Newlyweds Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban were reunited after a two month separation and spent Christmas in their native Australia. Keith flew into Sydney after having completed treatment for an alcohol addiction in an inpatient rehabilitation program.

The country music star flew Down Under on Tuesday to be reunited with his wife of six months. It is the first time the couple have been back in Sydney together since their romantic June wedding and will no doubt bring back happy memories for them both. The pair, who are based in Nashville, were spotted holding hands as they left a film studio in the city before being driven away in a blacked-out car.

It is believed Keith, 39, has now completed addiction treatment in the US after a drinking relapse prompted him to seek help. Nicole has been in Sydney spending time with her family and enjoying outings to the theatre in the run-up to Christmas as well as working on her new film Australia with co-star Hugh Jackman and renowned director Baz Luhrman.

Keith and Nicole’s reunion was undoubtedly marred by the news that a woman claiming to be Keith’s longterm lover recently spoke to a British newspaper. A 23 year-old “model” says that she had a relationship with Keith from 2002 until May, 2004 - just a month before Keith and Nicole were married. She claims that Keith was constantly drunk or on drugs during their time together.

Commentors here note that it doesn’t seem right that this woman is speaking out at this point, and that she must be doing it for the money. Commentor Patty says it has come out that she was paid for the story, has an agent, and didn’t actually give all the quotes that were attributed to her. I think that the story was told to the Daily Mail for a fee, and that they made up the quotes. (If Patty could comment with a link to where she read that news I would appreciate it.)

It does seem kind of cruel for this woman to be speaking out now. As I mentioned yesterday, I think she’s trying to get revenge for the fact that Keith ditched her again after their brief makeup session in October, and is trying to cash in while she can.

This doesn’t bode well for Nicole and Keith’s relationship if it’s true, of course, but given Nicole’s history and determination, it seems like she’ll try to make it work for as long as she can.

Christina Aguilera seems to be giving quotes that may come back to bite her in the ass if her relationship hits a rough patch or breaks up. She must not read all the relationship quotes by Kate Hudson and Reese Witherspoon that were dragged out once their marriages failed.

She states that obvious by saying that marriage is “hard” and that the first year was difficult. She must be trying to commiserate with Britney in her own haughty “I’m better than you” way, but it seems rather foolish of her to open up her relationship to speculation.

Whereas most celebs will always tell you that everything is rosy in their gardens, Xtina has admitted that her marriage isn’t perfect.

She wed executive JORDAN BRATMAN last November and admitted: “I think it is hard.

“You are surprised and disappointed by certain things in your first year.

“I think the biggest misconception is that everything is going to be perfect and nothing will go wrong.”

However, the Dirrty singer insists she won’t be following in the footsteps of rival pop princess BRITNEY SPEARS and filing for divorce.

She added: “We have a strong bond. I’m prepared to grow old with this man. We look forward to the ups and downs.”

To prove her love for Jordan, Christina has dedicated new album track Save Me From Myself to him.

She said: “He’s helped me heal a lot. The song really just means having that one person in your life who’s able to pick you up and pull you out when you get in those dark spaces in yourself and are dwelling on the negative.

“They get you to look at all the bright and beautiful things around you.”

What she’s saying is true, but how wise is it of her to admit that there is trouble in her relationship? Shouldn’t she blow it off if asked, maybe say there are problems like in everyone else’s marriage but that love will carry you through or something?

I bet in another 6-8 months her marriage will be the next one to fall apart. Good guys are rare, but love and gratitude only go so far when you’re shaking your ass in front of thousands of people and have most of the world’s resources at your disposal.

Keith Urban was partying up a storm in Nashville while Nicole was off filming in Europe. Friends told Nicole that Keith was drinking again and she told him to go to rehab or she was divorcing his ass:

And with his wife away working Keith, 39, started to hit Nashville’s bar scene again.

Kidman was tipped off by friends that Keith was out drinking, and called to confront him.

“Nicole called Keith and confronted him,” an insider told Life & Style magazine.

“He got defensive and accused her of spying on him.”

But Urban eventually admitted his drinking to Kidman, and she flew straight back to the US to be by his side.

“She gave him a choice. He could enter a program or she’d leave him,” a friend of Kidman’s said.

“He chose the former. Keith can’t stand the thought of life without Nicole.

“That’s his motivation to kick this thing for good.”

And the pal says that Keith’s problems have had a massive impact on their marriage.

“She’s an emotional wreck,” the friend said.

“She would never say it to Keith, but she’s telling her family and close friends that her marriage is hanging by the thread.

“She says she wants to help Keith conquer his demons so the two of them can move on with their lives.”

Nicole is said to have turned to her father, psychologist Dr. Anthony Kidman, for help and advice during this difficult time.

Lainey’s Gossip speculates in her offhand way that Nicole is deciding whether it would be better for her image to dump Keith or stay with him at this point. They have an unstable relationship that is unlikely to withstand this latest pressure.

Lainey also says that Nicole has not visited Keith in rehab and that she did not accompany him there. Nicole has also reportedly been interviewing nannies, which leads some to think that she may be preparing to jump on the celebrity adoption bandwagon.

She could be pregnant or be preparing to be - she has been seeking fertility treatment as we reported yesterday.

I am trying so hard to gossip today, but I am all stuffy, dizzy and out of it. If I had a real job I would have called in sick.

Ryan Phillipe says that he likes to spend time away from his wife of seven years, Reese Witherspoon, because she nags the shit out of him, but that he loves and misses his children dearly. At least that’s what I read between the lines of his recent interview:

Flags of Our Fathers star Ryan Phillippe hasn’t worked with wife Reese Witherspoon since 1999’s Cruel Intentions (they met on set), but, he says, it’s better that way.

“Sometimes I think it’s a little cleaner to, at least at this stage in our lives, keep that stuff separate,” he tells Interview magazine in its new issue. “I’d never write anything off completely, but I just feel like there’s something to be said for the individuality and mystery of doing things on your own.”

Phillippe, 32, says he’ll never get used to working away from Witherspoon and their kids Ava, 7, and Deacon, 3. “That’s a difficulty that I don’t know if I will ever totally come to terms with. But I think I commit sometimes even further to a role because it leaves me less time to think about those things that make me feel sad, like not being around my children.”

Immersing himself in his role, he says, serves as “a shield or a protective blanket that keeps me from having to deal with the reality. If I can’t see my kids, and I’m in another time zone, I really have to live and eat and breathe the work around the clock, because that keeps me sane.”

Asked if he distances himself from Witherspoon when they talk on the phone, he says, “At times, yes. But because she does the same work, she completely understands.”

The couple makes sure that if one parent is making a movie, the other will remain at home with the kids. “That’s one of the ways we keep the balance,” Phillippe says.

But, he admits, “There are obstacles in every family. … It’s never going to be perfect – you just try to do the best you can and to create a life that is positive and full for them.”

Of course he’s being quite reserved and is probably following Reese’s lead of revealing just enough information that it’s interesting, but not particularly telling. That seems to be the best way to conduct yourself when you’re a celebrity. Reese must have laid into him after he admitted to Rolling Stone that his life’s dream is to smoke pot and lay on the beach all day. That’s a far cry from the loving, thoughtful father he comes off as here. Those Rolling Stone journalists must make celebrities feel like they want to party.

Reese and Ryan were said to be having trouble at the premiere of Flags of our Fathers, because a paparrazo overheard them arguing and they looked kind of pissed off at each other in photos taken at the time.

Page Six reports that philandering K-Fed, who is currently partying in Vegas with random women while his wife tends to their one year-old and newborn child, stands to get much more money then everyone assumes if he leaves Britney.

There was a story K-Fed gets more money in the pre-nup for each child he fathers with Britney, and that may explain why she got knocked up again so soon, and why his settlement stands to be this large if he leaves her.

How long do you think it will take K-Fed to blow through $10 million? The guy has a custom Ferrari worth more than a quarter of a million dollars, a Maserati worth at least six figures, and a $30,000 watch. There was a story that Britney gave K-Fed her no-limit Amex card last month to show him how stupid and gullible she is for trusting him. Maybe he used it to order this terrible pendant he’s wearing.

Things seemed rough but patched up recently for these two, as Britney has been supporting Kevin’s ridiculous music career by introducing him at the Teen Choice Awards and lending her vocals to a track on his new album. Now that K-Fed is partying in Vegas and being so aggressive with the paparrazi it seems like their relationship is just as bad as was rumored earlier in the year.

Reports that Cameron broke up with Justin may have been premature, as they were seen outside a Hollywood party wearing strikingly similar outfits on Monday night. Something must be up if Timberlake is lashing out at the paparrazi like this, though. Why would he freak out unless he doesn’t want to be photographed with Cameron? This could be one of those breakup get-togethers where you try to remain friends so that you both can cope with the split, but then end up sleeping together and wondering if you’re really meant to be with that person. The color-coordinating shirts suggest that they didn’t just meet up outside the party.

Maybe Justin is grumpy because he hasn’t had his cannabis yet. I know I can’t cope before my coffee in the morning.

Has anyone noticed Cameron’s super-long extensions? Her hair is just like Justin’s ex, Britney, now. Is that just a coincidence?

Brad Pitt shows that he’s acquiesced to Angelina Jolie’s request to never make their relationship legal by saying that he won’t get married until his gay brothers and sisters can, too.

Notice he doesn’t say they will get married when everyone else in the entire country can, he says they’ll consider it. First of all, it’s about damn time gay marriage was legalized, but it’s never going to happen throughout the whole US. Second, he doesn’t say that if this snowball’s chance in hell happens they’ll actually get married, he says they’ll think about it.

Angelina has been married twice and we all know how well that went for her. She probably figures all marriages are doomed and is avoiding another one. That could be the best thing for their relationship, as she seems like the type who will bolt if she feels confined.

Kevin Federline was interviewed on “Ellen” yesterday, and he revealed more than a little about his relationship with his pop star wife, Britney Spears. At first he said it was hard to compete with her, and then he backtracked by saying, oh he’s not in competition with her. Why did he say he was then?

K-Fed feels like less of a man because his wife is/was such a big star. He’s a crap rapper, but at least his band and dancers are decent. Here’s a clip of his awful performance on the “Ellen” show:

Someone blabbed to Star magazine that they overheard Katie Holmes having a legal-type lunch meeting in which it seemed like she was plotting to leave Tom. Given the vague content of the supposed conversation, however, it’s just as likely that she’s planning on suing someone in Hollywood for reneging on a contract:

In my opinion, Katie saying she wants to teach “him” a lesson means nothing. She really could be talking about some no-good producer who promised her a role.

Everyone wants Katie to leave Tom, and it’s possible that was what this meeting was about, but it really seems like Star is jumping to conclusions. They even show how easily a helicopter could fit into the back of Tom’s estate to whisk Katie and non-existent Suri away.

If Katie was having a “secret” meeting to plan on leaving Tom, would she do it at the popular “Beverly Hills Hotel?” I doubt it. She would whisper to some guy posing as a shoe salesman at Barneys. She wants to file suit for some other boring reason, and we’ll find out what it is soon enough. Of course I hope I’m wrong, though, because that would be good news indeed.

Beyonce is said to have told her fiance, Def Jam head Jay-Z, to quit his job! She’s reportedly jealous of Jay-Z’s very close working relationship with her rival, singer Rihanna. He helped make Rihanna a star, but Beyonce is fuming and wants him to step down as CEO:

MediaTakeOut has a good record with getting exclusives, so this could be true. I don’t agree that Rihanna is the one who is going to lose, though. This is going to backfire on Beyonce. You never mess with a guy’s job. Jay-Z didn’t get where he is today by listening to bullshit from women telling him what to do. Beyonce is going to get called on this, and it’s not going to be pretty.

Beyonce is reportedly planning a huge wedding with Jay-Z that will take place this fall on the Island of Anguilla.

I bet Jay-Z is going to tell her to mind her own business and not to mess with his career. If he doesn’t take a stand now and actually does marry her, she’s going to try to run his life.
