Amy Winehouse’s issues-on-top-of-issues continued this weekend, as she and husband Blake Fielder-Civil left rehab for the second time. No, not on a rehab facility sponsored country outing to go look at some sheep or whatever it is they do in the English countryside. Nor is she leaving to “pick up a guitar” (because I’m sure no one could have done that for her, right?) and stop at a few pubs (I’m pretty sure rehab facilities encourage you to go to pubs and get plastered in the first week of treatment). Amy hasn’t made any excuses – yet. The couple appears to have left the Causeway clinic in Essex after a series of fights.

“Brit singer Amy Winehouse has walked out of rehab for the second time, after a string of rows with hubby Blake Fielder-Civil. The ‘Rehab’ star quit The Causeway clinic in Essex on August 19, just a day after she returned to the facility. Winehouse and her hubby had said that they left for London to fetch a guitar.

“The couple’s constant fights were spoiling the centre’s ambience and a source said that though Winehouse would be welcomed back, Fielder-Civil might not get a similar reception. The source added that everyone is worried that the two will get back to their druggy habits.

“‘It is supposed to be a peaceful backdrop to help people deal with their problems. But Amy and Blake kept rowing and spoiling the ambience,’ the Sun quoted the source, as saying. ‘While Amy would be welcomed back with open arms, I’m not sure they’d say the same for Blake. ‘

“‘Everyone is really worried that if they are let loose in London again they’ll just go straight back to their old druggy habits. ‘”

It appears that Blake is making things very difficult for everyone around Amy, including staff at the clinic, and at the hospital where she was treated for an overdose. Amy’s mom, Janis, gave a very long interview to the Daily Mail on Saturday. It sounds like she’s given up on Amy to a certain extent, or at least distanced herself emotionally. When the subject of Blake came up, Janis Winehouse responded, “I think it’s a case of the less said the better.” I have yet to figure out what the guy brings to the table. According to Daily India’s article, he’s really upset Amy’s family and general staff that have had to deal with him. I’m really curious to hear what he’s done that aggravates everyone. All they say are generic things that could mean almost anything.

“The source also said that Fielder-Civil’s behaviour shows why the soul star’s family wants her to seek ‘help without him’.

“’He upset people in The Causeway with his behaviour. It was the same when she was in hospital. He really upset the staff and wasn’t very welcome there either,’ the source added.

“’They spent half their time arguing rather than concentrating on the job in hand. Of course it must be stressful being with your partner while trying to sort out something so personal and difficult.’

“’But this just shows why the family are so desperate for her to get help without him.’

I don’t know much about rehab, but I’ve never heard of someone doing it with their partner. I imagine that article has it spot on – it’s a very personal process. I would think that bringing the drama and complications of a relationship so directly into rehab would make an already difficult process nearly impossible. I’m sure people’s relationships are at issue no matter what – but going there with your spouse? What if your spouse is really the problem? It seems like a lot of sources are hinting that Blake is there to try to keep Amy from getting better.

Talented self-destructive singer Amy Winehouse was out of rehab yesterday after just 48 hours in an Essex facility in with her bad-news husband, Blake Fielder-Civil. Everyone was saying that she couldn’t hack sobriety and wasn’t ready to conquer her demons, but her husband claimed in an interview that they left rehab just to go get a guitar despite the fact that they were spotted in their local pub soon afterwards. In an interview with Britain’s Radio One, Blake said that everything was blown out of proportion and that Amy is committed to finishing rehab. He also said that the papers made up quotes from his mother about the drugs that Amy was taking at the time of her overdose:

“We only came back to get a guitar, but of course in the paper that’s interpreted as we’re both so weak we left after three days. It’s the inevitable way the papers are trying to put you down when you’re trying to do something positive.

“The main thing is that me and Amy are getting better. Don’t worry, she’s being looked after. We’re going back to this retreat. She’s determined to get well.

“It’s not as bad as everyone thinks but she’s fine, she’s loved and looked after.”

Asked about reports of the couple’s drug addictions, Fielder-Civil said: “I wouldn’t believe it. There’s a few problems there but certainly nothing of the magnitude that my mum was falsely quoted as saying.”

His mother Georgette was reported as saying that Winehouse confessed to heroin and cocaine addiction and told her: “It’s silly, but you just get carried away.”

Winehouse is also quoted as saying she’s fine and that she’s gained “half a stone,” which is 7 pounds. Maybe that’s why she’s clutching a pair of new pants in the header photo, although her jeans are still falling off her hips to reveal most of her underwear.

Amy and her enabler husband popped into their local pub right after they got back to Amy’s Camden home, but were only there for 40 minutes according to reports. If she was downing shot after shot in that time period it would have been reported, so maybe she figures a coupla pints aren’t going to do much damage considering what she’s normally up to. Still, there’s always the bathroom for a quick fix.

Blake told The Mirror that Amy’s collapse wasn’t his fault and that he loves her and just wants to protect her. “I just want everyone to know that I love her so so much. She’s so precious to me, she’s my wife and I want to take care of her, that’s why I’m taking her back to rehab. We only came back to London to get a guitar and then we’re going straight back. It’s not because we were too weak to stay.”

The guy sounds charming, even if he does look like one of Pete Doherty’s best mates.

Amy was alternately said to be out of rehab for a brain scan that was ordered by doctors following her drug overdose last week, during which she suffered from seizures. There were no sightings of Amy at the hospital getting the scan, though, and the source for that story is The Sun so I would bet it’s pure speculation.

Amy Winehouse has got to be the most troubled musician around these days. You could make an argument for Pete Doherty, but he’s wasted so many of his brain cells that his talent is pretty much gone. Amy was finally convinced by her family to get some much needed help and enter into rehab this weekend, after overdosing on a cocktail of drugs August 8th. She agreed to go, but only if husband Blake Fielder-Civil joined her. This didn’t seem to be because Blake has massive drug problems of his own, but more because Amy can’t really be without him. Blake agreed, but quickly changed his mind, and brought Amy along with him.

“Amy’s decision to leave rehab followed a huge rift between her husband and the rest of her family. Dad Mitch and others close to Amy are desperate to get her away from him — because they believe he will stop her getting treatment. He has even looked into getting a restraining order against him.

“Blake, 25, wanted Amy to return home with him and yesterday looked to have won the battle. The newlyweds returned to their Camden home by helicopter from The Causeway clinic in Essex.

“A source close to the pair said: ‘When Amy got to The Causeway everyone breathed a sigh of relief. She was supposed to stay for a few weeks and sort herself out. But after a couple of decent meals she insisted she was fit to go home. She wanted to leave on Tuesday evening. People close to her are devastated. But Blake wants her to return to normality — and we all know what their normality is. They’ve even been planning to meet friends in Camden. It’s madness.’

“Another source close to Amy said: ‘Mitch is desperate for Amy to get some proper lengthy treatment but she’ll only do it with Blake. Mitch even looked to see if he could get a restraining order against him but legally it’s impossible.’

“Amy was rushed to hospital at 1am last Wednesday after a three-day bender. She spent a few nights in a country hotel without Blake — on her parents’ orders — but he joined them after she phoned him. Blake had a hit of heroin delivered, which he and Amy took last Friday. Mitch found out and had a huge bust-up with Blake’s dad.”

I’m sure Amy Winehouse had problems before she met Blake, but he seems to have made things so much worse. He’s not just an enabler, he’s an encourager. He supplies her with drugs, even though she almost died a week ago. That’s not exactly a healthy relationship. It sounds like he likes his drugs, and Amy can afford to buy them for him, and it’s more fun for him if everyone’s wasted. I’m not trying to put the blame solely on him, but I think it sounds like he’s a huge part of the problem. As one of Amy’s friends pointed out, “’Blake isn’t taking this seriously enough. She was never anything like this bad before she got back together with him.’” Apparently Amy’s father is trying to see if there’s a legal way to force her into rehab. Something tells me that’s not the greatest idea, since she’s a grown woman and that would likely just create resentment. And she’s not going to change until she is ready to. You would think overdosing would make her ready, but apparently not. But I doubt rehab would do any good if she were forced into it. I still think it could make a big difference if they could get her wasteful, lazy, scum husband away.

There are so many conflicting reports about Amy Winehouse, but it looks like she finally got her ass to rehab. Does anyone else think she was refusing to go because she had to stay in character with her song? According to The Mirror, Amy and her husband, layabout Blake Fielder-Civil have entered rehab together in the U.S. They didn’t speculate about which rehab facility they went to, but I like to imagine them scrubbing toilets with Lindsay Lohan in Utah. But that’s probably not the case though. After Amy was admitted to the hospital a week ago due to “taking a cocktail of heroin, cocaine, ecstasy and the horse tranquillizer ketamine” she and Blake checked into the Four Seasons hotel in Hook, Hampshire.… not exactly rehab. However two days after having her stomach pumped, Winehouse’s best friend Juliette Ashby caught the two smoking heroin in their hotel suite. This was followed by what appear to be an intervention for both husband and wife by their collective parents.

“Amy’s taxi driver dad Mitch ‘flipped’ when he heard - and next day they were joined by worried Mitch, wife Janis, Blake’s stepfather Giles Fielder-Civil and mother Georgette. During the row, Mitch grabbed Giles by the throat and ‘threatened to rip his head off.’

“The source said: ‘It was only when Amy saw her family falling apart that she realised she had to do something. She confessed that she and Blake had drug problems and had to have treatment together.’

“Mitch is also said to have demanded that Blake be fitted with an implant to curb his drug-taking. Blake refused but agreed to join Amy on a drug counselling and treatment programme.

It’s not surprising that Blake Fielder-Civil has a drug problem. I’m not sure if it’s actually been written, but it seems to have been generally assumed by just about everyone, since he seemed to have no problem with Amy’s drug use. He was beyond an enabler, so it makes sense that it’s because he has a problem himself. They seem like such a bad match for each other, and very unhealthy together. Amy obviously had problems before they were married, but they seemed to have tripled since then.

“’They both admitted taking cocaine and heroin. But they denied they had been injecting heroin. At one point, both Amy and Blake stripped off in front of Georgette to prove they had not been using needles. But they now realise that if they don’t get help now, they will both die young. This is their watershed, their wake-up call.

“’Both families were terrified by the state Amy and Blake had got themselves in and decided enough was enough. It was the first time Blake also admitted he had a drug problem. It was a brave step for both of them to agree to treatment and their families are very proud of them.’

“The source added: ‘They are both to blame. They are both as bad as each other. But at least they have admitted they have got a problem and are taking action to help each other.’

“Before flying off on Saturday, Blake phoned his mother and said: ‘Please stop crying, everything will be OK.’

“Amy told her mother-in-law: ‘I’m so sorry. I love you. Please don’t worry.’

“Last night they were spending their third night at the clinic, where they are sharing a bedroom. They have agreed to have their mobile phones confiscated and to have no contact with the outside world. Amy has also agreed that her career must be put on hold, despite her desire to get back on the road and perform.”

I really don’t believe that they are both “’taking action to help each other.’” That’d be nice, but from all the stories I’ve read, it doesn’t seem like Blake cares a rip about Amy. Maybe he has too many problems of his own, it’s hard to say since nothing has really been written about him that’s separate from Amy. But it seems like he’s just there to go along for the ride as long as possible, until all of the resources (drugs, money, Amy’s talent) are drained. I hope this rehab story is correct, but if so, I hope that as a bare minimum, Amy and Blake aren’t together during their time in rehab. Sharing a bedroom with the person you smoked heroin with the week before seems like a really bad idea. Maybe that’s just me.

Amy Winehouse has not spent the past few days following her drug overdose at a rehab, as was previously reported. She was said to have checked into the Priory clinic on Thursday, but those reports are false. As Jaybird mentioned on Friday, she has been at the Four Seasons hotel in Hook, Hants England ever since she was released from the hospital following a drug and alcohol overdose on Wednesday that made her collapse in seizures.

She is said to be vomiting and unable to keep food down following her medical scare. What’s worse is that Amy supposedly thinks she will die young.

Last night a family friend said: “Amy has told her mum she is often suicidal and she knows she will die young.

“Janis [Amy's mom] and the rest of the family persuaded Amy to go to the hotel to recover after her overdose. They hope that by getting her out of the scene around Camden she will be able to see what she is doing to herself.

“But Amy is determined that she will NOT go to rehab…”

Amy’s dad Mitch is demanding minders protect Amy 24 hours a day so she can’t get access to drugs. He also wants her record label to scrap tour commitments for the rest of the year.

Amy’s friends are rumored to dislike Blake and to widely believe he is dragging her down. He is the only person who is able to get through to her, they claim.

News of the World has a bunch of exclusive quotes from Amy who supposedly talked to the rag while she was eating breakfast alone on Saturday. These quotes are too effusive and revealing to be true:

Sitting alone at breakfast yesterday Amy told us: “It was just crazy—one of the most terrifying moments of my life.

“I don’t know how to explain what happened. I don’t really know myself.

“I can’t remember what I looked like. I couldn’t recognise myself. It was terrifying—I was terrified.

“I was so out of control. It just happened. It shocked me. I’m sorry—I just don’t know what got into me.”

Wearing black shorts and a T-shirt and without her trademark beehive hairdo or black make-up, Amy, 23, said: “I never want to feel that way again.

“I’ve scared myself this time. I was all over the place. I know things have got to change. I have to sort myself out.”

Picking at a croissant, the painfully skinny star then put on a brave face and said: “I’m fine. I’ll be back at work on Monday. I’m fine, honest.”

While earlier reports had Amy injesting a cocktail of drugs including coke, pills, ketamine and various booze that led up to her overdose, The Sun adds smoking heroin to that deadly list.

At least Amy has been seen by doctors and a psychiatrist since checking into a hotel instead of rehab. She must have been serious about the lyrics in her hit song, and I hope it won’t lead to damage that is impossible to reverse, even if Amy is dead-set on it. Do you think there is hope for her? She seems like she’s incredibly stubborn, but I bet if someone could convince her to clean up she could do it with the same conviction with which she’s going down the tubes.

It turns out that Lindsay Lohan’s ultra nice rehab, Cirque, has a few conditions required in less plush rehab facilities. The Utah rehab requires its patients to clean toilets, wash dishes, and do laundry. TMZ claims to have several sources inside the facility, and they say Lindsay is no exception, and has to do chores like everyone else. TMZ also directly counters Entertainment Tonight’s claims that Lindsay was difficult and required special treatment.

“Sources inside the facility say that Lindsay attends12-step every day as well as other meetings, talks with psychiatrists and psychologists, and receives “other medical treatment.” She is not in a private room; she has two roommates. She spends time during the day and night washing dishes, cleaning toilets and doing laundry.”

Well that can only be good for her. TMZ also reports that Cirque is “considered the most hardcore drug treatment facility in the nation” and frankly, Lindsay needs no less. Most other sources are reporting that Lindsay has been difficult and required special treatment – but despite the conflicting reports about the other details, pretty much everyone agrees that she’s cleaning toilets. That makes my heart sing. According to the Sun, Lindsay has a pretty rigid, but definitely tolerable routine.

“Lindsay’s daily routine is:

6am: All patients are woken up.

6.30am: A river hike followed by meditation.

8:00am: Breakfast.

8.30am: Cleaning duties, including cleaning their rooms and her toilets.

9am and 9.30am: Group meetings to discuss the day.

10am: The patients are given an awareness talk.

1pm-4pm: Patients take part in compulsory activities including horseback riding or gardening.”

Entertainment Tonight’s source (the one discredited, according to TMZ) has some really unflattering things to say about Lindsay. It’s hard to tell who’s story is true, so I’m going to publish both sides to show the complete picture, and let you all decide for yourselves.

“JANE P., who left the center on Tuesday, says she believes Lindsay checked into the center last Thursday night — and that her arrival and stay has been disruptive to other men and women in the program.

“’Rumors [that she would be coming into the rehab facility] started after she had been arrested again,’ says Jane, ‘but it was never confirmed until she came, at which point we were given a complete rundown of things we could not do or say due to the confidentiality at the time we are staying there.

“’Before I left, she had not attended any group meetings, other than the AA meeting, and she was supposedly given a private room,’ Jane adds when asked if Lindsay was given special treatment at the facility. ‘She’s not being required to attend [meetings] like the other residents are … she is being escorted around privately, so to me that is special treatment.’

When asked how the star’s presence affected the environment at the facility, Jane says, ‘Things became more tense amongst the staff … a lot of havoc was going on … so things changed.’

Jane adds that Lindsay’s appearance at the facility started to make the other people staying there ‘uncomfortable.’ ‘Most of the young people were excited about having her come so that they could help her,’ she says. “’t’s very important for people to work together, and you see that people of your own age, your own peers are going through the same thing, however that was not the case [with Lindsay]. … [After that first] meeting, when she toured the facility on Sunday, she hasn’t been seen.’”

TMZ directly contradicts Jane P, and gives a little generic history on her. I do give their report some credence – they’re not known to pander to celebrities, so if they’re defending Lindsay, I’m guessing they must have a few reliable sources. Here’s what they say:

“Doctors at the facility say she has been cooperative from the get-go. As for the woman making the allegations, there are two facilities at Cirque — The Lodge and The Studio. We’re told Lindsay and the woman were at different facilities and there was only a short overlap. We’re told the woman dropped out of the program days after Lindsay arrived, “against medical advice.” Several doctors described the woman as “a problem.” We’re told the only way the woman could have even seen Lindsay was at group meetings — she was never in a position to even see Lindsay’s accommodations.”

Let’s hope this program really makes a difference for Lindsay. If this doesn’t work for her, it sounds like nothing will. Considering Cirque is “the most hardcore drug treatment facility in the nation,” it’s likely her best shot. Hopefully Lindsay is working hard and taking this seriously. According to TMZ, during that period between her arrest and showing up at Cirque, “Lohan went to an intense, medical detox facility in L.A. for eight days. She then went directly to Cirque.” Here’s crossing fingers.

Well they say that the third time’s the charm; let’s hope that holds some truth for Lindsay Lohan. MSNBC is reporting that Lohan has checked into rehab in Sundance, Utah. I wonder if she realizes that it has nothing to do with the film festival, and she’s unlikely to score any good swag. Lohan will be staying at the Cirque Lodge drug and alcohol treatment center. Hopefully for a really, really long time.

“Cirque Lodge was recently named by Town and Country magazine as one of the top substance abuse treatment facilities consistently providing outstanding levels of care.

“Cirque Lodge provides alcohol rehab and drug rehab treatment services at two main facilities: the Lodge and the Studio. The Lodge is described as “a private substance abuse mountain retreat with stunning views of both the Sundance Ski Resort and the cirque on beautiful 12,000 foot Mount Timpanogos.” The drug treatment center at the Studio is located near the base of Mount Timpanogos and the mouth of Provo Canyon, a world-renowned fly-fishing and ice climbing area.

“Admission guidelines state that a thorough history and physical examination will be completed upon arrival by the center’s medical staff, and it is also stressed that new participants keep an open mind:

“’We believe that recovery involves spiritual healing and ask that all individuals seeking addiction treatment at Cirque Lodge be open to exploring this aspect of their lives,’ say the guidelines.

“The rooms are certainly built for comfort, with private and shared rooms featuring down duvets and pillows, reading and relaxation areas, fireplaces or wood-burning stoves, and large bathrooms with slate tile and jetted tubs.”

I’m always surprised that so many luxurious spa-like rehab facilities exist across the country. My image of a drug addict is more “holed up in a rat-infested tenement on the Lower East Side.” Proportionally, there must be a small percentage of incredibly wealthy drug addicts that keep these places in business. Because I’m pretty sure that if you sent the average drug addict – no scratch that, if you sent the average non-drug user as well – to one of these places, they’d relapse on purpose. Actually, maybe that’s what Lohan’s doing. Several news agencies are reporting that she’s strapped for cash. Maybe she just wants some nicer digs. Alright so here’s the required, “Good luck in rehab, I hope you turn your life around!” statement. I’m sure it wont work because you’re a self-involved ego-maniac that has rage issues. We wish you the best!

Brigitte Nielsen, one of the slurring stars of the “Surreal Life” and the UK’s “Celebrity Big Brother” has checked herself into rehab, according to her manager. She made the decision after a family intervention. He would not confirm what she checked herself in for, only to say that when she got out, they would have a big party for her with “Coca Cola only.” The National Enquirer reports that Nielsen suffers from alcoholism.

SYLVESTER STALLONE’s statuesque ex-wife BRIGITTE NIELSEN has checked into rehab in North Hollywood following a family intervention. New husband Mattia Dessi was among those who begged the Danish model/actress to seek help for alcoholism, according to the National Enquirer. Nielsen reluctantly checked into the Cri-Help facility on 9 July (07). Insiders tell the publication Nielsen has been fighting a serious alcohol problem for years. She appeared drunk on American reality TV show The Surreal Life in 2005. A source says, “It took an ultimatum from her family to get through to Brigitte - either she gets help or she loses her loved ones’ support.” Nielsen’s manager, Ryan Glasglow, confirms the actress is in rehab, stating “Brigitte’s getting the help she needs and has a positive attitude about her recovery.”

Anyone who saw Brigitte on the “Surreal Life” knows she was definitely on something most of the time. I remember one episode where the cast was supposed to record a song together, and Brigitte was passed out on the couch the whole time. She finally roused herself for about 28 seconds to record something. There are few things that will help your career – i.e. get you back in the headlines – like checking into rehab. What happened to the good old days when people would quietly duck into a rehab facility somewhere out of the way?

Dating Flavor Flav will do this to you. The rest of you be warned. I don’t mean the alcoholism, but have you seen this lady? I thought she was in her mid-sixties; turns out she’s 44. For a model, she has not aged well. Screw that, for a human being, she has not aged well. She is the best anti-drinking, anti-smoking, pro-sunscreen advertisement I’ve ever seen. I bet Flav’s giant clock was just a smack in the face to her. A constant reminder of the inescapable ravages of time. That’s got to be rough.

Remember Daniel Baldwin? How he was wanted for stealing a car and then went to rehab and gave Britney advice about staying sober? It turns out he had other things to keep his mind off drugs while he was staying in super expensive 50k a month rehab. (Not the one Britney was in, his was called Renaissance Malibu.)

He told the story of his journey to sobriety on a series of video diaries that were aired Tuesday night on Primetime on ABC. Starpulse News reports that he didn’t reveal the fact that he got the chef at the rehab pregnant:
