjoyed romances with a string of toyboys, including flamenco guitarist Jackson Scott.

Last night, Law’s solicitor, Mark Thomson of Atkins Thomson, said: ‘I can’t, at least I won’t, tell you anything about this.’

[From The Daily Mail]

Poor Jude. He’s got lady drama all over the place, doesn’t he? He can’t help it – the ladies in his life will always be drama-filled, because that’s the way he likes it. I’m starting to think he thrives on it. But I do see his point about blocking Sadie’s memoir. If Jude was smart, he would have included a confidentiality agreement into their divorce settlement – basically, if Sadie pulled this sh-t, Jude wouldn’t give her any more money. I wonder if that’s what he is threatening behind the scenes?

Lindsay Lohan is being sued after failing to pay her clothing bills

wenn5504727

A few weeks ago, Lindsay Lohan paid $100,000 for one drink. Allegedly. It was at an MTV Awards after-party that Lindsay maybe probably had a drink that set off her SCRAM, and violated her probation, thus, forfeiting her $100,000 bail. A new bail was set, et cetera, but Lindsay maybe probably definitely had to pay the court (or the bail bondsman) the initial $100,000. So Linds can drop $100K on a vodka tonic. This bitch is a player, right? Well, I thought at the time that Lindsay was going to run out of money very fast, especially if she continued violating her probation. This new report from TMZ is probably just the tip of the debt iceberg – according to them, Lindsay is being sued because she didn’t pay her $17 K-plus bill at Tough as Nails, an LA boutique.

Lindsay Lohan concocted a diabolical, fraudulent plan to defraud an L.A. boutique out of thousands of dollars … according to a lawsuit that will be filed today.

TMZ has obtained a copy of the suit, in which Tough as Nails — a boutique that sells expensive clothes, jewelry, and accessories — claims Lindsay shopped at the store between November, 2009 and February, 2010.

According to the suit, Lindsay racked up a bill of $17,060.83 and convinced the owners her business manager would play the bill. But much to the chagrin of the owners, Lindsay’s business manager paid a grand total of $180.

The suit, which will be filed in L.A. County Superior Court, alleges Lindsay “had no intention of causing her business manager to pay the entire balance.”

And there’s this — the suit claims the boutique owners relied on Lindsay’s “well known status as a movie actress with substantial income.” Wrong on both counts.

The owners say Lindsay committed premeditated fraud and are seeking the balance — $16,880.63 — plus interest and punitive damages.

No comment from Lindsay’s camp.

[From TMZ]

Eh. Not that shocking, really. I’m guessing there will be more of these kinds of suits brought against Lindsay in the future, as her “baller” existence meets her crushing debt and lack of income.

TMZ also had another story about Lindsay and her 2007 arrest – the dumbass cop who went through Lindsay’s thinks thought the cocaine on her Clinique Sun Care card was a crushed breath mint, and he tossed it in the trash. Ugh. So there was evidence contamination. Lucky break, Lindsay.

Mariah Carey is getting sued over a $30K vet bill
Mariah Carey introduces her newest family member to the world with her husband Nick Cannon in Aspen, Colorado. On December 22, 2009 Mariah and Nick made their way out of a shop with a fury little friend who had a special delivery about two months ago. Mariahs Jack Russell, Cha-Cha, who she received from Nick as a gift of love, had a puppy by c-section and she flew in her personal vet from Los Angeles to New York to help her dog deliver puppies, but the singer missed the birth due to her trip to London. Now she has to show off her love for the newest member in the family. Fame Pictures, Inc

I know that singer Mariah Carey has more money than many small countries, and it is her right to spend a lot of it on ridiculous, frivolous things that I will never comprehend. I get that. But $30,000 for a little over a month of veterinary care for three dogs? What exactly is this vet doing to earn that kind of fee? Maybe Mariah thought it was a little steep too- she hasn’t paid it, and now her vet, who says she caters to “prominent New Yorkers and celebrity clients,” is suing Carey.

Mariah Carey is in the doghouse with a veterinarian who says the pop superstar hasn’t paid nearly $30,000 in bills for three of her prized pooches.

Veterinarian Cindy Bressler sued Carey on Wednesday in a Manhattan state court.

Bressler provided “extraordinary services” for the Jack Russell terriers – Cha-Cha, Dolomite and JJ – but the Grammy Award-winning singer paid only about $8,200 of the roughly $37,800 in charges, the lawsuit says. The bills cover a little more than a month of care.

Bressler’s lawyer, Michael C. Posner, declined to elaborate on the dogs’ treatment. Bressler, whose website notes that she makes house calls in New York City and the Hamptons and caters to “prominent New Yorkers and celebrity clients,” didn’t immediately respond to an e-mail message seeking comment.

Carey’s spokeswoman didn’t immediately respond to telephone and e-mail messages.

The pop diva has made her dogs something of characters in her multiplatinum-selling career, including in some comic video sketches made as part of an MTV.com promotion and posted on YouTube. In one, she and JJ compare the fit of their jeans: “I told you those `fat-free’ dog treats weren’t fat-free,” she scolds.

She also regularly chronicles her dogs’ doings on her Twitter feed, from Cha-Cha urinating on her dressing room floor and jumping on her last September to Dolomite stealing her underwear out of a suitcase while she was vacationing in March.

I really want to know what these “extraordinary services” are. Plastic surgery, perhaps? Regression therapy? Psychic healing? What?

I have long thought that vets have the biggest scam going- they know we love our adorable pets and when faced with the thought of them being in pain or worse, we’ll pay any amount of money to make them well. It’s happened to me – you go in for a routine checkup with your dog, and by the end of the day you’ve agreed to a bunch of really expensive tests your pet doesn’t need because the vet scares the hell out of you. But $30K? It sounds like vets to the rich and famous have kicked the scam up a few notches, doesn’t it?
