Pauly Shore countersues Wes Craven; also Pauly Shore still alive

I love neighbor feuds. Especially when they’re between famous people. When regular neighbors have feuds, it’s more along the lines of “Stop planting those petunias eight inches onto MY side of the property line!” When celebrity neighbors have feuds, it escalates to “How dare you put your infinity pool nine feet onto my side of the property line!” I’m pretty sure the only thing that could possibly make a regular celebrity feud even more awesome is if it features a has-been, c-list actor who everyone thought was dead. And by everyone I mean me. That’s right, I could only be talking about Pauly Shore, star of my favorite lame movie ever, “Biodome.” And since I just watched it the other night, it seems especially appropriate to comment on Shore’s feud with neighbor Wes Craven. Pauly claims that Wes Craven didn’t properly maintain his property, which caused a landslide onto Shore’s property. This is so much less glamorous than an infinity pool feud.

Shore claimed that a landslide on his Hollywood Hills property in December 2006 was caused by Craven’s failure to properly maintain vegetation and landscaping on a hillside on his property, according to a lawsuit filed Monday in Superior Court. The comedian also alleged that Craven, the director of “A Nightmare on Elm Street” and the “Scream” series, did not eradicate rodents burrowing in the hill and made improvements on his property that “changed the geology, topography and drainage,” according to the lawsuit.

A call to Craven’s attorney Wednesday was not returned. Shore’s allegations are part of a countersuit in response to a suit filed on behalf of Craven last June. Craven alleged that Shore upgraded his home with a pool, spa, landscaping and other improvements that caused water to seep down a slope and damage his property. Both suits seek unspecified damages and a judgment determining who should be held responsible.

[From the Huffington Post]

Something tells me this should end with a good old fashioned slap fight. Jokes aside, I can’t imagine how frustrating it must be to have a feud with your neighbor. You should be able to come home and get away from crap like that. It sounds like this has been a long-running problem, and like both parties have contributed to the problem. Although I have to say that Pauly Shore’s home’s problem of a pool, spa, and landscaping sounds a lot better than Craven’s home’s problem of rodents. I would definitely take a spa over a rat any day. Whoever thought Pauly Shore would come off as classier than someone else?

Pauly Shore faked that heckler punch

The Odessa, TX police department got annoyed with all the news outlets contacting them about Pauly Shore getting punched on stage, and put out a press release stating the whole thing was staged. We published the video of the incident here, and Pauly looks genuinely scared. He must be a better actor than everyone thought, because the Odessa police say the incident was a put-on and they were contacted about it beforehand.

The Odessa, Texas Police Department claims that an officer “had met with Mr. Shore prior to his set, and was asked to participate in the skit. The officer stated that the skit went as designed and that Shore was not injured in the designed skit.”

The incident, which took place during a comedy show in Odessa, took the Internet by storm after video was released on the Internet.

It all went down after a female heckler started razzing Shore during the middle of his set. According to witnesses, Shore fired back, “Shut up bitch.” That’s when the woman’s massive boyfriend stepped in.

The man began defending his girlfriend and other people Shore allegedly picked on during the performance, saying “Hey, F*** you, he paid to be here just like the rest of us.” Shore responded, “Well, first off, shut the f*** up f***ing hoss.”

Then, all hell broke loose.

The man rushed onto the stage, despite several desperate pleas from Shore to leave him alone. Shore makes a last ditch effort to apologize before the man reaches back and plants one right on Pauly’s kisser, knocking the comedian to the floor. Clutching his face, Pauly grabs the mic and calls the crowd “white trash,” before walking off the stage.

Pauly wanted to get some press again, and he did. He even threw in a little racism of his own to add to the mix. The police press release states that Pauly signed autographs after the skit and posed for pictures with the guy he arranged to have punch him.

Kudos to commentors like Clarimonde and Gigohead who thought it was fake. We bought it and so did a lot of other bloggers.

Video of Pauly Shore getting punched out by a heckler

Pauly Shore was doing his comedy routine on stage at the 8th Street Comedy Club in Odessa, Texas over the weekend when he had to ask some people to stop talking. He stuck to the issue of the hecklers interrupting him, and didn’t get sidetracked and make stupid attacks on them personally like another washed up star from the 90s who’s on the comedy circuit. He just said that they should shut the fuck up.

A big ‘ol man in a giant hat took offense and got up on stage and popped him one, and the whole thing was caught on tape. There’s lots of swearing so it’s NSFW

He called the man white trash afterwards and walked off stage once the security took him away. The guy never should have been allowed to get on stage in the first place. It doesn’t look like Pauly is going back to Odessa any time soon.

Video found through digg on redban.com.

Pauly Shore amazes everyone by declaring that he dated Kylie Minogue

Pauly Shore and Kylie Minogue dated for a short time after they met on the set of his 1997 movie, Biodome, which Minogue has called her “worst career move.” The two didn’t last once Minogue figured out who Shore was and went back to England, and Shore is still crying into his beer over it:

Shore says, “I fell in love with her… big time. I didn’t know who she was and she didn’t know who I was and we just had a great time together. I just fell in love with her personality. I’m like, ‘Oh my God, this girl’s adorable.’”

The couple spent a romantic holiday in the Bahamas together, and then Shore took the singer to Las Vegas for the first time. He adds, “She loved it because it was so cheesy. She was like laughing at the whole thing.”

The couple tried to maintain their love affair, but distance eventually drove them apart. Shore says, “She was over (in London) and I was over in Los Angeles and I guess she started dating some other guy and broke my heart.”

Even though it still breaks his heart, Pauly should be commended for being able to talk about it nine years later, just like Angelina Jolie’s ex, Jenny Shimizu.

Minogue is doing well as she recovers from breast cancer. She has written a comeback album called “Lessons” that should be out in 2007. She also plans to sing a duet with her boyfriend Olivier Martinez.

Shore had somewhat of a comeback with the indie flick “Pauly Shore is Dead” that came out in 2004, and a 2005 TBS reality show, Minding the Store that centered around Shore trying to run his family’s comedy club.

Here is Minogue vacationing in France. [via] The inset picture is a small screencap from Biodome in which Shore’s character grabs Minogue’s butt. Shore is kissing Joey Lauren Adams in other picture, but it’s so small that it’s hard to tell. Shore is playing his 90s typecast slacker role while Minogue is a foreign scientist on the film. We’re sorry for knowing this. Minogue was not in Son in Law, so obviously we just put her head on top of another actress’ body. Screencap [via]
