Michelle Pfeiffer on the botox & plastic surgery epidemic: “It’s kind of sad”

pfiefferelle1

Elle magazine has compiled a collection of quotes from its “Women In Hollywood 2011″ feature, which includes the above photos of an ethereal looking Michelle Pfeiffer wearing a 1950s vintage James Galanos dress. Yes, the lighting is very kind, and the greyscale adds to that effect, but that doesn’t take away from the fact that Pfieffer is 53-years-old and looks positively remarkable as such.

Pfieffer herself has been the subject of plastic surgery rumors, and if you look at this photo comparison, which alleges that Michelle has had some work done on her face, I think it’s fairly obvious that she’s had a nose job. As to the cheek implant claim, it’s probably more of a case of weight loss and makeup. Whatever the case, she’s likely just had a few tweaks done like everyone else in Hollywood and doesn’t come close to being a surgery addict or a botox monster. On that topic, Pfieffer has a few choice words for Elle:

On Playing Al Pacino’s trophy wife in Scarface: I was terrified the whole time. I was so out of my league with all of these seasoned actors. Here I was, this little waify thing in these little flimsy clothes, and who was I? I was the girl from Grease 2!

On Plastic Surgery: I’m all for a little something here and there-fine. It doesn’t matter to me if people have plastic surgery or they don’t, or if they do Botox. But when people don’t look like themselves anymore, that’s when you kind of go, “Oooh,” and it’s kind of sad. It’s uncomfortable for us, but if they’re happy with what they see in the mirror, does it matter?

[From Elle]

She’s absolutely correct on cosmetic enhancement really only mattering when people no longer look like their former selves. Like Megan Fox, Heidi Montag, and Nicole Kidman, among many others. Pfieffer also takes great care to not sound too judgy (although it’s easy to take her words out of context) about the topic either because, clearly, she’s not one-hundred percent natural herself. Still, she’s pretty damn close, right?

Here’s some photos from the set of New Year’s Eve in February, where Michelle shares a scene with (gulp) Zac Efron:

Kim Kardashian admits she doesn’t need botox, but she’s just shilling something

kimfreaky
Puffy cat-faced Kim Kardashian, who’s had way more done to her face than just Botox, and way more Botox than just the single series of shots she aired on her show, has come out to say that she knows she didn’t need Botox at the supposed age of 29. She also defended her dermatologist and said he did the injections correctly. Then she went on to plug some skincare product, the ads for which make her look like a wax figure parody of bad plastic surgery.

I’ve been getting lots of emails and comments regarding the botox episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians so I wanted to address this today to clear some things up.

On the show you saw I had some bruising around my eyes after the procedure. In no way was Dr. Kassabian at fault, and he had warned me about the side effects, as all good surgeon’s do, but because this was the first time I had done anything like this, I freaked out on the episode when I noticed the bruising.

I am not against botox, and I would never judge anyone else for getting any kind of surgical or non surgical procedure, but I think when you’re young there are other ways you can look after your skin, and some amazing products on the market, like Fusion Beauty’s Illumifill, that help keep you looking young and beautiful. Botox just wasn’t necessary for me at this age.

Remember, if you are going to get any sort of cosmetic work done, make sure you are well informed of all the side-effects. You can never be too safe.

[From Kim Kardshian's blog via People]

I get the urge to get something done, I really do, but there comes a point when you need to stop and Kim passed that point ages ago. She looks freakish and there is way more going on with her face than some Botox. Here’s a before and after for Kim that doesn’t even capture what she’s done to her face.

kimbeforeafter1

So Kim is bringing up the Botox controversy, not because she’s ashamed of how it turned out or realizes it was a mistake, but because she has a product to promote and doesn’t want to piss off the guy who does all her face work. Maybe she’s going to stop doing it and let her face try and settle a little, but I doubt it. I think she likes looking like a mannequin and thinks she’s gorgeous.

Christie Brinkley and Alexa Ray Joel’s mother and daughter plastic surgery

Christie and Alexa “before” – in 2008

Star Magazine has before and after photos of former supermodel Christie Brinkley and her daughter Alex Ray Joel, 24, that show that both of them had plastic surgery recently. Alexa seems to have had a nose job, according to the photo evidence and an expert quoted by Star. Christie, 56, has opted for some kind of face lift. I think both Christie and Alexa looked better before, although it’s kind of a toss up with Alexa as she’s still gorgeous with an obviously tapered nose. Christie is looking too tightly pulled and she’s starting to get that chipmunk cheek artificial look that’s a dead giveaway for too much work. She should have left well enough alone and is going to have to watch it. Here’s Star’s teaser report on this story. They also have a better before and after picture than the one we cobbled together.

Some mothers and daughters bond over shopping. For Christie Brinkley and Alexa Ray Joel, it’s plastic surgery! In the May 10 issue of Star, we exclusively reveal that the supermodel and her singer daughter, whose dad is Billy Joel, both went under the knife earlier this month — one day apart — at Manhattan’s Lenox Hill Hospital.

What was on the makeover menu? A mini face-lift for Christie and a nose job for Alexa, which — according to NYC-based plastic surgeon Dr. Norman M. Rowe — set them back about $60,000!

It was money well spent, a source tells Star. “Both Alexa and Christie are so happy.”

And just weeks after their respective surgeries, Christie and Alexa showed off their new looks when they attended the premiere of Last Play at Shea — to support Billy — at the Tribeca Film Festival in NYC on Sunday.

Pick up the new Star today for the full story about Christie and Alexa Ray’s mother/daughter plastic surgeries. Plus: Read our six-page spread — Nips, Tucks & Lies — about plastic surgery in Hollywood with before and after pix of celebs like Christina Aguilera, Gwen Stefani and Blake Lively.

[From Star Magazine's website]

I personally don’t think it’s so strange that a mom and daughter had plastic surgery just a day apart. My mom had a face lift and I could see getting some work done with her. (I haven’t had anything done yet, but am not ruling it out and will probably try Botox soon.) I know that will sound insane to many of you, and it’s probably just a sign of the times. On one hand I’m wary of looking freaky like this but on the other side I have to admit I’m considering a face lift when the time comes.

People are getting plastic surgery with mixed results. You really have to opt for minor procedures and make sure you don’t go overboard, because it’s easy to ruin your looks and end up much worse than you were before. Even with just one or two seemingly small surgeries some people end up unrecognizable. Just look at Jennifer Grey.

Does anyone like Christie’s new look better than her old one? There’s something not-quite-human about her new look and she’s starting to resemble a plastic doll. Maybe it will settle for her.

Update: Alexa admits to People that she had her nose done, and says that she’s wanted it done for a long time. I like how candid she is and how she sounds confident about it.

Alexa Ray tells PEOPLE she’s feeling much better–inside and out. The 24-year-old singer underwent rhinoplasty earlier this month, and says she’s overjoyed by the results. “I was thinking about getting this for years,” says Joel. Her nose, she adds, “always bothered me a little bit. I was self-conscious of pictures taken from the side. To some people that’s vain, but at the end of the day, we all want to feel pretty.” But the daughter of Billy Joel and Christie Brinkley says she’s done with plastic surgery. Says Joel, “Would I do anything else to my body? No. It’s not ten procedures like Heidi Montag. For me, that’s a little extreme, but to each her own.” As for the timing of the surgery–just four months after her overdose scare following a breakup–Joel says this was the right time for her. “Would it have been smart to get this procedure last year?” she asks. “No. I didn’t know who I was.” And now? “I feel really good.”

Heidi Montag’s mom tells her to get psychological help

The new, and hopefully last, season of The Hills premieres on Tuesday and it marks the first season with Heidi Montag’s new face and “upgraded” body. US Weekly has a clip from the first episode in which Heidi and her family discuss her plastic surgery. We’ve already heard that Heidi’s mom was “horrified” when first confronted with the extent of her 23 year-old daughter’s surgical alterations. In this clip, Heidi and her family are having dinner while they ask her about her motivation for getting so much work done. Heidi explains that she just wanted to be happy and her mother asked her if she ever considered going to a psychologist instead of a plastic surgeon. A little later, Heidi tries to take a bite of a hamburger and admits that her jaw is so sore that she can barely chew it. I don’t think US Weekly’s recap does justice to the exchange between Heidi and her family, so here’s what they said, which is actually juicier than US makes it out to be.

Heidi’s sister: You were always so outgoing and so confident… I was envious of the confidence you had. I don’t know what happened.

Heidi: I just wanted to be happier and couldn’t fix who I was being upset with how I looked on the outside.

Heidi’s mom: I would like to see the choice made to deal with the insecurity on a psychological level.

Heidi: That’s great for you. You live in the mountains. You don’t live where I live.

Heidi’s Mom: Does that make a difference?

Heidi: Of course it does.

Heidi’s mom: So should you not live in that area?

Heidi: I don’t want to get into this right now.

Heidi’s mom: I’m just having a mature, adult conversation with a brilliant, articulate woman. With a very sore jaw.

[Heidi's eating]

Heidi’s sister: How’s that burger?

Heidi: I can’t really chew it.

Heidi’s mom: You want me to put it in a blender for you?

[From clip from The Hills' premiere, airing 4-27-10]

It’s really amusing that Heidi can’t chew at all, but I think the real take away from this brief clip is how Heidi’s mom nails the problem by telling her daughter to deal with the issue psychologically, not superficially. It’s too late now, though. Heidi will have to live with that new face for the rest of her life while her unhappiness may have only lasted a few months.

Although we’ve heard that this is the final season of The Hills it may not be. Heidi’s costar Kristin Cavallari said the show might be renewed and that she would be on board if that happened. “There’s a possibility of them ordering 12 more episodes. I would like to do it.” I doubt Heidi will be back. She’s already (allegedly) threatening to sue the series’ creator for sexual harassment and her husband is off. Cavallari confirmed that “Spencer got kicked off the show like a month and a half ago” and added that “he’s done.” Now Heidi can concentrate on that career as a female action star she’s been tweeting about.

Jane Fonda says she’s not proud of her plastic surgery

Vanity Fair Oscar Party 2010 - Los Angeles
This is Fonda after the latest round of surgery

In February, Jane Fonda admitted to having plastic surgery on her eyes, chin and neck. She’d previously vowed not to have any more work done (it’s unclear but I think she had a face lift years prior) but said she got this latest round because “I got tired of not looking like how I feel… I wanted a more refined chin line like I used to have so I changed my mind.” Fonda looks like a different person to me, and while I understand the urge to want to look like you feel it’s one you have to balance with an understanding of the capabilities of plastic surgery. One round can yield decent results, but more than that can result in a mask-like look and permanently freaky features.

The 72 year-old actress was on Larry King earlier this week, and she explained that she’s not proud of her surgery but she had things she wanted to change. Her face looks better to me now than in the grainy photographs she put up on Twitter after the surgery. It probably “settled” into the surgery and she’s no longer swollen. She has crow’s feet, but still looks strange and artificial, though, when compared to how she looked before. On Larry King Fonda kind of played down her surgery as if it wasn’t a big deal. At least she’s still admitting to it and isn’t acting as if her unnaturally smooth tight look is due to some nonexistent genetic miracle.

Jane Fonda “caved” in to getting plastic surgery after vowing in 2000 she would not get any more work done, she told Larry King Monday night.

“If I was really brave, I would have not,” she said. “I vowed I wouldn’t–I did, and I don’t feel proud of it.”

Fonda, 72, has been upfront about the procedures she had done on her jawline and eye bags in February. She told Larry King she purposely left some of her wrinkles in place.

“I like my crow’s feet and I like my little laugh lines,” she said. “It was just the little jowls away, that’s all.

“I didn’t want to lie about it. I’m writing a book about getting older, so I had to admit it. I feel so good. I’m so happy.”

[From Huffington Post]

I like how Fonda explained it, “I feel so good, I’m so happy. I didn’t want to look kind of tired and jowly anymore.” She also said she didn’t “do a lot. I don’t look weird.” She doesn’t look that weird, but it’s not like you can’t tell she had something done. I’m kind of torn about this. On one hand I’m for plastic surgery and think that it’s a personal choice. Not everyone who does it is an insecure wreck like Heidi Montag who only sees minor barely noticeable flaws. Not everyone ends up looking like a warped wax version of themselves. On the other hand when older outspoken feminists like Fonda get work done and then act like it’s no biggie it makes me feel crappy inside, like I’ll have to make those kind of decisions in 40 years too.

Also Fonda after – not a flattering pic

Dolly Parton would have had plastic surgery at Heidi Montag’s age

Dolly Parton - 'Trinkets & Treasures' Store Opening
Country legend Dolly Parton was interviewed on Access Hollywood yesterday. When asked what she thought of 23 year-old reality star Heidi Montag’s extensive plastic surgery, she said with typical frankness “I’d probably have done it at that age. If I could afford it and thought I’d needed it.” It’s obvious that Parton has had a lot of work done on her face (she told Oprah in 2003 “If I have one more facelift, I’ll have a beard!”) but I always assumed her famous boobs were hers. She was blessed with large natural boobs but she also had a lift as well as implants and she’ll tell you about it.

“When you saw somebody like a Heidi Montag, at the age of 23, getting ten procedures in one day, did you ever think, ‘Oh my gosh! This is hitting the girls way too young?’” Shaun asked.

“Oh, I would have probably done it when I was that age if I could have afforded it and thought I needed it,” Dolly said.

There was no judgment coming from Dolly who is as open as it gets when it comes to going under the knife.

“I think that’s one of the things that people like about you, is that you are so honest about everything,” Shaun said.

“Well, people want to know,” Dolly said. “If you ask me about it, I’d rather tell you…. I’d rather you think I had plastic surgery than to think I was a liar.”…

“Who will play Dolly in the big screen version?” Shaun asked.

“I don’t know that yet,” Dolly said. “We’re kind of looking, but we need to go back to that plastic surgery thing. We’ll have to get a girl that can get her a really big ol’ boob job won’t we now?!”

[From Access Hollywood, link has automatic video]

Dolly is awesome, but she’s 64 and she does look kind of freakish. Honestly I thought she was older because she has that plastic surgery mask that automatically ages a person. There are ways to get plastic surgery and look refreshed without looking entirely fake, but Parton loves her over-the-top look and she’s sticking with it. Dolly is promoting a new memorabilia store in Nashville called “Dolly Parton’s Trinkets And Treasures.” There were plenty of people at the grand opening dressed up like her, and she joked that “I’m easy to do. Cheap wig, cheap bra, push up bra… And lots of makeup.”

Vienna of ‘Bachelor’ plans plastic surgery to get famous like Heidi Montag

Montblanc Charity Cocktail Hosted By The Weinstein Company To Benefit UNICEF - Red Carpet
We haven’t heard much lately about Bachelor Jake and his intended bride, Vienna, and that’s a good thing. I’m anticipating that the next we’ll hear of them they’ll have broken up and Jake will be hooking up with some random C-lister while Vienna grants tell-alls to whichever gossip rags will have her. In Touch has a story this week that Vienna plans on capitalizing on her brief glint of fame the Heidi Montag way – by getting even more plastic surgery and hoping her new alien-like features grant her screen time. Vienna has already had a boob job, having cleaned out her ex husband’s savings while he was fighting in Iraq to pay for it. She wants a revision, along with a nose job and lipo, according to sources quoted in In Touch. Vienna is also said to be insecure and is hoping that getting all that work done will keep her in Jake’s good graces. Good luck with that one.

An insider tells In Touch Vienna wants to get plastic surgery to make sure she’s first choice on Jake’s dance card!

Vienna, 23, reportedly underwent a breast augmentation a few years ago, but according to the insider, she’s planning a huge overhaul, which now includes a nose job, another boob job and liposuction. One reason for taking such drastic measures so soon is that when she saw the pictures of herself, “She was secretly horrified,” explains the insider. “She was disappointed in her appearance and that was one of the things that prompted this desire to have surgery.”

Although Vienna’s rep denies the story, the insider adds that Vienna’s so serious about changing her look that she’s already dropping hints that she wants to work with Dr. Frank Ryan, the plastic surgeon who performed 10 extreme surgeries in one day on the Hills star Heidi Montag. “Vienna is hoping to score surgeries for free and, like Heidi, document her transformation in a magazine, the insider explains.

And, like Heidi, the insider notes, Vienna knows that her relationship – and her looks – will keep her in the spotlight. “She wants to be a star and she’s turning to extensive plastic surgery to help transform her into the perfect 10,” explains the insider. “Vienna went on The Bachelor to be a star, and she’s not about to lose the focus of that dream.”

[From In Touch print edition, March 29, 2010]

We all saw how well that worked out for Heidi. She’s a joke and she looks painfully freaky. Still, she got a job on an Adam Sandler movie and there have to be some idiotic women, like Vienna, that see her as an inspiration. It’s a real commentary on society when fools like Vienna, famous for being on a dating show, get a bunch of feature-altering irreversible surgery at a young age in a desperate bid for a week’s worth of tabloid supermarket coverage. She’ll have to live with that face for the rest of her life. Maybe she won’t go as far as Heidi did, but with that same surgeon it’s a definite concern.

Mackenzie Phillips reveals new face, chiclet teeth, says incest wasn’t consensual

Former child star Mackenzie Phillips made plenty of headlines last year when she came out with the news that she had an over 10 year incestual relationship with her father that she deemed “consensual”. Phillips, now 50, revealed the disturbing story last September that she had a relationship with her now-deceased biological father, John Phillips of the Mamas and the Papas, that started when she was just 19 and continued until she was 29. There was a lot of drugs involved and Mackenzie was an addict up until recently. She was promoting a book when she dropped this news andmany people accused her of using the shocking story to make money. Others praised Mackenzie for coming out with the uncomfortable details of a personal tragedy in a way that might help other victims of incest.

mackenzie1
Now Mackenzie is talking again, and I’m kind of relieved that it took her five months to come back on the scene. She may have been waiting for all of her plastic surgery and dental work to get completed, though. The woman has a completely new face that cost $50,000 and her teeth are capped so much that she had trouble closing her mouth. She was on Good Morning America today to clear the air on her classification of the incest as “consensual,” saying that she’s since been schooled by other victims that there is no such thing as consensual incest, no matter your age. She also discussed her sister Chynna Phillips’s recent stint in rehab for anxiety, and said it may be connected to her revelations last year. Chynna was one of the only family members to publicly support Mackenzie after she went public with the story.

mackenzie2

Mackenzie Phillips showed off her new look Wednesday on Good Morning America, and the ex-One Day at a Time actress did not hold back as usual, talking about her recent surgical makeover, the backlash she received after her incest revelation last year and her sister Chynna’s recent woes.

RadarOnline.com has the clip of Phillips — sporting $50,000 of Botox, Restylane, laser treatments, dental upgrades and hair extensions — saying she has “no desire to erase anything” and that she’s “really happy.”

Phillips, 50, also touched on the controversial confession she made in her 2009 book, High on Arrival, that her father John Phillips molested her at 18.

“I’ve learned from thousands of survivors across several continents… that there is no such thing as consensual incest, because of the inherent power,” she said. “I do not believe [my father] had malicious intent… I believe he was a man who was ravaged by drugs and alcohol.”

She said she wouldn’t connect the dots between her revelations and the recent problems of her sister Chynna, who was entered into a rehab program last month.

“I would stop short of saying that this is why Chynna ended up in rehab for anxiety. I love Chynna. And I support her recovery as she supports mine,” she said.

[From Radar Online]

Mackenzie and her giant teeth also addressed the issue of a potential “curse of the child star” in the wake of Corey Haim’s untimely death. She said she didn’t think there was a curse because “any cross section of a demographic whether it be child stars or kids who live in Miami… I think there are a lot of things push a lot of people for a lot of reasons to take a lot of drugs.”

mackenzie3
When asked why she didn’t say silent, Mackenzie said “right now, a child is being raped.” She also started crying. My heart goes out to her and you can see that she’s trying to move on with her life and get past her years of drug abuse. If she feels better having new teeth, hair and a new face then good for her. I think she looked better before, but getting plastic surgery is a more positive coping response then shooting up. Her face looks weird but it’s not as jacked as it could be.

More of Mackenzie’s interview will be in this week’s In Touch.

Heidi Montag has a crush on her plastic surgeon

heidi11
This week’s Star Magazine has an article about how Heidi Montag is fixated on her plastic surgeon, an attractive 49 year-old guy who lacks the scruples to realize that it’s not entirely ethical to perform 10 elective procedures at one time on a perfectly attractive 23 year-old woman. Is this like how people fall in love with their psychologists? In Heidi’s case, she could be transferring her love of her new body to the man who made it possible. Or something. Maybe she’s just a fool. Surely the guy is more deserving than her husband, though:

heidi21

“Heidi has known Dr. Ryan for years, but lately she’s totally crushing on him and comes up with any excuse she can to stop by his office,” dishes an insider. “She makes appointments for the most ridiculous things and stays as long as possible…”

While [Heidi's] surgeries require lots of attentive medical follow-up, Spencer, 26, got a shocking wake-up call when he realized that his 23-year-old wife of less than a year is mesmerized by her handsome surgeon!…

“Heidi has found a lot to be attracted to in Dr. Ryan,” says the insider, noting the 49-year-old is a multi-millionaire with a highly respected practice…

“Let’s put it this way,” says another source. “Spencer is fast food. Dr. Ryan is the Ritz. Spencer has to scrounge around for money, and as for his reputation? Well, you know. Dr. Ryan is already filthy rich and is considered a genuinely caring person.” The surgeon is beloved for his charity work, especially the non-profit he founded, Malibu’s Bony Pony Ranch Foundation, which helps need, inner-city kids.

[From Star Magazine, print edition, March 8, 2010]

Isn’t that a rather questionable name for a children’s charity: Malibu’s Bony Pony Ranch? I know I should be ashamed for thinking that, but couldn’t he have come up with a better name? Star goes on to claim that Heidi and Dr. Ryan had dinner at that Bony Pony Ranch in June. The source spills “Heidi wanted the time alone with Dr. Ryan, and ever since she’s babbling about how great he is. She sounds like a crushing teen.” They say that Heidi “doesn’t have a prayer” with Dr. Ryan, though.

Maybe Heidi realizes that if she gets Dr. Ryan to fall in love with the fem-bot he created, she’ll get free upgrades for the rest of her shelf life. It’s better than hustling for cash by exaggerating her personal drama. That said, is this whole article a plant by Heidi and Spencer’s camp? I barely trust anything I read about these two. The last I heard from Spencer he was blowing all his cash on crystals, and not the kind that people cook up with cold medicine. He claimed that he loved energy crystals and had spent 1/2 a million on them. “It’s supposed to bring love. There’s a whole science to this [the crystals] — I’m not crazy.” Keep saying that, Spencer. Your wife looks like a Real Doll before they put the finishing touches on her and you could lose her to a Beverly Hills Plastic Surgeon. Some colored rocks aren’t going to help you.

Jane Fonda admits to new round of plastic surgery

janefondabeforeafter
Actress Jane Fonda, 72, most likely had a face lift prior to her recent round of plastic surgery. Her neck was tight and her face looked very fresh and young, although she did have lines around her eyes. I would guess that she had surgery a few years ago and let it settle without getting excessive botox or fillers that would give her a waxy look. Jane had even more work done recently. She blogged that she had surgery to remove the bags under her eyes and have her chin lifted. It’s hard to tell how much different she looks as the photos she’s posting are small, but from what I’ve seen she doesn’t look like herself. Good for her for admitting it, though, and for saying that it wasn’t the first time. I’m guessing that the 2000 procedure she mentions was either her first or second face lift.

Bob Evans complimented me on my new, short haircut and I said, “Thanks. I just had some ‘work’ done on my chin and neck and had the bags taken away from under my eyes so I decided it would be good to get a new hair cut so people will think it’s my new hair.” He thought that was so funny he actually toasted me for doing what he said he’d never heard anyone do before: admit they’d had work done. I was planning on blogging about it anyway so who cares? I’m writing a book about aging so I couldn’t very well NOT talk about it. It’s been 2 weeks. I was in front of the camera all day yesterday and was photographed at Eve Ensler’s luncheon 9 days after the procedure so, obviously, it went well. I swore in 2000 I’d never have anything done again but this year I got tired of not looking like how I feel and I wanted a more refined chin line like I used to have so I changed my mind. I’m still a little swollen but not much and what pleases me is that I won’t looked pulled or weird…or tired all the time. And my crows feet are still alive and well. I wish I’d been brave enough to not do anything but, instead, I chose to be a somewhat more glamorous grandma.

[From Jane Fonda's blog via Huffington Post]

It’s kind of refreshing to hear a celebrity admit to getting work done without using it for PR like Heidi Montag. Fonda was a Loreal representative, though, so how is this going to jibe with the cosmetics giant? She advertises for anti-aging cream and surely they don’t want her admitting to going under the knife. I checked Loreal’s website and Fonda isn’t shown. She had a contract in 2006, but might not be working for them at this point.

I really think she looked better before, but again these photos are far away and maybe her face is still swollen. I’ve said this before, but I’m all for face lifts as long as you keep the procedures to a minimum and don’t end up looking like a puppet face. Just let it settle and then resist the urge to get maintenance work done. That never ends well.

In 2006, Fonda vowed off additional plastic surgery, saying “I’m not going to do it, somebody’s got to give a face to getting old.” It just won’t be her I guess.
