Mischa Barton, the new face of Bebe in ads that are tamer than the hype would lead you to expect, was snapped outside her trailer playing with her dog. She’s probably on the set of “The OC,” although there isn’t a description to go along with the photos.
Barton is reportedly single after ending her on-again off-again relationship with Whitestarr frontman Cisco Adler for good last week.
We were wrong yesterday when we said that Hillary Swank and Chad Lowe were probably over. Guess they just don’t have photographers following them around everywhere like other celebrities. In Touch reports that the cute couple are renewing their vows:
Their second wedding will be a formal affair and Hilary is already shopping for an elegant bridal gown.
“Getting separated was the best thing Hilary and Chad have ever done for their marriage,” their pal says. “It made them realize that they were meant to be together.”
That is good news and we wish them all the best. Guess those pets were enough to cement their relationship after all. In related news, Mike Myers and his estranged wife also share custody of their dogs.
We think Jake’s publicist leaked this story, but a friend of Jake Gyllenhaal and Kirsten Dunst says that joint ownership of two dogs they purchased during their relationship has caused them to consider reuniting:
“Maybe because of that, they haven’t really moved on from each other so it’s got to the point where they both feel maybe they should be together.
“They enjoy the same things and are under the same pressures from their work so they might just make it work after all.”
This is a pretty speculative quote and the “pal” doesn’t sound so sure about it. It’s cute that Kristin and Jake both feel responsible for the pooches. Unlike Sienna Miller, they both must love their pets and take the time needed to care for them. Hillary Swank and Chad Lowe were said to have reunited because of their pets, but their relationship does not seem to have lasted judging from pictures of Swank hiding while out with another man. We don’t think two dogs are enough to bring Kirsten and Jake back together, either.

Eva “Desperate Housewives” Longoria and her poodle stand beside trash cans outside their Hollywood home….
Among the headlines: “My Dog Has PMS.” Actress Jennifer Love Hewitt and her relationship with Charlie–not Sheen, but her King Charles Cavalier Spaniel–are profiled.
Then there’s the wedding photo spread “Bow Vows,” featuring assorted Chihuahuas dressed to the nines. One wears a wedding dress that sells for a mere $30, but then there is the $110 necklace and the $350 wedding cake from Three Dog Bakery.
18 year-old British singer Josh Stone is voted the best celebrity dog owner, while Paris Hilton is questioned for replacing her poor Chihuahua.
Plenty of ads for upscale dog goods are featured in the new magazine. Celebrities do a good job at making the rest of us feel inaquate. Now our pets are uglier with cheaper accessories too!
