Was everyone else startled when they first saw Kelly Osbourne at the Emmys on Sunday? She has lost quite a lot of weight. So much weight she pretty much looks like a different person. Not all of it is the weight though – she did away with the lavender hair, and now she’s doing some strange ashy blonde that ages her terribly. Anyway, Kelly took her new body to the Pussycat Dolls show last night, after tweeting the above photo. Kelly performed with Carmen Electra and Mya, and Kelly’s mom showed up with her new face to watch the performance.

Can I just say something? I’m a little disappointed in Kelly. I want her to be happy and healthy, but I think she’s just spinning to a bad place, honestly. Her weight loss is drastic, and she just recently broke it off with her fiancé, who broke her heart after probably-definitely cheating on her. This whole thing strikes me as “I’m doing fine on my own” move, and it’s not really coming across as “over it.”

Plus, she just looks extremely trashy in these getups. And not in a “trashy in a sexy way.” Poor Kelly.

Nicole Scherzinger of the Pussycat Dolls has tried to create a solo career in the past, to disastrous (or rather, terribly bland) results. So she came crawling back to her roots and the girls continued performing as a group. Well, when the Pussycat Dolls version of the Slumdog Millionaire hit Jai Ho was released in mid-March, the album cover said that the song was by “The Pussycat Dolls featuring Nicole Scherzinger.” Odd, but not particularly noteworthy. Now it is being reported that Nicole may actually be leaving the group to pursue a solo career (again), but won’t announce it officially until after the group’s current tour with Britney Spears’ Circus show is over. In a recent concert in Pheonix, one of the Dolls, Melody Thornton, gave a telling shout-out to the crowd: “Thank you so much for supporting me – even if I’m not featured, you know what I’m saying?” Ouch.

The Pussycat Dolls version of “Jai Ho” and “Hush Hush” have been released under the name “Pussycat Dolls featuring Nicole Scherzinger” instead of the usual “Pussycat Dolls.”

“Thank you so much for supporting me – even if I’m not featured, you know what I’m saying?” Thornton shouted in front of a packed audience.

The singer even sounded a little choked up as she added, “You can do anything you want to do. Don’t give up on your dreams and don’t let anyone stop you – ever!”

Scherzinger reportedly shot Thornton a nasty look after the remarks.

The group’s label has kept mum on why Scherzinger has received special attention, leading some to think she may be leaving the Dolls to pursue a solo career.

Other news sources are also reporting that Nicole might be leaving the group, and I tend to believe this. This wouldn’t be the first time that the band seemed to be on the verge of a breakup, and it might not be the last. Considering how well Nicole’s solo career went last time, it wouldn’t be surprising if she comes back to the group again. She was always meant to be the front woman, but she has always seemed more invested in her own fame than that of her band. Even if they aren’t officially breaking up yet, Melody’s shout-out proves that there is at the very least some animosity among the band members – never a good sign.

Afraid she was running the risk of being taken too seriously, Kim Kardashian decided to slut it up on Friday by dancing with the Pussycat Dolls in Los Vegas. Kim donned a little sailor suit and focused on such complex tasks as not slipping on the water in the bathtub. Which to be fair is a pretty common problem for dancers. And the elderly.

Last week, bountiful-bootied celebutante Kim Kardashian performed with the Pussycat Dolls, much to the delight of a hooting and hollering crowd. And even though the main man in Kim’s life, NFL superstar Reggie Bush, wasn’t able to be there in person, he still managed to catch her in all her scantily clad glory.

“We instant-messaged right before the show,” Kim told OK! at the Sunkist/MTV Ultimate End of Summer Bash at The London West Hollywood. “He could see the costume and I did my whole little performance for him to show him what I was going to be doing. He asked me to take a video.”

And while Kim said she hopes to work with the Dolls again soon, she admitted that their saucy dance numbers are not as easy as you might think. “I was so nervous,” she explained. “There was water in the bathtub and I didn’t want to slip… I didn’t practice it with the water to start with.” Regardless, Kim calls the whole experience, “exhilarating… very empowering.”

Apparently Kim’s efforts at weight loss have been quite fruitful – a little too much so, in fact. She recently said that she’s trying to lose some of the infamous junk in her famous trunk – and TMZ reports that Kim surprised everyone with just how much she’d slimmed down.

Britney Spears is working on a new music video for her upcoming single, “Radar.” She will be filming in England next week, and the NY Post reports that the video will feature Britney and her friends looking for a guy she met at a club. Britney is co-directing and “wants to make sure it’s exactly right,” according to her manager, Larry Rudolph.

Meanwhile Britney shot a cameo in the Pussycat Dolls video for the song “When I Grow Up” on Wednesday. She filmed a scene in which she’s driving a car and waving at the Dolls as they pass. The Dolls are singing in the car, which is a blue convertible Chevy Impala, and catch Britney’s eye. It’s described as a “very short sequence,” according to an insider quoted by US Weekly. Britney is said to have had “a lot of fun with it.”

It’s nice to hear stories about Britney getting back to work instead of learning every detail of her personal life. There haven’t even been many paparazzi photos of her recently. Maybe this is the time for her comeback and it will be one that seems gradual and natural for her.

I thought Paris Hilton already celebrated her 27th birthday by dressing like a My Little Pony in remembrance of her childhood and less penile-looking pre-plastic surgery nose, but she decided to have yet another blow out, with blow being the operative word. She donned her Halloween costume of choice and dressed like a slutty policewoman to perform with the Pussycat Dolls burlesque troupe in Las Vegas on Saturday night. Paris also graced the gaping crowd with a performance in a giant champagne class while wearing a white sparkly bodice and feather boa. That far-away look in her half-lidded eyes as she groped herself is more evocative of Anna Nicole than Marilyn Monroe. She’s got to be pissed that Lohan stole her thunder with a topless photo shoot that just came out today. Just get more naked next time, Paris. UK scientist Patrick Mallucci spent many hours of research looking for the perfect breast to aid you in your decision. His research involved looking at lad’s magazines. In his lecture, titled Concepts in Design for Breast Augmentation, he will express the hope that his insights are used by surgeons providing breast enlargements.

The operation is Britain’s most popular cosmetic surgery procedure, with 6,156 performed last year.

Mr Mallucci said: “I studied a wide variety of photographs of the most popular topless models to work out the various proportions they had in common and what made those particular features attractive.

“These findings allowed me to form a template around which to plan a breast augmentation, and set a standard of aesthetics.

“Obviously personal interpretation and expression has to be accounted for, but this has allowed me to develop a template that I have been using successfully for some time.”

The key aesthetic elements are nipple position and the proportion between the upper and lower halves of the breast, he said.

“The ideal is a 45 to 55 per cent proportion – that is the nipple sits not at the half-way mark down the breast, but at about 45 per cent from the top.”

He added: “All of the models I looked at conformed to these parameters. None of them were augmentedand yet they were clearly considered to have beautiful breasts, so I wanted to examine how that could be achieved in someone not so well-endowed by using an implant.

“It’s about wanting to create something as close to perfection as possible.”
