Yesterday we covered Nicole Kidman’s glowing and enviably gorgeous appearance at the CMT Awards on Monday to support her husband, country singer Keith Urban, who was nominated for best male video. I said that she barely looked pregnant to me and many of you schooled me that all women show differently and that there are some women who don’t show until the very end of their pregnancies. I was big as a house from the fifth month on, so it’s hard for me to relate.

There is some speculation that she’s still using Botox and Restylane since she looks perfectly fresh-faced still, but others say that she’s got that pregnancy glow and it could be compensating for a lapse in visits to her surgeon. Commenter headache points us to documentation about Botox online, which says that they recommend against use during pregnancy, but that it is still up to the patient. Restylane is similarly advised against, but there are no definitive studies. It’s possible Nicole’s face just filled out during pregnancy. A Botox advisory site states that “Pregnant women who have enjoyed the benefits of the effects of Botox on the signs of ageing may find that this cosmetic treatment becomes superfluous during pregnancy, as water retention naturally puffs out the skin causing fine lines such as crow’s feet to become less visible.”

Either way, Nicole is looking great and you can’t underestimate the ability of a stylist, makeup artist and hairdresser to transform a woman.

Nicole told Access Hollywood in a brief interview before the show Monday night that she’s had terrible morning sickness. She also revealed that she’s waiting for her third trimester:

“I’ve had severe morning sickness…

“[I’m] good actually, really good. Waiting for the third trimester. Everyone says that is hard work.”

I don’t think you know hard work as a mom until the kid can start to walk, but that’s just my experience. I also only have one child, and I’m sure there are many moms of two children and more who would shake their heads at me calling just one child work.

Pete Wentz denies pregnancy rumors
A couple of days ago Ashlee Simpson’s brooding mate, rocker Pete Wentz, e-mailed MTV to deny the claims that his intended bride was pregnant. He likened the stories of a pregnancy to a “witch hunt,” saying that the press was all too eager to drum up pregnancy rumors whenever celebrities got engaged. When asked directly if he was denying pregnancy reports he responded “yeah.”

This was after he and Ashlee made a stupid parody video that featured Ashlee wearing a big fake belly and acting like a hick. The credits listed “and the unborn baby, as himself,” and Pete said “Street date, July 2008″ as if he was disclosing Ashlee’s due date.

Ashlee Simpson gets flustered, calls pregnancy question “inappropriate”
When directly asked if she was pregnant during an an interview yesterday, Ashlee said “Some things you want to keep personal.” She did even more verbal sidestepping when MTV news asked her about it, and again said it was a personal matter:

The newly-engaged singer also told MTV News, ” I just think it’s an inappropriate question to ask any woman. For me, that’s something that I didn’t ever want to respond to, because I think it’s an inappropriate question.”

Simpson, however, did not put the rumors to rest. “Some things, you want to keep personal, and I think that when people deny [pregnancy reports], it’s probably because it’s something they want to keep personal.”

People claims Ashlee is pregnant and planning a shotgun wedding next month
The latest and most legitimate gossip magazine to claim that Ashlee is pregnant is People. They claim to have a source that states that not only is she pregnant, but that she and Pete are planning to marry next month “at a friend’s house in La Jolla, California.”

Great timing for Ashlee
All of this news comes at a time when Ashlee could definitely use the publicity for her third album, Bittersweet World, which is out next week. You can’t help but think it’s all less than a coincidence that it’s coming out now.

In Touch has an exclusive story that Tobey Maguire and Jennifer Meyer are expecting their second child. Maguire and Meyer have 17 month-old daughter, Ruby, and they tied the knot in a ceremony in Hawaii in September of last year.

This article isn’t well sourced, but it could be true considering that it’s about Maguire and Meyer and you don’t hear much gossip about those two. When something does pop up it seems more likely to be accurate since it’s not like they’re in the tabloids every week.

In a world exclusive, In Touch can reveal that Tobey Maguire and his wife, Jennifer Meyer, are expecting their second child later this year — and they’re hoping it’s a boy. Jen is approaching her second trimester and she’s due in early October. “Jen and Tobey are over-the-moon happy,” a friend of the couple reveals. “Since they already have a daughter, they would love a little boy, but of course they would be just as thrilled with another daughter.” The insider says that Jen and Tobey always planned to have another child within two years of the birth of their daughter, Ruby, who is 17 months old. “Jen’s doing great,” her friend reveals. “She had an easy pregnancy last time around, so this time it should also be a breeze.” The couple is in the process of building their dream home for their expanding family on a recently purchased lot in Brentwood that cost nearly $10 million!

In photos of Meyer taken at the beginning of this month she hardly looks pregnant, but if she’s only three months along as In Touch states she might not be showing yet. Still, this is In Touch we’re talking about, so they might just have seen a picture where her shirt is billowing out and decided to run with this pregnancy story.

Update: US Weekly is reporting that Meyer isn’t pregnant, according to a source, but it’s not like an official rep denial or anything and has about the same level of legitimacy as the original report.

Nicole Kidman is still barely looking pregnant and she’s supposedly due in July, according to a statement given by her mother. That would make her six months along. Maybe her dress is just designed so well that she doesn’t really show, along with the fact that she’s tall with a slender build. It just seems odd that she’s still not looking pregnant yet. She did get boobs, though, that’s for sure.

Kidman was at the CMT Music Awards last night to support her husband, Keith Urban. Urban was nominated for Male Video of the Year for “I Told You So,” but Trace Adkins took home the award in that category. Urban performed “Raise The Barn” at the awards last night with Brooks & Dunn. The big winner of the night was Kellie Pickler with three trophies for her song “I Wonder.”

Us Weekly is claiming that they’ve “confirmed” that Ashlee Simpson is indeed pregnant with Pete Wentz’s child. I don’t even want to imagine how much eyeliner and odd bangs that kid would come out with. I’m not totally sure that I’m buying the Us confirmation. To me it’s only “confirmed” when Ashlee, Pete, or their rep says something. To be “confirmed” it need to be said by someone whose name can be printed. But Us is going along with the story – and I certainly wouldn’t be surprised if it turns out to be true.

Ashlee Simpson is pregnant, a source confirmed to Usmagazine.com. The singer, 23, is expecting her first child with fiancé Pete Wentz, 28.

Simpson and the Fall Out Boy frontman announced their engagement Wednesday.

“We are thrilled to confirm their engagement and congratulate this happy couple,” a spokesperson for the couple told Us. “Beyond that there is nothing to say.”
Simpson’s rep had no comment.

I’m not sure how that’s different or better than any of the rumors that were floating around when they first got engaged. I’m assuming their source must be really reliable if they’re willing to call it confirmed. Let’s say it is true: I’m not sure what kind of parents Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz would be. She’s sort of a “I can lip-sync and blame it on acid reflux” and “I can have major surgery and deny it” kind of dumb, and he’s pretty “It’s a good idea to take cell phone pictures of 9/10ths of my penis” kind of dumb. They just don’t seem like the two brightest bulbs in the box, which makes you worry a bit. So I’m going to save my official congrats, pending confirmation by someone who’s willing to go on the record with their name, and the results of the couple’s IQ test.

This week’s National Enquirer reports that Jamie Lynn’s fiance, Casey Aldridge, 18, was drinking heavily at a party and that pregnant Jamie Lynn stepped in to try and stop a fight between two of his friends. Fists were flying and Jamie Lynn got elbowed hard in the mouth. She was crying and screaming, and the way Casey responded was to try and get her to shut up:

According to a new report from The National Enquirer, Jamie Lynn was injured when she attempted to break up a fight between two of Casey’s friends:

“Jamie Lynn decided she could break it up, but got elbowed hard in the mouth by one of the boy,” says an eyewitness. “She went crazy, screaming at everyone….crying, screaming, and covering her mouth.”

“Casey was so drunk, he just kept trying to hush her up.”

Jamie Lynn just turned 17, and she’s pregnant, but it’s not like she was said to be drinking at the party. She probably thought she could stop the fight since she was one of the only sober people there and assumed that the guys would respect a pregnant woman. Either they didn’t see her or she just got in the way, because she ended up hurt.

Why she was even at a party were teens were drinking is up to question, and given the way the night unfolded it clearly wasn’t a good place for a pregnant girl to be hanging out. At least she’s been trying to lead a quiet life in Louisiana, but she’s still getting into some trouble there. Her fiance was even said to have threatened photographers with a gun he had in his four wheeler. I hope Jamie Lynn makes better choices in life soon, because she’s about to have a baby who depends on her. As it is, she’s hanging out with a young crowd that’s acting their age, which is much too young to be responsible for a child.

The New York Daily News has an article today alleging that Beyonce is pregnant, and that’s the real reason for her “quickie nuptials” to Jay-Z last Friday. We still have yet to receive any official confirmation of a wedding from the couple or their reps, but some random details have leaked out about the ceremony, including a photo of Beyonce’s alleged bouquet. It’s super tacky and reeks of Tina Knowles. The Daily News seems to think Beyonce’s got a bun in the oven, and that’s the real reason the longtime couple finally tied the knot.

Did a pregnancy send Jay-Z and Beyoncé running down the aisle? Buzz is building that this weekend’s quickie nuptials were actually a shotgun wedding. It would be the second for the Knowles’ family: At just 17, Beyoncé’s little sis, Solange, wed boyfriend Daniel Smith in the Bahamas after learning she was pregnant.

While reps for both J and B are neither confirming nor denying baby talk, the diva has indicated in the past that she’d like a big family: “I want to get married, and I really want a family. In a perfect world I’d have two boys and a girl.”

That seems like a whole lot of speculation to me. First off, we have no reason to believe it was a quickie wedding. Just because the press wasn’t informed about it doesn’t mean it hasn’t been in the works for months. It seems like the fact that it was a small ceremony that happened 3 days after they got their marriage license makes people think it was a hastily made decision. Jay Z and Beyonce have always kept their relationship really low profile. It’s quite likely they’ve been engaged for a while.

The way Beyonce and her mom go all-out on everything (some would say to a ridiculously tacky extent), I highly doubt they’d rush a once-in-a-lifetime event like Beyonce’s wedding. I think based on the Daily News’ evidence, we could accuse just about every bride of being pregnant.

Lynne Spears, still dealing with two daughters whose lives have gone off the rails, is now demanding that younger daughter, pregnant teen Jamie Lynn, draft up a pre-nuptial agreement before marrying her babydaddy, Casey Aldridge. Sources say that Lynne has come to terms with Jamie Lynn’s decision to marry Aldridge, but still harbors doubts about the boy’s intentions and level of commitment, which is why she suggested the pre-nup.

Pregnant teenager Jamie Lynn Spears has a diamond ring on her finger, but there are still obstacles to overcome before she and Casey Aldridge, 18, can be married. Her mother, Lynne Spears, has insisted that the couple sign a prenuptial contract to protect the Zoey 101 star’s assets.

“The contract is already drawn up and ready to go,” an insider confirms to In Touch. “Lynne’s not sure marriage is a good idea, but she’ll go along with that if that’s what Jamie Lynn wants — as long as Casey signs the contract.”

A Spears family confidant says that Lynne, who flew home to Kentwood, La., to celebrate Jamie Lynn’s April 4 birthday, is worried about Casey. “He doesn’t seem as committed to the relationship as Jamie Lynn,” says the confidant, adding that the family is aware of the rumors that he’s cheated. “Lynne is keeping an eye on him.”

Lynne is the one responsible for the Britney/K-Fed prenup as well, which probably saved Britney from losing half of her fortune during the ugly divorce and ongoing custody battle. While it’s true that Brit has been ordered to foot the bill for her ex’s attorney, and pay child support to him since losing custody of the children, K-Fed has no claims to her fortune other than the original $300k settlement he got when the divorced was finalized. Lynne actually did something right there! Funny how Lynne is smart when it comes to her daughters’ fortunes, but can’t seem to handle all the other aspects of decent parenting, isn’t it?

Jamie Lynn Spears is pregnant and officially engaged, all at the tender young age of 17 (as of this Friday). The actress was spotted wearing an engagement ring a little over a week ago, and since then fiancé Casey Aldridge’s cousin (and a few of Jaime Lynn’s friends) have confirmed the impending nuptials. OK! claims to have several exclusives on Jaime Lynn’s wedding plans – though of course we have to wait until it’s on newsstands for all of the specifics.

OK says Jamie Lynn will wait until after the baby is born to marry Casey. Her friends speculate that she’ll want to set the date several months after the birth so that she can get her figure back in order to wear her perfect wedding dress. There’s also a bit of talk about her dream wedding – though something tells me that in Jamie Lynn’s dreams, her wedding was never supposed to happen quite so soon – and probably not with her new baby at the ceremony.

The Zoey 101 star is expecting her first baby in late June with boyfriend Casey Aldridge, and is happily riding out the last months of her pregnancy with Casey by her side. After announcing her pregnancy exclusively to OK! in December, Britney Spears’ little sis has been busy lying low in her hometown of Kentwood, La. As OK! was the first to report, Jamie Lynn and a cousin recently registered for her baby shower at a Babies ‘R’ Us store in the nearby city of Baton Rouge.

And those closest to Jamie Lynn tell OK! the teen plans to stay true to her small-town roots, most likely exchanging vows with Casey in Kentwood at “Serenity,” the estate owned by Britney — who obviously leads the list of possible bridesmaids. “She’ll have the baby there, and soon after, she will also get married there,” says a pal of the teen. “I expect she’ll want to wait at least several months to get her figure back so she can wear a beautiful wedding gown and then have her dream wedding.”

You can’t help but worry for anyone who gets married at 17. And to be fair, you can’t help but worry for anyone who has a baby at 17. Putting the two together seems like a lot of pressure on such a young couple. They’re certainly better off financially than any other 17-year-old couple I’ve ever heard of, but money doesn’t equal maturity. Hopefully Jamie Lynn’s got a better head on her shoulders than some of her family members… or will at least hire a very, very qualified nanny.

Minnie Driver, who is reportedly almost five month’s pregnant, has refused to comment on the father of her baby, simply saying that she wanted to keep him out of the media glare. In an interview with Girl Magazine before she confirmed her pregnancy, she said she had a boyfriend at the time that was “not famous and is an Australian.”

Driver’s costar on FX series “The Riches,” Eddie Izzard, made a comment that suggests that the father of Minnie’s baby is already out of the picture. At least that’s what I read into it:

Minnie is keeping mum on the father of her baby, but her The Riches co-star Eddie Izzard says she’s ready: “She’ll be a good parent because you need love, and as long as you have one parent giving love then the kid’s going to do great,” Eddie tells In Touch.

Maybe they asked him “How do you think Minnie will cope with being a single parent?” but it sure sounds like he’s saying she’s single now. That could be why she declined to name the father.

Driver, 38, recently said that she’s doing well with her pregnancy and that she feels “really good, happy and healthy.” She said it was “great just to be able to eat” and that the only thing she craves is olives.
