Mariah Carey appeared on MTV’s Total Request Live yesterday to premiere her new video with Snoop Dogg and Pharrell, “Say Something.” It’s not that catchy of a song, and the background track is too repetitive. The video jumps around to different luxurious scenes in Paris and in high end shops, and although it’s interesting it’s not fabulous.

Here is Mariah at Total Request Live and outside the MTV studios yesterday. Sure she looks good now that she’s lost weight, but why does she continue to dress like she’s 14?

Now we know the reason why only Pharrell came to Paris to film his part in the Say Something video – Snoop would have been too expensive:

Mariah goes on to emphasize how over-the-top Snoop’s requirements are, without getting into specifics. Maybe he just didn’t feel like flying to Europe to work and decided it would be easier if the work came to him.

Mariah may be taking advantage of her 20 pound weight loss to become a spokesperson for a fashion house. She is said to have been noticed by Louis Vuitton higher-ups while filming “Say Something” in their Paris store. Her rep said that “she is in talks” with “quite a few fashion labels.” [via]

More photos surfaced of Mariah and Pharrell filming “Say Something,” the next single off Mariah’s multi-platinum album, “The Emancipation of Mimi.” Mariah looks healthy and more toned in a side-slit bathing suit. Coveted Louis Vuitton purses and a slew of gorgeous shoes are featured in the video. Snoop Dog was rumored to have a spot in “Say Something,” and he lends his talent to the track, but we haven’t found pictures of him with Carey and Pharrell. He may be edited into the video later.

We may have spoken too soon when we speculated that Pharrell and Carey were an item. Although they were pictured holding hands after the shoot, it may have been just for publicity as the two are both said to be involved with other people. Pictures [via]

Mariah Carey, 35, holds hands with Pharrell Williams, the successful 32 year-old lead vocalist of NERD, as they leave Paris. Although their relationship looks more than just professional they were shooting “The Say Something” video together a couple days ago. Late last month Mariah was said to be dating NY-based rapper Cam’ron.

Mariah says in the March issue of Marie Claire that the rumors of her 2001 breakdown were false and she was simply overworked:

Mariah must have forgotten that her publicist confirmed that she was “under psychiatric care” at the time.

Mariah Carey wears a jacket as a robe while filming the “Say Somethin” video in Paris on 3/9.

Mariah has been working out and asking people to punch her and feel her up. She recently bragged about her firmer body to Page Six staff, and invited them to feel her thighs and ass. Unfortunately, Mariah fears that she’s working out too much and plans to slow down so she doesn’t lose her ass:
