Actress Mena Suvari, 31, was married to music producer Simon Sestito, 25, in a private church in Vatican City on Saturday. Sestito is of Italian-Canadian descent and the couple reportedly chose the location in order to accommodate the groom’s family in Italy. It is the second marriage for Suvari, who was married to German cinematographer Robert Brinkmann, 17 years her senior, for five years until their divorce in 2005. After splitting from Brinkmann, Suvari briefly dated a younger breakdancer. Sesito and Suvari met in 2007 at the Toronto film festival and were engaged a year later.

Suvari is best known as the ingenue in American Beauty and for her role in American Pie, which she wisely did not follow up in any of the sequels.

The news comes from People, which includes a quote from a guest that “The ceremony was truly unique and Mena looked breathtaking.”

There aren’t any photos of the wedding that I can find although Suvari did share some travel photos on Twitter. Suvari could definitely use the publicity from some lovely wedding photos, and I wouldn’t blame her for releasing some. The fact that there were no paparazzi present (that we know of at this point) makes me think that Suvari was more focused on her special day than on her career. Kendra Wilkinson say that she’s an old fashioned kind of gal, despite the fact that she’s a nude model and used to share her senior ex-boyfriend with two other girls. Unfortunately not everyone can see her old fashioned values, because she’s having a hard time finding a minister willing to come to the Playboy mansion and marry her.

“I’m getting stressed since I’m trying to find a minister to perform the ceremony at the Playboy Mansion,” Wilkinson, 23, tells CeleBuzz. “It might be the most stressful detail.”

Man of the manor Hugh Hefner could take on yet another job, but Wilkinson is thinking a little more traditional.

“We’re trying our hardest,” she says. “But it is the Playboy Mansion.”

Putting out the call through People is probably going to help Kendra find someone willing to perform the ceremony, because while the mansion might be the site of infamous debauchery, it’s also a beautiful old building and if the guests dress appropriately for a wedding it’s going to be the lovely traditional wedding that Kendra is looking for.

People often strive for tradition in their weddings, even if they aren’t traditional in their everyday lives. Mena Suvari is having issues around her wedding - trying to find a dress that hides her tattoos from her conservative future mother-in-law.

Mena Suvari’s wedding dress has one main requirement: cover the “American Beauty” actress’ tattoos. “I think it would be considerate to [fiance Simone Sistito's] family to have my tattoos covered, since there are two nuns on his mother’s side of the family,” Suvari told us at the Vanity Fair and USA Networks Character Project bash last week. Sporting an 8.6-carat, custom-designed engagement ring, Suvari constantly wanted to be around her beau, overheard saying, “Where’s my man? Where’s my man? Did he split?” before finding him texting alone in the corner.

Mena has actually been married before, which is a big no-no in the catholic church. Perhaps her conservative mother-in-law isn’t happy about her son marrying a divorcee and Mena is trying to avoid giving her something else to dislike. Her fiance, concert promoter Simone Sistito, has at least two tattoos, on his arm and chest, which will presumably be covered on their wedding day, while Mena has a small sun at the bottom of her breast bone and another large tattoo on the back of her neck and shoulders of a lion. The latter could be a little difficult to hide, but perhaps Mena could consider Hollywood make up. Often tattoos are covered on screen by make up for stars.

Mena has not revealed the date for her nuptials, Kendra will marry her fiance Hank Baskett in early June.

I have to say Mena Suvari rocks the bald look. And for some weird reason, it doesn’t make her huge forehead look bigger, which you would think would be the natural result. The actress shaved her head for her role in “The Garden of Eden,” an upcoming film based on the Ernest Hemmingway book. Some women can really pull off this look – it just depends on individual features and jaw structure, I think. Oh, and a lack of crazy eyes and umbrellas being wielded.

I wonder who Britney Spears thought she was testing when she got all uppity and shaved her hair. I’m pretty sure everyone failed, and stopped loving her, based on the reactions. Correction: they continued not to love her. Few people were big fans at that point anyway. I think Mena looks amazing, and I’m glad she’s not covering up the bald. When you know someone’s done that, all you do is wonder what it really looks like. I really would give my left arm to see Britney without the wigs. I think Mena would look a bit better without the bug glasses, but I’m slow to adapt to fashion trends. She has some awesome curves. Now I can see why Kevin Spacey had that crush on her. Mena Suvari is not getting enough attention in her one-third-life crisis. In the spring of 2005 she dumped her 17 year-older German husband after five years of marriage, and has been shacking up with a younger breakdancer. She took off her top at the beach a couple of weeks ago - in Florida, not France - and has been seen out in bootlicious outfits. Now she’s just dressing fug, and sporting Nelly Furtado bangs.

The top of her canary yellow tank-style dress has those kind of big scaly sequins that would be at home on a mermaid costume, and the too-short bottom is gathered accordian style. She pairs it with black diamond-patterned 3/4 length leggings. Her accessories include giant hoop earrings and a fat ‘ol chain with a giant M that looks like she snatched it off the hood of a car. Black acrylic nails with silver embellished tips top off her ensemble. The purse and shoes aren’t bad, though.

Mena has a part in that Factory Girl movie, and stars in three upcoming films this year, including another with Sienna Miller called The Mysteries of Pittsburgh, which is the only one that might be decent.

Mena Suvari is content to wear the really tight pants in her relationship and is pumping gas while her younger boyfriend, breakdancer Mike Carrasco, looks on. Carrasco hails from Las Vegas, is four years younger than Suvari, 27, and met her in February of this year. Suvari is divorcing German cinematographer Robert Brinkman, 44, after six years of marriage.
