Radar, Star Magazine and Us Weekly are all claiming the same thing this morning – Halle Berry and her prisoner/boyfriend Olivier Martinez are engaged! Halle and Olivier have been photographed frequently over the past month, to the point where I was wondering if some big announcement was about to come out. My suspicion was about Halle’s custody battle with Gabriel Aubry, though – I thought there was another shoe to drop with that subject. Turns out, Halle just wanted us to know that she and Olivier are loved up and engaged.

Third time’s the charm for Halle Berry! The 45-year-old actress and Olivier Martinez are engaged, a source confirms to the new Us Weekly, on stands Friday.

Over the holidays, Martinez, 46, proposed with an emerald-and-diamond ring from Gurhan.

Berry, who has a 3-year-old daughter, Nahla, with ex-boyfriend Gabriel Aubry, has been married twice before. (She dated model Aubry, 36, for nearly five years before splitting in April 2010.) She wed former baseball player David Justice in 1993 and divorced four years later. She then married R&B singer Eric Benet in 2001, only to separate in 2003 and finalize their divorce in 2005.

She first met French actor Martinez while working on the film Dark Tide; they stepped out as a couple in fall 2010. He previously dated Australian pop star Kylie Minogue for several years before splitting in 2007.

A source tells Us she “had given up on being married, but she trusts Olivier. He makes her feel safe. He’s a keeper!”

Radar’s report is pretty much the same, only they add the detail that Halle wants to have Olivier’s baby too. A source tells Star/Radar: “Halle is very serious about this marriage. She’s ready. Olivier has become her rock. Halle feels Olivier has made a connection and a commitment to her and her daughter. Halle would love to have more kids, but she knows it might be difficult because of her age and the fact that she’s diabetic. If they can’t conceive, they’d definitely consider adoption.”

Sure, it’s all happiness and glowing and planning a baby right now. But when they break up, Halle will let us know that Olivier was an abusive, racist monster. I’m just saying – Olivier should watch his ass, because Halle does not do breakups well.

Yesterday, as I was looking through these photos of Halle Berry and Nahla, I had a spooky moment of intuition. My thought: I don’t think Halle and Olivier Martinez are together anymore. He hasn’t been photographed in LA since the beginning of June, and I’m wondering if he hasn’t gone back to France or something. Maybe it’s nothing. Maybe I’m just creating controversy where none exists. But I just had a feeling that I thought I’d share. Incidentally, the film that Olivier and Halle did together in South Africa, Dark Tide, had a trailer-release a few weeks ago, but then the trailer was pulled off of most sites. It still doesn’t have a release date, as far as I can find. Is there some kind of conspiracy? Hmm…

Anyway, new photos of Halle and Nahla. Halle has been getting a lot time with Nahla in front of the paps lately, so it’s not like this photo set is anything new. What’s interesting, I suppose, is that both Halle and Gabriel Aubry seem to be doing a lot of candid photo ops with Nahla, especially since Halle is trying to end Gabriel’s parental and custodial rights.

Oh, and Halle’s stalker was finally arrested. He was all over the news over the weekend, hopping over her fence and trying to get to her. Anyway, they finally caught him, thank God. He’s being booked for felony stalking.

For the record, Halle Berry’s body is still amazing. Right? These are photos of Halle, with her French lover (and “bidness” associate) Olivier Martinez last night at the Silver Rose Awards. Halle was honored at the ceremony/fundraiser, which benefits Halle’s long-standing charitable cause, the Jenesse Center. The Jenesse Center helps victims of domestic violence through counseling, housing and education.

Apparently, “E” designed this dress (??)… I don’t really like it. Honestly, I would probably hate it on anyone else, but Halle comes close to making it work. The color looks good on her, the neckline is flattering, and the cut… well, Halle always knows how to wear dresses that cling to every curve. I think my problem is with the ruched sleeves? The sleeves look budget, and they bring down the dress. Beyond the fashion aspect, is this a good look for Halle? I’m talking about her face- while I’ve always thought Halle had rather sad eyes, for the past few events she’s attended, her eyes have been looking… I don’t know. Darker. Unstable. Like she’s a woman on the verge.

Olivier’s face looks like hell, but I like his suit, and the combo of a grey suit with a black shirt. I’m also kind of impressed with Olivier… you know they’re coming up on their one year anniversary very soon, right? I wonder when their film Dark Tide is coming out? Will they go much longer beyond the film’s promotion, or is this something deeper? Honestly, I’m starting to wonder if Olivier actually has feelings for Halle. He seems very happy to show up for her, and he seems like a *gasp* good boyfriend. I wonder what Halle will accuse him of when they do split?

In other Halle news, a few days ago it was announced that Halle was pulling out of a planned debut on Broadway in September. Halle had signed on for a production of The Mountaintop, but the show’s producers told the media that Halle had dropped out because of “child-custody issues.” Fun fact: The play is about the 24 hours before Martin Luther King’s assassination, and Samuel L. Jackson will be playing Dr. King. That’s an interesting choice, right? Halle was supposed to play a maid at the Lorraine Hotel, where Dr. King was assassinated.

Well, this was completely predictable. After all of the dramatics over the past month between Halle Berry and Gabriel Aubry, it seems Halle’s boyfriend of six months, Olivier Martinez, is starting to wonder… “Hey, this bitch is crazy. Maybe I shouldn’t be with her?” This comes on the heels of the Enquirer’s reporting that Halle wants Olivier to be Nahla’s “new daddy” – which Gabriel is understandably upset about.

“They have been fighting constantly,” a source told the Enquirer. “Halle’s mood swings are to blame. She is stressed about her conflict with Gabriel and has been taking it out on Olivier.”

Olivier cautioned Halle to handle the custody issue behind closed doors, but she proceeded to get in a public mud-slinging match with Gabriel.

“Olivier has seen a side of Halle he doesn’t like – and that has got him thinking she isn’t the one for him.”

This is what I’ve been wondering since the beginning of Halle’s Campaign of Destruction: What the hell does her new boyfriend think? While I don’t think Olivier is the brightest bulb, I think even the most dense of guys would see huge red flags all over this situation and try to exit stage left. I mean… this is how she’s treating her last significant other, the father of her child. How is she going to treat you when it’s all over? I should represent Halle’s side too. Obviously, Olivier is racist. And abusive. There.

One last story – In Touch Weekly has an interview with Halle’s “estranged half-sister” Renee Berry. Renee tells ITW that she would advise Halle to “Bitch, be cool” - that is, if they were speaking. Renee says: “You don’t get your wings by holding grudges… I hate that she’s going through with this custody battle. I’m sure it’s difficult for both her and Gabriel, but they should remember that the child comes first, and they should spare the child from being subjected to any of this.” Renee also says that Gabriel has a right to be a father to Nahla, and that Nahla has a right to have her dad in her life: “If he wants to be a father, he should be allowed to do so. After all, so many men in this country run away from their responsibilities.” Wow… a reasonable person with the last name “Berry”. Shocking!

How do I even summarize the current Halle Berry-Gabriel Aubry situation? How about this: CRAZY. If you’d like to read more, here’s your starter post. Anyway, as I mentioned yesterday, this custody drama is moving beyond TMZ and Radar, and several of this week’s tabloids have major stories about Halle and Gabe. Because of when tabloids go to print, I don’t think many of the stories are going to be about Halle’s comments on race and the “one drop” theory, although I doubt even that is enough to get Halle the cover of In Touch or Us Weekly next week. For some reason the big stories, like this drama and the Mel Gibson stuff, don’t make many cover stories. Theories as to why that is?

So this is the Enquirer’s take on the situation – according to their sources, it comes down to money (and Halle not wanting to pay Gabe anything) and Olivier Martinez (who Halle wants as Nahla’s new daddy):

The vicious custody battle between Halle Berry and her ex-boyfriend Gabriel Aubry comes down to two issues, say her pals. Gabriel wants Halle’s money, and Halle wants her new guy, Olivier Martinez, to play daddy to Nahla.

“Halle is out to protect her pocketbook, while Gabriel is trying to protect his turf as Nahla’s father,” an insider told The Enquirer.

Another source says, “This is going to be the custody battle of the century! Halle’s side is saying Gabriel called her the N-word while his friends are saying Halle was jealous of Gabe’s female pals. And the nastiness is just getting started!”

After Gabriel and Halle broke up, everything was cordial until Halle began dating her costar, Olivier Martinez. Gabriel flipped out, said the source: “He said he didn’t want Olivier around their daughter. Halle shot back that Gabriel didn’t have the right to say anything about who she sees when she’s footing all the bills for their daughter. She told Gabriel she was making a life with Olivier and she hoped Nahla saw him as a father.”

Just before Christmas, they got into a nasty argument about Martinez at Halle’s house.

“Nahla started crying and didn’t want to go with Gabriel,” said a friend. That’s when Gabriel went to court seeking joint custody.

“Halle believes that not only is Gabriel jealous she’s found a new man, he’s worried about the gravy train leaving the station,” maintained the source. “Halle says she’ll be damned if she’s supporting Gabriel. But Gabriel is determined not to lose his daughter.”

I think in Halle’s mind, Gabriel probably is a gold-digger and this is all about him trying to “get” something from her. I don’t know if Gabe is really that kind of guy though – in my opinion (and this is just my opinion), he could be a solid working model with a steady income, but he’s chosen to put his career on the backburner so that he can be a father to Nahla, and spend time with his daughter while Halle works wherever.

As for the Olivier Martinez… does anyone else wonder what’s going on in his head these days? He thought he was hooking up with some sexy, American A-lister and now he’s in the middle of all of this raging drama. Even if Halle wants Olivier to be Nahla’s “daddy” that might not be what Olivier wants, you know?

The break-up of Halle Berry and Gabriel Aubry is apparently very amicable; so amicable that Gabriel has given his blessing to Halle’s new boyfriend, Olivier Martinez.

The reason for Gab’s approval? Olivier speaks French.

“Gabriel has given the couple his blessing. He likes Olivier, and is glad that Halle is happy,” a pal of the model’s tells In Touch. French-Canadian Gabriel, 34, is especially pleased with Olivier’s interaction with his daughter, Nahla, 2. “He likes that Nahla will speak French with Olivier, because that was always important to him,” the friend adds. “His priority is and always has been his little girl.”

It is sweet that Gabriel is happy for Halle. With all the ugly splits going on, it’s nice to see two celebrities getting along, if only for the sake of their child.

However, it looks like Gabriel is also in denial. By focusing on Olivier’s French lessons, he can ignore the fact that his ex Halle is having wildly hot monkey sex with a notorious womanizer like Olivier. But don’t cry for Gabriel: he reportedly has already moved on to a younger model. No word on if the new girlfriend also speaks French.

Nahla was born in March of 2008. Halle and Gabriel announced their split in April of this year, and Halle was seen cuddling up to Olivier in August on the set of their film Dark Tide.

Okay, I was going to make this post about Jennifer Lopez, and then I saw these photos of Halle Berry. Halle, Jennifer and many other celebrities came out last night for The Carousel of Hope Ball. Halle looked amazing in this gorgeous Yves Saint Laurent, even more amazing than she’s recently been looking, in my opinion. What could be the reason for her excessive beauty and hotness? This guy:

DAMN HALLE. This isn’t just sex, y’all. Halle actually has feelings for her Frenchman. That sex must be so good, I can’t even imagine. There must be a lot of biting. And spanking. And handcuffs. I mean… THIS is the sex tape I want to see.

On to Jennifer Lopez. I actually think Jennifer looks really pretty here. Good hair, good makeup, the dress is… not my style, but I think she looks really sexy in it. Marc even looks nice. I’m glad he’s not wearing his sunglasses.

One question though: did Jennifer get something done to her lips? Or is that just a really great lipstick? It feels like her lips are slightly enlarged from collagen or something.

Other stars at the event – Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson. Don’t even ask me what Rita is wearing. I think Rita is so pretty in such a “normal” way, you know? She’s like your boyfriend’s totally attractive mother with great skin and you ask her what kind of night cream she uses. My point? Rita is way prettier than this outfit.

I realize many of you are totally over the Olivier Martinez-Halle Berry thing. After all, they’ve only been dating for a few months, and yet they’re already taking things to a very public level, being photographed all over Paris and now Los Angeles. These are new photos of them yesterday – Halle looks a little rough, in my opinion. Like she’s exhausted from all the hot French sex, probably. Girl needs to spend some time in bed, time that doesn’t involve doggy-style or nipple clamps (for him). Anyway, I know many are over it. I’m not. I think they’re really hot together. My guess is that Olivier got jealous and flew to LA so he could demand that Halle give up her other pieces.

My take? Olivier is more into Halle than she’s into him. In case you can’t tell from these grainy photos, Halle Berry is back in Paris, being loved up with her hot French lover, Olivier Martinez (a better photo of the two of them here). They’ve actually been spotted a few times in Paris and London over the past month. Halle has been all over the place, actually – from South Africa to France to England, then she was in New York for several events, and now back to Paris. Whirlwind love affair? Actually, I don’t know Olivier came with her NYC. She keeps her piece in Europe. Probably because she doesn’t want Olivier rocking the boat with her American pieces.

Weeks after being spotted smooching in the City of Light, the Dark Tide costars, both 44, have returned to the French capital, where they set off Tuesday for lunch at their favorite eatery, La Palette, in the St. Germain neighborhood.

Berry flew in from Los Angeles, where she took her daughter Nahla, 2, shopping at furniture store CB2 in West Hollywood on Sunday.

Martinez and Berry have been spotted getting amorous all over Europe. In additional to their cozy time in Paris, the two were seen grabbing coffee hand-in-hand in London.

I can already predict the tabloid stories: Halle determined to move to Paris to be with Olivier! Then: Gabriel Aubry tells Halle, “Not with my daughter!” And on and on. But I don’t think Halle is going to move to Paris for her piece. She might make him move to LA, though. I have heard that Olivier moved to LA a few years ago, but I really do think he moved back to Paris when he was dating Elsa Pataky. We’ll see. I’m just glad to see that even Halle Berry isn’t above traveling for c-ck.
