Back in August, I was pretty sure that Miles Austin and Kim Kardashian had split up. There were rumors of the split going around the tabloids in the first week of August, and I bought them. Although Miles was and is a cutie (great eyes!), I don’t think Kim gave the relationship a chance, and I think she was just using Miles as a way to make Reggie Bush jealous, because she wasn’t (and perhaps still isn’t) over Reggie. Anyway, now Miles and Kim have officially split – it’s in People Magazine and everything. It just reads like they probably split up a while ago, and Kim just remembered she never confirmed it.

Barely more than a week after a source claimed that Kim Kardashian’s long-distance romance with her Dallas Cowboys beau, Miles Austin, was going “stronger than ever,” the couple have gone their separate ways.

“There’s no huge reason except their distance apart,” a source close to the couple tells PEOPLE, explaining that the decision was mutual. “With his season and Kim’s filming [Keeping Up with the Kardashians] it just slowly split them apart.”

The source adds: “They tried to keep it as low profile as possible when they were together. They were acting as if they were single or just having fun, but they never were – it was the real deal. They were always strong, but before Kim left for Europe they decided it’s not fair that they don’t get to spend more time together and ended it.”

Yeah… poor Miles. He seemed like a sweet guy, but Kim just wasn’t that into him. If she had wanted it to work, she would have been trotting him out for photo ops and made sure that they walked a million red carpets, like she did with Reggie. Poor Kim… she’s still not over Reggie at all, I think.

Kim Kardashian and Miles Austin have been dating for maybe two months, tops. It was like a full two weeks before Kim began trotting Miles out for photo-ops, but to his credit (or maybe not), Miles seemed nice, and like he was genuinely into Kim. Personally, I tended to think Kim was using Miles to try to make Reggie Bush jealous, because I think Kim is still hung up on Reggie. So, basically, she’s a dumb cat-face. Now E! has an interview with some Kardashian “source” who is setting the scene for Miles and Kim’s summer romance to be over:

Dallas Cowboys fans got quite the treat last weekend when Kim Kardashian showed up at training camp in San Antonio. But if they’re looking for the E! star to become a fixture on the sidelines this season, they might be disappointed.

A source in Texas exclusively tells E! News that Kim and Cowboys wide receiver Miles Austin have been “having fun this summer” but, contrary to how it might look when they’re about and about, “things are not super serious.”

Maybe Tony Romo told his teammate to leave well enough alone, at least until they make the playoffs. Or maybe Kim has just seen enough football for awhile. Either way, she has no plans to attend the team’s season opener in Dallas next month, our source says, saying, “They’re taking things slowly” and “are cooling off a little.”

Besides, the insider adds, “Kim wants to be single and date around.”

While those who are still scarred by the Jessica Simpson days are probably happy to hear this, there’s one pretty important guy who may be disappointed.

None other than Cowboys owner Jerry Jones called Kim a “good luck charm” after meeting her in San Antonio, a local tells E! News. And maybe Romo isn’t one for curses anyway. He and girlfriend Candice Crawford (Chace’s sister) joined Kim and Miles for dinner that night.

Hm… does it sound like Miles is “letting” Kim announce the breakup? Did he dump her? Because it honestly doesn’t sound like it. It sounds like Miles is truly into her, and she’s the one who is all “this is just for the summer” – like she’s in high school, at camp or something – Kim, FYI: you’re 29!

So, anyway, I think Kim and Miles are almost done. Showbiz Spy reported these quotes with a big dramatic “Kim Splits From Miles” headline, and nobody seems to be rolling it back. Dumb cat-face.

Here’s another piece to the ongoing Kim Kardashian-Reggie Bush-Amber Rose-Miles Austin breakup story that will NEVER END. Last week we finally got confirmation that Kanye West and Amber Rose had split up – unfortunately, the announcement came just days after Amber was spotted getting all up on Reggie Bush, who split from Kim Kardashian a few months ago. Now, the tabloids would have us believe that Kim and Reggie are still in the throes of their on-again-off-again relationship – just this week, Life & Style ran a cover about Kim’s “revenge” relationship with Miles Austin, which seems designed to make Reggie jealous – and according to L&S, it’s working, and Reggie wants to get back with Kim. That piece (and many others) seemed planted by Kim’s people, especially given the fact that Reggie seems to be all “Kim who?”

So Bossip pointed out that at Wednesday’s ESPYs, Reggie and Amber were all over each other, once again. Hollywood Life had the scoop:

Reggie flirt with Kanye West’s former girlfriend of two years, model Amber Rose, at the ESPY Awards after-party at Drai’s Hollywood nightclub at the W Hotel — and she even gave him a lap dance!

Reggie, 25, partied with his fellow New Orleans Saints before moving to a cabana with his coach and a few ESPN sportscasters, where he was approached by Amber, who didn’t leave his side for the rest of the night.

Amber Rose grabbed Reggie’s hand, stared deeply into his eyes and began to give the athlete a sensual lap dance. Although there was music playing in the background, Amber moved to her own beat and Reggie loved every second of it.

After dancing for more than five minutes, Amber slowly stood up and Reggie whispered something in her ear. Judging from their smiles, it was obvious the couple’s late-night rendezvous was going to continue late into the night.

I think Amber has found her new player. And to add insult to injury, Bossip pointed out that the ESPYs were where Reggie and Kim first met, and that Kim’s new guy Miles isn’t “big enough to receive any type of recognition at the Espy Awards… just yet!” Also: “Reggie goes from supposedly not being able to deal with Kim Kardashian’s sex tape to Kanye West’s 1st Year “Put On Foundation” Recipient Winner… Exactly, What is The Difference??? They both got paid for what they did in the past. Wonder what Reggie’s Mom has to say about all this???” Ha! I love Bossip.

Yesterday, we saw some new photos of Kim Kardashian with her new boyfriend Miles Austin (who is really cute, and he has beautiful eyes). I joked that the look in Kim’s f-cked up cat-eyes said “Oh my God, I hope Reggie sees this, I am so FAMOUS!” Well, I kind of called it. Life & Style’s cover story this week is all about how Reggie Bush has been getting jealous of Kim wandering around with her cat-face and her new man, and now Reggie wants her back. You can actually see the Kardashian’s PR goo dripping off this one, it’s kind of sad:

Life & Style has learned that since Reggie Bush and Kim Kardashian called it quits back in March, he’s been desperate to contact the reality star. “

Reggie realized Kim was the one and said he was finally ready to get married,” an insider tells Life & Style. “But after months of being single, Kim’s realized Reggie wasn’t the one, and now she’s moved on.”

In fact, Kim is happier than ever with new beau, Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Miles Austin.

“Ever since Reggie found out about Miles, he’s been going crazy sending Kim lots of nasty e-mails. She just ignores them,” the insider continues. “Reggie has unsuccessfully tried to reach out to Miles.”

Instead, Kim and Miles have been busy spending lots of time together and getting to know each other. He already has the seal of approval from the Kardashian clan and Life & Style has learned that the football star took Kim home to meet his relatives during their recent trip to the east coast.

“Miles took Kim to his hometown of Garfield, N.J., to meet his family,” says the insider. “They spent the night at the Jersey Shore with all his friends.”

Personally, this makes me think that Kim is still really hung up on Reggie, and not vice versa. I think Reggie is happy as can be that he’s free of Kim and all of the Kardashian bullsh-t. I also think he was cheating on her while she clung to the remnants of their relationship, and I think he moved on very quickly when they did call it quits. You know who I feel for? Miles Austin and his pretty eyes. Kim seems like she’s just using him to make Reggie jealous, and Miles actually seems into her. Dumb, dumb cat-face Kim.

Kim Kardashian has been dating this dude, Miles Austin, for a few weeks, and the roll-out has been gradual. It seems like Kim doesn’t want to come across like the kind of girl who just flips through the NFL calendar (are there such things?) and picks out the biggest, baldest, hottest dude. To be fair, I never really cared about Reggie Bush. But this Miles Austin is pretty cute. Anyway, Kim and Miles went to a “private party” for Serena Williams last night in LA. Can’t you tell how private it was? With all of the photos of Kim and Miles posing together? And Kim’s got that look in her eye – like, “Oh my God, I hope Reggie sees this, I am SO FAMOUS!”

In other Kim K. news, she gave a recent interview to OK! Magazine where she’s talking about her problematic love life and how her crushing fame and work schedule has been a hindrance: “I think that as much as you don’t want to think that, that’s probably why things haven’t worked out in the past because you have to just know that whoever you’re with has to accept your life, your lifestyle, everything about it.” She also talked about supporting Lindsay Lohan: “I just think that no matter what your friends go through you just have to support your friends, no matter what.” Bitch, please.
