Considering he admitted he lost his virginity at the tender age of 15, it’s a wonder Matthew McConaughey has gone 23 years without getting a girl pregnant. But the 23 year streak has ended (I would guess intentionally): McConaughey and model girlfriend Camila Alves, 22, are expecting a baby together.

Two years ago McConaughey told Oprah “I’ve always dreamed of having children,” he told Oprah. “I go between [wanting] 14 and two. But I do believe my mate will have something to say about that.” No word on any marriage plans. Somehow I doubt that’s super important to McConaughey, but you never know. Something tells me McConaughey will be a really great dad. He’ll probably smoke a bit too much pot around his kid, and likely expose him to some naked bongo drum playing, but much worse has happened to celebrity offspring. I imagine he’ll be the type of parent that Kate Hudson is. Pretty laid back and unconventional, but still an involved, awesome parent. Congrats to them both!

Beyonce Knowles and Jay-Z have been pretty quiet about their five-year relationship from the start. It’s also been rumored for at least the last four years that the two were about to get married. Now several media outlets are reporting that they already exchanged vows at Giorgio Armani’s Paris home over the Christmas holiday. It seems that the best evidence is a lot of information from “insiders,” and the fact that they both returned home with matching tattoos on their ring fingers of the Roman numeral IV. Considering how long they’ve been together and Beyonce’s frequent statements about wanting a big family, this could very well end up being true.

She may have some of the most diva-ish demands on the circuit but friends claim Beyoncé Knowles has wed long time love, Jay Z, in a low key Paris wedding. Insiders say the couple finally tied the knot during a romantic break in the French capital, claiming they are now ‘blissfully happy’. One source says the pair both tattooed personal inscriptions on their wedding fingers to mark the ceremony.

They ‘Didn’t want all the attention that usually follows them around, they just wanted it to be intimate and romantic. It was lovely and they are both blissfully happy. They thought the tattoos would be a lovely personal touch’, the insider reveals.

I would love – just for once – if an “insider” would reveal their true identity. It really would be cause for a celebration. The “insider” was right about the tattoos, so there might be a chance they really did get married. Considering how low-key they’ve been about their relationship, it would make sense for that same mentality to apply to their wedding. On the other hand, it’s hard to imagine someone with Beyonce’s diva reputation not doing it up really big and splashy.

The Sunday Mirror is reporting that Beyonce might already be pregnant. I can’t really spot a visible bump, but I don’t claim to be an expert in that department.

Since her secret wedding last month, Beyonce Knowles has been glowing even more than usual. And friends are suggesting the marriage isn’t the only thing she has kept under wraps. Sources close to the Crazy In Love singer have hinted there could be double celebrations - as she and husband Jay-Z get set to have their first baby.

A friend said: “Beyonce is giving nothing away. She’s always been close to her parents and open about wanting a large family of her own one day.” Beyonce, who starred in the 2006 hit movie Dreamgirls, once said in an interview that she wouldn’t pressure her children to become singers. She said: “We’ll let our children make their own decisions. What if they are tone deaf? You never know.”

The friend added: “Beyonce and Solange have been brought up with strong Christian beliefs. Part of that belief is to be married before having children.”

Of course Beyonce’s rep gave the old, “We don’t comment on private stuff” line. Which always makes me wonder exactly what it is they’re paid to do. Probably just to tell the rest of us they have nothing to say. Beyonce and Jay-Z have been together for so long - and the marriage/baby rumors have been swirling for almost as long – that it’s hard to guess if/when they got married. They seem pretty happy and stable in their relationship. Jay Z recently stepped down as the president of Def Jam records. He said that he was going to focus more on his other endeavors – maybe starting a family is one of those.

Pregnant Halle Berry and the father of her baby, Gabriel Aubry, haven’t been seen out together in some time. Star Magazine reports that it’s because they’re not even living on the same coast. Gabriel is all the way over in NY trying to promote his modeling career while Halle is saying in Malibu. Gabriel owns a restaurant in NY and presumably has to keep track of the business there along with his job requiring him to stay on the East coast.

Star says he’s all too willing to keep his distance because he wants to marry the mother of his baby who refuses to tie the knot and is admittedly marriage-averse after two failed attempts. They could be jumping to conclusions, and hopefully these two will be able to make it work and stay in the same place once the baby comes:

And far! A source close to Halle confirms to Star that Gabriel has been living in Manhattan, while Halle is at her home, 3,000 miles away, in Malibu. And while the couple was spotted shopping for furniture together in LA on January 7, it was their first public outing in more than two months…

Gabriel, a model who also owns a Cuban restaurant in NYC, “still wants to work and build a successful career for himself,” says the source. “It really pulls him away from Halle. He seems to have no firm plans to move west, and it kills her.”

The article then says that Gabriel doesn’t plan to leave Halle though, and that he hopes to be a good father to his child. It seems to be a good sign that these two were seen out shopping for furniture as it might mean that they’re trying to set up house for their child. Halle is reportedly due on February 14.

Avril Lavigne’s rep denies that the pint-sized pop singer is pregnant. A Canadian entertainment blog reported an “exclusive” today that Lavigne’s husband, Deryck Whibley, was telling friends that his sneering bride was in the family way. Avril’s rep says it’s just not true. There’s another rumor that Avril could be having trouble in her marriage. Last week’s National Enquirer reported that Deryck was “acting like a single man” and was seen looking flirty with everyone’s favorite homewrecker Paris Hilton as well as collecting a phone number from another woman at a club on December 17th. It could have all been innocent fun.

Meanwhile Avril has given an undisclosed settlement to the band The Roobinos for their claimed copyright infringement of their 1979 single “Boyfriend.” A settlement doesn’t mean that she’s admitting to infringing the band’s copyright. Her manager says he merely wanted to avoid a costly court battle, and Avril denies ever hearing the song. This is not the first time that Lavigne has been accused of plagiarism.

We got a lot of well-deserved flack for repeating Star Magazine’s incorrect story that Avril only played a couple of songs at a free concert in Burnaby, British Columbia before ditching to go see the Spice Girls. She did play a full set at that show and it’s well documented.

As to why we report with a negative slant on Avril, after reading several self-important interviews with her and seeing how she repeatedly flips off the camera as well as spits on paparazzi, we decided that we don’t like her. She doesn’t seem to like or appreciate her job, and is known for giving listless performances.

It really is celebrity pregnancy season. Katie Homes’ husband’s ex, Nicole Kidman, just announced that she is pregnant with her first biological child. Last night at the premiere of Holmes’ female crime caper movie, Mad Money, her first film in three years, she wore a strapless silver dress with a band right above her stomach. From some angles her stomach is sticking out and she looks pregnant. A false bump was spotted on Katie last year when she wasn’t pregnant, and she looks like she’s really sticking her stomach out from some angles. Katie also wore an odd toga-like dress to the People’s Choice awards and some people speculated that it was an attempt to hide a growing baby bump. So is she pregnant or just slouchy? She could be trying to look less tall next to her husband.

Homes is very athletic and thin, and I can’t see her having a bump like this unless she’s pregnant. It’s hard to tell in that dress, but I’m voting for yes. How convenient for Holmes and Cruise’s PR that she’s pregnant again right at the same time as Kidman and right around the release date of Andrew Morton’s negative biography of her husband. We’ll have to wait and see, though. She really does look like she’s slouching in these photos, but maybe that’s because she wants everyone to get the hint.

There was a rumor that Tom Cruise couldn’t get Katie Holmes’ pregnant on his presumably second attempt, and we’ve all heard the theories that Suri isn’t Tom’s biological baby and that he’s really sterile. Whatever the case, congratulations to Tom and Katie on their second baby if this is true. They aren’t my favorite couple by a long shot, but if they want to have another baby and they’ve been successful we can wish them well. Katie probably feels the same about her husband’s ex. She said on the red carpet that “I’m so happy for [Nicole]. It’s wonderful.”

I hope Mad Money tanks at the box office, though, because it looks like a piece of crap. Fox News reports that the film makes no sense and is not entertaining. They also note that Katie and Tom skipped the post-premiere party. None of Tom and Katie’s friends like the Pinkett-Smiths or the Beckhams showed at the premiere.

Update: Everyone is voting for slouchy, so I’ll have to go with the majority on this one. Oh and she’s also going to run the Boston Marathon. My pregnancy-dar needs to get recalibrated after Nicole Kidman broke it.

As if the Pamela Anderson quickie divorce story could get any more complicated, TMZ is claiming that the 40 year-old ex Baywatch babe is pregnant with her newly estranged pornographer husband’s baby. As to how a pregnancy in the early stages could prompt a woman to file for divorce, Anderson’s ex Rick has said he thinks it’s making her act “crazy” and that he hopes she’ll take back her second divorce petition, after reneging on the first only to file again two weeks later.

TMZ has learned the divorce between Pam Anderson and Rick Salomon is back on and Pam is pregnant!

You’ll recall Anderson filed for divorce last month, but called it off just days later. But sources tell TMZ she is now moving forward with the divorce, even though we know she’s pregnant with his baby.

Salomon has told friends he believes she is “acting crazy” because of the pregnancy and hopes she will settle back into the marriage. Interestingly, in her divorce petition, Anderson asked for spousal support but not child support.

This week’s In Touch claimed these two were attending therapy after Pamela’s first divorce filing. In our article about Pamela’s second divorce filing, I noted that she wrote the end date of their marriage as 12/13, which would mean that she only tried to make it work for one week before deciding to scrap her marriage again. That’s hardly enough time to go to more than one session, but here’s what In Touch had to say about it:

Rick wants to save the marriage, so he agreed to do anything Pam asked - including weekly therapy sessions. “Pam loves Rick, but she’s not sure they were meant to be married,” her pal explains. “Rick, on the other hand, thinks that they’re meant to be together. They are so different in many ways - that’s why Pam insisted on therapy.”

Maybe therapy didn’t work after one session so Pam thought she may as well get out while she can. This isn’t a woman who realizes that relationships have problems that require more than quick fix solutions.

After Pam filed for divorce the first time she wrote on her blog that she was going to make some drastic changes in her life. She said “This is the year I do everything I wanted to do - my way. I have so many great projects - for the environment- for animals. I’m going to be proud of every single day- and make sure I do not veer from the path.”

There’s an entry on Anderson’s blog today that suggests she’s denying pregnancy reports. It’s titled “no” and simply says “no.” In her previous entry she denied being in Australia, as recent reports suggested she was. I think we can all assume that she’s saying she’s not pregnant in this latest post, even if she doesn’t want to explain it.

Nicole Kidman sometimes seems to act as though she doesn’t already have two kids. Vanity Fair did a really great cover story on her a few months ago, and while the article was very good, when Nicole talked about her desire to have a baby, her phrasing made it sound like she’d forgotten that she’s already had two. Coupled with the fact that she said her kids don’t call her mom – they call her Nicole – and she doesn’t seem to see a lot of them – it definitely seems like Conner and Isabella are more Tom’s kids that Nicole’s. Despite whatever issues she has going on with her two children, George Clooney seems to think she’ll make a great mom. And while George isn’t a parent, he’s got that avuncular quality that makes me trust his judgment.

Just hours after Nicole Kidman announced her pregnancy, George Clooney offered up his congratulations. “I’m thrilled for her,” he told PEOPLE at the picket-line-free Critics’ Choice Awards in L.A. Monday night. “[She'll be] a perfect mother.”

(The two have been friends for years, dating back to their work in 1997’s The Peacemaker. Kidman and Clooney famously bet $10,000 on whether he would be married when he turned 40 in 2001. She lost, of course.)

“She’ll be great,” Clooney said of the Aussie actress, already mother to Isabella, 15, and Connor, 12, her adopted children with ex-husband Tom Cruise. “She’ll be a tall mother.”

I didn’t realize height was an indicator of potential good parenting skills. That could explain some of the issues I have with my mother. That could also explain why it’s probably a good thing that George Clooney doesn’t have any kids of his own yet.

In other Clooney news, George lost out to Daniel Day Lewis for best actor at the Critic’s Choice Awards last night, but didn’t seem too stressed about it.

Clooney, who won a best supporting acting Oscar last year for Syriana, took it all in stride, noting, “[Being] a nominee, it’s fine. But when you’re a loser, you’re a loser.”

The actor was also on hand to present the first-annual Joel Siegel Award (named after the late ABC movie critic) to friend and former costar Don Cheadle for his humanitarian work. “The fact that [George] only charged me $1,500, I thought was really nice of him,” Cheadle joked in the press room. “Matt [Damon] was around $2,500, and what Denzel wanted, I won’t even mention.”

The Darfur activist did get serious for a minute, adding that “George is . . . someone who I’ve not only worked with onscreen, but we’ve also done things for the cause – and it’s great to have an ally.”

Clooney is involved in a lot of charitable causes. Despite my joking, he seems like someone who’d be a good dad when he’s ready for it. Of course that means he’d probably have to stop dating a new girl every month… though if memory serves me, he’s been with the current one for almost half a year now. That’s got to be some kind of record. You never know, we may be making George Clooney-related pregnancy announcements sometime soon.

Nicole Richie is going to pop out baby Madden any day now - and she’s scared of giving birth.

Nicole Richie is terrified of childbirth. The closer she gets to her delivery date the more her anxiety she’s building up. She’s afraid of the pain and obsessing over all the bad things that might happen. To get a grip on herself she’s being treated by the same hypnotist who’s helped her in the past to give up smoking. This specialist has worked with a lot of Hollywood clients who need to deal with dieting or with assorted addictions, including drugs. He’s helping Nicole to relax and stay calm and think positive thoughts as the big day approaches.

Nicole Richie is terrified of giving birth, and I don’t think this is unreasonable at all. Next time you see a little newborn baby, which is tiny and cute sure, but not THAT tiny. Think about how big the baby is and then think about the size of the exit passage, then buy yourself a big pack of condoms. Someone should have told Jamie Lynn Spears about this.

Reports are circulating that Nicole Richie and baby daddy Joel Madden have moved in together in Los Angeles, preparing for the birth of their child. Which is really nice, for some reason I just really like this couple. They seem so normal, but waaay cooler than most people.

The wee baby the couple are expecting is a boy, as revealed by Nicole’s father Lionel. I actually think the kid will be a girl, and that Lionel Richie was just trying to throw us off the scent! Can we gamble this online somewhere?

I can’t wait for this baby to be born. Not because babies are cute, but because I’m betting Nicole will lose that baby weight in days. Two weeks tops. And then when Paris Hilton has a baby there will be a big contest to see if she can lose the weight faster. Sure, you might think this is stupid, but you have clearly never been in a room with a group of new mothers. They also compare birth stories. And nipples.

Halle Berry seems to be enjoying her pregnancy, being seen out and about and FABULOUS at various red carpet events. Every pregnant woman on Earth must hate her. With a passion. Where are her cankles?

But it seems while we might be envying Halle’s pregnancy gorgeousness, we don’t need to envy her at other times.

“It is true that I am three times the girl I usually am. I have to say there are some really wonderful things that come along with that,” she said Saturday night in accepting an award at the Palm Springs International Film Festival. “This is the first red carpet that I’ve really walked down where I didn’t have to think about holding in my stomach – because I can’t.”

Berry, 41, expecting her first child with boyfriend Gabriel Aubry, told the black-tie crowd of 1,700 at the festival’s awards gala that she also can now finally enjoy a big dinner.

“It’s the first time I’ve been to an awards show where they served a meal and I actually ate it – the whole thing,” she said. “I was eating off everybody else’s plate and that felt very liberating and good.”

I can imagine nothing worse than having to wear a tight dress, suck in my belly, then skip a meal of delicious food. Which is probably why I have a big fat ass and don’t look like Halle Berry. Although, the dress would be truly fabulous - remember Halle’s 2002 Oscar dress? - and you could always request a doggie bag for your dinner. They should just give all the actresses their meals in take out cartons.

Halle this week shared her theory on why Catwoman sucked - the villan was lame. The villan, in case you were one of the many people who missed this at your local cinema, was played by Sharon Stone, who was the head of a cosmetics company who created an anti-aging cream that turned your face to stone without continued use. She was foiled by her own face cream when her face turned to marble. Who would have thought this wouldn’t be a success?

She (Halle) insists she couldn’t have predicted the film would flop.

She says, “It was definitely different from any other (movie) I had seen. I thought that we needed a better villain, but I was outnumbered in that area.

“You just never know how people are going to respond. I thought that Monster’s Ball was going to end my career. And look what happened. You just never know.”

Why would you have ever signed onto Monster’s Ball if you thought it would end your career? Catwoman made Halle a cool $14 million according to IMDB, but what was her motivation for acing a role she thought would end her Hollywood lifestyle?

Halle was great at cracking that whip though. I saw her swinging it around on Oprah and it was hot. Perhaps the whip was another plot flaw though - who has ever seen a cat crack a whip? Wouldn’t you need thumbs?

Halle is due to give birth in March, and she also has a few movie projects on the boil, including Tulia, in which she plays a lawyer. Production has been delayed because of her pregnancy.

We were wrong about the state of Nicole Kidman’s womb - she is pregnant, according to her rep and is predictably “thrilled.” Congratulations to Nicole and Keith:

Nicole Kidman and husband Keith Urban are expecting their first child, her rep confirms.

“The couple are thrilled,” Catherine Olim says in a statement.

For Kidman, this will be her third child. She and her former husband, Tom Cruise adopted two children during their marriage: Isabella, now 15, and Connor, 12.

As for where Kidman and Urban, who will be a first-time parent, may bring up their impending arrival, the couple, though both from Down Under, purchased a farm near Leipers Fork, Tenn., a half-hour southwest of Nashville, in 2007.

I was such a skeptic about those pregnancy reports as the gossip rags were getting to be like the boy who cried that the famous frozen-faced lady was pregnant over and over again, but this is wonderful news for Nicole. I hope everything goes perfect for her with her pregnancy and upcoming baby. She has spoken so frequently about wanting a baby and it’s so nice to hear her dreams have come true.

Nicole was photographed out looking happy as she lunched with a group of friends in Sydney on Sunday. I bet she broke the good news to them.
