Leonardo DiCaprio has a new interview with The Sun. It’s one of those bizarrely-written pieces that The Sun is getting famous for – like, they just accumulate all of the quotes from a celebrity in an interview, and put it together like a first-person essay. I only hooked onto this piece because Leo is kind of making his dude-issues front and center. Meaning that he spends a lot of time talking about the main woman in his life: his momma. Now, I don’t hate momma’s boys as a general rule. And Leo does detail his mother’s lifelong struggles and why she’s the main woman in his life, and some of it is rather sweet. But he also talks about girlfriends and what “turns him on” in a woman, and it becomes increasingly clear that Leo isn’t going to be settling down any time soon, and why would he? He will never find a woman as awesome as his mom. Maybe he doesn’t realize it?

Leo on his mom: “My mom, Irmelin, taught me the value of life. Her own life was saved by my grandmother during World War Two. When she was a toddler a broken leg had landed her in a German hospital. Refugees and soldiers were also in the hospital and she ended up contracting several major illnesses and stayed for two and a half years. My grandmother (Helene, who died in 2008, aged 93) came every day and nursed her back to health — the nurses did not have time. They basically left her for dead. When you see a picture of her, it’s heartbreaking. It brings tears to my eyes knowing what she has been through in her life. I have a picture, her first photograph, with this tiny little skirt. She is emaciated with a big belly. She had a belly full of worms.”

Parental guidance: “You do need parental guidance and I was in a great position with both my mum and dad. They split when I was a baby but even though I stayed with my mom they were both very much involved in my upbringing. It means I can enjoy wide interests. It made me want to travel, scuba dive, collect art, take classes in art and every place I travel I check out the museums. I have enjoyed watching wildlife in Africa and South America, far from Hollywood. My mom also taught me to get everything in perspective. I never got to the point when I was mean and cruel to people.”

He’s a clown for hire: “”I realize that I do not change the course of history. I am an actor, I do a movie, that’s the end of it. You have to realize we are just clowns for hire. After I had success it was great, at first, not to worry about money. It was on my mind when I was growing up. Just being able to buy my grandmother some scarves she wanted and not have to think about it was a sign of good times. It sounds corny but it gave me happiness at the time.”

Leo’s loves: “My first love? Boy, I don’t even remember. I suppose if I’d found my true love I would be married right now, wouldn’t I?”

Leo‘s turnoffs: “Pretentious women really turn me off. Vindictive women, too. So do opportunistic women. I think what turns me on about a girl is what most men find attractive — which is something genuine about them. Being a good person.”

He did Titanic because of Kate Winslet: “Titanic? I would love to say I predicted it would be one of the biggest hits in film history. I didn’t — and wondered whether I should do it at all. I resisted it for a long time because I had been offered the film Boogie Nights (about the 1970s porn industry, a role finally taken by Mark Wahlberg). The fact that Kate Winslet said “yes” was the final decider. She was awesome. We were definitely shoulders for each other to lean on. We had to be partners on the film. All the complaining in the world was done between us two, so we did not have to vent it on anyone else. But I am so glad to be part of that movie. Years from now, people will still be watching that film. I am part of something historical, in a lot of ways. It gave me so many opportunities, as an actor, to steer the course of my own destiny. I was able to take both my mother and grandmother to the world premiere of Titanic in London — one of my proudest moments.”

So even though he’s dating someone – 22-year-old Erin Heatherton – he won’t call her a “true love” and Leo gives the impression that he’s still waiting for lightning to strike. If you were Erin, wouldn’t this be a signal that you’re his “Just For Now” Girl? As for Leo’s turnoffs – pretension, viciousness, opportunism…? And of course, you have to be genuine. A genuine supermodel, that is. Does Leo even believe what he’s shilling?

Remember the glory of BLEO? Sigh… that was probably my favorite hookup of 2011, it really was. Anyway, when Blake Lively and Leonardo DiCaprio were together for some-odd five months, Leo quickly introduced Blake to the most important woman in his life (and perhaps the root of his issues with women), his mommy, Irmelin. Rumor was that Irmelin did not care for Blake whatsoever. Blake was trying too hard to impress her, and Irmelin found Blake pushy and too budget for her darling Leo. A few months passed, and it seemed like Blake threw Leo over for Ryan Reynolds, making it seem like A) Irmelin was totally right and B) Leo finally got played in a major way by some Gossip Girl! So Leo went on his merry way, going through an endless stream of blondes, and shopping for girlfriends in the Victoria’s Secret catalog. And now he’s found his new girl – 22-year-old Erin Heatherton. So what does Irmelin think?

Honestly, I don’t hate the idea of Leo (or any man) being close to their mother. I get that Leo adores his mom, and it’s nice that he respects her opinion. But I tend to think this is creepy. Leo gets older and older, and his girlfriends stay the same age (or younger) and they’re always blonde models (or model-types, in Blake’s case), and Irmelin meets every one of them? At some point, doesn’t Irmelin just say, “You know what, kiddo? I don’t want to meet every model you’re boning. You go have fun and you introduce a girl to me when you’re really serious about her.”

A week ago, the tabloids were reporting that Leonardo DiCaprio would totally take Blake Lively back, but only if she came running back to him, begging for his attention. Well, Blake is in Canada, spending time with Ryan Reynolds’ family, getting conveniently pap’d, leaking stories about cupcakes and basically getting pre-engaged at this point. So Leo has had to bide his time with a series of interchangeable blonde models, which is pretty much his default position. Since Leo has been filming in Australia, there have been reports here and there about Leo taking this or that “mystery blonde” out, but now we have a confirmation of one of the names – Leo is currently dating 22-year-old Erin Heatherton. She’s a Victoria’s Secret model, and I can barely tell her apart from Candice Swanepoel.

Some men would be happy with a new bottle of aftershave or a sweater for the holidays. But Leonardo DiCaprio has bagged himself a brand new blonde bombshell model girlfriend, in the very sexy shape of Erin Heatherton, to keep him company under the mistletoe.

Having dated Gisele Bundchen and Bar Refaeli in the past, it appears that Leo is a bit partial to supermodels — especially Victoria’s Secret ones — but well… who could blame him?

The 37-year-old actor is currently in Sydney shooting Baz Lurhmann’s The Great Gatsby and has apparently grown very close to the 22-year-old blonde beauty.

The loved-up duo was seen walking around the grounds of Vaucluse House last week and have been seen at a martial arts event and out for dinner at the city’s hot spot Barrio Chino.

A few days ago, Leonardo DiCaprio was photographed with yet another “mystery blonde” – you can see the photo here, at TMZ. Leo is still in Sydney, Australia, filming The Great Gatsby, and I suspect this “mystery blonde” is one in a long line of blondes whose names are all a mystery to Leonardo, considering they only get a few hours of his time each night. That’s just a guess – but Leo doesn’t seem like the kind of guy who mopes around after a breakup, chilling on the couch, eating ice cream. Leo likes to go to clubs and check the scene for fresh blondes. And I’m assuming he’s had a steady supply since Blake left him (and probably before she left him too).

Still, at the end of the day, I still find the pairing of Leonardo and Blake much more interesting and compelling than Blake and Ryan Reynolds. My love affair with Bleo is unending, and maybe it’s the hopeless romantic in me (hint: I’m not a hopeless romantic), but I don’t believe we’ve seen the end of Bleo. Fingers crossed that some part of this is true. That Blake keeps tabs on Leo, that Leo might feel like there’s unfinished business with one of the rare girlfriends who walked out on him (or at least made it seem like that publicly). Of course Leo would take her back. If she begged! Would Blake beg? I think she might – but only if she got really dicked over by Ryan, which isn’t as impossible as some of you like to think. I don’t think Ryan is an incredibly nice, open and giving man. But maybe he’s changing for Blake. Because she’s that powerful!

PS… Will Blake do the awards show circuit? You know she’ll be invited to present at some of the shows – probably Critics Choice, maybe the Globes. Will she and Leo be at the same awards show? I’m not even going to ask if she and Ryan will walk the red carpet together – they won’t. But I could see Blake going as a free agent, a smiley, happy fashion girl who doesn’t have a care in the — “OH HI LEO!”

Ever since Cameron Diaz and Alex Rodriguez ended things for good, the tabloids have been desperate for Camy to hook up with someone juicy, like she’s That Girl. Camy isn’t That Girl! She’s not all about the high-profile hookups. She’s not Jennifer Lopez, she’s not Jennifer Aniston. Camy doesn’t do “rollouts” of her relationships for PR – it’s one of the things I like about her. Anyway, a few weeks ago the tabs claimed that Camy was all over Jude Law, a potential union that I was all for – they would make so much sense together! But then the rumors started flying around that Camy and P. Diddy were happening – something which I fear is true, but I hope it isn’t serious. Now the tabloids have some new lovers awaiting Camy… first up, Ryan Phillippe. EW.

Cameron Diaz is wasting no time crying over her split from Alex Rodriguez. The 39-year-old actress has moved on – to hottie Ryan Phillippe! Cameron was spotted getting close to Ryan, 37, at a SiriusXM event in NYC on October 18, and a friend says they got along so well, Cameron thinks he might be The One!

“Cameron and Ryan are getting to know one another,” the firend says. “She wants to settle down, and she likes that he’s a single dad so she’s open to the idea of seeing where things with him go.”

I think I’m becoming a gossip medium. Just yesterday, I was lamenting the boringness of Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds and saying how much I missed good ol’ Bleo (Blake and Leo DiCaprio). They’ve only been going out for a month (allegedly), and already they’re shacking up with their dogs like an old married couple. Where’s the spark? Where’s the magic? Anyway, my gossip medium-ing. Star Magazine has a fascinating report that I’m praying came straight from Blake’s publicist. Blake has a great publicist, and if this report was in Us Weekly, I would love it more, but I’m so happy for any Bleo news, I’ll take this: Blake and Leo are still talking. And Blake would still be Leo’s girl if he wanted her. YAY!

Indeed, the pretty pair moved on quickly after their four-month summer fling went kaput at the beginning of October – Blake, 24, took up with hunky Ryan, 35, while Leo, 37, has been romancing three sexy models while filming The Great Gatsby Down Under.

But according to the insider, “They talk on the phone and e-mail regularly.” and despite her burgeoning romance with Ryan, “Blake is still carrying a torch for Leo,” says the source. “She’d drop Ryan in a heartbeat if and when Leo said, ‘Let’s get back together.’ Ryan’s bound to get his heart broken!”

See, I suspect that this isn’t a plant by Blake’s publicist because it makes Blake look like she might still be hung up on Leo, which isn’t the image Blake wants to project right now. But then again, how did she get Leo to begin with? By hanging out, by waiting, by biding her time, by playing the game really well and letting him see that she was available for whatever he wanted. Last night was the premiere of J. Edgar at the AFI Film Fest. All of the stars came out for the film except for Dame Judi Dench, who was in London doing press for the new James Bond film. Several of Clint Eastwood’s former stars and friends came out to celebrate his new film too – including Hilary Swank. This is Hilary’s first public outing since she got publicly slammed for attending the birthday party of a Chechen dictator, and accepting $1.5 million for the pleasure. Days after the scandal went international, Hilary canceled a charity appearance, claiming she was sick, but I guess she feels well enough to hang out with Clint Eastwood, right? There were reports earlier this week that Hilary fired her manager over the Chechnya incident, and now Entertainment Weekly reports that Hilary’s PR firm fired HER.

Hilary Swank’s bad month just got even worse. In the wake of the storm of bad press surrounding her paid appearance at a birthday event for Chechen president, and alleged human rights violator, Ramzan Kadyrov, the two-time Oscar winner has been dumped by her PR team at 42West, a source familiar with the situation confirms exclusively to EW.

The publicity firm parted ways with Swank over a disagreement on how best to deal with the fallout from the Oct. 5 event, which was also attended by Jean-Claude Van Damme, Seal, and English violinist Vanessa-Mae.

Earlier this week, it was widely reported that Swank fired her manager of eight years, Jason Weinberg, and two of his associates at CAA, though not her lawyer, Jeff Bernstein, who reportedly played a significant role in the Chechnya visit. Three weeks ago, Swank apologized for attending and promised to donate her fee to charity, but appeared to stop short of taking personal responsibility. “If I had a full understanding of what this event was apparently intended to be,” she said, “I would never have gone.”

Calls to 42West have not been returned, and Swank’s lawyer has not responded to a request for comment.

Sucks for Hilary. I guess she’s doing her own PR now, thus this red carpet appearance for Clint Eastwood. She’s probably hoping that Clint will act as a human shield to protect her from the fallout. I can’t believe she’s using an old dude like that.

Two days ago, the world stopped turning when super-fancy dream couple from heaven Blake Lively and Leonardo DiCaprio stopped being each other’s official pieces. Personally, I was surprised. I thought for sure that Blake would be able to make the relationship work for months longer, at least through the awards season. My immediate reaction was to assume that Leo did the dumping, just because… he’s Leo. He’s like George Clooney in that way. Men like Clooney and DiCaprio date specific kinds of women, and when Clooney and DiCaprio are done with those relationships, they’re done, and they do the dumping. It never occurred to me that Blake was the one who broke up with Leo. But this new, hilarious report from Us Weekly claims that it was Leo who wanted a commitment from Blake, and she was all, “I’m all about fun, you’re such a buzzkill.” Only better:

Still, even though I think Leo probably did the dumping, I don’t think Blake is weeping into her pillow. She’s got some plan of action, I’m sure. The girl’s hustle is one of the best in Young Hollywood. What’s her next move? Ryan Reynolds? Back to the Gosdong? Or perhaps some kind of play to win Leo back?

PS… just one day after Blake and Leo announce that they’ve called it quits, Blake’s ex, Penn Badgley, makes his public debut with Zoe Kravitz. There’s a photo of Zoe and Penn holding hands here. Do you think the Fassbender is weeping tonight? Doubtful. But I’m pretty sure this candid photo-op was meant as a “screw you” to Blake.

Stunning news! Well, it surprised me, in any case. Us Weekly is reporting that Leo DiCaprio and Blake Lively are done. Blake has been working in LA and NYC for a few months, while Leo has been in Australia, filming The Great Gatsby. Is it a distance thing? A work schedule thing? Or is it something else? LaineyGossip just reported yesterday that Blake was spotted having dinner with Ryan Reynolds, who she allegedly might have gotten close to when they filmed The Green Lantern. But Us Weekly just makes it sound like it was the distance thing:

Well, he’s 36. Now is the time for Leo to decide if he’s going to go for the George Clooney route (never settling down), the Warren Beatty route (settling down when he’s really old), or the Brad Pitt route (?) – which I’m making up, but… let’s say the Brad Pitt route is settling down with someone more than a decade younger and starting a family right away. You never know about Leo – he could be the kind of dude who would end up being a pretty decent husband. And I personally think that Blake would love to marry him. Engaged by the Oscars?!?
