Mary-Louise Parker looked the worst at the CNN Heroes event, right?

Last night, yet another CNN Heroes event went down in LA. I don’t begrudge CNN for hosting these endless events for heroic members of the community at large, but it really feels like they’re doing events once a month, and it’s started to lose some meaning. Anyway, lots of celebrities came out for the event. Let’s start with Mary-Louise Parker, who is one of my favorite ladies. Unfortunately for the MLP-fans, she looked like hell last night. WTF is going on with her hair? I don’t even think MLP has naturally curly hair, which means that a hair stylist came over and spent time making her look like this. Yikes. I’m also not a fan of the black doily and giant crucifix on her chest, but the hair is the worst part.

Here’s Emma Roberts in a little cocktail dress. It’s cute, but she feels too “undone”.

God, I feel like I haven’t seen Christy Turlington in a long time. I like her hair these days, but the dress is meh.

Sofia Vergara in Dolce & Gabbana. I’m kind of tired of her style lately. And I think she should have either gone with standard black shoes if she wanted to wear black hose, or just wore those shoes with naked legs.

Brooklyn Decker, or all people, is my choice for best dressed of the event. The dress is Christian Dior, and it’s adorable. Her hair is cute, the shoes are killer, and everything works. Well done, Brooklyn.

Miley Cyrus came to the event with her boyfriend, Liam Hemsworth. Miley wore this Roberto Cavalli which… looks so much better than the Jenny Packham dress she wore a few days ago. See what a good empire waist does for her? See what happens when you support your girls? While her hair is still rather busted, I’ll take this look over the Croydon facelift any day of the week.

Jennifer Lopez shoved Mary-Louise Parker out of the way to meet Duchess Kate

wenn3431065

As we already know, Jennifer Lopez is ALL ABOUT Prince William and Duchess Kate. She got the most face-camera time with Kate and Will when they were in LA, at the BAFTA event. Jennifer brought her mom, and J.Lo and Guadalupe definitely seemed to come to the event with a goal. After the event, Jennifer even tweeted that the Cambridges were “simply charming” – as if she were the Queen of Hollywood and she deigned to meet the prince and his duchess wife. I think the overwhelming majority of us were just kind of horrified with her dress, though. She chose a really inappropriate dress to meet Will and Kate.

Anyway, Mary-Louise Parker is not worried about alienating the self-appointed queen of Hollywood. MLP was asked by People Magazine how she enjoyed the BAFTA event, and whether she got to meet Will and Kate. MLP replied, “I didn’t meet them. I was shoved out of the way by Jennifer Lopez. Uh oh, I shouldn’t have said that.” OH NOES. Jennifer is going to cut a bitch over this! MLP better watch her ass, because I think Jennifer is standing nude in someone’s basement, having chicken blood smeared on her so that a Santeria spell can be put on MLP. It’s going to be terrible!

Here’s a question: would you shove someone out of the way to meet Kate? I don’t think I would. I would like to see her in person, sure. But I’m not one of those people who needs to shake someone’s hand and have my photo taken with them, unless that person is someone like Michael Fassbender. I would shove my mother down a flight of a stairs to get to the Fassdong.

Mary-Louise Parker walks the ‘RED’ red carpet with her hot boyfriend

wenn3045428

Mary Louise Parker has been dating musician Charlie Mars for more than a year now, after she “stole” him from his girlfriend (although the “girlfriend” sounded more like a casual relationship that had run it’s course, and the girl sounded a bit psycho). This is pretty much the only relationship Mary Louise has had since all of the weirdness happened between her and Jeffrey Dean Morgan, what with his knocking up Hilary Burton while he was probably still technically “dating” MLP. So… in the end, I’m rooting for MLP. So it brings me great joy to see her on a red carpet with Charlie Mars. This is their first official red carpet outing as a couple. They were at a special screening for RED, that film about older, retired/burnt-out CIA people who go on one last mission or something. It stars Bruce Willis, MLP, Helen Mirren, Morgan Freeman and John Malkovich, amongst others. It has such a great cast that I’m really hoping it’s a wonderful movie and a big hit.

Mary-Louise Parker on Bill O’Reilly: “He sounds like an idiot. Who is he again?”

wenn2883473

Vanity Fair just put up an excellent interview with Mary-Louise Parker, who is once again nominated for an Emmy for her performance in Weeds. The interview was conducted by Eric Spitznagel, who is totally boy-crushing on MLP because she’s so f-cking hardcore and “not America‘s sweetheart.” He tells a story about MLP from several years ago, when she was participating in an Emmy roundtable with members of the press, discussing her character on The West Wing. She admitted that West Wing fans didn’t care for her, but dismissed the fans saying, “They probably have to f-ck with the lights off.” Crude! And funny. The full VF piece is here, and here are the best parts (there‘s a long conversation about marijuana lollipops that I found boring, so I took it out):

Eric Spitznagel: You know how sometimes watching a TV show about food can make you hungry? Whenever I watch Weeds, it always makes me feel like I need to get stoned immediately.
Mary-Louise Parker: Yeah, so many people tell me that.

Does the same thing happen for you? When you finish shooting an episode, do you feel an urge to light up a joint?
I don’t do drugs, but I’m really suggestible. So I imagine if I did, that’s exactly what would happen. I’d be smoking all day long.

Wait, you don’t smoke marijuana, or you’ve never smoked it?
I’ve never smoked it.

Wow. That’s like finding out Tommy Chong never touched the stuff. I feel so betrayed.
I guess if it was going to happen, it would’ve happened when I was younger. But that was never an effective or interesting form of rebellion for me. Because everybody did it. Marijuana was just a social thing. It wasn’t dangerous or frowned upon. If I’d been popular in high school, I’m sure I would have wanted to do it. But I wasn’t.

So you didn’t smoke pot because nobody was offering it to you?
Oh no, it was definitely offered to me. All the time. I was hanging around a lot of musicians, so I definitely had access to drugs. It just never appealed to me. Everybody was doing it, and I didn’t want to be part of the crowd. There was no part of me that wanted to fit in.

You should do a P.S.A. You’ve almost convinced me that pot is boring.
Yeah, probably. But I’m not saying pot is a bad thing. I know plenty of people who should be smoking pot. I’m just not one of those people. I don’t think it would be the best drug for me. What am I going to do, start doing drugs at my age? It’s a little late. I’m a mother of two. It’s probably not the best idea for me to start getting into it now.

Well, I know a few mothers who still partake.
Yeah, I do too. They just wait until their kids are asleep. I don’t know, I guess marijuana just wasn’t made for me.

Over the last few seasons of Weeds, we’ve learned that Nancy likes her sex a little freaky. She wants a lover who isn’t shy with the slapping and the spanking. Is that something you can relate to at all?
I think for her, sexuality is something that she wields. And she needs sex to be somewhat punitive. You know what I mean?

It has to feel like punishment?
Yeah, in a way. I think a lot of people have so much guilt wrapped up in sex, so they almost can’t tell the difference. There’s a scene we did for this season that gets pretty explicit. It was just supposed to be sex in a bar, but I really wanted it to be almost abusive. Because I think she needs it that way. And that’s really informative. If you just see two people f-cking on screen, it’s not necessarily revealing about those characters. But if it’s coming from a particular point of view, that’s when I think it gets interesting.

You’ve been called a “thinking man’s sex symbol.” Does that mean dumb people don’t find you sexy?
I guess so. Dumb people don’t want to f-ck me. (Laughs.) I really don’t know what to say. “Thinking man’s sex symbol.” What do you suppose that means?

I’m not sure. When you get approached by male fans, are they usually neurosurgeons or college professors?
Not really, no. And thank god. I couldn’t even have a conversation with a neurosurgeon. I wouldn’t know what to say. I think that’s probably not an accurate way to describe me. Plenty of dumb people want to f-ck me. Oh god, that’s not going to play well in print, is it?

I think it’s great. What are you worried about, offending dumb people?
Yeah, I could be alienating the dumb people who want to f-ck me. I’m just happy that anybody considers me a sex symbol at all. It does not cause me any amount of grief to be objectified in any way. I welcome it.

If your fans can’t be categorized in terms of intelligence, how would you describe them? Are they a certain age or social class or demographic? When you’re approached in the street, what’s the common denominator?
I never know why people come up to me. I think a lot of them just get super-excited because they recognize me from TV but they don’t remember where. It’s not like they’re necessarily happy to see me, you know?

You’re just the lady from the talking picture box.
Yeah, exactly. I think it’s a little dangerous if you overvalue that kind of attention. My son has recently started to notice it. One time a lady came running up to me in the street and said, “I love you! I love you so much!” And my son asked me later, “Why did that stranger say she loved you?” That’s a very hard question to answer.

How do you explain it? “The world is full of lonely freaks?”
I just said, “She was being hyperbolic, honey. Sometimes when people see someone from television, they feel like that person has come to life and they’re not just inside the TV box. They get very excited and don’t understand personal boundaries.”

And sometimes they like to give mommy pot brownies.
Precisely. But thankfully, they haven’t really done that in view of my children. Although my kids have started to hear about it. They know that my character on Weeds does something with drugs. So now I get questions like, “What are drugs?” And I’m like, “Well, it’s something that … people do.” It’s so hard! Sometimes it’s just easier to say, “She does things that are really, really naughty.” Kids love to hear that. “Oooh, like what?”

Well, like sometimes she has unprotected sex with Mexican mobsters and ends up having their baby.
That’s right. And sometimes men spank her in the back of limousines.

Jennifer Aniston got some flack recently from Bill O’Reilly because she said it’s O.K. to be a single mother. O’Reilly went so far as to call her opinions “destructive to society.” I’m pretty sure I know the answer to this already, but as a single mother who plays a single mother on TV, do you disagree?
I don’t even know what you’re talking about. Why is being a single mother destructive?

I’m not sure I follow his argument. Something about the nuclear family and fathers being disrespected.
Give me a break. He sounds like an idiot. Who is he again?

He’s got a show on Fox News.
That’s the right-wing channel? Well, there you go. Maybe he’s right, I don’t know. I don’t think you necessarily have to be part of a traditional nuclear family to be a good mother. A lot of children from traditional nuclear families have really unhappy childhoods, and they have dysfunctional, distant parents who don’t pay attention to them. Also, some people don’t plan on being single parents. It’s not like you’re sitting at home and thinking, “Wow, I’d really like to do this by myself. I’d love to wake up six times a night and change diapers and have nobody to help me. That’d be great!” I certainly didn’t do that.

So you’re not buying O’Reilly’s theory that single mothers are destroying the fabric of society?
I think that opinion is pretty narrow-minded. People like him—and I don’t even know who he is, so this is just a guess—they usually just say sh-t like that for attention. He probably comes from a nuclear family and didn’t get enough attention as a child.

[From Vanity Fair]

Oh, snap. I love her, and yes, she is hardcore, and no, she’s not interested in being America’s Sweetheart, and isn’t that refreshing? I also love this: “Also, some people don’t plan on being single parents. It’s not like you’re sitting at home and thinking, ‘Wow, I’d really like to do this by myself. I’d love to wake up six times a night and change diapers and have nobody to help me. That’d be great!’ I certainly didn’t do that.” THIS. This is the closest she’s ever come to bitching about Billy Crudup ever, I think. He left her when she was eight months pregnant, so being a single mom wasn’t her plan, but she embraced it and had fun with it and never played the “I’m so wronged, love me!” card. And that is why MLP is the Queen.

One last thing: this is the photo VF used… how crazy is this? I realize she has a killer figure, but the ’Shopping must stop.

Marry-Louise Parker: adopting Ethiopian daughter is best decision I’ve made

wenn2630702
Last night Mary-Louise Parker was in attendance at the 5th Annual Worldwide Orphans Foundation Benefit Gala in New York. She spoke to People Magazine about her adopted Ethopian daughter Caroline Aberash, whom MLP calls “Ash”. Ash and William, MLP’s son with Billy Crudup, “put on shows all the time with top hats… It’s very vaudeville. They are really sweet together and sometimes they hurt each other, but they are just like me and my brother.” MLP also talks about her new boyfriend Charlie Mars. Charlie is the guy she allegedly “stole” from his girlfriend, but MLP doesn’t talk about that. She just calls Charlie a “sweet” guy.

Nothing beats the home life for Mary-Louise Parker.

“Becoming a mom is the best thing that’s happened to me,” Parker, 45, told PEOPLE at the 5th Annual Worldwide Orphans benefit gala in New York City Monday. “I’ll be the first to admit that it can be very hard to raise two kids, but I absolutely love it. I can’t imagine what my life would be without my children.”

Parker, already a single mom to William Atticus, 5, her son with former boyfriend Billy Crudup, adopted Caroline Aberash, whom she calls “Ash,” from Ethiopia, now 3, in August 2007. She says it was the “best decision I’ve ever made.”

“She says, ‘I love you mommy’ and asks, ‘Do you love me so much,’ ” Parker said with joy. “She has a little bit of a speech delay; Amharic was her first language she heard. But she’s really indomitable. She’s really strong and she’s like a little warrior. She’s really amazing.”

And she’s a great fit with her big brother.

“They both want to put on shows all the time with top hats,” Parker said. “It’s very vaudeville. They are really sweet together and sometimes they hurt each other, but they are just like me and my brother.”

These days Parker can share the joys of motherhood with her musician boyfriend Charlie Mars, 35, whom she calls a “great guy.”

“It’s an inferable thing when you like someone,” Parker said. “He’s kind and very sweet.”

Now that Parker has two kids in her life, what has she learned about herself?

“They really put you in touch on how little you know and how little you are capable of and much you are capable of,” she said. “They are very humbling children. I am more patient now. I’ve become much more patient.”

[From People]

Sigh. I love MLP. I love her suit here too – it’s subdued but still sexy. Other than that, I like what she says about her kids and her new boyfriend, but I’m still torn. Charlie’s cute and everything, but I want her to get back with Jeffrey Dean Morgan, who is unbelievably sexy. They made such a hot couple, and they should have gotten married. Maybe he’s a weird guy, though. He seems like he would have skeletons in his closet. Of course, he also seems like he would be incredible in bed, so you win some, you lose some.

Is Mary-Louise Parker a cougar homewrecker?

90922x3_parker_b-gr_01

Last Friday, People posted what I considered a rather innocuous little “New Couple” piece about how 45-year-old single mother of two Mary-Louise Parker has started dating musician Charlie Mars, 35. I’m sure some people were like “Go get ‘em, Cougar!” but I didn’t really see the big deal. Sure, Charlie is a cute guy. But Mary-Louise is really cool, so she deserves all of the hot pieces she wants. I was actually more excited about the prospect that Mary-Louise and Jeffrey Dean Morgan had finally broken up for good – that man is fine, and it’s interesting to know he’s single. Cough cough I’m plotting cough.

TV’s hottest mom has a cute new boyfriend.

Mary-Louise Parker, 45, has been dating musician Charlie Mars, 35, since early June, sources tell PEOPLE. Parker and the Mississippi-born singer and songwriter were all but inseparable last weekend when the Emmy-nominated Weeds star was in Los Angles to attend the awards.

Before they started dating, the mother of two was a fan of the up-and-coming artist. Last year, she appeared in the video for “Listen to the Darkside,” the first single off his record Like a Bird, Like a Plane.

Parker had previously been linked with her one-time Weeds costar Jeffery Dean Morgan.

[From People]

So, nice story, right? Mary-Louise has found a hot piece/love, and good for her. Not so fast! Defamer and the NYDN are questioning whether Mary-Louise “stole” Charlie from his girlfriend of three years, journalist Lindsey Brown, who works for WTOK, a local Mississippi station. The source of this “homewrecking” charge seems to have come from an e-mail sent to Defamer titled “Cougar Goes Too Far”. The e-mail references the whole Billy Crudup dumping MLP for Claire Danes thing, if you find that relevant. Here’s the e-mail:

Readers may find it interesting that actress Mary Louise Parker who was dumped late in her pregnancy five years ago went on to rip apart the three year relationship of her new boyfriend Charlie Mars and his then 25 year old Mississippi girlfriend.

Early June Mars was still in a relationship with news anchor Lindsey Brown who is a journalist in Meridian Mississippi. Mars and Brown met while Brown was finishing up college at the University of Mississippi. It was Brown who helped Mars move through his substance/drug abuse problems he has battled for the last decade.

You would think a woman who suffered so greatly at the hands of a man would work to make sure other women aren’t betrayed the same way…

[From E-mail sent to Defamer]

Uh… right. So, this e-mail was sent by Lindsey Brown, correct? And Lindsey comes off as a bit… crazy, yes? No, I won’t go there. We don’t know what happened. It’s totally possible that Mary-Louise isn’t as cool as I think she is, that she’s some prickly homewrecking cougar who goes out looking for young men that have already been “fixed” by other women. Or Mary-Louise could be so cool that when a “taken” guy meets her, he’s becomes all “Oh, I don’t have a girlfriend, no way. Your hair is pretty.” Or Charlie and Lindsey were already broken up when he began dating Mary-Louise. Whatever.

Here’s Mary Louise Parker making a quick dash to the security line at Los Angeles International Airport with Charlie Mars on September 21st. Images thanks to BauerGriffinOnline.

Mary-Louise Parker doesn’t care for nudity or sentimentality

hedda gabler afterparty 260109
Mary-Louise Parker is the June cover girl for More Magazine (story via People), and she’s got a lot to say about a recent episode of Weeds where she was naked. In one scene, Mary-Louise’s character is naked in the bathtub, and Parker now claims that the director “goaded” her into it. She felt that her character didn’t need to be naked, and she fought with the director over it. The result? She did the scene in the nude, and her attitude is now “bitter”. She feared her boobs would become the talk of the internet, or as Mary-Louise suggests a headline: “’Mary-Louise shows off her big nipples.” Yikes. She also talks about the direction she wants Weeds to go in – less sentimental, less crude, and more extreme dramatically. She also talks straight about plastic surgery – she says she hasn’t had any, and I believe her:

Mary-Louise Parker has always been fine with the sex scenes in her role as Nancy Botwin, a marijuana-selling suburban mom in the Showtime series Weeds, but she thinks that a recent nude scene of her in the bathtub took things a little too far.

“I didn’t think I needed to be naked,” she tells More Magazine in its June issue. “I fought with the director about it, and now I am bitter. I knew it was going to be on the Internet: ‘Mary Louise shows off her big nipples.’ I wish I hadn’t done that. I was goaded into it.”

The show’s co-executive producer, Roberto Benabib, defended the moment, stating that the nudity was necessary to convey the character’s vulnerability. “We felt at that point in her life, defenses had been so thoroughly stripped away,” he says. “There was a nonchalance to the nudity that informed the scene … I thought it was wonderful, one of the five best scenes Mary-Louise has ever done [on Weeds].”

Despite being bitter over the nude scene, Parker still very much enjoys playing her character on the show. “I like it the more extreme it is,” she says. “But I don’t like it when it’s crass and crude for humor’s sake, and I don’t like when it’s sentimental, when she’s a sweet mother. To me, she’s not that.”

Parker also talks about the pressures to look young in Hollywood, but she’s not giving in to the knife anytime soon. “Somebody told me that they’d read I had all this work done, and showed me a picture and it was totally airbrushed … it made me so mad,” she says. “I don’t like what that says to other women. I’m 44 and I look okay for 44. I’m not trying to look 34.”

[From People]

She does look really good for 44, or for 34. She’s one of those actresses who can do no wrong in my book, and I love her attitude about aging and about her work. It seems like she and Roberto Benabib really did have some kind of hardcore disagreement over the nudity, but I doubt the controversy will cause anyone to loose their job. The worst part of this interview is that Mary-Louise doesn’t address any questions about Jeffrey Dean Morgan, that gorgeous beefcake that she is rumored to be back together with.

Mary-Louise Parker & Jeffrey Dean Morgan are back together

Mary Louise Parker

One of my favorite couples is back together! May-Louise Parker and Jeffrey Dean Morgan reunited Friday night to attend a concert in Los Angeles. The couple were on-and-off for several years, having met on the set of Weeds, where Morgan played Mary-Louise’s dead husband.

They always seemed like a real couple, one that was unbelievably sexy. The couple seemed to break up for good last year, but I don’t blame Mary-Louise for going back for seconds. From the reports of their date night, it seems like Mary-Louise was more into the music than Morgan, who “contentedly sat” watching Mary-Louise, and occasionally “nuzzled her”.

Reconciliation never looked so sweet. Reunited lovebirds Mary-Louise Parker and Jeffrey Dean Morgan left the kids at home Friday night, heading to a concert in Los Angeles for some adult fun.

“They came in both wearing leather jackets, really low-key,” a concertgoer tells RadarOnline. “At one point, Jeffrey nuzzled her as he whispered into her ear and then planted a kiss on her. It was intimate and sweet.”

Clearly there as Parker’s plus one, Morgan contentedly sat watching as she got into the music, swaying in her seat and heartily laughing at musician Josh Ritter’s jokes.

Halfway through the concert, it was Parker’s turn to lay on the affection, sweetly placing her head on his shoulder.

Adds the onlooker: “They were clearly very comfortable with each other. You can tell by the way they talk to each other that they’re best friends too.”

[From Radar Online]

So, are they back together? Are they friends with benefits? Did they ever really split? I tend to think they probably did split for a time, but kept up contact. And I’m really hoping they are truly back together, that it’s not some mutual hook-up with no strings attached sort of thing. But props to Mary-Louise for keeping a guy that hot at her beck and call.

Someone went through Mary-Louise Parker’s trash and told Page Six about it

Celebrities have to deal with a lot of hassles. It’s part of the deal with fame: you get a lot of cash, but you may get a lot of stalkers too. Or maybe just plainly creepy, unnaturally curious people. Some weirdo went through Mary-Louise Parker’s garbage can outside her Washington Square apartment in Manhattan. As if that weren’t creepy enough, the person then wrote to the New York Post to tell them all about it. They included photocopies of Parker’s prescription receipts from a nearby drugstore.

CELEBRITIES who live in Greenwich Village may want to run out and buy paper shredders. Their garbage is being sifted through by creepy trash-trollers who want to bare their secrets. One recent victim is Mary-Louise Parker, the sexy star of Showtime’s “Weeds,” who lives in a luxury apartment building overlooking Washington Square Park.

An anonymous letter was sent to Page Six from someone who claims to have sifted through the actress’ refuse and included photocopies of Parker’s drug prescription receipts from Bigelow Pharmacy on Sixth Avenue. They show that last year she shelled out a $20 insurance co-payment for a supply of 30 tablets of a medication that’s commonly used to treat low-thyroid function and prevent goiters. It was prescribed by a Manhattan internist.

A rep for Parker had no comment, but sources say the South Carolina-born beauty, 44, has been treated for an underactive thyroid for years. Other celebrities who live on some of the Village’s best blocks are even more vulnerable than Parker because they have private townhouses and place their trash in cans easily accessible to passers-by. They include Matthew Broderick and Sarah Jessica Parker, Liv Tyler, Charlie Rose and Graydon Carter.

One longtime village resident told us, “This is incredibly creepy. It’s like nothing is sacred. I hope they find the nut job who’s doing this.”

[From Page Six]

It’s kind of unclear whether or not what this person did was illegal or just super, super creepy. Once something’s placed in the trash outside, it’s no longer your property. However I’ve heard of people getting arrested for going through people’s garbage cans… so clearly there’s something that could be done.

It’s pretty common practice in New York for people to go through other’s trash. A lot of poor people make money by visiting areas the night before recycling is picked up and collecting all the cans to get the refunds themselves. An old lady and her son do it along my street at about midnight every Wednesday, and they bring a van along. She pushes a cart and fills it up while he keeps pace in the van. I only noticed because at first I thought he was following her and got worried.

Pretty much everyone I know has some stuff in their apartment that they found on the street. Not being a New York native, I find this really, really disgusting. Not in a snobby way, but that’s a great way to transport bugs and God knows what else into your home. I am proud to say that the only thing that’s ever ended up going from the street to my apartment is a child’s chalkboard easel. Roommates do weird things when they’re drunk.

The point is, if you live in New York, celebrity or not, you know that people are going to go through your garbage. Absolutely no one is immune to it. I’m not sure what workarounds there are, but I’d think if Mary-Louise Parker were really private about her thyroid prescriptions, she would have shredded the paper. She probably will from now on, but as creepy as it is I doubt it’s going to be the next upcoming celebrity crime wave as the Daily news suggests.

Mary-Louise Parker and Jeffrey Dean Morgan break off engagement

marylouisedeanheader.jpg
Mary-Louise Parker, 43, and that guy who plays her dead husband on Weeds, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, 41, have broken off their engagement. They confirmed their engagement in February, after having made a public appearance together at the premiere of P.S., I Love You in early December.

They were together on and off for about two years, and the last time they called their relationship off was in July of last year, with Morgan saying it was the “wrong time in both our lives.”

It seems like they just weren’t right for each other. I know I’ve been in relationships like that, where no matter how much you love and are drawn to the person there’s just some problems that are insurmountable and it doesn’t work. You keep trying and it’s like bashing your head against a wall when you think you’re running toward a tropical pool. Ah, the mirage of ill-fated love.

Parker has two children, William, 4, with her ex, Billy Crudup, and a baby girl she adopted from Africa in September of last year.

Thanks to PRPhotos for these pictures of Mary-Louise and Jeffrey in December at the P.S., I Love You premiere.
