TC Candler has posted its 22nd Annual Independent Critics List of the 100 Most Beautiful Faces, and the list is rather surprising. Neither Angelina Jolie nor Jennifer Aniston have qualified for the list, which purports to not focus solely upon aesthetic beauty but also upon “grace, elegance, class, poise, joy, promise, hope…” After a presumably careful qualification process on an international basis, the list has settled upon Emma Watson in 1st place. Yes, Emma is very, very pretty in a very youthful way, but I can’t think of any reason why she’d be considered the “most beautiful face” in the world, nor is she “one of the finest talents of this current generation” in the acting department.

The rest of the list — which includes Rihanna, Marion Cotillard, and Amber Heard in the top 10 as well as Lily Collins at #18 — can be seen in its entirety here. Of course, the rankings are subjective, but it seems odd that Mila Kunis has made the list … at #100. Doesn’t this list seem a bit backwards?

In other list-related news, Ask Men has published its annual “Most Desirable” rankings, and the irrepressibly saucy Sofia Vergara scored the top position. Somehow, this cheesecake list sounds a hell of a lot more well-reasoned than one would expect and explains its top pick as follows:

When it comes to Colombian imports, none are more in demand than Sofia Vergara these days. The jaw-dropping Modern Family star is one of our favorite things about one of our favorite comedies. Vergara shows off the best cleavage on network TV, and we’ve never been more jealous of Ed O’Neill. But despite her obvious assets, Vergara’s also one very funny woman, lampooning stereotypes with her perfect timing. You don’t have to pretend to laugh at her jokes, even if you do have to make a concerted effort to pay attention to them. And though you’d never think it to look at her, Vergara is mother to a 20-year-old.

Ask Men takes its list all the way down to #99, which is the slot reserved for Paz de la Huerta, who possibly should’ve qualified slightly higher due to the sheer quantity of nude scenes and photoshoots she’s participated within in the past year or so. Or maybe not. After all, crazy nude isn’t always a desirable thing. By the way, I’ve really missed Paz on the red carpet — she didn’t show up to support “Boardwalk Empire” at either the Golden Globes or the SAGs. Is this because her camp took away the alcohol, and now she is no longer Paz?

I’ve always felt that Mila Kunis is a real standout beauty amongst a seemingly endless sea of Hollywood cookie-cutter women. Unfortunately, her award show looks are often overwhelming and make her look pretty but just like everyone else too. At last night’s Globes, Mila selected a Christian Dior gown (that certainly could’ve used more boob support — the girls looked inexplicably saggy and there was too much of a faux sheer effect) along with a matching Dior clutch and Cartier earrings. The combination is so, so disappointing. Mila usually has no problem bringing it at film premieres, so why does she choose to blend into the scenery on awards red carpets?

Mila’s hair and makeup are also sadly misguided. That hair would’ve looked gorgeous in loose curls or waves. It’s almost as if Mila’s trying very hard not to be noticed. Maybe she didn’t want Gerard Butler to pull a Timberlake while they were presenting together? Damn it, JT ruins everything.

Julianne Moore (also there to present) opted for basic black as well, but the effect was much different because she looked stunning. The dress was Chanel couture, and since Julianne often opts for misguided, gaudily-colored sacks, it’s really nice to see her in something more classic, form-fitting, and downright beautiful. Of course, she ran into another problem with the black though, which is that on an awards-show red carpet, the lack of standout color makes one blend in with the dudes.

The earrings are nice though and give a nice mini-burst of color, and Julianne’s hair looks beautiful in those loose waves. She probably could’ve gotten away with a slightly bolder makeup look though, which would’ve helped her stand out more on the carpet.

Julianne presented with Rob Lowe, and the two had the pleasure of dealing with a broken autocue. They both recovered well even if Rob’s hair also succeeded in weirding me out.

Over the weekend, there was an benefit gala event for the fiftieth anniversary of St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, and several big stars came out. The headliner seemed to be… Mila Kunis? Does that sound right? Well, Mila got most of the attention on the red carpet. She wore Elie Saab, surprisingly enough – because she’s the newest face of Dior, I would have expected her to wear all-Dior, all the time nowadays. But Mila has an existing relationship with the Elie Saab people, and she ended up in this weird purple dress that I don’t really care for. The “lace up” detail along the bust is… odd? Fug? And I hate the fabric fringe at the waist. It makes the dress look unfinished. Still, it’s hard to hate that gorgeous face.

Also at the event: The Hamm Dong. It’s been so long since I’ve written about Jon Hamm! There are rarely new photos of him, and I feel like it’s been years since Mad Men. The new season starts on… MARCH 25th!!!! Son of a bitch. I thought they said it would start this month? AMC A–HOLES!!!! So, basically, I’m not going to get my fix of Draper Dong for another two and a half months? And to make matters worse, The Hamm was trying to hide his bulge from the cameras at the St. Jude’s event. So uncool, dude. This is the reason Michael Fassbender has taken control of my loins. It’s because I needed something in The Hamm’s absence.

God, Jason Bateman looks sexy with a beard. His wife is super-cute too, but look at HIS BEARD. I would tear that up.

Elisabeth Moss… hair issues. I don’t like the dress that much either, but this poor girl and her hair issues. My wish for her in 2012 is that she finds a really great hair stylist and never lets him go.

Mila Kunis is the new face of Dior! These are some of the images from Mila’s new Dior campaign – I find the campaign shots to be gorgeous. Except for the shot where Mila has the red bag – they overdid the Photoshop on her face in that one. But the other shots are gorge.

Dior took a big hit, public-relations-wise, in 2011 when their head designer, John Galliano, revealed himself to be a drunken, racist, anti-Semitic Nazi sympathizer. Galliano was pushed out, and he went to rehab, and Dior is now being looked after by…? I don’t even know. I know that towards the end of last year, there were many names being thrown around, like Marc Jacobs and Alexander Wang, but I think it went to (or is about to go to) a relative unknown by the name of Raf Simons.

Anyway, Dior girls of the past and present have included Marion Cotillard, Charlize Theron and Natalie Portman. Portman was very vocal in her criticism of Galliano, and it’s very interesting to me that it seems like Portman is totally out of her Dior contract and she seems to have been replaced with Mila.

For a young actress — for any actress — getting a big beauty endorsement deal for print and television advertising campaigns is an enormous boost to the career. First of all, it’s very lucrative. Second, it means the world will be exposed to your face, shot by one of the best photographers on the planet. And finally, you become associated with the brand’s international image — which in this case is Dior.

Up until recently, French actress Marion Cotillard has been Dior’s face. While they’ve been working with Charlize Theron for many years on the perfume front, it’s unusual for Dior to have an American actress be their face when it comes to clothing and handbags. Mila Kunis will debut in the new spring/summer 2012 ad campaign shot by Mikael Jansen in New York and will break this month. Kunis is featured in chic black clothes and a red iconic “Miss Dior” bag. Her hair is pulled up in a French style chignon.

“I am absolutely thrilled to be working with Dior,” Kunis announced. “The brand is iconic in so many ways. It defines fashion, elegance and sophistication.”

Kunis has just wrapped Oz:The Great and Powerful with James Franco, and while the actress started her career in broad comedy, this will only elevate that leading lady image she’s been heading for. Will Kunis show up for Dior’s couture show next week in Paris or their ready to wear show in March? We have a feeling there’s a strong possibility. Also, next time she shows up at an awards show, you can bet it will be in Dior.

I think this endorsement deal is a smart one for both Dior and Mila – it’s a very good combination. Mila will hit a younger demographic for Dior, and the international ad campaign will help to launch Mila as a bigger international star. I wonder how much Mila got paid? I’m guessing… maybe $2 million?

After a lot of back-and-forth over the summer, Mila Kunis officially agreed to be Sgt. Scott Moore’s date at his Marine Corps Ball this weekend. Justin Timberlake had gotten an invitation from a female Marine, and he went last weekend. But Mila’s invite was the one to start this whole thing where Joe Citizens (or G.I. Joe Citizens) began posting cutesy videos asking out celebrities. Sgt. Moore was the ground-breaker, and this weekend he got his dream date. Mila Kunis arrived in Greenville, NC, and these are a few of the official Marine Corps photos of Mila and Scott Moore. CoughBANGScough. She apparently had a wonderful time on her magical Marine Corps Ball date:

Mila Kunis made good on the promise she made last summer when she attended a Marine Corps Ball in Greenville, N.C., on Friday with Sgt. Scott Moore.

According to local news station WNCT, the actress arrived to the venue just before 2:30 p.m., where she was quickly whisked away from the media. The news station caught a shot of Kunis, 28, being escorted from the Pitt-Greenville Airport to the Greenville Convention Center.

The two were “enjoying the night,” Marine spokesperson Capt. Scott Sasser told Access Hollwood.

“She’s going to get a chance to learn about the Marine Corps, and we’re all going to have a great time celebrating the Marine Corps birthday,” Sasser said prior to the ball, which marked 236 years of military history.

Moore asked Kunis out via YouTube after making a bet with a fellow Marine when he was serving his second combat deployment in Musa Qala, Afghanistan.

“I always thought I had a chance, and sometimes, that’s all you need,” he said in July of popping the question to his famous date.

And Kunis wasn’t the only one adding a little star power to a Marine Corps Ball. A week prior, Friends with Benefits costar Justin Timberlake had “one of the most moving evenings” of his life at another Marine Corps Ball in Richmond, Va., with combat instructor Kelsey De Santis.

“What I didn’t know was how moved I would be by the whole experience,” said Timberlake, 30, who also received an invite this past summer right after Kunis. “I felt so proud to be there. I felt like I was getting a chance to be among my heroes.”

I know many of you hate this whole thing where celebrities are put on the hot seat and asked out by members of the public, but I still kind of like it. Especially when it comes to members of our armed forces, who used to get a lot more attention from Hollywood. So few of these “big” celebrities do any kind of work with the USO, so it’s nice to see a young actress like Mila taking an interest in our military personnel. And for goodness sake, this is a good-publicity bonanza for Mila, and you can beat that there are hundreds of young actresses who wish that they had gotten invited to this event, so they could look this good.

I’ve lost track of how many celebrity women have been hacked. I’ve lost track of how many celebrity women take naked photos of themselves with their cell phones. I’ve never really understood why ladies do that, celebrity ladies, or non-celebrity ladies. I’d rather eat fire than take naked photos of myself, but I’m sure that’s just me. Anyway, after Scarlett Johansson’s naked photos two days ago, Mila Kunis is the latest victim of the so-called “celebrity-hacking ring” which makes it sound like there’s some organized group of hackers all working in concert to get grainy photos of celebrity boobs. Maybe there is, maybe there isn’t. To me, it feels like some of the hacking jobs have been done by professional hackers who know what they’re doing, and some “hacking” jobs are just from carelessness by celebrity women, or the women actively want those photos in the public sphere. To be fair, I don’t think ScarJo wanted the boob photos out, and Mila is so tightly organized, I haven’t seen any of her hacked photos on any site yet. TMZ has more on this Mila thing:

Mila Kunis is the latest celebrity whose cell phone has been hacked, and the hacker is leaking several pictures of a seductive Justin Timberlake … TMZ has learned.

Four pictures have been leaked, including two which show Justin — one, laying shirtless in a bed, and another in which J.T. is jokingly sporting a pair of pink panties over his head. Kunis is not featured in either of the pics.

There’s another photo of Mila in a bathtub, but all you see is her head. And then there’s another photo of a male which is explicit in nature, although his identity is a mystery.

There are also some texts and the hacker claims they reveal exchanges between Justin and Mila.

As we first reported, we’re told Scarlett Johansson is going to the FBI today after nude photos of her that were hacked from her cell phone were published this morning.

We could not reach Kunis for comment.

ScarJo contacted the FBI, and I suspect that Mila is probably working with the authorities too, which is why Mila’s photos have been relatively contained thus far. I guess it’s interesting to point out that once again, I was right – it looks like Mila and Justin were up to something at some point, probably in the Spring and Summer of this year. At some point, it looked less like Justin was begging for it and more like he had already hit it. Told ya so.

By the way, the hacked Mila photos sound a lot less offensive than her Terry Richardson photo shoot for GQ. I’m just sayin’.

Mila Kunis doesn’t even look like a real person in a few of the shots from her Glamour UK cover shoot. That’s a testament to the Photoshop, sure, but a good chunk of it is just MILA. She’s gorgeous. The kitty photo in particular is one of the loveliest, most striking images I’ve seen in a while. Mila took the Glamour cover because she’s promoting Friends With Benefits overseas, and probably hoping to find an international audience. Which shouldn’t be too difficult, considering she’s so hot when she’s speaking Russian. As for the interview – it’s kind of meh, but it’s not bad:

She shed an astonishing 20lbs from her already slim frame to play a ballerina in Oscar-winning movie Black Swan. And now Mila Kunis has admitted losing the weight has entirely changed her views on body image. The 27-year-old actress, a self-confessed ‘foodie’, said she was stunned with how much her body was capable of changing.

She told the new issue of Britain’s Glamour magazine: ‘I don’t think I ever fully realised what a human body is capable of doing. But I think I was also, in a beautiful way, incredibly naïve. I believed I could do anything. I never for one moment thought that I couldn’t do it. I believe in hard work. In self-drive and self-worth. I’m a huge foodie, I love food. But when people say, ‘I can’t lose weight’, no no no, you can. Your body can do everything and anything, you just have to want to do it.’

Mila, who was born in Chernivtsi in the Ukrainian SSR, also revealed she finds it difficult to accept that people find her attractive – despite the fact she won Spike TV’s Guys’ Choice award this summer for the Holy Grail of Hot. Talking about the award, Mila laughed: ‘It’s insane. Listen, I couldn’t be happier to get any of this, because I think it’s hysterical and it makes all my friends laugh. If somebody finds me attractive, God bless them, I think it’s fantastic.’

Mila added the reason she is able to stay so refreshingly grounded in the movie industry is because she stays positive. She said: ‘I’m in an industry based on rejection. On negativity and let-downs. People are rejected every single day purely based on opinion, about who’s a good actress, who’s a bad actress, who’s pretty, who’s ugly, who’s fat, who’s skinny. So why go there? You have to have a positive outlook. Otherwise you’re in a very dark place.’

Mila can next be seen in this summer’s hottest romcom, Friends With Benefits, alongside Justin Timberlake. But despite reports the actors are more than friends, Mila was quick to scotch the rumours. The pair raised eyebrows in June when she and Justin, 30, presented an award to Robert Pattinson by sending up rumours that they were a couple with Justin cupping Mila’s breasts as she gripped his crotch. They then furthered relationship reports when they were spotted on an apparent date in London last week.

However, Mila insisted the claim was ‘an unfortunate thing that comes with the circumstances, but there’s no truth to it whatsoever.’ She added: ‘Being single, I find myself not being able to be in a room with a man without, the next day, I’m dating that man. That happened for a solid six months (after Black Swan) when maybe – maybe! – I’d been in the same room.’

But Mila did say of her co-star: ‘He’s incredibly funny, we laughed a lot on set,’ saying of the MTV skit: ‘We thought it was hilarious and we were promoting an R-rated comedy.’

As for what she’s looking for in a man – it’s humour rather than looks. She said: ‘Humour is an amazing quality to have. I like sarcasm, satire, self-deprecating humour. But I also think there’s something to be said for not looking for anything and being pleasantly surprised.’

And despite the fact that Mila was catapulted into super-stardom through her role in Black Swan, she remains logical about how much her profession affects the rest of the world.

She explained: ‘No one’s curing cancer in this industry, remember? It’s not changing the world. It’s just entertainment, an art, a form of escapism. My friends and family are my number one thing in life, but you need a healthy balance. It’s not to say my goal in life is to have a family and kids, and let that be my number one priority either. This is a phenomenal job, but the most important lesson I’ve learnt is that you never want to let your only source of happiness come from something that’s so filled with uncertainty.’

Mila sounds very grounded and humble here, which gives me hope that she’s going to last a long time in the industry – she has the right kind of attitude, and she seems healthy in a population of very unhealthy people. Of course, I should note that this interview was probably done a few months ago, before Mila and JT had their date nights in London, and before I was convinced that they are, in fact, boning. JT just had to get his douche all over her. God knows who she is now.

The photos of Mila in the pink dress are from last week, at a photo call for Friends With Benefits in Germany. She looks pretty-ish in the pink dress, I think, but she looks pretty wasted in the London pics. She and JT are certainly spending a lot of time together on this promotional tour, right? You think she finally gave it up? I think she might have. JT’s been trying to get on her for more than a year, and something tells me that his on-again whatever with Jessica Biel is on HIS terms, not hers, which means that he can still do whoever and whatever he wants (kind of the same as before).

But here’s my real reason for writing this – Mila Kunis speaking Russian! While Mila and JT were promoting FWB in Moscow last week, Mila answered questions in her native tongue. She was born in the Ukraine, and she immigrated to America (with her parents) when she was a young girl. From the way she speaks Russian, my guess is that she grew up speaking it in her home, with her family. Oh, and Mila sounds so hardcore in Russian. Like she’s ready to shank a Russian journo over something:

Apparently, the Russian reporter was trying to ask JT why he was doing movies and not music these days. Mila jumped in and basically said, “Why movies? Why not? What kind of question is that? Why are you here?” Yeah… she’s probably sleeping with him.

Yesterday, we viewed Mila Kunis’s look for the Moscow premiere of Friends With Benefits. It was Elie Saab, and it was really, really bad. For some reason, our photo agency just released these photos from the earlier Moscow photo call. So, these are two days old, but I still wanted to talk about them. It’s good to see that Mila didn’t wander around Moscow looking like a busted figure skater the whole time! She actually chose a cute little Louis Vuitton Resort 2012 collection dress for the photo call, and it looks WAY better than the premiere look. I’m even getting shoe-lust with the blue shoes – those are great.

Yesterday, I talked about how I worried that Mila was being somehow tainted by Justin Timberlake’s well-documented douche. I still stand by it, but at least now I know that Mila doesn’t always look like hell standing next to Justin – he just rubs off on her sometimes. By the way, did you see the trailer for Justin’s new movie? It’s called In Time (eh) and it looks… er…mmm. It has a surprisingly good cast once you get past the two leads (Timberlake and Amanda Seyfried). Matt Bomer looks lovely and delicious, and it’s nice to see Vincent Kartheiser (from Mad Men) in a movie. Oh, and Alex Pettyfer is in it! I would wager money that Alex and Justin hated each other.

Here are some photos of Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis promoting their film Friends With Benefits in Moscow yesterday (…or today?). As Bedhead talked about on Monday, FWB didn’t really take the domestic box office by storm (opening weekend: $18 million-ish), so JT and Mila trotted out for some international hustling. The problem might be that neither one of them are huge draws for filmgoers, in America or abroad. The film actually got decent reviews, so it might just be that people are sick of the concept, which had already been done with Natalie Portman and Ashton Kutcher. Plus, people really think JT is a douche these days – read Lainey’s hilarious screed against Justin “NOT” Timberlake here.

Anyway, what’s kind of surprised me is how douchey I’m find Mila Kunis these days too. I think it’s douche-by-association from Justin, but whatever it is, Mila seems to be faltering. Her style is going to hell, her makeup is rough and she just looks tired and “over it.” For the Moscow premiere, Mila wore this Elie Saab gown that looks like a Marchesa knock-off. So cheesy and ice-skater-ish. Maybe it’s the jet lag. But I really think it’s just JT’s smarmy douche infecting her.
