Just when you were hoping that the only reason Tony Romo showed up at Ashlee Simpson’s wedding was due to extensive cajoling or a hefting bribe from Joe Simpson, it looks like he’s willing to hang out with Jessica when there’s not a lot of cash and public interest at stake. The Dallas Cowboys quarterback was spotted having dinner with his maybe-estranged girlfriend, Jessica Simpson, on Saturday.

After watching Papa Joe Simpson marry little sister Ashlee to bassist Pete Wentz, Tony headed back to Texas for the Colonial golf tourney while Jessica went to Cabo San Lucas with her parents.

But abstinence makes the heart grow fonder.

Saturday night, Tony and Jessica shared a corner booth for two at N9NE Steakhouse in downtown Dallas’ Victory Park. The couple said hello to Cowboys receiver-kick returner Isaiah Stanback, who was dining at N9NE with his parents.

Good for them I guess. Jessica starred in a television show about her doomed marriage, she called Romo her “future husband” in a recent interview, and she admits that she loves seeing pictures of herself in the tabloids. It’s not like she’s going to wise up enough to realize that she needs to keep her relationship under wraps if she wants to preserve it. Maybe her dad is the one who leaked the news of their dinner to the Dallas Morning News. It would be very much in character for him to make sure it’s known that her daughter isn’t the sad sap the press is making her out to be.

As for the story reported by the National Enquirer that Jessica cheated on Tony with Jared Leto and Zach Braff, Leto’s rep has said that “There is no truth whatsoever to the article.” The National Enquirer is not Star, and I bet they had at least one source. That doesn’t mean that I think it’s true, just that I wouldn’t put it past her.

Estranged couple Sean Penn and Robin Wright Penn have just reconciled. The couple filed for divorce last month amid rumors that Sean had been cheating. Sean was photographed with model Petra Nemcova at various Oscar parties, but apparently he’s had a change of heart. At a recent Eddie Vedder concert, Sean and Robin were seen together, and Sean even dedicated a song to her. I guess those lame moves actually work on some women, because that same day, Robin dropped her divorce case.

Sean Penn’s divorce to Robin Wright Penn has been called off.

Court officials confirm to Extra that a dismissal was filed and granted on Tuesday.

The same day, Extra reported the pair hit an Eddie Vedder concert in San Francisco, where Penn, 47 — who flirted with Petra Nemcova at the Oscars — dedicated a song to his wife, 42, on stage for her birthday.

He originally filed divorce papers in Marin County December 7, his attorney Mindy Ross told Usmagazine.com, but the petition was dismissed December 18.

On December 21, she filed her own request for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences. Penn’s divorce papers listed November 30 as the date of their separation; she listed the split date as December 1.

The couple, who have been married for over 11 years, have two kids: Dylan Francis, 16, and Hopper Jack, 14.

Sean and Robin have a reputation for being emotional, volatile and up-and-down with each other, even when they are working together on a project. Famed director John Cassavetes, who directed the couple in “She’s So Lovely,” said that working with them was difficult. “The beginning and the end of every day is how Sean and Robin are getting along,” the director said during shooting in 1997. “If they have a bad morning, Sean’s broken up about it.”

I hope it works out for the couple this time. But I can’t help but wonder if maybe Sean went divorce-attorney-shopping after the papers were filed, and found out what it would cost him to divorce his wife of 11 years in the State of California. Yep, I’m romantic that way.

Lost stars Evangeline Lilly, 28, and Dominic Monaghan, 31, are said to have quietly rekindled their romance this February after breaking up three months ago. They met while filming the complicated castaway drama and were often photographed surfing and swimming in Hawaii together where the series was filmed. Monaghan’s character Charlie Pace was killed off the show last season, so he moved back to LA to continue his career. Lilly had to stay in Hawaii to film, and the distance was too much for them. They were reported to have broken up last November after three years together, when Monaghan was seen out with another woman. Neither commented on the relationship at the time.

Now Star reports that they’re back together, and that Lilly flew from Hawaii to Hollywood to attend the opening of Monaghan’s photography exhibit. Maybe they’re just friends and she’s being supportive, but if she traveled all that way they could have reunited:

Just three months after splitting up, Lost lovers Evangelina Lilly and Dominic Monaghan have quietly patched things up. The 28-year-old Canadian even flew from Hawaii, where the ABC show films, to Hollywood for the opening of Dominic’s photography show on March 13.

“They never stopped loving each other,” a source tells Star,. “She remained in Hawaii for the show, and he moved back to L.A. when he was killed off, so the distance took its toll. They decided to take a break, but it was really hard on them both.”

Frequent telephone calls and visits just reinforced to Evangeline and Dominic, that they belonged together. “It was as simple as that.”

I really like these two together and I hope this news is true. Many people commented about this relationship that they couldn’t see what gorgeous Lilly sees in quirky Dominic, but according to at least one study men who are less attractive then their wives make the best husbands, and it’s nice to see people together who aren’t both drop-dead gorgeous.

Still, we have the pictures from that night and Dominic was seen flirting with a cute brunette, while Lilly was chatting with friends. Maybe these two took pains not to be photographed together.

The National Enquirer ran an item a short while ago claiming that Owen Wilson had fallen off the wagon and was calling Kate Hudson and trying to win her back. Now they say that he spent the night at her house and that they’re back together but are wisely trying to keep it from the public.

Owen spent the night at Kate’s Pacific Palisades home recently before jetting off to Hawaii, The Enquirer has learned exclusively.

“Owen has been secretly meeting Kate since the beginning of the year - at first for 20 minutes here or there, but the visits gradually became longer, revealed an insider.

“Then Owen ended up spending the night at her place.

“Owen and Kate are back together, but they’re not ready to take their relationship public.”

The Enquirer adds that “insiders” are speculating if Kate Hudson is pregnant, and we were all over that on Friday. Hudson hasn’t been seen out in a form-fitting dress in some time and it seemed like something was up. Commentors pointed out that she did wear a fitted dress and skirt to an appearance on the Regis & Kelly show, and she wore a lovely tight gown to the BAFTA Awards this weekend, which seems to put a rest to that rumor.

According to The Enquirer, Owen’s drinking is under control now despite his relapse, and they say that Kate is helping him work through his issues. The article’s supposed source claims that “they are taking things slowly,” but that Kate “is the one true love of his life.”

We’ll have to wait and see if this one is true, and the evidence is sketchy. These two had an on and off relationship and were very low key about it until Kate showed up at an after party for the premiere of Owen’s movie with his brothers, “The Wendell Baker Story,” last Spring. They broke it off shortly afterwards. Although you want to hope they can make it work, those type of relationships rarely do unless one person makes a major change in their life. It seems like Owen had a transformative experience after the trauma he went through last year and maybe he has changed enough to make it work with Kate - if he even hooked up with her again.

Kylie Minogue is just my favourite little Aussie, and ever since her break up with Olivier Martinez we’ve been hoping that she would find new love and have some babies. Now it seems she has a plan.

“Kylie has taken him back - with a new set of rules,” a friend of Miss Minogue’s told the Daily Mail.

“Ollie has agreed to try for a baby. That was always the stumbling block in their relationship. They have both been single for a year and Kylie has realised she has never had anyone that has matched up to him.

“A month ago, a mutual Parisian friend passed a message on to Kylie that Ollie was pining for her and deeply regretted the break-up. Two weeks later, Ollie called her late one night when he was a bit drunk. That was their first conversation in almost a year.

The Daily Mail adds that the couple spent much of the weekend together, with Olivier’s dog Sheeba. Kylie has had a long history of spending time with the pooch, often being seen taking her on walks in Paris. Which probably means that the phone calls of the last few weeks aren’t the first contact the couple have had.

While Martinez’s family are happy to see the couple together, apparently Kylie’s aren’t pleased, although the Daily Mail offers no explanation. Maybe it could be those rumours about Olivier’s sex scene with Diane Lane in the film Unfaithful – some viewers thought they were a little too convincing.

The steamy sex scenes in the 2002 thriller, which also starred Richard Gere, were made to look so lifelike that internet gossips have claimed that the actor’s went one step further during taping.

But 42-year-old Lane - who is now happily married to ‘No Country For Old Men’ actor, Josh Brolin - insists that the rumours are not true.

Mercy me, no no, no. That was wishful thinking on somebody’s part,” Lane told US talk show host, Tyra Banks.

“That’s not for me. That’s a whole different thing, and I like this industry better than that one.”

How could you possibly manage to fool everyone on the set? Surely someone would notice - I hope that there is big difference between fake sex and real sex. Actually, I can’t imagine many things less appealing than sex, on a film set, with strangers watching.

Jessica Simpson is back with an old flame, quarterback Tony Romo. The Dallas Cowboys player is said to have gone home with her to Texas for Thanksgiving with her family.

It was the day after Thanksgiving – but Jessica Simpson’s family was more than happy to hold off their dinner so she could return home with her new boyfriend, Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo.

The couple showed up at Jessica’s grandparents new home in Waco, Texas, on November 23 (a day late, since Tony had a game to play on Thanksgiving) and received a “hero’s welcome” from Joe and Tina Simpson and Jessica’s grandparents, according to an onlooker. While Tony has denied reports that he and Jessica are dating, insiders say the pair are definitely involved – and they’re getting more serious.

Tony Romo was last linked to actress Sofia Bush from One Tree Hill after breaking off a relationship with singer Carrie Underwood. Jessica Simpson was said to be dating Owen Wilson after they were seen out together, but that seems to have been short-lived. Simpson and Tony Romo last rekindled their relationship over the summer. Maybe they’re like Paris and Stavros and just can’t get over each other.

Simpson is not as super-skinny as she was when she first lost weight, and now looks like she’s gained a healthy ten pounds. The tabloids are all over that, and chalk her minor weight gain up to recently firing her trainer, Harley Pasternak, who also works with her ex, John Mayer, and his new girlfriend, Minka Kelly. It was said to be awkward for Jessica.

Jessica has rehired trainer Mike Alexander, who helped her get in shape for her role as Daisy Duke in the Dukes of Hazzard.

When celebrities gain and lose weight, and gain and lose partners, it reminds us that the ups and downs in our lives and on our scales are pretty normal, too. And we can focus on them instead of paying attention to all the stress we deal with on an everyday basis. So thanks, Jessica Simpson, for having a rough time of it, but it seems like you’re coming out on top again, and those are the best stories of all.

Mary-Kate Olsen and Paris Hilton’s longtime on-off-on-but-now-off boyfriend, Stavros Niarchos, were seen making out at the Chateau Marmont on November 12. Then the two former lovers headed to Hyde for some more public canoodling. All the tabloids are buzzing with the news this week, with Life and Style stepping it up a notch by declaring a feud between Mary-Kate and Paris. They’re probably just making it up, but it could be true since Paris was said to despise Mary-Kate, who was seeing Stavros when she scooped him up. Paris is being sued by a Party planner for threats she made against him after he supposedly told Stavros to dump Paris at that time and get back with Mary-Kate. (That lawsuit looks like it has either been abandoned or settled, although it’s hard to tell.)

So even if Paris isn’t actively out for Mary-Kate’s neck, she’s probably pissed that she’s back with Stavros, even temporarily. Paris was most recently reconciled with Stavros late this summer, suggesting he’s her fallback boyfriend.

“They were super into each other,” clubgoer Susan McGinley tells Life & Style. Adds a second partyer [sic], Stacey Kives, “He was making moves and she was eating it up.”

The duo kissed passionately for a few minutes, says the first witness - and then Mary-Kate, 21, put her hand over her mouth and giggled.

One person wasn’t laughing. When Stavros’ on-again, off-again love Paris Hilton, 26, heard about the PDA, she was infuriated. “She thinks MK was publicly hooking up with Stavros just to piss her off,” says an insider close to Paris.

In fact, the insider says, Paris believes the hookup was all about revenge. Back in 2005, MK was in what she thought was a serious relationship with Stavros, 22, when the shipping heir started seeing Paris as well. “Mary-Kate has hated Paris ever since,” notes a mutual friend… Making matters worse, Nicky Hilton is now dating David Katzenberg, another one of Mary-Kate’s exes!

Mary-Kate was most recently dating hockey player Sean Avery, but he was said to be cheating on her with his ex, Lake Bell.

Matthew Perry was briefly linked with singer/crappy actress Mandy Moore after the two were seen out holding hands on a romantic date together earlier this month. Not much seems to have come of that because there were no further sightings and Moore has seen been seen out with her ex, DJ AM.

Now there’s news that Matthew Perry may also have reconciled with one of his exes, new mom Meg Ryan, right around the same time. The two were first linked this February, and it sounds like they’ve been reacquainted. 38 year-old Matthew and Meg Ryan, 48, had a dinner date at the Chateau Marmont that sounds like it ended with a late night hookup in a romantic hotel suite. They also had another date a little over a week later.

Matthew Perry’s on-again, off-again romance with Meg Ryan appears to be very much on. The couple, who dated earlier this year, met for a late-night dinner date at LA’s Chateau Marmont on November 1, and Matthew even booked at suite at the hotel, says a friend of Meg’s.

“It finally dawned on him that he and Meg have a great connection,” says a friend…

The romance continued the following week, too. On November 10, Matt… and Meg… took in a Swell Season concert at the Wiltern theater in LA.

And while Matthew has been playing the field, dating Mandy and then Meg in quick succession, so has Meg. The former a-lister with the trout pout was seen out on a maybe-date with single Hank Azaria on November 6, which was in between her sleepover and follow-up date with Matthew. Meg was either on a double date with Azaria and another couple, or they were just all together as friends, but the two took pains not to be photographed together as they left the restaurant:

Hugh Grant and Liz Hurley are currently in NY together, and The Daily Mail reports that Liz’s new husband, software company CEO Arun Nayar, is nowhere to be found. Grant and Hurley have also gone to great lengths not to be photographed in each others company:

Hugh Grant has been caught trying to avoid being photographed in New York with former girlfriend Liz Hurley, the Daily Mail reports.

The Four Weddings and a Funeral star went to extreme lengths to conceal that the pair had attended a dinner party together on Sunday, sparking rumours that the former couple may have reunited.

Moments after 42-year-old Austin Powers star Hurley arrived at a Manhattan hotel, Grant arrived — but an hour later, he emerged in a different suit.

Minutes afterwards, a car arrived to pick up Hurley. Just a few blocks down the road, the car stopped and Grant jumped in.

A few blocks before the venue of Valentino’s dinner party, 47-year-old Grant stepped out of the car, which proceeded to the door to drop off Hurley minutes before Grant arrived.

The next day the two British actors were spotted at an exclusive restaurant, Fred’s, for lunch — again with staggered entries and exits.

It’s possible Liz and Hugh are in NY for different reasons and just happen to be staying at the same hotel and going to parties and restaurants together. They live quite close to each other in London and have remained “friends” after their breakup in 2000. There was a rumor that Hugh’s last girlfriend, Jemima Khan, was jealous of his close friendship with Hurley and that’s what hastened the end of the relationship.

Hugh took a tropical vacation with Elizabeth and her entire family, including her husband of eight months, last month. Maybe they are just close friends.

Grant has his own purpose for being in NY. He is looking for a home in NY City after earning $22 million from the sale of a 1962 portrait of Elizabeth Taylor by famous pop artist Andy Warhol. Is it wrong of me to think that he should have waited until Taylor died to sell it?

After the tabloids predicted the eminent demise of Brad and Angelina during those last slow weeks at the end of summer when not much else is happening, they have to explain why these two are still happily together despite all the manufactured strife. So Brad and Angelina have had a big makeup in their relationship, with details as usual based on known facts about the couple and little if any insider information.

Brad and Angelina were said to be breaking up because Brad told Maddox to say “excuse me” when he interrupted a guide at the Field Museum, which made Angelina roll her eyes. Now they’re said to be in a second honeymoon phase of their relationship because they went on a date together and gave some quotes to the press about wanting another kid. I bet that not much has changed and that all this is pure speculation:

The setting for the Hollywood power couple’s touching reconciliation was the Bar at the Chicago Penninsula hotel on August 15.

“They were in the back VIP area, talking quietly and stroking each other’s arms,” an eyewitness tells Star. “Angelina was drinking Captain Morgan’s rum and code and Brad was drinking Corona beer. Brad lifted Angelina’s hand and gave it a kiss. When the waitress said ‘last call’ and asked Angie if she wanted another drink, she didn’t even hear her. She was so caught up in Brad - and he was utterly captivated by her.”

“At 2 a.m., when the lights came on, they walked about of the bar hand in hand and headed up to their suite.”

And that marked a new beginning for the pair, after three troubled and stressful years during which they became parents to four children, juggled demanding careers and struggled to cope with Angie’s plunging weight. Things had gotten so bad that during their recent stay in Chicago, where Angie was working on the movie Wanted, they appeared ready to throw in the towel.

Note that Star doesn’t say they were about to end it, just “they appeared ready.”

The article goes on to say that they were fighting over Angelina’s relationship with her brother, James Haven, and about disciplining the kids. That stupid incident where Angelina supposedly rolled her eyes at Brad after he told Maddox to say “excuse me” was dragged up again as if it shows they were ready to break up.

Star says Angelina is ready to get pregnant and is trying to eat more, and is even taking prenatal vitamins “she bought at Whole Foods.”

They also say that they’re trying to work on their family, using the examples of all their high-profile outings in NY recently.

To me it just seems like the tabloids have to save face now that all this positive PR is headed Brangelina’s way after their happy recent photos. It could be true that they’re less stressed out now that Angelina isn’t working in Chicago, but that doesn’t mean they were on the verge of a breakup or that it’s this glorious time for their relationship now.

Brad recently got Angelina’s birthday tattooed on his stomach in Khmer, so he’s playing for keeps even if they’re not planning on getting officially married. Angelina has said that the children keep them together, and it doesn’t seem like they’ll be breaking up anytime soon. It’s not like I want them to stay together, because it would be mighty good gossip if they really did break up and the tabloids have been banking on that. Still, you have to think of their young kids so I guess I wish them every happiness, blah blah.
