The latest interview with Lindsay Lohan in Marie Claire magazine is light years away from her previous interviews in which she defended her partying behavior and blamed others for her problems. As much as it pains me to give her credit, Lohan sounds much more grounded, crediting herself as well as girlfriend Samantha Ronson for re-organizing her priorities and staying out of trouble. She looks to actor Robert Downey Jr. for inspiration.

Outside the trailer, a bulldog slurps from a water dish. His name is Cadillac, and he belongs to Samantha Ronson, the proto-scenester and DJ with whom Lohan is enmeshed, although she refuses to confirm no-brainer rumors that they are lovers. Lohan’s anecdotes are studded with references to Ronson; noting a star tattoo on her hand, she says, “Samantha has a bunch of stars, so I got that. And she got this” – indicating a little heart. When she tells me, with a giggle, that she’s looking to buy a house “with someone,” it just seems obvious who that someone is. But when I ask Lohan specifically about the relationship, she says, “Um, people can think what they want. I’m really happy, and that’s all that matters.” As for the newspaper item claiming she yelled at Ashley Olsen to “get your 15-year-old Full House ass away from my girlfriend” when she saw Olsen talking to Ronson at a club last April, Lohan retorts, “No! No. I never said anything like that. I would never talk like that. I mean, get me angry enough and I’m sure I’ll have something to say, but I didn’t say that.”

With three stints in rehab behind her (and the threat of jail, if she violates her probation), Lohan has had a relatively peaceful time of it in recent months, leading me to suggest that Ronson’s a good influence. “She’s a great person,” Lohan says. “And she’s a great influence on people around her. But I think that anything that’s changed in my life is because of me. I’ve gone through it and I’ve had to deal with it and I’ve made the decision to move forward. So yeah, she’s a great person,” Lohan concludes of Ronson, who’ll come loping across the parking lot to the trailer later on wearing her signature porkpie hat, plus a T-shirt, jeans, and cinder-block-size red trainers, emphatically unlaced.

Despite the apparently acute ADD, Lohan seems keenly aware of the fact that she’s starting a new chapter – that she knows how much she stands to lose and that life has given her another chance. After a rebuke from a producer of her 2007 movie Georgia Rule for partying too much, after concern that she might be deemed uninsurable by Hollywood, she’s methodically rebuilding her career, giving her all to a first-time film director, Lara Shapiro, for the low-budget Labor Pains, working on a danceable, R&B-type follow-up to her second album, A Little More Personal (Raw), and submitting to the family-friendly small screen, in a guest spot on Ugly Betty. It’s a page out of the career-rehab playbook of Robert Downey Jr., whose return from the dark side started with a recurring role on Ally McBeal.

“He’s an amazing actor,” Lohan says of Downey. “Look at people like that who have gone through shit and had to work that much harder to get to where they are now.” Lying on the bed in her trailer now, atop a pink comforter, looking at me through narrowed go-go girl eyes beneath a thick canopy of fake lashes, Lohan says, “I’ve learned. I’ll never go back. And it’s not a never-say-never type thing – it’s just, I know. I know.”

Lohan also acknowledges – finally – that her previous lifestyle of partying at hotels like the Chateau Marmont and getting caught up in the Hollywood trends was destroying her on every level, and that her family situation played a big factor.

Whereas Lohan used to live in hotels – “I didn’t want to be alone, so whatever I needed I could just go downstairs and there were people there” – she now recognizes the unhealthiness of that. “It wasn’t a way of life,” she says. “Not very consistent.” Whereas she once owned a pair of puppies, like every other high-gloss attention-seeker in Hollywood, she now admits she “got them on a whim – I wasn’t in the right headspace” to take care of them (so she gave them to her mother). Whereas the petulant, postadolescent, hungover Lohan could single-handedly roil a movie set with a grimace, she now accepts the responsibility that comes with being a star of her wattage. “It’s a lot of pressure, because everyone’s depending on you,” Lohan says. “And your mood, when you go on set, everybody feels it. On a day when you’re tired, it’s important to just say good morning to everyone so they’re kind of aware that it’s gonna be a good day. Jamie Lee Curtis” – her Freaky Friday costar – “told me that.”

Problem is, when you’re Lindsay Lohan, the drama tends to roll in by the hour. “There was this one day when something happened with my dad, and my best friend’s grandmother passed away, and I was upset, and everyone [on set] kind of changed, and I felt it,” she says. Later, back in her trailer, she pulled herself together. “But it’s hard, because then, when do you feel?”

The thing that happened with her dad, Michael Lohan, the former felon who careens in and out of Lindsay’s life, leaving a trail of tabloid sludge – that would be the revelation that he might have another daughter, now 13, the result of a fling with a Montana massage therapist. “I don’t know what’s going on with it,” Lohan says, wearily. “I haven’t asked him any questions. Apparently we’ve been in the dark for so many years. We’ve gone through enough with him. Enough is enough.” As a result, she’s shutting down communication with Dad for a bit – “until he decides to be a grown-up.”

I can’t say I’m a fan, but I will give Lindsay props for finally copping to her previous mistakes instead of continuing to defend her reckless, selfish behavior. She sounds a lot more mature than her dad at this point- and that can only be described as progress. And it certainly sounds like she and Ronson are getting serious- probably the first serious, healthy relationship Lindsay’s had in her entire life, including her parents. I’m even going to reserve judgment on Labor Pains, although the trailer for the movie looks like a dud.

Even though she’s more famous for showing her boobs than any of the so-called “work” she’s ever done, actress Lindsay Lohan says she won’t be baring her breasts for Playboy. The gentlemen’s mag offered her $700,000 to take it all off for their 55th Anniversary issue, but apparently Lohan has suddenly found dignity and can’t bring herself to shed some skin for the masses.

IT’S once nude, twice shy for Lindsay Lohan. The Sapphic-leaning star has turned down a $700,000 offer to do an eight-page topless spread in Playboy’s 55th-anniversary issue this January. “If there’s nudity, then the answer’s no . . . She’s not going down the [New York] magazine road again,” Lohan’s rep told Playboy’s creative consultant, Hal Lifson, referring to Lindsay’s naked Marilyn Monroe tribute last winter. Lifson said he hoped to have Lohan do a tribute to ’60s sex kitten Ann-Margret and her film “Kitten With a Whip,” which is one of Lohan’s faves.

Lohan really isn’t in any position to be turning down any work according to most insiders. For the last few years she’s been consistently reported to be pretty cash strapped. $700,000 is a lot of purses. Not only has she posed naked in the very recent past for New York Magazine, but she dresses in a manner to ensure that she’s constantly giving nipple slips to any guy who will so much as pass her the butter. Normally I wouldn’t be encouraging someone who doesn’t want to go topless to bare the goods, but in her case what’s the harm? It’s nothing we haven’t seen (in excess) before.

The first trailer is out for Lindsay Lohan’s upcoming comedy Labor Pains, which is currently in post production and is due for release next year. Lohan plays a disgruntled employee who cooks up a scheme to keep her job by claiming to be pregnant. She’s not pregnant, has to fake it, and hilarity hopefully ensues. The trailer makes it look like a decent comedy. I didn’t laugh or anything, but I also didn’t feel insulted or like I wasted a couple minutes of my time.

Lohan has been blogging a lot on her MySpace. Yesterday she said that Sarah Palin’s pregnant daughter took the focus away from her record and positions on the issues. She also recently blogged that she was looking for a specific type of ice cream for her girlfriend, Samantha, and while she didn’t quite call her that she did end the post with “this song [Trouble by Ray LaMontagne] is for sr, ILY” which pretty much means “I love you, Samantha Ronson.” That’s kind of sweet. Damn you, Lindsay Lohan, for making me start to like you again. You’re definitely poised for a comeback. Just continue to avoid all the drama your family tries to drag you down into.

You know that good old sex math they used to teach you in the nineties about how every time you sleep with someone you’re sleeping with everyone they’ve ever slept with, and everyone all those people have ever slept with and on and on? That kind of wandering math can really lead your mind down some creepy paths, like, “So did I really just sleep with my second grade teacher?” Or worse. Yeah, gross right. Now imagine you’ve just slept with Lindsay Lohan. I cannot even fathom how long that calculation could extend. Because not only is Lindsay pretty damn skanky herself, but it’s not like she’s hooking up with bunch of really reputable people either.

And here’s where the STD math gets really grotesque. One of Lohan’s more recent exes, British playboy Calum Best, says he’s slept with so many bazillion women that he can’t even accurately round it to the nearest hundred.

Calum Best admits he’s lived a life of debauchery for quite some time. The playboy’s notched up so many one-night stands, he doesn’t even know to the nearest 100 how many girls he’s slept with. ‘I certainly have mad crazy commitment issues,’ he says.

Calum, 27, has been linked to a string of A – Z list celebrities, including Lindsay Lohan, Girls Aloud’s Sarah Harding, Abi Titmuss, Jodie Marsh and Rebecca Loos. But not one of them has won the reality TV star’s heart.

‘I’ve never told anyone I love them. Because I never do,’ Calum tells Observer Woman. ‘I’ll be into someone and then, two weeks down the line I’ll be looking at her mate thinking: you’re hot! Looking over her shoulder thinking: I like you!’

I haven’t heard of this show until just now, but something tells me it’s going to be one hell of a massive failed experiement.

So let’s say that once that math extends outwards five times, Calum Best slept with (or scary math slept with) 10,000 people. (By the way I’m not claiming that number is anywhere even close to right, but let’s stick to easy round amounts for the sake of scaring ourselves shitless). Then he hooked up with Lindsay Lohan, who had scary math slept with 3,000. When you do all the math, doesn’t that mean it’s almost statistically impossible for the two of them not to be harboring at least nine previously unknown STDs?

If nothing else they were probably a good match for each other. I’m just afraid two people with that kind of history could result in new drug-resistant forms of STDs. Like MRSA, but for your crotch.

It looks like trouble with the law runs on both sides of Lindsay Lohan’s family. Her uncle Paul, 50, Dina’s brother, was just sentenced to a year in jail. Paul Sullivan was convicted of defrauding the government by getting a small business loan under the guise of fake losses suffered by his business after the 9/11 tragedy. His company provided cars for the United Nations to use overseas. He was ordered to pay back the loan to the tune of $646,000 and sentenced to a year and a day in jail.

An uncle of actress Lindsay Lohan was sentenced yesterday to a year and a day in federal prison and ordered to repay a $646,000 government agency loan after he falsely claimed his company lost business as a result of the World Trade Center’s destruction.

In addition to fraud, Paul Sullivan, 50, of Old Bethpage was also accused of obstruction of justice.

U.S. District Judge Joanna Seybert at the federal court in Central Islip sentenced Sullivan to less than the minimum 27 months suggested by federal sentencing guidelines, saying she was trying to arrive at a balance.

Seybert said she had weighed “the highly egregious nature” of Sullivan’s taking advantage of 9/11 tragedy against the pain the arrest already had caused Sullivan, his wife, three children and mother, and the fact that many cases of Small Business Administration frauds are settled civilly.

Sullivan’s lawyer, Joseph Conway of Garden City, argued before sentencing that while his client was a college graduate, he had a difficult time finding work after his arrest in 2005 and had been receiving public assistance, occasionally being employed as a security guard.

Conway said the SBA loan was not used to support “a lavish lifestyle” or to buy drugs, but unsuccessfully to try to keep Sullivan’s business afloat.

Sullivan’s former Hauppauge company, the Ropa Group, supplied vehicles to the United Nations for overseas operations.

“Since my arrest it has been extremely stressful both personally and financially,” Sullivan said. “The sadness and despair in my mother’s eyes is worse than any jail cell you may put me in.”

Her mother also has a creative view of the truth, and has been caught fabricating her biography, including claiming to be a Rockette and to have acted in theater and on commercials – none of which can be verified.

Newsday reminds us that Lindsay’s dad Michael was convicted of assaulting his brother in law Paul – the one who is just about to get a taste of jail, his other brother in law, Matthew, and his ex wife Dina. Michael Lohan served nearly three years out of four year sentence for those charges along with DUI and was let out last Spring. It looks like Lindsay comes from a long line of liars and brawlers.

Lindsay Lohan’s ex con dad is talking to whichever media outlets will listen about how he disapproves of his daughter’s girlfriend, DJ Samantha Ronson. Lohan has cleaned up physically and emotionally under Ronson’s influence, but Micheal Lohan insists that she’s a “parasite,” calls her “controlling and manipulative” and says she’s like “a drug” that his daughter is addicted to. In fact, Micheal, who is currently engaged to a model just two years older than his daughter, says he’s so convinced of Ronson’s negative effect on his daughter’s life that he would “sacrifice [his] own life to get Sam out of Lindsay’s.”

Some of Micheal Lohan’s statements are contradictory. On one hand he says Sam is giving Lindsay booze while they’re together at Sam’s DJing gigs, but then he says it’s not about the alcohol but the antidepressants his daughter is on:

ML: She’s feeding Lindsay alcohol behind the scenes, but that’s really Lindsay’s fault for taking it — it’s not about drugs or alcohol. A person can be a drug and Sam is a drug. She’s very controlling and manipulative and it’s not a healthy relationship for Lindsay…

X17: What do you say about accusations from the media that you’re attacking Sam simply don’t like what has been portrayed as Lindsay’s gay relationship with her?

ML: That’s not the reason at all. Lindsay is fragile and Sam takes advantage of her and the relationship is too intense and too dramatic. Sam and Dina are probably the two worst people Lindsay could be around right now … along with her friend Patrick.

I mean, look at Sam … does she have an identity crisis or what? I mean, the way she carries herself, the way she dresses; she’s a slob.

As long as Sam’s in Lindsay’s life, Lindsay will never be able to reach the potential God gave her.

X17: The media have commented that Lindsay looks better; she looks healthy; she doesn’t appear to be drinking or doing drugs; she showed up to work on time for “Labor Pains.” By all accounts, she seems to be doing well. What are her problems or issues right now?

ML: It’s not about Sam giving Lindsay drugs or alcohol or anything — there are prescription drugs from doctors — psychotropic drugs, antidepressants — that have a serious effect on a person. And I would like to put that out there. These things can mess with a person’s mind.

I see some parallels between Britney and Lindsay — the instability, the domineering companion. Lindsay’s not in the state that Britney was or is, but there are minor similarities. Just because a person’s not abusing drugs or alcohol doesn’t mean they’re healthy. And Lindsay being with Sam is making matters worse.

I would sacrifice my own life to get Sam out of Lindsay’s.

You can see how Lindsay got so messed up in the first place coming from that family. Lindsay is in the healthiest relationship of her life and is the most together she’s ever been, but her father is unwilling to acknowledge it and keeps saying how awful Sam is. He even compares his daughter to Britney! He’s also blaming the medication that seems to be helping her. It seems like Michael objects to the fact that his daughter is in a same sex relationship, not that she’s with someone who is supposedly a bad influence. Lindsay was with a lot of male douches before she met Sam, and you didn’t hear her dad complaining about them.

Samantha Ronson is writing an autobiography, and Michael Lohan is accusing her of using her relationship with his daughter to become famous. There’s also speculation that goes along with any book written by someone close to a celebrity – that it will be a “tell all.” Meanwhile Michael is still fighting with Lindsay’s mom Dina over visitation issues and vows to drag her into court again.

Lindsay says her dad is out of control and just needs to stop hurting the people she loves:

“He’s out of control,” she told Access from the set of “Ugly Betty,” where she’s filming several guest appearances for the ABC show’s third season.

“I want him to stop hurting and talking to the media about the people I love,” she said.

In an interview with E! on Tuesday, Michael said Samantha was “using” his daughter after hearing rumors that the DJ might be writing a tell-all book.

“I’ve shut up about this long enough,” Michael told E! “She’s using my daughter. People never even knew who Samantha Ronson was until she met Lindsay. She was just some L.A. DJ. And now she’s writing a book? I am at wit’s end with this stuff. This is not in Lindsay’s best interest.”

Lindsay and her mom went out to dinner with Samantha and her mom a few nights ago. Micheal Lohan is bitching about that and saying his wife and daughter missed a family meeting with him and decided to go out to that dinner instead. You can see how they would avoid him when he’s so caustic and obnoxious. Maybe all his public bad mouthing is the reason they refused to meet with him.

Update: Samantha Ronson has responded to Michael Lohan’s accusations through her myspace. She says that she’s not writing a tell all and that he’s “desperate for attention”:

i really don’t want to say anything because i feel like he wins- he, being the man who is so desperate for attention that he goes to the media whenever possible- i know i am being used, i am just a pawn- easy to sacrifice in order to feed his addiction. I was angry when i first read his attack on me, but- for me- i believe that actions speak louder than words… so now i just pity him- i am not standing in his way- i am not the reason that he has no contact with his daughter- he is- his need to throw a tantrum for the whole world to hear is- i am not going to go into a play by play defense- i feel no need to publicly defend my role in lindsay’s life- i’m just sorry that she likes me more than him.

p.s. i’m not the one that is so lost that i need to use my relationship with lindsay to earn a living…. i am, always will and always have been here for her for her- not for anything else….so I think it’s safe to say that there is not now and never will be a tell all….. written by me….. when does your book come out mr. lohan?

It must suck to date Lindsay Lohan. Aside from the obvious reasons, which we won’t even get in to. No one likes to think about their current partner’s past. In fact we all know it’s polite behavior to generally assume they never loved, liked, or kissed anyone until you came along. Then all of a sudden it was like a rush of hormones and they discovered all these previously unknown emotions.

But that’s pretty damn hard when three quarters of Hollywood knows exactly how many freckles your lady love has on her lady bits. Thus the dilemma of being Samantha Ronson. While dating Lohan has some obvious advantages – including increased career exposure for the deejay – as someone who does the music at the very best parties, the odds of running into some guy that Lindsay use to… well… [insert various filthy act here ______]… are pretty damn high. And several previous lovers all came together to make Ronson and Lohan feel damn uncomfortable at a party recently.

Talk about awkward: Lindsay Lohan was celebrating the grand opening of West Hollywood club Apple Lounge with Samantha Ronson on August 14 when she ran into two ex-boyfriends – and an ex-girlfriend! “Lindsay chatted with her ex Harry Morton for a few minutes,” a witness explains about the first encounter. “Sam wasn’t thrilled.” Lindsay, 22, was there to support her live-in galpal, who was deejaying the event. But before the night was over, another of Lindsay’s exes, Calum Best, showed up, followed by former girlfriend Courtenay Semel. Although Lindsay’s rep says, “It wasn’t awkward for her to be with all of her exes,” a witness says, “That was definitely enough drama for Lindsay. She made sure the rest of the night was very mellow, drinking little as she smoked and stuck by Sam’s side.” “Lindsay reassured Sam,” a witness says, “by gently rubbing her lower back whenever they were alone.” Courtenay Semel dated Lindsay in late 2007, says an insider. Lindsay dated Calum Best for three months in 2007. Harry Morton romanced Lindsay in 2006.

I love how In Touch is polite enough to say “romanced.” As though anyone, guy or girl, has ever bothered to slip even the slightest notion of romance into a relationship with Lindsay. What is going on with Lindsay Lohan lately? I realize that’s one hell of a Pandora’s box to open. But the woman just makes no sense. At first she seemed to enjoy the positive attention and good publicity she was getting for her relationship with Samantha Ronson. But that must have gotten old, because then she started acting old school Lindsay and being all tacky and rude. Then there were rumors that she and Samantha were breaking up. Now it seems like even Lindsay Lohan, the queen of all photographer’s subjects, is tired of the spotlight.

It was supposed to be a double celebration for twins Samantha and Charlotte Ronson Tuesday night, but suddenly camera-shy Sam bailed on their 31st birthday bash at the Bowery Hotel. The deejay and her girlfriend, Lindsay Lohan, “fled the scene” when paparazzi swarmed the joint. “Charlotte and Sam do this party every year with [power publicist] Amanda Silverman,” said our source. “The photographers must have caught on because they were outside the hotel. Sam and Lindsay were livid and just left to go do their own thing.”

I find that really strange. For one thing, Lohan and Ronson have been photographed nonstop for the past several months, but especially this last month. When I look through the photo agency’s pages I’m genuinely surprised there’s no “Here’s Lindsay Lohan on the can,” or something. Why is it all of a sudden a problem? Especially at a birthday party for her girlfriend – when it’s obvious she should expect paparazzi there. It seems incredibly rude to just skip out like that – not that manners ever stopped a Lohan from doing with they wanted.

Lindsay Lohan really does have the power to horrify people the world over. Mothers, specifically. Though Lohan appears to be more into the ladies than the men (at least lately) that didn’t prevent her from terrifying poor Michael Phelps’ mother with the mere thought of Lohan liking her son.

Debbie Phelps was being interview by Billy Bush for Access Hollywood. For some reason Billy was texting with Lindsay Lohan (because who among us doesn’t do that at some point in the day?) and he asked if she had anything to say about Michael Phelps. And that’s when dear Mrs. Phelps real feelings got dragged into it.

When it comes to Michael Phelps, Lindsay Lohan is apparently willing to postpone this whole lesbian thing. While interviewing Michael’s mom Debbie on Monday, Hobbit-like Access Hollywood correspondent Billy Bush received a text message from Lohan, which he proceeded to show Debbie while on the air. Mom’s reaction was pretty great.

Lohan’s message: “Tell him he’s f&#%ing amazing, and I want to meet him.”

It made them all stronger — which came in handy when Billy showed Mama a text to her son from actress Lindsay Lohan. Billy handed his Blackberry to Mama for her to read Lindsay’s message to Michael, and her reaction was priceless.

“Pardon the language but…” Billy said as he showed her the text. Mama Phelps’ usually jubilant face turned horrified. “OK, Lindsay!!! — Delete! Delete! Delete!” Lindsay’s crime? Telling her son he’s, ‘bleepin’ amazing’!

You can’t blame a mother for being rather terrified at the thought of Lindsay Lohan even knowing who her son is. Barbara Bush would probably panic to find out Lindsay knows who her son is. Though I’m guessing the odds are good Lindsay doesn’t.

Lindsay Lohan was living with socialite Courtenay Semel in LA late last year. There were rumblings that the two were more than just friends, but Lindsay was also dating guys at the time and she wasn’t seen out much with Courtenay.

Courtenay was said to be jealous of any other women that talked to Lindsay and moved out of the Hollywood home they shared in late January.

Semel is the daughter of Yahoo! CEO Terry Semel, and is now openly dating idiotic reality star Tila Tequila.

Apparently she’s not over Lindsay, though, because she’s resorted to talking to the UK paper that gives ex lovers of celebrities a chance to sensationalize their past – The News of The World. Courtenay told the rag that she’s perplexed that Lindsay so quickly moved on to Samantha. She’s also upset that Lindsay refused to acknowledge their relationship, but is openly dating Samantha now:

Everyone thinks Samantha is Lindsay’s first lesbian love, but we were very passionate until her fear of being found out drove us apart,” Courtenay told a pal.

“At the time she was terrified her career would be over if she revealed her sexual tendencies.

“But then Samantha came on to the scene and I was dropped.”

Courtenay, 25, also told how 22-year-old Lindsay, whose films include Herbie, Fully Loaded and Mean Girls:

BEDDED a string of men in a bid to suppress her lesbian urges — and to hide them from her public.

SANK into addictions as the pressure of her double life grew.

SLIPPED into a bizarre love triangle with both women.

Courtenay’s pal explained: “She met Lindsay in the summer of 2006 at a party in Malibu.

“From the start Lindsay was very confused about her feelings for Courtenay so did more and more drugs to stifle the sexual attraction she was experiencing.

“But eventually she just gave in and at every party they’d kiss and touch each other in the corner. It’s a miracle nobody found out.

“Both of them would do lines of cocaine in the toilets then head home and fall into bed together.”

Throughout the following year, the pair stumbled through an on- off relationship as troubled Lindsay checked into a succession of rehab units and continued to date men as a ‘cover’. But it was as early as January 2007 that she first met 31-year-old Samantha, sister of pop guru Mark Ronson.

This makes it seem as if a lot of Lindsay’s addiction and sexual problems came about as she tried to cope with her feelings toward women. Of course it doesn’t excuse her very obnoxious and harmful behavior, and she’s probably still a self-entitled brat, but at least she’s relatively sober and well-behaved compared to her wild past.

Courtenay eventually left Lindsay when she kept sleeping with men and didn’t seem able to take the relationship seriously. She says that Lindsay and Samanth were just friends for a while and that Samantha often gave her advice. The article concludes by making Courtenay seem like a crazy jealous person who is unable to move on:

By October, Courtenay appeared to have the upper hand. [over Samantha] She and Lindsay moved into a rented house in Beverly Hills. “But still Lindsay brought men back,” the pal added. “Courtenay would throw fits of rage, writing her hundreds of angry e-mails from another room in the house.

“The sexual attraction between them was electric though and they’d still kiss and make up.”

That ended last December when Lindsay bedded one man too many and, unable to take more humiliation, Courtenay moved out.

It was less than a week later that Samantha was back on the scene. Outwardly, at least, Lindsay became a changed person, even turning blonde.

The pal added: “Courtenay still can’t understand how Lindsay is now so open with Samantha.

“Every time she sees a picture of them together it kills her.

Maybe Lohan just never openly dated Semel because their relationship wasn’t stable. It’s no wonder she refused to make it known that they were together when Semel was acting like that – she must have doubted it would last.

Star Magazine reports this week that Courtenay ran into Lindsay and Samantha at a lounge at bar in LA and that she “was staring daggers [at Lindsay and Sam] all night.” It looks like Tila Tequila is more this woman’s speed and that Lindsay made a wise choice by picking Sam.
