Jamie Oliver wants a boy so bad he had sex while wearing a frozen diaper

British television chef Jamie Oliver and his wife, Jools, happily announced recently that they were expecting their third child.  Jamie and Jools have two daughters, Poppy Honey, 6, and Daisy Boo, 5, and have been trying for a few years to have a third.  Jools suffers from polycystic ovary syndrome and had to use IVF to conceive the couple’s first child.  Daisy was conceived naturally, but Jools used fertility drug Clomid to conceive the newest one.  And Jamie has made no secret that deep down, he wants a boy and will evidently go to great lengths to have one.

Jamie confessed that he wore a frozen nappy (diaper) to boost their chances of having a boy. Jamie said he’d heard that temperature could improve his and Jools’ chances of conceiving a boy.

He said: “I don’t know what sex it is yet. I know a lot of people say I keep talking about having a boy.

“And, well if I had a choice then it would be a boy - but I want to just make it clear that I’m happy whatever the big man gives me, as long as it’s healthy.”

He added: “I’ve tried quite a few things, I found out from a specialist that it’s about temperature, temperature of the balls.

“So what I did is I bought an adult nappy, soaked it in water, froze it, cut a hole for the c**k and we made love.”

It seems that Jamie probably didn’t intend to make this confession as he added on TV show Friday Night with Jonathan Ross: “I actually didn’t plan on having this conversation Jonathan.”

[From Babyrazzi]

Jamie Oliver speaking with Jonathan Ross… that would be an interesting interview.

Jamie was said to be looking into adoption if they didn’t have a boy this time, but Jamie says that while he doesn’t rule it out, there are no immediate plans.  But the couple does admire the Jolie-Pitts and their family.

He said: ‘I did say I think it’s an incredible thing for people to do. I wouldn’t rule it out but I am not in talks or anything.’

The British kitchen guru started the rumour mill running this week by admiring Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s brood of adopted children.

Jamie, who has cooked for Jolie and Pitt, said: ‘If I can’t produce a boy I will have to adopt one. I would consider it.

‘Adoption is such a selfless act and they have a lovely family environment. It’s humbling and beautiful to see.

‘Jools would like to have another child but there are so many vulnerable orphans out there. Jools and I need to sit down and have a very serious conversation about it.’

[From Daily Mail]

Jamie and Jools have been together a long time, they met when they were 15 and have been married for eight years, and they want a big family.  I wouldn’t be surprised, with the fertility issues they have, if we don’t hear about them adopting in the next couple years.  Rumors fly about the state of their marriage because of Jamie’s work schedule, but they insist nothing could be further from the truth.  Jools goes as far as to say that she’s the perfect wife for someone who works as hard as Jamie because she prefers being in the background, taking care of the kids and home and making sure everyone is happy.

Jamie and Jools’ third child is due April 1.

Lynne Spears calls media on hypocritical teen pregnancy coverage

Lynne Spears has been making the rounds promoting her new sorta tell-all book, “Through the Storm: A Real Story of Fame and Family in a Tabloid World,” and she actually has made a few good points in recent interviews. Lynne’s pointed out some of the hypocrisy in dealing with the media and discussed some of the challenges the Spears family has had to face with them.

For example, Jamie Lynn got a ton of heat for getting pregnant at 16. Yet Lynne claims that Sarah Palin has been “celebrated” for her daughter Bristol’s teenage pregnancy.

Newsweek: You and Jamie Lynn got some negative press when she got pregnant so young. But more recently, 17-year-old Bristol Palin, and her mother, Sarah Palin, the Republican vice presidential candidate, found themselves in a similar situation. And the public reaction has been different.

Lynne Spears: It’s a totally different reaction. It’s as if [Sarah Palin] became celebrated. I mean, the mother, Palin, was celebrated for this. Every woman in the world has applauded her strength and her convictions and poor little old Jamie Lynn—you saw how she was crucified. Everybody did, firsthand … I just feel like it’s been a very hypocritical situation.

[From Newsweek]

One important distinction is that the pregnant teenager in the Palin family is the daughter of someone who’s a public figure; whereas the pregnant teenager in the Spears family IS a public figure. Bristol Palin has a bit more of an expectation of privacy since she’s only famous because of her mom’s choices; Jaime Lynn is famous because of her family but is also an actress and a celebrity. So Palin’s pregnancy isn’t scrutinized in the same way Spears’ was. But I do see Lynne Spears’ point.

I think a big part of it was that Jamie Lynn’s pregnancy came first, so she took the brunt of the media attention. More of the hypothetical questions about what role teenage pregnancy plays in our larger society were leveled at Jamie Lynn and had already been debated to death by the time Bristol Palin became pregnant.

Lynn also complains to Newsweek that women are having babies when they’re too old and should have them in their twenties. I was willing to empathize with the previous complaint, but don’t really care for this one.

Newsweek:What’s it like to hear so many people trying to figure out what role your daughter’s pregnancy plays in society?

Lynne Spears: If you look back in history … We’re [in] a much more technical age, much more educated in some ways. But I think our generation is having babies so old … I think 20s, that’s a good age … [when women get older] their bodies are tearing down. When they start having babies it makes it so much more difficult and then they can’t get pregnant, because all the stuff is kinda set in … I don’t think people are looking at it that way. I think your 20s is a good time to have babies…

[From Newsweek]

That’s funny, because I think thirties is a good time to have babies. Maybe your body is “tearing down” but you probably also know better than to drive with your baby on your lap and a few other notoriously stupid decisions a famous mother in her twenties has made. I’m pretty sure Lynne has heard of her (cough Britney). This comment only bugged me as much as it did because Lynne makes a point of saying that she wouldn’t tell anybody else how to parent. But apparently telling them when to parent is fine.

Jenna Jameson confirms she’s pregnant with twins

Jenna Jameson has just confirmed my theory that the more times you have sex in one night, the more babies you can get pregnant with. Everyone knows that’s how you get multiples. Actually, if that were true, Jenna should be pregnant with a hell of a lot of kids. But I’m going to start that rumor anyway so that anyone having quadruplets or above can feel slightly embarrassed. Or proud, depending on how you roll.

Jameson has confirmed that she and boyfriend Tito Oritz are expecting twins.

Yes everyone, I can officially confirm that Tito and I are expecting twins! I had my second ultrasound today and was greeted by two big healthy babies with pounding hearts. I can’t even express the extreme serenity that came over me once I saw my children inside me. It has been my dream to have children for an exremely long time, and I truly feel like finally… the time is right and god has blessed me. I have never felt more like a woman, or more alive.

Tito is happier than I have ever seen him, it is so fulfilling to see him so proud. He looked me in the eye today after our doctors appointmet and said “I’m the luckiest man on earth… thank you for having my babies”. I cried.

i have been spending my days on bedrest, not because it is doctor ordered… but because, I am so incredibly fatigued and nauseous. Its hard to drag myself out of bed some mornings, which is hard for me… since I am always so active! I have officially gained 7 pounds so far, and am planning on a lot more. I crave fruit by the gallon… ornages and pineapple are at the top of my list. Cereal at 3 am suits me every night!

[From Jenna’s Myspace via Dlisted]

Thank God Jenna got pregnant on a night when she only had sex twice. Can you imagine what could have happened if she got pregnant when she was still a porn star? That could easily be 30 babies right there. And they’d all come out different and confused.

Speaking of confused, can you imagine what it’d be like to have Jenna Jameson as your mom? She’s probably the most famous porn star in the world. And at some point you’re going to reach an age where you realize that. I’m sure a lot of kids wished their parents were famous. But for that?

Here’s Jenna and Tito at the opening of CatHouse Restaurant and Lounge at the Luxor Hotel on December 29th, thanks to PRPhotos.

Levi Johnston, Bristol Palin’s fiance, displays devotion with ring finger tattoo

Pregnant Bristol Palin’s 18 year-old finance, Levi Johnston, sat next to her during her mom’s speech at the Republican National Convention in Minnesota last night. Five months pregnant Bristol, 17, was seen wearing an engagement ring while Levi displayed his devotion with a small tattoo on his left ring finger that spelled out his fiance’s name in script. Bristol and Levi looked a little uncomfortable at times to be in the spotlight:

Pregnant 17-year-old Bristol Palin and her 18-year-old boyfriend Levi Johnston displayed their commitment to each other at Wednesday’s GOP convention.

Johnston debuted a “Bristol” tattoo on his ring finger, while Bristol rocked what appeared to be an engagement ring. (McCain campaign officials have yet to identify the ring.)

In a statement announcing that their daughter was five months pregnant, Sarah and Todd Palin noted that the teenage couple planned to wed.

Levi flew to the convention in Minnesota from his Alaskan hometown on Wednesday. He was warmly greeted at the airport by Sen. John McCain.

Levi’s mother, Sherry Johnston, recently told the Associated Press that there had been no pressure put on her son to marry Bristol and that the two teens had made plans to wed before it was known she was pregnant.

[From US Weekly]

As I said yesterday, I don’t blame the family for making the decision to bring Levi to the convention and put on a show of togetherness. He’s going to marry Bristol, who is due to have his baby in December, and it only makes sense that he should show up after the whole deal was announced. Some journalists and observers are questioning their decision to make an announcement about Bristol’s pregnancy, only to turn around and ask for privacy. It’s not like they could hide her at home, though, where most of the people in their small town already knew about Bristol’s pregnancy. The news was going to get out anyway, and maybe they thought they were trying to head it off or whatever. Now we know that the two kids are crazy in love and that they were supposedly even engaged before Bristol got pregnant.

Debbie Mazar has spoken out about Bristol Palin’s pregnancy. Mazar’s mom was just 15 when she had her, and the actress says that it is a private matter and that we shouldn’t make such a big deal out of it:

Mazar knows all about teen pregnancy. Her mom had her when she was just 15 years old.

“I think it’s completely fine,” Mazar told me earlier today of 17-year-old mom-to-be Bristol Palin while promoting her new movie, The Women (I’ll have more on the flick later on), at the Four Seasons Beverly Hills. “And I think Sarah Palin made a good choice in being supportive of her daughter…and I agree that it’s private because those are her children. Her daughter fell in love and had sex. Big deal—it happens.”
But if it’s anything like her own childhood, Mazar says Sarah will likely hit some rough patches with her child because of her age. “My mom is a great mom and we’re very close,” Mazar says. “But because she had me so young, we had hurdles we had to go through. But it made me who I am today…As long as that kid has love and support, I wish her the best.”

[From E! Online]

The first thing I thought of when I read this is that Mazar’s grandmother must have been around to help raise her. If Bristol’s mom ends up being Vice President it’s not like she’s going to be a lot of help to her daughter with the baby. That’s just something that occurred to me and isn’t meant to disparage her choice to run. I don’t like Sarah Palin or more importantly, John McCain, as candidates for other reasons. Someone’s family situation shouldn’t have a lot of bearing on that.

Ashlee Simpson is not fat and pregnant, she’s just pregnant

Ashlee Simpson wants us all to know she’s happy being pregnant, and isn’t worried about her weight. Which means she’s either very lucky, or is fibbing. She addressed rumors of excessive pregnancy weight gain on her official myspace blog, titled ‘My size 0 jeans…by Ashlee SImpson-Wentz’.

Today I read on a blog that I went to the doctor and he said I was overweight and I cried and went to Planet Blue (because I was blue) and bought 6 pair of size 0 jeans. Now it is ridiculous to read such nonsense about oneself so I thought I would address this one…
1. My doctor says I am right on target with my weight gain
2. Have not been to Planet Blue in at least two years
3. Love my maternity jeans ..they have stretchy tops it is awesome!
4. My closet full of size 0’s are being worn by Pete right now and he looks hot in them :)
So now that I have cleared that up let me tell you…carrying a child is the most inspiring, emotional, amazing experience of my life. My weight and my pant size are the absolute last thing I am concerned about. I am only concerned with having a healthy pregnancy and a healthy baby. People who talk and judge pregnant women’s weight need to get a life!!!
Peace and Love,
Ashlee

myspace

Ashlee must still be in the phase of pregnancy where you’re looking comfortably rounded, and everyone smiles at your belly, and the baby is just starting to kick and move and it’s absolutely magical.

For most of us, this is rapidly followed by the final stage of pregnancy weight gain, where you are so large you can only assume you still have feet, and you believe you’ll never be human sized again, let alone thin. You rail against the state of reproduction that forces you to carry your gestating offspring for 40 weeks, and want to pummel anyone who makes the inevitable comment about how elephants gestate for 22months.

Or maybe that was just me?

Ashlee told ET last week that she is busily preparing for motherhood, getting together a nursery and picking names. Pete says that he and Ashlee have not asked the sex of the baby, so they’ve probably got a size 000 collection of black hoodies and skinny leg jeans ready for him/her.

Is Sarah Palin her baby’s grandmother? (update: no, daughter is pregnant)

Update: this photo is dated from 2006, and could not possibly show Palin’s daughter pregnant with Trig given his age.

Update 2: Bristol Palin, 17, is five months pregnant now. It is impossible for this story to be true at all and our apologies to their family for spreading it. Bristol was possibly pregnant in one of the photos below, but not with Trig.

One of the most interesting parts of political campaigns are the secrets that inevitably leak out. Yet more often than not, they’re not all that interesting – just interesting given the person’s position in society. But recent republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin – who’s very nomination shocked plenty of people – appears to have been keeping quite the secret of her own the last several months.

Not a Bill Clinton/ Monica Lewinsky level of scandal. Palin’s (alleged) secret is a much more private, familial matter, and her motivations could be argued as either self-centered or altruistic, depending on your point of view.

Palin, the Governor of Alaska, supposedly gave birth to her son Trig Paxson Van Palin in late April. However there is a detailed timeline on the website Daily Kos that indicates that it is unlikely (to the point of nearly impossible) that Palin gave birth to Trig, and that he is actually the son of her 16-year-old daughter Bristol.

Palin didn’t announce that she was pregnant until she was 7 months along. Her entire staff was completely shocked. Palin is 44 and has given birth to four children – women tend to show earlier and more obviously the more children they have, and the later in life they are. The exact opposite happened here.

I’m going to quote a few highlights from the article, but what really makes it clear that this story is probably true is the entirety of the evidence. I thought it seemed too sensational to be real (and certainly to go undiscovered) but once I finished reading every single point, I’m pretty convinced.

On Friday, April 18th, 2008, Sarah and her husband Todd were in Dallas, Texas for a Republican Governor’s Convention. They had been in town for three days already, but Sarah had yet to give her keynote speaker address on energy policy. Then early Friday morning at 4:00am, Sarah began leaking amniotic fluid. Instead of checking into a hospital, she instead made a call to her doctor, and delivered the keynote speech.

“I was not going to miss that speech,” she says.

She rushed so quickly from the podium afterwards that Texas Gov. Rick Perry nervously asked if she was about to deliver the baby then.

The oddities only grow from here on, as instead of rushing to a Dallas medical facility that could treat a mother who’s amniotic fluid has been draining for hours on end (made even more crucial due to the fact that this is occurring a full month prematurely), Sarah & Todd instead opted to… Fly all the way back from Texas to Alaska. A dangerous choice, as with each pregnancy (once again, in this case after four previous), a mother’s window of labor to delivery grows shorter and shorter.

Aboard Alaska Airlines, the flight lasted for eight hours, with an additional landing in Seattle. The majority of commercial airlines require mothers seven months pregnant to provide a doctor’s letter to fly, but Sarah did not inform the airline of her condition. Alaska Airlines is one of the few airlines that do not require such a notice, despite the possibility of an emergency landings being required in such scenarios. That said, no one on board noticed that Sarah was going into labor.

Eight months pregnant. A 6.2 pound fetus. No one notices a visible trace. By the third trimester, a perfectly fit woman not wearing anything less than a space suit should be easily spotted as pregnant. Not in Sarah’s case.

The plane then made a landing in Anchorage, Alaska. Does Sarah then visit a medical facility that can accommodate a premature birth in Alaska’s most equipped city? No. She drives 45 minutes away, to Mat-Su Regional Medical Center, right outside the small village she used to govern as Mayor, Wasilla. Trig Palin is then delivered one month premature, Friday night. Sarah returned to work after three days.

Her sixteen year-old daughter was.

Checking with the Anchorage High School that Bristol Palin attended, reporters were given word that her family had taken Bristol out of school due to contracting infectious mononucleosis. The amount of time Bristol was absent shifts from five to eight months.

Mono can last anywhere from two weeks to three months, but an eight month infection is a freak oddity. Yet it remains a common excuse given by girls in private & Catholic schools around the nation when pregnancy comes into play. Not the first time, not the last time.

[From the Daily Kos]

The article is very detailed and gives a chronological timeline that really makes you wonder how Palin could possibly be pregnant. It also makes you wonder how in the world she thought she could get away with something like this as a public figure. And as much as anything, it makes you wonder why the family made this decision, and if it had to do with what was best for Bristol or what was best for Sarah Palin’s career.

A lot of people are saying this isn’t that big deal, doesn’t matter, and won’t change people’s opinion of Sarah Palin. I agree that a pregnant teenager is a private family issue, and if the family had handled it differently that’d be one thing. But hearing someone is an outright liar about something this important is pretty upsetting. I know it happens, and it’s certainly not the greatest political lie of all time. But that doesn’t mean we should accept it.

Politicians aren’t perfect, and neither are their children. Who I really feel most sorry for are Bristol and Trig. They’re going to be under a lot of scrutiny. People make mistakes, and teenagers make a lot of them. Rarely is something like this so public, and I really hope the Palin’s choose to place a greater emphasis on what is better for their children/grandchildren than what’s best for their political image.

Note by Celebitchy: The baby in question has Down’s syndrome, and a lot of people are saying that points to an older mother. Of course Downs is more common with older mothers, but 80% babies with Downs are born to women under 35 due to the fact that more women under 35 have babies.

There are two pictures below of Palin’s daughter from the time she would have been pregnant - when she was out of school for 8 months for “mono.” I know this is a very sensational story, as Jaybird mentioned, but the evidence is compelling. The John Edwards story was ignored by the major news outlets until it became impossible to ignore. This is the potential Vice President of the United States and this type of story is incredibly newsworthy. Palin never looked pregnant (update: not true - see below) - her daughter did and dropped out of school, and the circumstances surrounding Palin’s pregnancy and birth are suspect to say the least.

The first picture is Palin six months into her pregnancy at the National Governor’s Association at the White House. Second picture is from February 28th, and the third is from March 3rd. The fourth photo is of Palin supposedly seven months pregnant after her official announcement. The fifth photo is Palin’s daughter Bristol in late 2007, and the sixth one is from the Anchorage Daily News published on March 9th.

Update: It’s entirely possible these are all a series of strange coincidences and that the baby is indeed Sarah Palin’s and not her daughters. If all these details are true - even if Palin just decided to fly 8 hours after her water broke, then drive another 45 minutes before giving birth - you can see how someone could come up with this conspiracy theory. Here are two photos of Palin looking very pregnant along with a link to the header caption which shows that the photo was taken in 2006 when Bristol could not possibly have been pregnant with Trig. [Thanks Scott F!]

Update 2: (same text as top update on page) Bristol Palin, 17, is five months pregnant now. It is impossible for this story to be true at all and our apologies to their family for spreading it. Bristol was possibly pregnant in one of the photos below, but not with Trig.

Charlie Sheen and wife Brooke Mueller expecting a baby

The thought of Charlie Sheen bringing another child into this world is pretty damn scary. Almost as scary as the thought of Denise Richards bringing another child into this world. But that’s exactly what he’s doing. Charlie and his new wife Brooke Mueller were telling everyone who would listen that they wanted to have kids right away. Which I generally think is bad luck and a really great way to jinx yourself. But it seems to have worked out fine because the couple is now pregnant.

In Touch can exclusively reveal that Charlie Sheen and his wife, Brooke Mueller, are expecting a baby! “They are so happy and excited,“ an insider says. Brooke, 31, and Charlie, 42, can’t wait to start a family together. “They are in love, and this news makes things even better,” the insider adds. The couple, who met in 2006, wed in Los Angeles on May 30 and spent their honeymoon in Costa Rica. Charlie has two daughters, Sam, 4, and Lola, 3, with Denise Richards. Congrats, Brooke and Charlie!

[From In Touch]

I am so scared for this child. Soon there will be a tiny person out there who is a direct descendant of Charlie Sheen, and Denise Richards won’t be able to force it to make weird statements in a court of law. What other things is she going to be able to do to mess it up? I don’t want to make any unfounded accusations, but if I were Brooke and Charlie I’d seriously consider professionally sterilizing anything that comes into their house by way of Denise. Especially baby presents. Or maybe just throwing them out all together.

This is going to be a fun 18 years for all of them.

Here’s Brooke and Charlie at the 2 and a Half Men 100th anniversary party on October 3nd. Images thanks to PR Photos.

Jennifer Garner confirms pregnancy

Just in case you were wondering if Jennifer Garner was pregnant or just putting on some baby-shaped weight, the actress has finally admitted she’s expecting. Jen’s pregnancy has been sort of unofficially/accidentally acknowledged by husband Ben Affleck and their actor friend Victor Garber. And everyone knows once Victor Garber tells the press you’re expecting, there’s really no need to say anything more.

Jennifer confirmed to Access Hollywood that she isn’t just unfortunately bloated – though she did make a joke about it.

After months of speculation, Jennifer Garner has officially confirmed she is expecting a second child with her husband, Ben Affleck, in a new interview with Access Hollywood’s Tony Potts.

”Thank you,” Jennifer told Tony at the Baby Einstein’s 10th anniversary celebration on Wednesday, at the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Downtown Los Angeles. “We’re so excited, obviously.” Jennifer was coy with the news at first, joking with Tony as he wished her well.

“Congratulations. Can I say that?” Tony asked. “For what?” Jennifer smiled. “For baby number two,” Tony responded.

“Oh I’m not pregnant,” she giggled. “I just had a lot of carbs for breakfast. It’s just — what do they call it? A breakfast pouch? Bunch?”

Jennifer’s confirmation comes after weeks of speculation as her tummy size swelled to the visible baby bump she is currently sporting. The child, whose sex Jennifer did not reveal, will be her second with Affleck.

[From Access Hollywood]

Jennifer and Ben have also been busy campaigning for Barack Obama while promoting green causes. Jen was seen driving around Brentwood yesterday in a beautiful hydrogen powered BMW. The car had a huge advertisement on the side that said “Clean Energy,” on it. She probably got comped for it, but it’s nice to see someone famous endorsing something that actually matters instead of just promoting a new brand of jeans.

Here’s Jennifer driving her hydrogen car yesterday. Header of Jen with daughter Violet buying balloons for Ben’s birthday on Thursday. Images thanks to Fame.

Pete Wentz is reading up on fatherhood. And watching movies

Pete Wentz really freaks me out as a potential parent. First off, I think the combination of his DNA with Ashlee Simpson’s could be an absolute intellectual nightmare of unparalleled severity. Britney and K-Fed didn’t worry me this much. Secondly, Wentz thinks raising his kids on the road with his band Fallout Boy would be a “really awesome environment ,” for them. Thirdly, he’s getting some of his parenting advice from Look Who’s Talking. But at least he’s smart enough to be taking away the right message from the movie.

Having already admitted that he’s turning into his own father in anticipation of the arrival of his and wife Ashlee Simpson’s baby, Pete Wentz tells PEOPLE that when it comes to prepping to become a parent, “I’m reading a lot of books.”

The Fall Out Boy bassist, 28, at his Angels & King nightspot in Chicago with Ashlee nearby, explains, “The biggest one is The Expectant Father. It’s a really good one.” Not that the printed page is teaching him all he needs to know. Jokingly, he adds, “Also, I’ve watched Look Who’s Talking and Look Who’s Talking Too. I’d be worried if the baby sounded like Bruce Willis.”

As for wise words from his father, Wentz says, “The best advice my dad has given me was, go with your gut. And he said you can’t really have expectations. If I have expectations that he’s going to be a rock star, I’m sure he’ll come out being into sports, and if I have expectations that he’ll be into sports then he’ll be into math or something.”

[From People]

Goodness, math? We wouldn’t want that now. Actually the Look Who’s Talking joke is probably the first thing Pete Wentz has ever said or done that I thought was funny. And that is one hell of a good parenting movie. Important lessons include: don’t sleep with your boss; don’t fall for a cabbie; don’t be too straight-laced; and always, always ignore it if your babies sound like 40-year-olds. That just means they’re mature. All good rules for Wentz and Simpson to follow. Because I think they’re really struggling with that straight-laced issue.

Here are Pete and Ashlee in Hollywood on July 3rd. Images thanks to Fame.

Gillian Anderson claims she eats and sits on her butt while pregnant

The X-Files Gillian Anderson makes pregnancy sound pretty sweet. According to her, she spends most of her time laying around on her butt and eating. Which makes the morning sickness sound significantly less awful. Though I think a lot of us do that without being pregnant too… sad. Gillian has been doing a lot of promotion for the X-Files moved I Want to Believe. Which I can imagine can be pretty strenuous, especially when you’re pregnant. But she seems to have held up pretty well, and is just enjoying her pregnancy and keeping it pretty stress-free.

No working out for Gillian Anderson — who is expecting a child in October.

“The only thing I do when I’m pregnant is eat and sit on my butt!” the X-Files: I Want to Believe star, 39, told Usmagazine.com at the movie’s Hollywood premiere Wednesday. (The flick opens Friday.)

“I’m not really craving anything, but there’s the lazy part of me that thinks, ‘What’s the point in working out until I have the baby?’ Then we’ll actually do something!” she said.

“I know that’s not necessarily the right way to look at it,” she added, “but that’s just me.”

Anderson told Us besides having “a couple of films coming out later in the year that I’ll do some promotion for,” she plans on focusing her life on mommyhood.

She and beau Mark Griffiths are already parents to son Oscar, 20 months. She also has a daughter Piper, 13, from a prior marriage.

[From Us Weekly]

Anderson’s co-star David Duchovny made a bit of a stir by not showing up with his wife, Tea Leoni, at the premiere. He also claimed that he saw a UFO in 1982, but he was really stressed at the time. Which makes it rather unclear as to whether or not he thinks he saw a UFO.

Here’s Gillian and David at the premiere of “The X-Files: I Want to Believe” in Hollywood last night. Images thanks to PR Photos.
