Star Magazine claims to have at least two “sources” that say that Portia De Rossi and Ellen Degeneres are having serious breakup-level problems at home. Their tenuous situation is said to have contributed to Ellen’s breakdown on TV over the seizure of the dog she re-gifted, Iggy:

According to multiple sources, [Ellen is] really in pain because her three-year romance with actress Portia de Rossi is all but over.

“Ellen would never have broken down like that on TV if things were right in her home life,” one source tells Star.

“Portia has been telling Ellen she’s very unhappy at home,” says a second source, who cites their 15-year age difference as one reason for Portia’s grief (Ellen is 49, while Portia is 34).

“When it comes down to it, she wants to be with someone younger and hotter,” says the source. “She wants out, but Ellen has been begging her to stay. Portia is really everything everything in this world to her…”

“She’s so terrified that she’s going to lose Portia, she just couldn’t go through with her everyday routine, especially doing the show,” says the second source. “The poor thing was so distraught, she could barely function.”

Ellen and Portia are also said to be having problems in the bedroom like a lot of couples in long term relationships. Ellen is said to be too tired when she gets home from work.

While Portia wants their love life to be more more active, Ellen is often too tired to keep up. “Her interest in sex is not what it used to be.” And that, reveals the second source, “drives Portial crazy!”

To compensate, Ellen is buying Portia expensive presents like horses, and she’s coming across as needy, which could be driving Portia away.

A friend of mine suggested it’s also possible Ellen is going through menopause. It could explain why she was so over-emotional on television over the Iggy debacle.

While it sounds like it could be true that Ellen and Portia are having problems, it’s possible that everything is fine between them and that Star is just jumping to conclusions after Ellen became so publicly emotional at the loss of her dog.

Meanwhile there is more more evidence to support Howard Stern’s claim that Ellen gave away an incredible 9 dogs that she adopted before Iggy. There was a story last week that she gave away a dog named Stormy without bothering to tell the original owners, and The Enquirer says she gave away a dog named Lucy in 2004. In Touch has her re-gifting two kittens in 2004 after signing an agreement to keep them. Ellen is said to just want to make sure animals are saved from being euthanized, and to be giving them a safe home until she finds a permanent family among her friends and contacts.

Update: If Ellen and Portia are having problems, they’re not showing it. They were out together last night at an party at the MOCA in LA, and were seen embracing and smiling on the red carpet.

Both Star Magazine and The National Enquirer are running stories this week that Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake are having relationship trouble, so it must be true. Biel and Timberlake, who just went public with their relationship through a series of outings last month, are said to be fighting over Timberlake flirting with other women.

The Enquirer has him flirting with “a young beauty at a turn out the vote event on September 27,” while Star Magazine names the woman he was flirting with that night as actress Kirsten Bell. Both gossip rags have The Hills‘ Lauren Conrad making a unsuccessful move for Justin, with Jessica Biel hearing about the evening afterwards and angrily confronting him.

Supposedly Justin invited Jessica to Toronto to visit him on the set of his film The Love Guru to try and make it up to her after that had that big fight over him flirting with other women:

The trouble began at a Beverly Hills “Declare Yourself 2007″ turn-out-the-vote event on Sept. 27, where, an insider says, Justing made a beeline for Heroes cutie Kristen Bell, 27. [Jessica Biel was not there that evening.]

“He was flirting heavily and being touchy-feely with Kristen,” says the insider. “They were talking very closely and holding each others’ arms. They hung out for more than an hour, whispering and laughing with each other.”

At the same time, The Hills star Lauren Conrad, 21, was making a play for Justin’s attention, too. “Everywhere he was, Lauren popped up,” the insider adds. “I don’t think either of these women considered him to be attached to Jessica, based on their behavior. (Though Kristen and Justin were both at the event, a rep for Bell claims they’ve never met.)

When word got back to Jessica, she went ballistic. “Jess just about dumped him on the spot,” says another source. “Justin got angry and said he and Kristen were just friends - but then Jessica ripped into him, demanding to know why all his friends are women and telling him that he needs to focus on her.

“Justin yelled back, saying that’s what he’s been doing. And Jessica told him, not when he’s all over someone else!”

Star claims that Justin and Jessica patched things up during her visit to see him in Toronto, but that it’s still rough going for them since photos of the two taken on October 9 show then walking apart and looking grumpy. It seems like they could just be annoyed with paparazzi and not with each other, but it could be true that they were fighting, especially if Justin’s flirting was well known.

Jessica is supposedly looking for more of a commitment from Justin. After dating him for ten months, she is said to want him to ask her to move in with him. She is also rumored to be looking for a token of their relationship, like a “friendship ring.”

Justin might have his own reasons to be jealous of Jessica’s friends. While out at a Packer’s game, a female friend of Jessica’s was seen grabbing her butt when Justin had his back turned.

People have been whispering that Gywneth Paltrow’s four year marriage to Coldplay frontman Chris Martin is on the rocks for some time. The two haven’t been seen together at an event or family outing in quite a while and seem to be going their separate ways.

While Paltrow and Martin have said that they make a point not to go to events together and try to keep their public life out of the press, there seems to be more to it than that. Back in September it was reported that the two must be having problems because Paltrow was reluctant to talk about Martin in casual conversation.

Last week Martin attended the funeral of a family member by himself, and was seen sleeping on the deck of a ferry, looking lonesome and haggard. Martin’s 55 year-old uncle died of cancer, and he made it a point to attend his funeral, but Gwyneth and their two children, Apple, 3, and Moses, 18 months, were nowhere in sight. It’s possible that the journey was considered too difficult for the children and that Gwyneth stayed back to be with them:

The millionaire Coldplay star made the journey to St Molio’s Church in Shiskine, Blackwaterfoot without his actress wife Gwyneth Paltrow and children, daughter Apple, 3, and 19-month-old son Moses.

He told the Sunday Mail: “I’m very upset. My uncle has just died and I’ve been to his funeral. It’s very difficult.”

He had travelled from his north London home to attend the emotional event, and the rock frontman’s hit song Fix You was played during the funeral ceremony.

Martin was reported to have been close to Angus, 55, who died last Monday, months after being diagnosed with cancer.

A family friend told the Sunday Mail: “Chris had a strong bond with his uncle and he was devastated to hear of his death.

“He made a huge effort to get to Arran, taking time out from his hectic schedule, and it was well appreciated by everyone.

“He looked totally exhausted going back to the mainland on the ferry.”

Chris’s uncle Angus, a chartered accountant, had lived in Blackwaterfoot, on the west coast of the island, with wife Caroline.

On Thursday of last week Gwyneth went out to meet friends at a gallery opening for Stella McCartney’s brother and then to a casino afterwards, when Martin was presumably back home from his trip to his uncle’s funeral. Martin did not accompany her. She wore a black mini skirt and tights and rocked that terrible 60s flat parted-in-the-middle hair that she sometimes styles but refuses to cut.

They may just be busy with separate friends and projects. While Chris is hard at work on a new Coldplay album produced by Brian Eno and Timbaland, Gwyneth is working on a cooking reality series set in Spain to air next year.

Still, it seems as if something is going on with their relationship. The last time I can remember that they were out together was September, 2006 when they were partying in London with Beyonce and Jay-Z.

And to make matters worse, Martin flipped out at a Coldplay press conference in Mexico City this March when asked about Paltrow. A female reporter asked him if he planned to do a duet with Gwyneth and he shot back at her, asking what her favorite sexual position was, as if the two questions were equivalent. Why was he so touchy about it?

They’re both still wearing rings, though.

Nick Cannon (of “Love Don’t Cost a Thing” and “Drumline” fame) has broken up with his abso-freaking-lutely beautiful Victoria’s Secret model fiancé, Selita Ebanks. She’s one of those models that is gorgeous but not in a slutty way. Such a shame. Maybe is she looked more like a skank, he would have stayed with her (you’ll have to forgive me; I’m having bitter man issues today).

“Nick Cannon and Victoria’s Secret model Selita Ebanks have called off their engagement and split up, Ebanks’s rep confirms to PEOPLE exclusively. ‘Selita and Nick are taking a break to focus on their careers but still very much love each other and remain the best of friends,’ says her rep, Melissa Raubvogel. Cannon’s rep declined to comment.

“The breakup comes just five months after the Drumline actor made a proposal that lit up New York’s Times Square – literally – as he asked Ebanks to marry him with the help of a jumbotron. By August, Cannon, 26, was more measured when it came to nailing down wedding details, telling PEOPLE, ‘We haven’t really talked about a lot of that stuff. You’ve got to take it slow.’

Okay first off, the jumbotron? You’re a semi-famous C-list type star, you’ve at least got a couple million to your name, and you propose on the jumbotron in Times Square? I can think of few places as unromantic as Times Square, and few visuals as unappealing as jumbotron. That must have been so romantic, as she’s stepping out of the cab, horns blaring, into a pool of gum and vomit. Cannon takes her hand, and a bum starts screaming at them. Then she arcs her head upward to look at the jumbotron, and he drops to one knee, realizes his pant leg is now soaked in urine, and then asks Selita to marry him. Sounds like it got off to a great start.

I’m not sure that I buy the notion that he wanted a big, blinging wedding while she wanted the courthouse. That sounds like something someone would say so that she could have the big, tacky wedding and not be labeled Bridezilla. But like I said, I’m having a bitter man day, so don’t listen to me. Listen to the girl who got proposed to with vomit on her shoe. I assume.

Amy Winehouse and got into a massive – and physical – fight with her husband, Blake Fielder-Civil on Friday morning, and there’s bloody, graphic pictures – and a host of witnesses – to prove it. The pair dropped out of rehab for the second time a few days ago and have been holed up in a posh Soho hotel in London. Late Thursday night, Amy left the hotel, ran across the street, and casually “hugged” a girl. The girl slipped Amy a package that we’re all assuming contained drugs. Keep in mind she has about 100 paparazzi following her all the time, so it’s not like she could do something like that and think it would go unnoticed. A few hours later, screaming was heard from their room, and after a while Amy ran out. She was bloody, and bruised, with scrapes and swollen knuckles. Her clothing was torn and bloody in places – even her shoes. She ran to the elevator, where Blake followed her. Even though there was someone else in the elevator, he screamed at her as she cowered in the corner. When they got to the lobby Amy jetted out of the hotel and flagged down some random driver, who drove her a few miles and dropped her off at a convenience store. Blake chased the car and then wandered through the streets of London calling for her at four in the morning. Eventually he reached her on her cell phone, and the two reconnected and went back to the hotel together – but not before the press got some crystal clear photos of the mess.

“Bloody and battered after ripping into each other during a drug-fuelled row, this is Amy Winehouse, the cream of Britain’s young singing talent, and her junkie husband Blake Fielder-Civil. Stumbling around the streets of London at 4.45am, the pair bore the wounds of an almighty row which spiralled wildly out of control. ..The fight in the early hours of yesterday left 23-year-old Miss Winehouse with blood staining her pink ballet shoes and the knees of her jeans. Purple bruises could be seen on the side of her neck and her knuckles were swollen. But her 24-year-old husband appeared to have come off a lot worse - with cuts and scratches on both cheeks and around his neck.

“…The singer returned to her hotel room and within hours other guests complained of raised voices, clattering furniture and screaming. Shortly afterwards, the concierge was called. Miss Winehouse, who has a history of self-harming, had asked for medical assistance to patch up cuts on her arm. At around 2.30am, said guests, the fight sounded like it had restarted - then Miss Winehouse was seen sprinting down the corridor to the lift, pursued by her badly bleeding husband.

“The couple then dashed into the street. An eyewitness said: ‘Just after 3am, Amy came sprinting out and down the road. She was in a real state of panic. Blake was running after her, but couldn’t catch up. Amy was so hell-bent on getting away from him that she ran into the middle of the street and flagged down a random car that happened to be full of girls. She was saying, ‘Quickly, I have to get in, I have to get away, please help me’. Her voice was breaking, you could tell she was scared. The car drove off at speed and ended up about a mile away at Charing Cross station. Amy got out and went into a 24-hour shop to buy cigarettes. She was looking completely out of her head. Blake ran after the car for a while. He spent the next half hour or so wandering around in a daze with blood over his face, looking in doorways for her, shouting her name out. Eventually, he got through to her on the mobile. There were a lot of tears and shouting, but they calmed down and met up at around 4am and slowly walked back to the hotel arm-in-arm. They got back at 4.45am.’”

You can view some of the more graphic pictures of their fight on the Daily Mail’s website. It really is clear that Amy’s life is spiraling out of control. Sometimes it seems like she almost wants it to, because she’s so public and dramatic about it. Why get your drugs publicly when paparazzi are camped outside your hotel room when you’re probably able to get them delivered to the room? Why drink at pubs all the time when you can drink at home? I’m sure her problems are more than real, but it seems like she wants them to play out in a public setting. Apparently the pair’s parents arranged another meeting (intervention) within a few hours of their fight. She and Blake left the hotel - a little cleaned up – with Amy carrying a picture of their wedding. Hopefully on their way back to rehab –separately.

While Pink was rockin’ it at the V Festival in England over the weekend, she managed to reserve her seat on the Britney train.

According to sources, Pink belted out the song, “Don’t Let Me Get Me,” but changed the original lyrics from “…tired of being compared to damn Britney Spears/She’s so pretty…” to “…tired of being compared to damn Britney Spears/She’s so crazy…”.

In other Pink-related news, rumors that her husband of two years, Carey Hart, was seen all over another woman at a Hollywood hotspot continue to run rampant. According to a spy:

“It sure didn’t’ look like he was married that night! He had a cute blonde in a tight dress sitting on his lap all night. They were laughing and drinking vodka with her arms wrapped around him in a corner VIP booth.”

A spokesperson for Hart says the reports are “inaccurate.”

To round out Pink’s rough week, she’s being sued for copyright infringement. A painting which was featured in the music video for her hit song “U + Ur Hand,” was reproduced without the permission of the artist, Vladimir Kush. The lawsuit was filed in Manhattan District Court on Monday, August 13.

Pink’s really had a double dose of trouble this past week and hopefully things will start looking up for her. She has a reputation for being a real hard-ass and while she’s proven she needs very little help from anyone to get through the hard times, I think deep down, she might be pretty vulnerable behind the wall she’s built up around herself.

Jessica Biel ran into her ex boyfriend at a friend’s wedding recently and she hung out with him all night. People say they were holding hands, kissing, and looking cosy. The two even left the party together for destinations unknown. Just Timberlake was off touring in Europe at the time.

While Justin was busy playing concerts in Europe, Jessica, 25 and Chris [Evans, who she dated for five years until last summer]… rekindled some old flames of attraction.

“Sparks were flying,” says an eyewitness who saw the two at a friend’s wedding reception held at Arnoldi’s Cafe in Santa Barbara, California, on Saturday, July 7. “It looked as if they were completely absorbed with one another.

“From what I could see, Jessica hardly left Chris’ side. They were holding hands and cuddling all night - even trading little kisses!

“They sat together and even walked to the bathroom together. Everyone was shocked because we thought she was dating Justin. But it didn’t look like she was thinking about him that night - she was consumed with Chris…”

“They seemed to be flirting and acting real cozy,” adds another eyewitness. “The wedding party took place outside in the bank area, and a couple of people inside the restaurant kept trying to get a peek at Jessica. They were wondering who she was with and why Justin wasn’t her date…”

A rep for Evans says they are “just friends,” but a source who saw the two says “you can tell she and Chris were close and had history together. Toward the end of the night I overheard Chris say, ‘Come on, let’s get out of here,’ and then they left together. He was really adamant - like he was really in a hurry to go and take her with him.”

The article goes on to say that Jessica and Chris played lovers in the (B) films Cellular in 2004 and London in 2005. I bet Star’s source is someone checking out the paparazzi pictures, but if these two were holding hands that does seem suspicious.

Jessica and Justin have been seen out together a few times, and she joined him on but they haven’t yet attended a public event together. Back in mid June Justin referred to Jessica as his “very dear friend” in an interview, so maybe she figured he wouldn’t mind if she stayed very dear friends with one of her exes, too. The wedding where Jessica was reunited with her ex came after she joined Justin Timberlake in Norway while he was touring at the end of June.

They’re probably still together, though, Jessica was seen handing out with Justin’s mother, and Hollyscoop reports that she was seen leaving his house this Tuesday morning. Biel also made a reference to the fact that she’s not really into getting married right now, she was quoted by ContactMusic as saying “What’s weird is: You’re single for 20 or 30 years, and you’re married for like 70. It doesn’t seem like a good ratio, does it?”

Why is that every woman who dates Justin Timberlake feels the need to publicly declare that they’re not the marrying type? He’s such a commitment-phobe.

The cover story in this week’s Enquirer is all about Julia Robert’s long-standing feud with her husband’s family. She is said to have forced them to go to therapy in order to work out what she perceives as their dysfunctional relationships. Her husband Danny Moder’s sister Jyl is an alcoholic and has often gotten into screaming matches with Julia.

Julia put her foot down and said that the whole Moder side of the family had to go to counseling or they wouldn’t get a chance to see their new grandson. She even wanted to go to therapy with them, but that idea was shot down. When she learned that they had discontinued their sessions, Julia freaked out, yelled “get out!” to her husband, and decided once and for all that they weren’t going to see her new baby.

“Julia has long felt that Danny’s family is dysfunctional - especially his sister Jyl, who has battled alcoholism for years now.

“Julia felt the counseling was necessary for the Moders so they could better fit in with HER new family and understand HER needs.”

She screamed :”Get out!” according to the insider, when Danny broke the news of the therapy lapse during a family vacation in Hawaii, just weeks before Julia gave birth to the couple’s third child, Henry Daniel, on June 18.

She’s so livid, says the source, the 39-year-old mom of three has now issued an ultimatum to the Moder family: Get back in counseling or you won’t see the new baby.

In January there was a story that Julia Roberts pissed off her in-laws by not telling them she was pregnant before she made an official announcement.

The Enquirer story says that some of Danny’s family blame Julia for their mother’s unexpected death from a heart attack. Julia famously snatched him away from his last wife and this was said to have upset his mother. Two years after Danny’s mother-in-law passed, Julia didn’t attend a memorial service for her due to tension with her sister-in-law, Jyl.

Family dynamics are always hard and you never know who did what, but it seems like Julia could at least let Danny’s family spend a few hours with little Henry.

Matthew McConaughey’s girlfriend, Brazilian model Camilla Alves, is said to be fed up with his free-living bachelor ways. He may live in a small Airstream trailer, but that doesn’t mean that his place is clean. Camilla is supposedly annoyed that his movable home, now parked near the beach in Malibu, is such a mess and that there’s no space for her to put her stuff. She’s said to not being staying with him until he cleans it out for her.

After three months of dating, the Brazilian model has had enough of his dirty living space and is refusing to stay there if he doesn’t do something about it. “Camilla’s not a high maintenance girl,” says a friend close tot he couple, “But Matt’s trailer is such a mess, she can’t even find room to put her stuff!…”

Until recently, Camilla loved Matthew’s laid-back lifestyle, but since he hasn’t shown any motivation to either go through his junk or move, the brunette beauty has gotten overwhelmed with the small space (an 8′ x 28′ trailer) and has demanded he clean the place out.

“Matthew has lots of pictures from past relationships, along with tons of football memorabilia,” says the insider. “Camilla doesn’t think he’s made any effort to make her feel at home.”

The article goes on to say that Camilla wants Matt to buy a house eventually, which sounds like a typical case of a woman thinking she can change a guy. She’s young though, in her early 20s, (although I can’t figure out her exact age as she just came on the radar when she started dating McConaughey) and maybe she doesn’t realize that men don’t change despite your best intentions for them.

I was certain that J.Lo was the one pressuring her husband Marc Anthony to join Tom Cruise’s Scientology cult, but a recent article in The National Enquirer suggests otherwise. Lopez recently said that she didn’t understand the negative portrayal of the soul-sucking Scientology cult in the media, because it seems benign to her since she’s buddies with so many brainwashed members and given the fact that her dad has been involved with it for 20 years.

It may be the case that if her dad couldn’t convert her that promises of movie roles from Cruise won’t either. The story has it that Lopez and Anthony were arguing at their Miami Superbowl show over whether they would tell an attending Tom Cruise that they were ready to join the cult for real instead of just trying it out and dabbling in the courses. Anthony urged J.Lo to say she was ready, but she told him she wasn’t so sure and that they should wait:

“Marc’s pushed Jennifer to embrace Scientology because he thinks it will boost her career. He also thinks it will benefit him and raise his profile in Hollywood,” revealed a source…

“It’s become a sore point in their marriage. And J.Lo’s unwillingness to accept Marc’s demands led them to fight in Miami, where they argued loudly and she was left in tears…”

“Tom and Katie (Holmes) travelled to Miami to see them perform at a pre-Super Bowl party, and Marc had wanted to tell Tom that night that they were fully committed, but he couldn’t - and that’s what led to the fight.”

They say that Lopez’s mother Lupe, a devoted Catholic, advised her against joining Scientology and said it could hurt her career. Marc Anthony has been influenced by a Scientology teacher with whom he’s been seen out with lately, and that likely prompted him to pressure his wife into joining.

If this news is true then good for J.Lo, it’s only going to cost her money and common sense if she joins Scientology.

Lopez is set to sing on American Idol on April 11, which is sure to be better for her career than being known as a cult member.
