Demi Lovato quits tour and goes into treatment for ‘emotional & physical issues’

wenn3018092
Singer/actress Demi Lovato, 18, isn’t really on my radar but I remember some stories that made her sound troubled. She isn’t your typical Disney teen star in that she’s rumored to be a cutter and dated Miley Cyrus’ older brother, bad boy Trace, when he was 20 and she was all of 16. She also went out with Joe Jonas for a few months, and they split up in the spring of this year. Lovato has been on tour opening up for the Jonas Brothers, which she just dropped out of to enter a “treatment center”. TMZ describes some kind of vague incident in which it sounds like Lovato fought with a female backup dancer.

Disney star Demi Lovato has bailed on an international concert tour with the Jonas Brothers — and has checked into a treatment center to seek help for “emotional and physical issues” … TMZ has confirmed through the singer’s rep.

In a statement to TMZ, the 18-year-old singer’s rep says, “Demi Lovato left her tour early this weekend in order to seek medical treatment for emotional and physical issues she has dealt with for some time.”

We’re told Demi is not seeking treatment for drug use.

The statement continues, “Demi has decided to take personal responsibility for her actions and seek help. She is doing just that.”

The rep concludes, “[Demi] regrets not being able to finish her tour, but is looking forward to getting back to work in the near future.”

Sources close to Lovato tell us the singer was in a physical altercation with a female member of her tour recently … which was a “catalyst” in her decision to seek professional help.

[From TMZ]

People Magazine confirms this news, and has the full statement from Demi’s rep along with a statement from a “source” who claims that Demi has battled eating disorders and cutting. The source (aka Demi’s rep off the record) says “She was bullied in school. She fought through eating disorders and has struggled with cutting. … Demi is taking control by getting help.”

I wonder what really happened and how bad the fight was in order to prompt Demi to stop touring and go into treatment. Was she burnt out emotionally and physically and/or did she attack this person? What happened exactly? I bet we’ll hear more about it soon, and I anticipate some kind of lawsuit to come out of it. Hopefully she’s ok and will be able to get the rest she needs. And hopefully she didn’t physically harm that other girl.

Lindsay Lohan offered a job in porn to pay for her rehab

46506, LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA - Friday October 22, 2010. Lindsay Lohan arrives at an LA courthouse where Judge Elden Fox later ruled that she will remain in rehab until Jan 3. The modestly dressed 24 year old actress - who violated her probation in her DUI cased due to a failed drug test - will remain in rehab at the Betty Ford Center in Racho Mirage, California. Photograph: Koi Sojer, PacificCoastNews.com

As we’ve already seen, Lindsay Lohan is still a cracked out hustler and a crackhead liar who will do anything to not face any consequences, ever. She was even busted telling crack lies to the court, and to her probation officer, trying to play the old “I need to work to pay for rehab” angle. No, do I think Lindsay is in debt? Sure. Do I think she should be able to afford rehab? Yep. If all else fails, she should just sell all of that jewelry and clothing she’s stolen or been “given” over the past five years. Anyway, Radar reports that Lindsay’s lawyer gave Lindsay a strong “talking to” about taking rehab seriously. Apparently, Shawn Chapman Holley warned Lindsay that if she f-cked up between now and February 25 (her next court date), that the consequences would be severe. Like, this time the California judicial system would give her a pony, I guess. Also: a porn company is offering to front the money for Lindsay’s rehab if she’ll work for them… but not doing actual porn:

Before she was sent back to the Betty Ford Center by Judge Elden Fox, Lindsay Lohan received some tough advice from her lawyer Shawn Chapman Holley, RadarOnline.com has learned exclusively. A source says Lindsay currently seems to have taken her words to heart.

When Lohan appeared before Fox, the judge made it clear to Lohan that she faced six months hard jail time if she provided another dirty drugs test before her next court date on February 25, 2011. Holley then had a serious conversation with Lindsay because, “she wanted her to know the consequences if she messed-up again,” a source tells RadarOnline.com exclusively.

At present, Lohan is trying to adjust to being back inside the Betty Ford Center as she tries to get her life and career back on track. “At the moment she is finding it tough being in rehab and she misses her friends and family,” the source said.

“She only has one hour of internet access per day and she is using this to stay in the loop with her family and friends while trying to do some career stuff too. Lindsay has not made any great friends inside the clinic, she is just trying to keep her head down and get on with things.”

As for the treatment, Lindsay is “taking the counseling seriously though and knows that she is in a place where she is getting help for her problems.”

RadarOnline.com has learned that the star is having trouble playing the $150,000 bill for her stay at Betty Ford.

Adult website Tube8.com has offered the Hollywood wild child a job that they said would “cover the anticipated $50,000 fee for Ms. Lohan’s rehabilitation at the Betty Ford Center.” The site has offered her a marketing consultant job and — in an added bonus — will give her unlimited access to their porn collection.

Lohan, 24, has been at the Betty Ford Center in Rancho Mirage, California since September, where she’s been undergoing treatment for cocaine addiction- a story first reported by RadarOnline.com.

In court Judge Fox told the actress: “If you can make it until Feb. 25, I will make it unsupervised probation. You can put this long episode behind you if you are serious about this.”

[From Radar]

That one line really bothered me – Lindsay is “taking the counseling seriously though and knows that she is in a place where she is getting help for her problems.” I get the feeling that Lindsay thinks rehab is supposed to wash over her, that it’s her counselor’s job to do all of the heavy lifting, and that Lindsay doesn’t think she has to do anything but just physically be in rehab. I’ve said it before: this girl doesn’t “get” it. So throw her in jail until she does “get it”. Also: she should totally take that porn company up on their offer. It sounds like a nice gig.

Lindsay Lohan is still in crackhead denial, says the Betty Ford Clinic

As we found out yesterday, Lindsay Lohan was not sent to jail for the multiple violations of her parole. Instead, she was ordered back to the Betty Ford Clinic until January 3. Apparently, the judge was impressed with the progress Lindsay was making thus far, but believed that a more extended and thorough detoxification process was in order. Part of the judge’s decision was based on a report the Betty Ford Clinic doctors submitted to the court. Radar has excerpts from the report, and the portrait of Lindsay isn’t all that flattering. Nor hopeful. Apparently, while Lindsay has made SOME progress, she still has the heart and soul of a crackhead liar in denial. Lindsay has tried to talk her way out of rehab, claiming that she’s broke and she can’t afford the treatment any more, and that Lindsay “has a lot of growing up to do.” Ya think?

Dina Lohan looked relieved in court on Friday as the judge told her daughter Lindsay that he was not going to send her to jail but rather allow her to return to rehab to finish treatment at the Betty Ford Center. In an exclusive statement to RadarOnline.com, Dina expressed how happy she is with the ruling.

“We’re taking it day by day and we’re very thankful for all the support and the love we’ve received,” Dina told RadarOnline.com on Friday.

RadarOnline.com was in the Beverly Hills courtroom where Lindsay was ordered to appear for her sentencing relating to her probation violation.

The actress, 24, wore jeans and a black blazer as she sat near her mother. Lindsay’s father, Michael Lohan, was also at court but sat on the opposite side of the room.
RadarOnline.com obtained Lindsay’s probation report, which revealed her admission to feeling powerless about being an addict.

The powerful report, prepared by Lindsay’s probation officer, contains information from several of her caregivers and gives strong insight into what the troubled actress has been dealing with. The probation report, relaying information from one of Lindsay’s doctors, reads: “The defendant was motivated to look at some of the problems in her life, however, there was some denial regarding her drug addiction. He feels that the longer the defendant is at the Betty Ford Center the better.”

According to the report, chemical dependency counselor Gary Richman saw Lindsay at UCLA and then at her home. When she failed her drug test he tested her every day after that.

“He believes the defendant needs to continue to work on her issues in order to save her life. He indicates the defendant is a ‘wonderful young woman.’”

The report states: “After the positive drug test with the probation department, Mr. Richman indicates the defendant finally began to talk about feeling powerless and about being an addict. He states the defendant needs ongoing treatment and has a lot of growing up to do. She must make several changes in her life in order to succeed, especially coming from a family of dysfunction.”

Lindsay told one of her caregivers that she cannot remain at Betty Ford because she is broke. According to the report: “She indicates that she cannot afford to continue to pay for the treatment program and she needs to work. The defendant stated her clothing line is falling apart because she is not available to monitor the product. “

Lindsay also told them she is scheduled to start shooting a movie on November 10. The report reveals that Lindsay is in a group geared toward improving self esteem at Betty Ford and that she is also in group therapy and AA meetings.

One probation officer spoke to Lindsay by phone on October 14 and Lindsay said, “I feel good,” according to the report.

Despite Lindsay’s pleas to get out of Betty Ford, the probation report says she is doing well and recommends that she be kept there.

“The probation officer feels that it is a positive step, that the defendant has acknowledged her addiction and is seeking additional treatment,” the report says.

“Possibly removing herself from her lifestyle and its pressures for an extended period is exactly what is needed to preserve her health.”

The judge apparently agreed.

[From Radar (two articles)]

Honestly, this report doesn’t indicate to me that Lindsay has fulfilled the idea I have of a contrite addict – she has not given herself over to God, she has not accepted responsibility for actions, past and present, and tried to make amends and ask for forgiveness. She sounds like the same old crackhead trying to lie and cheat and do and say whatever she can to get out of rehab. My guess is that the doctors at the Betty Ford Clinic think that with time, maybe this will happen, because it hasn’t yet.

Meanwhile, TMZ reports that Lindsay is already preparing her cracked out contingency plan for when she gets out in January. Their sources say that her “management team” (which consists of Dina and a bottle of vodka) are “already lining up projects for the actress as soon as she steps out of rehab in 2011” and that the team “has been devouring movie scripts, furiously setting up meetings, and organizing fashion projects, all in anticipation of LiLo’s release from rehab — January 3, 2011.” A few of Lindsay’s friends think it would be a horrible idea for Lindsay to go back to work right away though – “She shouldn’t be working the first week. She shouldn’t be working the first couple months. She needs to be attending daily meetings to stay on track for sobriety.” Not when Mama needs some blow!

Lindsay Lohan could get sentenced to a year in jail on Friday

45091, LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA - Friday September 17 2010. Amidst reports she failed a court ordered drugs test, Lindsay Lohan shows off her tattoo I restore myself when I'm alone during a night out in LA. Reports suggest the troubled star could return to jail after supposedly testing positive for cocaine. Photograph: Anthony, PacificCoastNews.com
Lindsay Lohan has been ordered to personally appear before the judge in a hearing Friday to determine her fate after violating probation yet again by failing drug tests. It’s thought that she’ll be sentenced to an additional 30 days in jail for each violation, but it could be much worse than that. Radar Online is reporting that she could get up to a year in jail if the judge decides to throw the book at her, and it’s looking more likely. That would mean she’d serve at least four to five months. Lindsay has of course been at the Betty Ford rehab clinic since September 27 trying to avoid jail again and show that she’s finally serious about her sobriety. It may be too little too late for her. Here’s more:

Judge Elden Fox could sentence Lindsay Lohan up to one year behind bars when she appears for her probation violation hearing on Friday, RadarOnline.com has learned exclusively .

A source close to the actress, 24, told RadarOnline.com: “Judge Fox could be inclined to sentence Lindsay on Friday up to one year in jail. The fact that he ordered Lindsay to appear, even though she is currently in rehab and not planning to fight the probation violation, has Lindsay’s legal team very, very, concerned.”

The insider continued, “Even though Judge Fox has previously said that any dirty drug test would result in an automatic 30 days behind bars, he could go above and beyond that and simply terminate her probation. If he does that, he can sentence Lindsay to up to one year in jail. She would get credit for time served from her stint at Lynwood earlier this year and would probably do four to five months in jail.”

As RadarOnline.com reported, Lindsay failed a drug test just 3 weeks after her release from UCLA Medical Center in August. She appeared in court and was immediately remanded to custody at Lynwood Correctional Facility. Her lawyer filed an appeal, however, and she was released after several hours. Lindsay then voluntarily checked into the Betty Ford Center in Rancho Mirage, Calif. where she’s been receiving treatment.

A source close to Lindsay’s camp told RadarOnline.com, “I wouldn’t be surprised if she gets a year in jail and serves six months. I think everyone close to her would like to see her go back to rehab, but there’s an overwhelming feeling that something is going to happen to Lindsay if she doesn’t go away for a long time, so they’re reconciling with the fact that she could go to jail for a while. People are scared.”

As RadarOnline.com reported exclusively on Wednesday, Judge Fox has refused to meet with Lindsay’s lawyer and the DA before Friday’s hearing.

[From Radar Online]

Would anyone except Lindsay and her insane family be surprised if she got sent back to jail for a few months at least? TMZ is reporting that the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department will be prepped and ready to take her to jail directly following that hearing. They write that “We’re told deputies, both undercover and in uniform, will be in the courthouse with a vehicle warmed up and ready to take Linds to Lynwood Correctional Facility.” Will she get another couple weeks with Twizzlers and fan mail or is she going to go away for much longer than that? I’m voting for 30-60 days.

Dina Lohan is shopping a reality show about Lindsay’s rehab stay

42419, WEST HOLLYWOOD, CALIFORNIA - Friday July 9, 2010. Lindsay Lohan, soon-to-be-incarcerated, manages to smile as she leaves a Coffee Bean in a Nike sports bra and sweats accompanied by her mom Dina and sister Ali. No sign of any writing on her nail polish this time! Photograph: David Tonnessen, PacificCoastNews.com
Lindsay’s mom Dina is reportedly trying to shop a reality show about her daughter’s stay in rehab. You know that the Betty Ford clinic is too classy and private for that and would never allow cameras, so the show would presumably center around Dina and her other kids, which is probably what she’s aiming for anyway. Her last stint at reality television was canceled after one meager season in 2008. No one wanted to see “Living Lohan” then, although maybe there’s some interest now that we might get to see Lindsay in an orange jumpsuit crying behind plexiglass into a black phone. I would fast forward through a bunch of Dina’s lies and delusions of grandeur to catch that.

Dina Lohan has stooped to a new low – even for the Low-han family (which I thought was near impossible!). kikster got the exclusive scoop that Dina is currently shopping a reality show based around visiting her daughter, Lindsay, while she is in rehab. The whole thought of it is pretty disgusting… even though I would watch it!

It is pretty transparent that this woman (term used loosely) cares nothing about her daughter and only about herself!
KIKSTER EXCLUSIVE: Our kikster squealer tattles: “Not only has Dina been ‘shopping’ around her upcoming trip to visit Lindsay in rehab at Betty Ford with her “other” 3 abandoned children, Michael Jr,(22), Ali (16) and Cody (13) to media outlets for the sale of pictures BUT she is doing it to develop a new REALITY SHOW!”

Kikster’s source continues, “Dina(48) did this years ago when Lindsay first went into rehab. She sold the footage for an E! Network ‘Special’ and then worked with E! to land her reality show, Living Lohan.” The kikster insider goes on to say, “It’s really sad that Dina is doing this AGAIN. She’s been advised that it’s in poor taste but that’s Dina for you- it’s all about HER!”

[From Kikster via Radar]

I hope this isn’t true but it sounds just like Dina, doesn’t it? She even told the NY Post back in June that she was already filming some kind of reality show, although it’s doubtful there were any networks interested. She said “We have already started filming. The cameras follow us in our daily lives and as we promote our businesses. I want to prove that we are a good, hardworking family and we don’t have the crazy lives that some people claim we do.” Now that Lindsay is in rehab and probably going back to jail, Dina might have that much more plot to pitch her show. It’s pretty disgusting, but we can’t expect any kind of class or discretion from that family, especially in a crisis.

Lindsay Lohan busted trying to sneak out of rehab

45258, LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA - Tuesday September 21 2010. Lindsay Lohan wears an oversized grey jumper for dinner with her brother and friends. Lohan has reportedly admitted failing drugs tests just weeks after being released from jail. The Herbie actress could face jail after allegedly violating the terms of her probation. Photograph: Anthony, PacificCoastNews.com
The story isn’t as sensational as the title makes it sound, but it’s still damn funny. Apparently Lindsay and a co-conspirator tried to climb a fence at the Betty Ford Center in order to get access to a soda machine at a medical facility next door. Lindsay’s friend got her clothing stuck on the fence and couldn’t get down, so they had to ask a staff member on the grounds for help and were of course turned in. I guess the takeaway from this story is that Lindsay is up to her old tricks and that it’s such a strict facility she can’t even get a coffee or a diet coke. (She can smoke outside, though, according to a former Betty Ford attendee interviewed by Hollyscoop.) Radar reports that she can’t watch TV, either, and we’ve already heard that her internet and cell phone privileges were taken away. It’s not prison though – yet!

Lindsay Lohan was caught trying to escape the Betty Ford Center in Rancho Mirage, California, earlier this week, RadarOnline.com is exclusively reporting.

But all Lohan, 24, desperately wanted to score was a coke fix — of the cola variety!

In a tale so bizarre it is almost unbelievable, RadarOnline.com has confirmed the Hollywood wild child attempted to flee the Betty Ford grounds to sneak into the nearby Eisenhower Medical Center, in a bid to buy a soda from a vending machine.

Lohan’s rouse was almost pulled off it wasn’t for her accomplice, another patient, whose clothing got caught on the fence.

“Lindsay and her co-conspirator were forced to give it up and flag down a volunteer, who was crossing the center’s grounds on a golf cart,” a source, with knowlegde of the situation, told RadarOnline.com.

“The pair was safely returned, decaffeinated, to their hall, were they were the center of a process meeting over what they had done.”

There is no soda dispenser at the clinic where luxuries such as caffeine, along with phone calls and television, are strictly prohibited.

[From Radar Online]

I would go nuts without my morning coffee, so I guess I understand why Lohan is sneaking out to get some soda. I find it really hard to believe that they don’t serve coffee there at least. INF Daily backs up Radar’s report that caffeine is banned, so it probably is. I would get headaches for a few days if I went cold turkey off coffee and it would suck. I’m sure it’s harder to withdraw from all the other stuff Lindsay is on, though.

Lindsay is reportedly hoping to avoid jail with an extended rehab stay. Her team is also working to decrease her time on probation in order to make it less likely that she’ll screw up. (Ha!) Is the judge going to get wind of this and give Lindsay a harsher sentence for it? We can only hope, although Lindsay will surely try and blame the friend for it. She can probably get some damn coffee in jail at least but it’s not like they’re going to let her smoke or roam around outside.

Lindsay Lohan’s legal team wants her probation time cut short

fp_3732263_ang_lohan_lindsay_100309

We haven’t had any Lohan stories in a several days. That has been a conscious choice on my part – Lindsay is in rehab, presumably getting in touch with her non-crackhead side, and I thought it best to ease up on the little sociopath whenever possible. Unfortunately, my self-imposed Blohan embargo has been defeated by a number of tabloid stories about Lindsay, most of them negative. Let’s just go down the list, shall we?

First – TMZ had a hilariously awful story a few days ago about Lindsay’s problems back when she was 17 years old (the year was 2003), living in the Chateau Marmont and partying every night. Somehow, the LAPD were informed that Lindsay had a stalker, so valuable police resources – in the form of a full-time investigator – were assigned to trail Lindsay, to see if anyone else was trailing her, I presume. Sources tell TMZ that “the investigator became alarmed when he saw Lindsay clubbing all over town, which made the investigator fear she was drinking and driving. Law enforcement then contacted Dina to give her the heads-up. Dina wasn’t answering her phone, so voicemail messages were left warning her of Lindsay’s Hollywood antics. Dina never called back … not even once.” But wait! That’s not even the worst part! Another source snipes to TMZ, “If law enforcement was so worried about Lindsay’s safety, why didn’t they send someone to Dina’s home to inform her?” Yes, Mother Crackhead. Because if someone had showed up in person to inform you that your daughter was turning into a crackhead – as opposed to just leaving several messages – that would have been what turned the whole situation around.

Second – Lindsay is definitely-probably being treated for addiction to cocaine at the Bette Ford Clinic. A source tells Radar, “Lindsay’s primary problem is cocaine. She went through a thorough assessment, and it was discovered that she has a high dependence for cocaine.” Shocking. Also, sources tell TMZ that while in rehab, Lindsay is still blaming her daddy for everything that she’s going through. She’s a coked-out mess ONLY because of her crappy father. I would believe it if Lindsay was capable of taking some personal responsibility, but this just seems like more cracked-out narcissistic delusional crap to me.

Lastly, we have this story – Lindsay’s “team” of lawyers/sycophants now wants her court-ordered probationary period to end sooner. Their rationale? Because it’s so easy for Lindsay to f-ck up, so why make it easy to catch her when she will inevitably f-ck up?

Lindsay Lohan’s team is hoping for an early end to the actress’ probation period, which currently runs through August 2011, in hopes of keeping her out of more legal trouble, RadarOnline.com has learned exclusively.

“The longer Lindsay stays on probation, the increased chances that she will get in trouble because of problems staying compliant with the terms of her probation. The only person that can modify terms of Lindsay’s probation, or terminate it early, is Judge Elden Fox,” a source with knowledge of the situation told RadarOnline.com exclusively.

Lindsay is currently undergoing treatment at Betty Ford in Palm Springs. As RadarOnline.com previously reported, she is being treated for an addiction to cocaine. While the source would not elaborate on the particulars of the plan to get Lohan off of probation early, some reasons would include: “Lindsay remaining in rehab for a longer period of time” or “attending alcohol education classes.”

The source stressed that Lohan is ready to do “anything that Judge Fox feels is necessary. It’s his call, but there is a strong push being made for Lindsay’s probation to terminate early.”

Most of Lohan’s legal woes have arisen because of issues with complying to the terms of her probation. “It’s important to remember that Lindsay is on probation for misdemeanor charges relating to her two DUI’s back in 2007,” the insider added.

Lohan’s next hearing in front of Judge Fox is on October 22. “Lindsay’s attorney is going to admit to the violation of the dirty drug test. There isn’t going to be a need for a formal probation violation hearing because Shawn Chapman Holley isn’t going to fight the test results. It will be up to Judge Fox if Lindsay is required to attend the hearing, but if ordered to appear, she will be there,” the source continued.

“Lindsay will still be in rehab at the time of the hearing, and since it’s not going to be full blown hearing, she might not have to be there. Even if Lindsay is sentenced to 30 days in jail for the dirty test, she will get credit for one day served when Judge Fox remanded her to jail at the last hearing. With jail overcrowding, and the fact that Lindsay is a low level offender, she would likely be processed in and out of the system in less than four hours.”

Before that hearing, Judge Fox will be “receiving a detailed report from Lindsay’s treatment team at Betty Ford.”

The source stressed again, “Whatever Judge Fox orders Lindsay to do, she plans on complying with.”

[From Radar]

“The longer Lindsay stays on probation, the increased chances that she will get in trouble because of problems staying compliant with the terms of her probation.” I mean… that alone should be reason to EXTEND her probation (if not send her to JAIL). I can just imagine Lindsay standing before the judge: “You need to let my probation end early because I’m going to do coke again and it would be a lot more convenient for me if I wasn’t drug-tested after I snorted half of Mexico. Sir.” I’ll believe Lindsay is taking her recovery seriously when her legal team – at Lindsay’s behest – is trying to extend her probation to make it more and more difficult for her to f-ck up. But that’s just me.

Dina Lohan tries to get Barbara Walters to make her sound like a decent mom

BEVERLY HILLS, CA - SEPTEMBER 24: Dina Lohan (C) mother of actress Lindsay Lohan and lawyer Shawn Chapman Holley (L) leave the courthouse after Lindsay Lohan was sent back to jail with no bail after a failing a court-ordered drug test following a hearing at Beverly Hills courthouse on September 24, 2010 in Beverly Hills, California. Superior Court Judge Elden S. Fox set no bail, pending an Oct. 22 court hearing. (Photo by Kevork Djansezian/Getty Images)
Dina Lohan had a little talk with Barbara Walters ahead of yesterday’s View. It’s clear that she wanted to make it known that she has three other kids that are doing great and that they’re all going to visit Lindsay in rehab next week. Does this mean she’s kind-of admitting that Lindsay isn’t doing that well now that she’s in rehab awaiting additional jail time? That’s doubtful given all the delusional ways she’s tried to spin Lindsay’s last sentence, but at least she realizes that it’s a PR issue she needs to stay on top of. Ali, 16, is modeling now and Dina would love to get her into “the business.” Dina needs to make herself seem like a competent parent despite all the evidence to the contrary. Here’s what Barbara said on behalf of Dina:

There are three other children. The son just graduated summa cum laude from Ithaca. The son Michael is 22, daughter Ali, 16, and another boy of 14, all very responsible, terrific children. They are all going to visit Lindsay at Betty Ford where she is now. There is going to be a family week… she is supposed to be there for 30 days according to her mother, I just talked to her, she is doing very well. She has 24 days left and on October 22 the judge will rule on the misdemeanor violation and decide whether Lindsay goes back to rehab or goes to jail but in the meantime she’s trying very hard to work through her problems.

[The View via Radar Online]

I wonder what kind of deal Dina will work out with the paparazzi to capture these happy family reunion moments. Bill Zwecker of the Chicago Sun Times has some insider information on Lindsay’s rehab stay. He reports that she’s “stand-offish with other patients and staff” but is cooperative overall. She’s also said to have “offered to kick in funds to help the clinic pay for the additional security staff they need ‘to cope with all the paparazzi.” You know she’s doing this so that she can control who gets photos of her in rehab and subsequently demand a higher asking price. Zwecker reports that Lindsay has “ditched her cell phones and erased the contact information” for her “old heavy-partying crowd.” She’s hoping to show the judge that she’s changed and get off without additional jail time, but legal experts think that she’ll be sentenced to 30 more days on October 22. There are only so many ways the Lohans can spin this, and it’s obvious that rehab is a last ditch effort for Lindsay to avoid jail. I’ll be surprised if she stays on the straight and narrow for even a few more months.

Lindsay Lohan forced to admit daily that she’s an addict at Betty Ford Clinic

lohan5

Even though I wouldn’t take back the past few weeks of little to no Lindsay Lohan news (because she’s in rehab), I am finding myself going through crack-shenanigan-withdrawal. Yes, the streets are safer, and yes, I’m sure more than a few dealers have gone out of business, but I just need a hit of Blohan news every so often, just because I’ve gotten used to it. So sue me, I’m addicted! My name is Kaiser and I’m addicted to Lindsay Lohan gossip. As it turns out, Lindsay is saying something similar right about now. Radar has a “behind the scenes” piece about what Lindsay’s life is like in rehab. Her day includes drinking endless cups of decaf, smoking cigarettes, admitting you’re a crackhead and long walks around a lake. Sounds… nice.

Inside the Betty Ford Center. Lindsay Lohan is taking the first real steps in her recovery by being forced to publicly say, “Hi. I’m Lindsay, and I am an alcoholic and addict”, RadarOnline.com has learned exclusively.

Every day Lindsay is forced to admit her demons, a former patient at the Rancho Mirage, California, hospital tells us.

“She must discuss her past drug usage, along with repeating the statement she denied for so many years,” the former patient told RadarOnline.com.

Lohan’s dormitory holds 22 women and she and the other patients have a roommate, the source said. Twenty years ago, Elizabeth Taylor shared a room with three other patients in Fisher Hall. The building underwent a complete remodeling, earlier this year.

With more freedom than she had in jail, Lohan starts her day off with a cup of decaf coffee and cigarettes. She can order an egg white omelet.

After breakfast, Lohan and other patients are assigned chores in the dorm, which is followed by a vigorous schedule of meetings and group therapy. After every activity there is a “process group” to follow, the source said.

The residents of each dorm sit in their living rooms, sharing and discussing what they just experienced, felt and thought.

Lohan and other patients are allowed to walk around the lake and write in journals. As RadarOnline.com has previously reported, at Lohan’s next court hearing October 22, her attorney is going to ask the judge to allow her to stay in the rehab facility.

[From Radar]

Yes, Lindsay is going to try to stay in rehab through her court appearance, in the hopes that she doesn’t get sent back to jail. Is this all some big crack plot? Probably. By the way, what is the Betty Ford Clinic’s reputation amongst rehab facilities? It has a better track record than Promises, right? But it’s not as good as those places in the desert where they dry you out amongst the dry heat. At least that’s what I hear. I think if I was an addict (not a gossip addict, a real addict), I would want to go to one of those places where they make you work. Like a working farm-rehab, one of those places. I would need something to keep my hands busy. I guess Lindsay doesn’t have that problem.

Lindsay Lohan enters rehab for the fifth time

wenn2621819

Someone wake up Mother Crackhead, her baby just entered rehab for the FIFTH time. What, you can’t wake her up? She was doing tequila shots with Shawn Chapman Holley until 4 a.m. That’s okay. She’ll find out tomorrow. So… tat’s number five, Dina. So when Dina is asked about it again, on yet another of her Mother Crackhead media blitzes, and she gets the “So your kid was has been in and out of rehab five times – aren’t you a horrible mother?” question, we all know the real answer. The real answer? “Lindsay is playing HARDBALL, and she was FIRED, basically.” Or something.

Anyway, TMZ is dancing about this because they somehow got the first confirmation that Lindsay officially went back to rehab today. According to their sources, Lindsay plans to stay in rehab crackhead lockdown until her October 22 hearing. Will she be white-knuckling it until then? Or will she “magically” be cured in one week and somehow be back to crack shenanigans come next week? I know where I’ve got my money. Meanwhile, a source tells Us Weekly: “She finally admitted she needs help to fix her addiction.” Yeah… “admitting” that you have a problem is still a long way off from “acknowledging that you have to do the heavy lifting of getting healthy instead of just falling back into your crack-hustling, day-to-day, shenanigan-filled life.”

UPDATE: Go to Radar and look at their exclusive photos of Lindsay the day before she checked into rehab – she’s posing with a BOOK! You’ve got to think that she crack-hustled at least $10,000 out of Radar for those photos.
