Lindsay Lohan has long been rumored to have money problems. She’s also long been rumored to be having relationship problems. And she’s long been rumored to be gay. Turns out a lot of rumors are true. Lindsay’s having trouble in her relationship with Samantha Ronson because of her massive overspending. SamRo is reasonably conservative and thrifty with her money. Though a lot of people argue whether she deserves her high reputation in terms of DJ talent, she is also well regarded for her hard work ethic and pulls in about $300,000 a month.

That seems paltry compared to what Lindsay earns in her films… but Samantha keeps most of her money, and Lindsay doesn’t. And it’s causing a lot of stress in their relationship.

After snagging a pair of $1,240 Yves Saint Laurent platform boots from Barneys New York in Beverly Hills, Lindsay Lohan arrived at girlfriend Samantha Ronson’s Hollywood home and threw away the bag and receipt. Why?

“Lindsay doesn’t want Samantha to see evidence of her frivolous spending,” a pal of the couple tells OK!. “Samantha is pretty conservative with her money, so the fact that Lindsay never seems to look at prices stresses her out. Worse, Lindsay has resorted to hiding her spending from Samantha – not a good thing.”

On the other hand, DJ Samantha earns at least $300,000 a month from her skills on the turntables. “She is super responsible and takes her work very seriously,” says her pal. “She is never late for a gig and is fastidious about her bookkeeping.”

For her part, Lindsay’s rep tells OK!, “Lindsay works and makes her own money — she is allowed to shop.” But Samantha’s friend tells a different story.

“Samantha loves Lindsay very much, but in recent months, Samantha has been very stressed about the responsibility she feels she has for Lindsay,” the pal explains to OK!. “Lindsay really needs to be honest with Samantha if she wants their relationship to stay on track.”

TMZ pointed out that Lindsay seemed oddly embarrassed to be caught shopping at Fred Segal. Especially considering all the stuff that she does that she should be embarrassed by. Hiding spending from your significant other is guaranteed to lead to trouble. Even if you do keep separate accounts, it’s a bad sign. Lindsay obviously has the right to do whatever she wants with her money – but if she’s hiding it from Samantha, it makes it seem like she’s doing something wrong, at least by the rules of their relationship.

Stuff like that will always come back to bite you in the ass. It’s not that surprising that Lindsay’s way of dealing with it is to just hide the evidence. After all she’s 22 – at that age you don’t totally understand the ramifications of your actions and how to behave in an adult relationship. That’s one of those things most people mess up a few times. It would definitely behoove Lindsay to get her spending under control, or at least be upfront about it.

If Lindsay Lohan were an average girl instead of a notorious paparazzi and gossip courter, I’d speculate that all the discussion about her sexual orientation must really be grating on her nerves. But alas, since she is Lindsay Lohan and thus attention is her oxygen, I’m guessing she gets off on it. A lot. Now Lindsay’s ex-boyfriend “British bad boy” Calum Best (I never hear him described as anything other than a “British bad boy”) says that he probably turned Lindsay gay.

Regardless of your particular opinions on the nature of sexual orientation, I believe that if any man could turn a woman gay, it’s Calum Best. Second to that would be Wilmer Valderrama. In fact I’m pretty sure that both those guys turn you into the opposite of whatever you are. It’s the result of a natural (yet extreme) aversion to men like them. If you were a human, you become a cricket. If you were a man, you become a woman. If you used to be opaque, you are now translucent. These are not exactly radical theories here.

Thus I find it absolutely possible – and highly likely – that if anyone did “turn” Lindsay gay, it’d be Calum Best.

Calum Best has confessed he turned Lindsay Lohan into a lesbian.

He said: “I think I turned her.”

The ladies’ man, who clearly picked up his skills from legendary lothario dad George Best, dated Li-Lo for a short time in May 2007 when the pair were pictured getting up close and personal on a beach in the Bahamas, but they soon went their separate ways.

Speaking at the BT Digital Music Awards, Calum revealed he has no hard feelings towards Lohan and wishes her and DJ lover Sam Ronson well. He also commented on the press attention she attracts and said although she courts press attention sometimes, he pities her for the intrusion.

“I think good on her. I think she’s really cool, I got nothing bad to say about her and hope for the best for her,” he said. “Those poor girls like Britney and that lot, they’re so stuck in the public eye. Those girls have got people following them around from eight in the morning till eight at night… Sometimes they milk it and sometimes they like it, but overall the girl can’t do something without anybody talking about it… So, if she likes girls, she likes girls. I’m happy for her.”

Well you can’t tell just from that quotation, but the guy’s a total douche bag. I love how he talks about how hard things are for Britney in terms of paparazzi, but says it in this way implying that Lindsay doesn’t go through that. Clearly the guy’s either naive or stupid – could he really think the paps leave Britney alone come about 8:02 in the evening? After that she promptly goes home where she drinks a tall glass of warm milk and falls asleep snuggled in the arms of a Saint Bernard.

Actually considering the bizarre stories you hear about celebs, that wouldn’t be the most impossible thing ever. A year ago if you’d told me someone could turn Lindsay Lohan gay, I would have told you THAT was the most impossible thing ever. Now I doubt everything else.

The rumors that Lindsay Lohan wants to adopt a child are getting stronger and stronger – especially because Lohan’s just added fuel to the fire. She says she wants to adopt a baby or a child from another country.

Could Lindsay Lohan be ready for motherhood?

The 22-year-old star told Marie Claire, “At some point … I want to adopt a kid … A child in need or a newborn from another country. I’m not sure yet.”

Though Lohan has had her fair share of family drama, she believes her own experience would make her that much more qualified as a mom.

Lohan also finally confirmed her relationship with DJ Samantha Ronson, ending months of speculation and gossip. She even goes so far as to say she has never been happier.

But don’t expect her to whip out the baby carriage just yet. Lohan’s busy filming the upcoming indie flick aptly titled “Labor Pains.”

You’d think there’s no way this can actually happen, right? Someone’s going to stop her. Well the problem is that the people who normally do exactly that in adoption proceedings can be worked around when you’ve got money and fame. Though Lohan’s financial status is always debatable. Lindsay seems so emotionally immature that I forget she’s even a legal adult. I keep thinking, “Her mom will say no.” Then I remember that her mom can’t stop her… and considering what we know of Dina Lohan, she’d never considering – look at all that free publicity.

While I did start to freak out a bit, I calmed down and realized Lohan’s going to get a lot of questions about future baby plans as she’s doing press for her new movie. So I’m just going to pray this is all part of her little PR script and she will remain the self-centered, ego maniacal, and completely child-free Lohan we all know and… well whatever we feel for her.

A New York Supreme Court Justice has halted intentions of Weinstein Co. production Project Runway from moving to the Lifetime Channel.  In a breach of contract lawsuit filed by NBC Universal, the parent company of Bravo, against the Weinstein Co. a preliminary injunction was ordered against a $150 million deal with Lifetime to move the wildly popular reality-competition series from NBC-run Bravo where it’s aired for five seasons.

NBC Universal had aired the series on its Bravo channel. It sued Weinstein after the production company made a reported $150 million deal with Lifetime for the show.

The temporary injunction bars Weinstein from taking “Project Runway” or any spinoff to Lifetime and contended that evidence showed that Weinstein violated NBC’s “right of first refusal” for the show.

Lifetime was very disappointed by the ruling but vowed to “pursue all measures” to uphold the agreement made with Weinstein Co. to bring Emmy award nominee for Outstanding Reality or Reality Competition Host, Heidi Klum and fan favorite Tim Gunn to their network.  The sixth season of Project Runway was scheduled to premier in January on Lifetime with guest judge Lindsay Lohan.

In a statement, Lifetime said: “We are disappointed with the court’s decision to grant the preliminary injunction against the Weinstein Co. It’s unfortunate that the people hurt most by this ongoing dispute are the loyal fans of ‘Project Runway.’ In the meantime, Lifetime will pursue all measures to uphold its valid and binding agreement reached with the Weinstein Co. for Season 6 of ‘Project Runway.’”

Lowe also showed concern for the viewers of the popular series in his 43-page ruling, writing “what is of concern for this court is the time ‘Project Runway’ will be off of the air during the course of this litigation.

Implementing this injunction will leave the program in limbo while the matter proceeds to trial.”

But the judge also pointed out that in the history of the show there have been hiatuses between six months and 13 months. Pursuant to court rules, Lowe ordered NBC to post a $20 million bond, which is typical in cases when plaintiffs win temporary injunctions. Court rules indicate that the bond should be paid if it is later found that the injunction was improper.

NBC says the reason the Weinstein Co. went to Lifetime looking for a better deal was because NBC didn’t want to bundle the show with other Weinstein Co. productions.  Weinstein argued that there was no right of first refusal in their contract and that the deal was offered to NBC but Lifetime outbid them.

Weinstein Co. and Lifetime were also ordered not to promote, market or air Project Runway.

With a show that has never been on any sort of regular schedule between seasons, it looks like another year of waiting while this all gets hashed out in court.  This is disappointing for fans, but imagine the disappointment of the designers competing in season six who thought they’d had gotten their big break.  Production of the show will not be effected, but who knows when it will actually air.

And imagine how Heidi Klum must feel.  First the Emmy co-host disaster, now this?  It hasn’t been her week.

Earlier this week, we told you how the war of words between Lindsay Lohan and her famewhore father Michael was escalating out of control. Michael was e-mailing and calling every media outlet he could think of to talk smack about Lindsay’s girlfriend, Samantha Ronson. Finally, Lindsay has had enough. Page Six is reporting that the actress has filed a protection order against her dad, because she fears that he may do something more drastic than he’s already been doing.

ANOTHER day, another Lohan family drama. Lindsay , who told us several days ago that her father, Michael, “needs to be on medication,” is so scared of him, sources said, that she’s “taking out an order of protection. He’s behaving so erratically that she’s terrified he’ll do something to her. She’s contacted her lawyer to arrange this.” Lindsay’s sister, Ali, “already has an order of protection against him, as does [mom] Dina. No one is speaking with him until he gets help.” Lindsay’s rep declined to comment.

According to the State of NY (where I’m assuming Lindsay filed the order, since that’s where her father lives), a protection order is “legal document in which a Judge orders someone to follow specific conditions of behavior…. Police can make immediate arrests if they have good reason to believe those conditions have been violated. The point of a Temporary Order of Protection is to maintain peace and provide protection until all the facts have been gathered and the case is heard in Court. After the Judge hears the case and decides that the defendant/respondent has committed an offense or endangered the person protected by the Order, a final order is issued. In New York, every Order has a specific expiration date.”

No word yet on what kind of protection order Lindsay filed, but I think she is doing the right thing- her dad is out of control and if he can’t restrain himself, perhaps he can visit his old buddy, the jail cell.

If anything is going to send reformed party girl Lindsay Lohan back down the path of substance abuse, it’s this ongoing verbal slapfight between her and her annoying famewhore father, Michael. Mr. Holier-than-thou, who is an ex-con himself, just can’t stop e-mailing the tabloids his opinions on his daughter’s companion of choice, Samantha Ronson. His latest attack was via e-mail to x17, in which he called the celebrity DJ “hideous” and “disgusting.” He also accuses her of being the person writing Lindsay’s latest MySpace blog entries. Unfortunately, Lindsay can’t help herself, either. The smartest thing to do is simply ignore her father, but instead, she shot an e-mail to Page Six defending Samantha and their relationship and slamming her dad.

“My father obviously needs to be on medication to control his moods. He is out of line and his words show how much anger he has, and it’s dangerous and scary as it reminds me of how he treated my mother and I my whole childhood. He needs to be stopped. This is yet another reason why we aren’t speaking.

“I am in a great place in life,” Lindsay continued. “I have overcome a lot and have been able to learn how to enjoy and appreciate my life in every way possible. I’m proud of myself for being able to make a change in the past year and a half.

“My past is behind me, and that’s final. There’s nothing more to be said. All the false accusations that people try to make are simply because there’s no story when things are calm and good.

“But they might as well let it go because their lies don’t affect me anymore. Samantha is not evil, I care for her very much and she’s a wonderful girl.

“She loves me, as I do her.”

Is anyone else as sick of this as I am? Maybe the whole family needs to go on Jerry Springer and just duke it out, once and for all. As for Michael Lohan, he is not able to accurately judge anyone’s character or criticize the way anyone looks or dresses. The guy calls Joe Francis a “wonderful person” and was quick to praise Lindsay’s last boyfriend, Riley- the one she met in rehab who sold her out to the tabloids as soon as the relationship ended. What the hell does Michael know about anything except exploiting his kids so he can stay in the tabloids? Does he really think she was better off with Riley or Calum Best, whom she dated at the height of her substance abuse problems? I suppose he was just happy Lindsay was with a guy. He has some serious homophobic hang-ups and really needs to STFU, forever. But Lindsay is only feeding his need for attention by responding. The best thing for her to do is completely ignore his idiotic rants.

It always cracks me up whenever Michael or Dina Lohan fly off the handle because someone had the nerve to criticize them or their family. Or their parenting. Or any of the other millions of things you could legitimately criticize the Lohans for. Both Michael and Dina get so self-righteous and haughty, and you can barely keep yourself from cracking up and wondering how they could have so little self-awareness.

That’s exactly what Michael did the other day. Presidential hopeful Barack Obama’s people supposedly declined an offer Lindsay made to host a benefit for him. This comes third hand, and the story is that his camp politely said no thanks because of her reputation. The unnamed insider quoted didn’t into details, call her out for anything in particular, or insult her. But the very fact that Obama’s people declined Lindsay’s offer so greatly upset Michael that he felt he had to immediately defend his daughter’s honor – even though she’s not even speaking to him.

“For Barack Obama to condemn my daughter for past indiscretions when he admitted to the exact same himself is indicative of what kind of president he would be,” Michael Lohan told Pop Tarts via e-mail on Wednesday night.

“His visions of a positive future for this country should be representative of a positive future for people as well. It is looking beyond the difficult times and letting go of the past,” Michael said. “Obviously, Obama can do this for himself and not others, when in fact a good president should have hope for all.”

“Lindsay is gifted — she has a wonderful heart and she can and will affect millions of people in a very positive way. She is here to stay,” he said. “Obama might have eight years, and then he will be giving lectures. Who knows, maybe Lindsay will give him a part in one of her movies.”

What. The. Hell. Michael Lohan must have some severe, severe form of untreatable personality disorder. He really thinks Lindsay matters and will remain more relevant than a presidential nominee? The delusions are just hysterical.

I cannot imagine what would happen if any presidential candidate associated with Lindsay Lohan. It’d be a nightmare. That’s not the candidate’s fault. That’s Lohan’s.

Jiggly boob king Joe Francis seems to think he can make a backup career of making random celebrity commentary and odd disclosures. Now I admit I wouldn’t listen to much of what Joe has to say in general, though I’d be especially disinclined to pay attention to anything having to do with boobs and/or paying drunk, underage girls to show theirs. But if Joe wants to over share about Lindsay Lohan, I’m probably going to perk my ears a bit. Because he has such great insight an all.

When Joe Francis stopped by the Hollywood Party Girl show yesterday, he went wild when asked about Lindsay Lohan, claiming that her constant companion Samantha Ronson is so jealous of any of L.L.’s male friends that she almost punched him.

“Lindsay’s straight,” he offered. “I think Sam has taken ownership of Lindsay. I think if Sam were to let Lindsay go even that much; Lindsay would revert back to being straight.”

Ronson’s rep declined to comment saying, “We don’t comment on stuff like that,” while LiLo’s rep has yet to respond. Francis was reported to have dated Linds in her pre-rehab days and she even vacationed at his Casa Aramara mansion in Mexico.

And what about Paris Hilton, whom he supposedly hooked up with awhile back? “Is it true that we’ve dated?” he asked. “Absolutely.The sex tapes are all over the Internet.” That Joe Francis, always keeping it classy.

Joe sure seems to think that he’s got Lindsay down pat. You know Joe, there are two other possibilities here. 1) Lindsay is bisexual and 2) you turned her gay. Just a thought. I would definitely date Samantha Ronson before Joe Francis.

On a scale of one to ten, how mean is it that Joe Francis consistently makes me want to vomit? A rumor was floating around that Joe made out with Danity Kane singer Aubrey O’Day at a party, to which he responded, that if he did make out with her, it’s just his way of saying hi. And really, what’s a nicer way to say hello than to pass someone your cold sores?

For a long while I chose to stay innocent and believe that Lindsay Lohan really cared about Samantha Ronson, and vice versa. How else could you explain how quiet and low key (relatively speaking) Lohan had been about their relationship? Though Lindsay has yet to officially confirm that the two are together, she makes no attempt to hide it either, and for a long time I thought it was cute and somewhat innocent, and least for her.

But it’s pretty clear she’s just working it for the publicity. After two separate and distinct rounds of “they’re getting engaged” rumors flew about the internet, Lohan was spotted wearing a ring on her left hand within days – generally after. It seems like a coordinated attempt: and either Lohan is putting out the gossip herself, or at least embracing and responding to it by wearing the ring.

But her parents say it’s all bull, and for once I am inclined to believe them.

Did Lindsay Lohan really get a rock from her rocker girl, Samantha Ronson?

Once again, rumors are rampant that the ladyloves are engaged! Well, that’s what happens when you are a young, famous female in love and you go around sporting a heart-shaped sparkler on your left hand. And now, we can confirm for you…It’s not true.

“It’s all BS,” says her father, Michael Lohan, when asked if L.A. DJ Ronson recently proposed to his daughter. “It’s not true.” A source close to Dina Lohan adds, “She said it’s just one of Lindsay’s cocktail rings, nothing more.” In fact, Lindsay enjoys wearing flashy rings on her wedding ring finger especially because of the storm it causes in the media.

“It’s like her own personal joke these days,” the source said. “She slips a ring on that finger, then goes to a party and watches the rumors start to roll. It amuses her.”

I bet it amuses her. But phrasing it like that makes it sound like it amuses Lohan because she thinks she’s clever or the joke’s on everyone else. The joke is on her. If someone you previously thought was not engaged suddenly wore a gigantic ring on their left hand ring finger, wouldn’t you wonder about it? And probably ask other people? It’s not like people are gossiping needless or rushing to speculate.

You wear a ring there because you’re engaged. Doing it for some other reason and then acting like everyone else is stupid for thinking you’re doing it for the normal reason just makes you look foolish. So as usual the joke’s on Lohan. What’ll be awesome is one day when she does get engaged, and no one will care to the same extent they would have (and she’ll want) if she’d been calling wolf less.

The Sun has a report that Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson are definitely getting married in the next six months. Some version of this rumor gets all hot at least once a month (and invariably Michael Lohan comments at least every other month) before it settles down. However The Sun claims to have detailed quotes from Samantha, which is new.

SAMANTHA RONSON says that she WILL marry lesbian lover LINDSAY LOHAN in the next six months. Sam used her DJ slot at top LA hotel and night spot Chateau Marmont to announce the news, telling clubbers: “By the end of this year, my love will be Mrs Ronson.” She added: “Tonight shows the power of a woman – to underestimate that is to underestimate the world.”

Li-Lo – who yesterday showed off her trim figure in a bandage dress on the set of Ugly Betty – has also been talking up her relationship with Sam, plus their matching tattoos.

She told Marie Claire: “Samantha had some stars so I had some done as well.

“I am very happy. She is a fantastic person who has a great influence on everyone around her.”

Samantha’s comment sure makes you wonder. Not just for obvious reasons, but because it’s harder to discount a public statement rather than something made by “insider source.” It also shows that they’re really starting to make bold statements about each other.

It’s definitely way too soon for them. Lindsay is only 22, and a very immature 22-year-old at that. Given the nature of her parents, it’s hard to imagine she’s got a decent chance of ever developing a normal level of maturity. But she can still get a little more by waiting a few years before even considering marriage.
