Victoria Beckham confirms to Vogue UK that she took out her implants

posh2

Sigh… another year without an American Vogue cover. Victoria Beckham has to console herself with yet another Vogue UK cover. Instead of going for her usual jacked-up high-glamour look (if you want to call it that), Victoria’s cover shot is suspiciously low-key. This, too, is forced. The Vogue UK writer Lisa Armstrong notes, “No French manicures. No torpedo bazookas, either. ‘Gone,’ she announces.” Why the change? Because Posh is going from WAG to fashion designer, and wants to be seen as low-key. Can I be honest? I rarely say this kind of thing, but Posh looks better when she’s “unnatural” you know? I don’t like this un-glamorous shot of Posh. It makes her look like she’s got mental problems, especially with her mouth hanging open like that. Anyway, in the interview excerpts, Posh talks about her marriage, etc:

Victoria Beckham has been unwavering in her love and devotion for husband David after 11 years of marriage. But despite his athletic figure and metrosexual appearance, the former Spice Girl admits even he has his off days.

Just months after Posh declared her husband looked ‘naturally good all the time’, she appears to have changed her mind. In a new interview with the UK edition of Vogue magazine, the 36-year-old spoke frankly about her husband of 11 years.

Speaking in the February issue of Vogue – her sixth Vogue cover – she said: ‘The other morning I looked across at David just after he’d woken up and thought you look really crap. Thank God, because this is a man who always looked so perfect.’

Her remarks were in stark contrast to an interview she gave to Marie Claire magazine in October.

She said at the time: ‘He just naturally looks good all the time. He never looks like s*** in the morning. Never. So he’s sitting there sending his e-mails, all ripped. Not an ounce of fat on him. And I thought, you done good, girl. I sure wasn’t thinking of his high-pitched voice.’

Victoria’s appearance in Vogue is the sixth time she’s appeared on the cover of the magazine. She’s already graced the covers of Russian, Indian, Turkish, German editions, and the British edition once before in 2008.

Also in the Vogue interview, she admits she’s finally given up on her long hope for a baby girl. She also confesses to having her breast implants removed and admits the power balance between herself and David is changing.

[From The Daily Mail]

Yeah, I buy that she loves the hell out of David Beckham, and I’ll also buy that he adores her. But not even his lawsuit against In Touch Weekly will convince me that David can keep it in his pants. He just has that problem, and it must be hell to deal with… that is, if Posh can even admit it to herself.

LeAnn Rimes shows off her new boob job in Mexico

101229f3_rimes_b-gr_33

These are photos of LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian on vacation in Mexico yesterday. There are probably going to be lots of photos of LeAnn in a bikini, because I’ve already seen several groups, and she’s wearing different bikinis in each. She’s showing off. Speaking of, I’ve been seeing the comments about LeAnn Rimes’ alleged boob job, and I hear you. I had a twinge of wonderment when I saw LeAnn is that Christmas bustier – her bust looked slightly larger, but I passed it off on the bustier. Now I completely agree – she got her natural boobs (probably barely a B-cup) enlarged to a C or D-cup. Also, she’s lost quite a bit of weight over the past year, which only makes the new boob job look even more like they’re bolted on to her skeletal frame.

Many of you already did the investigative work and determined that LeAnn had probably gotten her boobs done shortly after Thanksgiving, when she and Eddie seemed to be uncharacteristically low-key for a few weeks. They were barely pap’d (meaning that LeAnn wasn’t calling them), and then suddenly, her new boobs get the press rollout with some Twit-pics and now bikini photos. So LeAnn isn’t pregnant, she just got some new boobs for Eddie. Oh, LeAnn. You can get all the C-cups you want, he’s still going to cheat on you.

Lisa Rinna’s newly repaired duck lips aren’t healing properly

101101a2_rinna_l_b-gr_03

Back in October of this year, Lisa Rinna finally went in to a plastic surgeon to have her horrible duck lips repaired, after a silicone tragedy befell them many years ago. You see, Lisa used to get hot lead (or whatever) injected into her lips back in the ‘80s. And something happened and the procedure became permanent, and Rinna became known as “that chick with the disgusting lips”. So she had them worked on… only now the cure seems worse than the disease. Prepare yourself, this gets GROSS.

LISA RINNA is trapped in a plastic surgery nightmare – her surgically altered “trout pout” lips won’t heal!

The former Melrose Place star, 47, recently underwent a procedure to remove silicone from her lips that had been implanted back in 1986. But now her recovery hasn’t gone well – and she’s terrified that if she smiles too much her lips might bust open!

“Her doctors told Lisa it’s going to take months longer for her to heal,” a close pal told The ENQUIRER. “Lisa’s trying not to talk or even smile for long for fear of popping open her lips. She told a pal, ‘I look like I’m mad all the time, but I’m just trying to get my lips to heal properly!’”

While lip injections are popular in Hollywood, the procedure can lead to serious complications, Dr. Anthony Youn, a leading cosmetic surgeon told The ENQUIRER.

“Any time you have anything permanent injected into the lips, you are playing Russian roulette with your face,” Dr. Youn divulged. “There are serious risks.”

While Rinna was under the examination table, her doctor warned her: “The tissue is under tension. It’s not coming together.”

According to Dr. Youn, her lips could take up to six months to heal. Her pal said: “The whole thing has been driving Lisa crazy!”

[From The National Enquirer, print and online editions]

The Enquirer’s print edition has absolutely disgusting photos to go along with the story, which I’m very glad we can’t reprint here. Her mouth basically looks like (AVERT YOUR EYES IF YOU GROSS OUT EASILY) a ripped, bloody anus. It’s disgusting. And unsanitary. I don’t see how she can even function with her mouth like that – how does she eat? How does she brush her teeth? Ugh.

Pitiful Heidi Montag reveals her scars to Life & Style

1101finalcover

Pity poor Heidi Montag. Someone held a gun to her head and forced her to have twenty million elective operations on her body in an effort to turn her into a more plastic version of a Barbie doll. And now that she has “scars” she regrets the whole thing! SOB. Heidi gave an “exclusive” interview to Life & Style Magazine for their cover story this week – and she even did a photo shoot with the magazine, showing off some of her plastic surgery scars. Heidi claims that she has terrible scarring from her watermelon-sized breast implants (shock!), her brow lift (gasp!), and her ass/back-scooping crap (gross). And there’s more!

Heidi sits down with Life & Style for an exclusive interview and photo shoot to share the unglamorous aftereffects of her plastic surgery, one year later.

Heidi Montag was seeking perfection when she famously underwent 10 plastic surgery procedures in November 2009. Now a year later, Heidi reveals her operation-room battle wounds for the first time to Life & Style.

“Parts of my body definitely look worse than they did presurgery,” she told Life & Style exclusively at a photo shoot on Dec. 2. “This is not what I signed up for.”

The former Hills star reveals a series of unsightly scars, red inflammation and uneven body parts including: a 2-inch-long raised blemish under her chin from her chin reduction, two caterpillar-size bald spots along her hairline from a brow lift, a horrifying jagged line behind her ears from having her ears pinned back, lumpy legs and four spots left on her lower back and below the buttocks from botched liposuction, a bright-red mark inside her right nostril, uneven boobs, a stretched mark on her chest and deep scars around her nipples from a second boob job.

“The big dark mark from my chin reduction is probably the most noticeable. But the absolute worst is on my breasts, and the scariest is below my butt cheek,” Heidi tells Life & Style. “People have fewer scars from car accidents than I have on my body.”

Heidi says the scars are constant reminders that she made a big mistake.

“I would love to not be ‘plastic girl’ or whatever they call me. Surgery ruined my career and my personal life and just brought a lot of negativity into my world. I wish I could jump into a time machine and take it all back. Instead, I’m always going to feel like Edward Scissorhands.”

[From Life & Style]

Do you feel for Heidi? I don’t. I don’t even think Heidi has a “disease” – like body dysmorphic disorder. I think she’s just a famewhore who got a lot of dumb, unnecessary surgeries in an attempt to get attention and now she’s milking the after-effects for more sympathy and pity (attention!).

Did Gerard Butler get something “done” to make himself look younger?

gerard_butler_03_wenn3126748

These are new photos of Gerard Butler in Miami over the weekend, attending the Art Basel convention. Plus, he was probably in town to troll for strange, just FYI Miami Celebitches – hang out near the convention center, and chances are pretty good that if you have long dark hair and nice boobs, you’ll get Butlered. You’ll probably get Butlered in the bathroom, I would guess. And chances are, it might be okay. Because Gerard is looking really good in these photos… like, surprisingly good. Like, I don’t have make any apologies for his moobs or his drool or his HerpeEye in these photos. He looks strangely… young. So, here’s the question: did Gerard get something nipped and tucked? Or did he just lose some weight, and maybe he’s been taking better care of himself?

gerard_butler_06_wenn3126753

I honestly can’t tell. It could just be that he’s got some color and he’s lost weight and this hair is really working for him. Or it could be that he’s had a little upkeep. Even though I’m totally obsessed and I cyber-stalk him (he flew in to Miami from LA on Friday, by the way!), much of Gerard’s private life is a mystery to me. Is he the kind of man who is so vain he would go in to get something “done”?

Nicole Kidman’s face is capable of showing some emotions, say critics

Nicole Kidman arrives for the 44th Annual Country Music Awards in Nashville, Tennessee on November 10, 2010. UPI/Kevin Dietsch Photo via Newscom

It’s alleged that Nicole Kidman may have possibly have had work done on her face, notably Botox. Allegedly.

Now that Nicole has a new film coming out, her performance will be under scrutiny, as will the movability of her face, according to critic Lisa Schwarzbaum of Entertainment Weekly magazine.

Next month Nicole Kidman stars in Rabbit Hole, the sad drama about a couple quietly falling apart after the accidental death of their 4-year-old son. She plays a grieving wife and mother opposite Aaron Eckhart as her husband; Dianne Wiest is her mother. The movie’s opening is some weeks away (it’s in limited release Dec. 17), but I can already anticipate two consequences in the national chatter: First, there will be prognostication about Nicole Kidman’s chances for an Oscar nomination. Second, there will be talk about Nicole Kidman’s face.

[Entertainment Weekly, print edition, December 3, 2010]

Nicole is known for her porcelain skin, but lately it seems as if she’s gone to extremes to keep it wrinkle-free. Allegedly. And to give an Oscar-worthy performance, shouldn’t an actress be able to express grief through subtle movements of her face besides fake tears?

This debate is a polarizing one for Hollywood. How an actress looks off the screen is often as scrutinized as her performance in a film, and in this day of instant digital cameras that get so close you can count nose hairs, some actresses have seemingly become addicted to trying to look youthful and instead look freakish. Right, Nicole? Allegedly.

For what it’s worth, Kidman’s famous features do move — a little more — in Rabbit Hole. By whatever methods she has employed, the actor currently looks somewhat softer and a little more natural, playing a woman nearly catatonic with grief. And insofar as increased facial pliability will expand her work options, refocus critical attention on her considerable acting skills, and get Internet snark off her case and back where it belongs on the cases of talentless celebutards with plastic-surgery addictions, I say, Great! Show us your flaws, Nic! So you at your “worst” are better than we are on our very best days!

…The fact is, physical enhancement is as much a professional requirement for an actor aspiring to Hollywood fame as strength training is for an athlete aiming for the NFL. With the pressures on movie stars (particularly female), first by an industry (particularly male) that pays lip service to “reality” while obsessively promoting what’s young and hot, and in turn by us, the audience, it’s a wonder more actors, both male and female, don’t lose sight of what’s right and natural about their own bodies.

[Entertainment Weekly, print edition, December 3, 2010]

Maybe life with husband Keith Urban and daughter Sunday has chilled Nicole Kidman out so that she’s starting to realize how lovely she is without Botox and lip-plumpers. Allegedly.

“Nic listened to her heart against people’s advice and even her own instincts,” he [Urban] says of her standing by him. “I can’t put into words how I feel about what she did. My life is one thank-you to her….There wouldn’t be Sunny without Nic, because she really saved my life, so my instincts are for Nic to know she’s the No. 1 girl in my life and Sunday is No. 2,” he says. “Mom and Dad have got to be tight with each other — otherwise the whole thing’s unbalanced.”

[People, print edition, December 6, 2010]

I think Nicole is one of the most talented actresses working today, and I’ve always thought it was a shame she feels the need to Botox her face into a blank wall. Allegedly. I’ve admired the way she carries herself although she admits that red carpets scare her to death. The Others is one of my favorite scary movies, and I wish her all the happiness with Keith that she had sucked from her soul by Tom Cruise. So, to echo Lisa Schwarzbaum, ease up, Nicole, on trying to look like all those 20-year-olds trying to make names for themselves — you can act circles around the Gossip Girls and 90210s.

Rabbit Hole opens in limited release December 17, just in time for Oscar season.

Pete Burns on his plastic surgery: pus squirting out, science fiction horror

Nightline had a “Celebrity Plastic Surgery” segment on Tuesday, followed by a ABC Primetime “Celebrity Plastic Surgery Gone Too Far” special on Wednesday. (You can watch the Nightline episode online if you’re in the US. That part starts at 8:30. Most of the segments from the “Celebrity Plastic Surgery” special are here, or you can watch it in several parts online.) Nightline spoke with a celebrity plastic surgeon named Dr. Garth Fisher who has been on Extreme Makeover, used to be married to Brooke Burke, and has fixed botched plastic surgery for Lisa Rinna and Bruce Jenner. They focused on celebrities who have admitted to the work they’ve had done, and even though we’re aware of these people it was still pretty shocking.

Dr. Fischer estimates that around 70% of celebrities have had plastic surgery. Kendra Wilkinson, Holly Madison, Kourtney Kardashian, Jenna Jameson and Jordan are among the women whose breasts Dr. Fisher has done. He has a “teardrop” technique that supposedly makes cleavage look more natural. He also fixes a lot of overaggressive and unnatural looking surgery from other doctors, and advises clients against getting unnecessary surgery. Of Heidi Montag’s work, he said “she looked great before the surgery… if she came into my office I probably wouldn’t have offered those things to her. We turn down… probably 40% of the people who walk into here. You really have to be the good doctor and protect them no matter who they are.”

heidimontag
Then they had that interview with Heidi Montag you’ve probably heard about, where she mildly trash talked her now-deceased surgeon, Dr. Frank Ryan, and said “I definitely think I should have been way more informed. I think that doctors should really walk you through all aspects of it, not just the glamorous side of it… Doctors, it’s like they’re selling you cookies or something… if I could take it back I would.” Radar has more on Heidi’s segment on the Celebrity Plastic Surgery Special if you’re interested.

There was some coverage of Lisa Rinna’s lip re-do, which was shown on her TV Land Reality show, Lisa loves Harry, then we got to see Pete Burns. If you’re not familiar with this guy, he’s the British former lead singer for the band Dead or Alive (they had that big hit “You Spin Me Round” in 1985) and has been on Celebrity Big Brother in the UK. Burns’ face is so outrageously distorted that he looks like a marionette. He’s had “dozens” of injections and procedures, including a botched nose job, silicone lip implants that got infected, steroids, filler and tissue reconstruction. He described some truly disgusting complications from his surgery. (Warning on this description, it turned my stomach.) There are also some quotes from Pete below that were shown on the Celebrity Plastic Surgery special. Pete may look completely unnatural to us, but he seems to either like it or not notice. He continues to get a ton done, and said that he has his surgeon on speed dial.

peteburns2

On why his botched nose job didn’t stop him
Sometimes you’re just unlucky and it was fixed. If it goes wrong and you can fix it, I don’t see why it’s any big drama.

On why he continues to get plastic surgery & injections
I see it as an artform. I see myself as my own clay, and I was remodeling it.

On when the silicone in his lips got infected
I developed rashes around the mouth, then I developed lumps. [The plastic surgeon] just kept injecting me [with steroids]
My lip was at least 18 inches away from my face, the lower lip… When you wake up and your adam’s apple has come out… further than your jaw and one side of your face is so swollen you can’t open your eye and there’s yellow discharge, not just leaking squirting with a hiss it would squirt from my face. It was like one of the worse science fiction or horror movies you could ever see.

I went as far as LA and NY to see specialists and all they could recommend was amputation…

Narrator: eventually [Pete's] lips were saved by an Italian surgeon who specializes in rebuilding faces eaten away by cancer. Burns endured two years of intensive treatment.

On fixing the botched lip implants
It was removing what amounted to pints of fluid that my body produced trying to fight this substance that was in me. I had 11 kidney stones, near liver failure, thrombosis, nearly lost sight in one eye, I couldn’t eat food.. so for two years like that.

Burns received a $700,000 settlement from the doctor who gave him those lip implants and kept injecting him with steroids instead of properly treating him. He was unable to tour or promote his greatest hits album and admits that he was suicidal at the time.

I was just talking to a friend today about this. She used to work at a plastic surgeon’s office and told me that the main concern that people have is that they will look very fake or will suffer terrible consequences. As for how painful various procedures are, she said that it varies by the person like anything else. Some people don’t think it’s a big deal afterwards while others (like Heidi Montag) think the pain is awful.

We always hear these horror stories of plastic surgery gone wrong, and we see people like Pete Burns and this poor model (video below) who look plastic and pulled afterwards. We don’t know about good plastic surgery, though, because when people have minor procedures and don’t go overboard you often can’t tell. I know that I would love to look as refreshed and natural as say, Sandra Bullock or Meryl Streep. Don’t hate on me for saying either of those women had something done, I think they did and that it’s very subtle, but maybe that’s how gorgeous you look when you take care of yourself and don’t mess with nature.

Did Raccoon McPantless get a nose job?

taylorbeforeafter

Star Magazine has a photo examination of our favorite raccoon, Taylor Momsen. They are alleging that McPantless had a nose job, sometime around 2008, or perhaps 2009. They even got a doctor to chime in:

A lot has changed about Taylor Momsen’s appearance since she snagged the role of Jenny on Gossip Girl in 2007. Besides accenting her eyes with harsh raccoon like eye makeup, it looks like the 17-year-old has also gone under the knife and had a rhinoplasty.

“It appears Taylor has had a nose job,” says a NYC plastic surgeon named Dr. Michael Fiorillo. “Now it’s not as wide, and her nostrils appear to be slightly higher.”

Could her old nose grow back? Dr. Fiorillo says: “At her age, her nose is fully grown.”

[From Star Magazine]

CB and I were examining old photos of Raccoon, and we both saw a difference too – it’s subtle, but I do think she’s had some minor shaping done, and the bridge looks smaller. It’s so incredibly hard to tell, because the girl went from fresh-faced average-pretty girl to this raccoon monstrosity, and the makeup is so drastic.

In other Raccoon McPantless news, she recently gave a brief interview explaining why she’s so f-cked up. Guess whose fault it is? Mommy and daddy, of course. BUT – her parents do sound totally douchey. Momsen said:

“Everyone’s like, ‘Wow, why is she upset and why is she so miserable about things?’ My parents signed me up with Ford (modeling agency) at the age of two. No two year old wants to be working, but I had no choice. My whole life, I was in and out of school. I didn’t have friends. I was working constantly and I didn’t have a real life.”

[From Starpulse]

Is this the answer to all of Raccoon’s problems? And seriously, her parents sound like a–holes. It’s one thing to encourage your child to follow their dreams and applaud every performance. It’s quite another to push your kid over and over and over ever since the kid was 2 years old. And that, children, is how raccoons are made.

Lisa Rinna tells actresses to stop getting plastic surgery to look like Angelina

LOS ANGELES - NOV 1: Lisa Rinna arrives at the Dancing With The Stars 200th Show Party at Boulevard3 on November 1, 2010 in Los Angeles, CA Photo via Newscom
Lisa Rinna only reluctantly came clean about the painfully obvious fact that she’d messed with her lips, comparing the spur of the moment decision to get silicone with getting a tattoo. Afterwards she admitted that the criticism hurt her feelings, and said that she wishes she’d never owned up to it. Now that Lisa has had her lips surgically fixed to something resembling their original state, (and now that she has a book and reality show to promote) she’s talking about them again. In this latest installment of Lisa Rinnna: the lip chronicles, she says that she tries to keep fake-looking magazine covers away from her tween daughters, and that she advises actresses to love themselves and stop trying to look like Angelina Jolie.

Lisa Rinna, who just confessed to undergoing surgery to remove her silicone lip injections, has become a big advocate of a more natural look, telling me, “I want young women to learn to love themselves. You don’t need to change anything especially your lips.”

As a mother of two beautiful daughters, Delilah Belle and Amelia Gray, ages 8 and 11, Lisa knows too well the pressure on young women and wants to make sure she sets a good example.

“I remove the cover of magazines when girls who have had too much plastic surgery are on them. That’s the last thing my girls need to see. All these young Hollywood actresses need to stop trying to be the next Angelina Jolie and learn to love themselves,” Lisa tells me.

“Trust me, now that I have removed the silicone from my lips, I feel sexier and Harry loves them. It makes kissing and something else much easier,” she giggled.

[From Popeater]

I would buy all this from Lisa if she admitted to getting her lips done sooner, and if she owned it instead of trying to forget she mentioned it and then bringing it up again like some kind of revelation. Still, I get the “damned if you do” talk about it “damned if you don’t” angle. She got lip injections, they made her look like she was smuggling hot dogs under her lips, and she felt self conscious and was sensitive about it. Good for her for telling other women to go easy on the plastic surgery. Does she also regret her bolt-on boobs? They look fake to me but they could be real.

Oh and when I googled “Lisa Rinna Boob Job” I came upon this story from this spring where she commented on Kate Hudson’s maybe boob job, saying “I think everyone needs to do whatever they need to do to make themselves feel good. And it’s nobody’s business!” Mmmhmm. That’s much different than advising against plastic surgery now isn’t it?

Tuesday October 5 2010. BEFORE & AFTER - According to reports, Lisa Rinna went under the knife again in August to have her infamous trout pout reduced. In an impulsive decision, Lisa had sillicone injected into her lips 25-years-ago. The 47-year-old actress decided to have the procedure done after saying, ...my lips started to define who I am . She had the surgery in August and is now in her 6-month healing phase. BEFORE: 40889. Lisa Rinna attends the Best Friends Animal Society Pet Adoption Festival in Westchester. Date taken May 23, 2010. Heidi Montag’s Halloween face: new tweaking or old settling?

heidi_montag_15_wenn3073661

These Heidi Montag photos are bothering me. First of all, her face once again looks different to me, although… it’s different in an old way. Has her plastic surgery “settled”? Is this as natural as she’s going to look these days? Remember how horrible and plastic-Barbie-doll she looked before? Heidi’s face makes me think that no matter how much work you get, eventually you’ll go back to your original face in some way.

heidi_montag_04_wenn3073654

heidi_montag_08_wenn3073650

And then there’s the Curious Case of Tara Reid. Tara has been back on the sauce (amongst other things) for months now, and it seems that she’s also gotten some major work done recently. These are photos of Tara at a Halloween party on Friday night, and yes, that wig is doing her no favors (she went as Barbie). But still – if these photos weren’t labeled “Tara Reid” I would have run out of guesses.

Basically, Halloween is extra scary this year.
