Either Ryan finally accepted the Reese and Jake relationship or he’s using the jealousy tactic. Ryan eand rumored mistress Abbie Cornish were spotted and photographed kissing and embracing. Ryan is normally fiercely private about his personal life, but failed to hide his recent reunited love.

Ryan Phillippe was spotted getting cozy with ex-wife look alike/co-star, Abbie Cornish. The blonde actress was famously known as the reason one of our favorite celebrity couples split. They have laid low for a long time, but clearly there is still something going on with Ryan and Abbie.

If you remember accurately… Abbie was the rumored mistress that tore Reese and Ryan apart. He and Abbie had several romantic interludes while filming “Stop Loss” together. They were reportedly spotted making out in a sushi restaurant by several witnesses. After some photographic evidence surfaced of the affair, Reese reportedly confronted Ryan who then admitted to the extramarital activities thus causing the divorce.

It was also just a few weeks ago that he told “Man About Town” that he was ready kill himself over the divorce. Apparently he is over the temptation of suicide thanks to the help of “the other woman.” Abbie and Ava, Reese and Ryan’s daughter, were also photographed shopping for a Christmas wreath together sans Phillippe.

Those poor kids. They are the real victims in all this. Somewhere out there a family therapist is strumming his fingers in anticipation of the hours of therapy this will require. I just hope that Reese is being comforted in the shirtless embrace of Jake.

Oh greatest of sadnesses: Lindsay Lohan is single once again. Though Michael Lohan had called every major (and minor) news organization to report on his happy Thanksgiving with Lindsay and mentioned her lovely relationship with Riley Giles, it turns out the pair broke up right after the holiday. You know, a really big turkey dinner can do that to the best of us. You’re sitting there uncomfortably full, and you turn to Lindsay Lohan and realize she’s tanned to the exact same color of the turkey, and if she keeps doing that for a few more years her skin will have the same consistency. And suddenly, the fame and money doesn’t seem worth it, and you’re on the next flight back to Utah. But not before you make room for some pie. Because your turkey stomach may be full, but your sweet stomach still had a pie-shaped hole that needs to be filled. Am I projecting here?

Lindsay Lohan and Riley Giles, the 25-year-old snowboarder she met while seeking treatment at Utah’s Cirque Lodge, have ended their relationship, sources confirm to PEOPLE. “They’re over – they’ve broken up,” a source says. “They split after Thanksgiving weekend.” Adds another source: “She is concentrating on her life and her career.”

Lohan, 21, checked out of the exclusive Cirque Lodge on Oct. 5. She had been there since August. (The breakup was first reported by E! News.) A week after his daughter had left Cirque Lodge, Lindsay’s father, Michael Lohan, told PEOPLE about Giles: “He’s a great, great kid. If you met him, you’d like him.”

People also mentions that Lindsay is heading back to the studio to record her second album. I’m not sure if that’s really the best way to further your career, considering how poorly the first album did. Though she’s actually got a decent voice – it’s not nearly as embarrassing as Paris Hilton or Nicole Richie singing.

On the career front, Lindsay is gearing up to head back to the studio to record an album for Universal Music Group’s Motown label, to be released next year. (She had previously recorded with the parent company’s Casablanca label.)

A label source tells PEOPLE that Lohan “is expected to start recording within the next two weeks.” In addition, Lohan is gearing up for a scheduled cameo on ABC’s Ugly Betty. Says her rep: “As we left it, she was in talks to do an arc on Ugly Betty, which she is a huge fan of. She’s hoping that the [writers'] strike ends soon. She’d love to get back to work.”

Though a few reports of Lindsay trying to drink came in when she first left rehab, it seems that she’s actually been on the straight and narrow for the most part. Though her parents are world-class idiots, she’s reconnected with her father and remains close to her mother. The worst thing that’s been confirmed is spending too much time in the tanning booth. Hopefully she’ll stay out of random guys’ beds for a while and settle into her life for a bit.

I think I’m one of the only people around that isn’t skeptical about Jake Gyllenhaal’s sexuality; but then again I’m adorably naive that way. Just because he hangs out with a lot of men? Don’t most guys have a lot of guy friends? Okay he does have an affinity for bicycle shorts, but it’s not like he wears them to dinner or anything. That I know of. I don’t think their romance is manufactured, but I do find it odd that they appeared to go to great lengths to hide it, and then all of a sudden went public when their movie came out. Massively coincidental, but whatever. From what’s reported about Reese and Jake, they both seem like pretty similar personalities: nice if a bit “Type A.”

Jake supposedly really wants to be a dad and loves Reese’s kids. During those initial rumblings of a relationship several months ago, I remember reading that he was actually being a bit too parental towards Reese’s kids. But they seem to have established some sort of relationship that works: the two of them took her kids trick or treating last night, and seem to have a cute (almost too cute) relationship with her kids.

Jake Gyllenhaal and Reese Witherspoon had another PDA-packed public date Wednesday, taking Witherspoon’s two children, Ava, 8, and Deacon, 4, trick or treating in L.A.’s Brentwood neighborhood. Witherspoon, 31, dressed as a witch; Gyllenhaal, 26, an ape. “They were holding hands and swinging them in the air as they walked around the neighborhood,” adds a witness, who says Gyllenhaal often lifted up his gorilla mask to smooch his Rendition co-star. “Reese was laughing at everything Jake was saying.”

As Ava (also in witch wardrobe) and Deacon (dressed as a super hero) ran up to every door for treats, “Reese and Jake waited on the sidewalk and flirted,” the onlooker tells Usmagazine.com. They even started to act like a pair of giddy kids themselves. “Jake tapped Reese on the butt and then she hit him back — they began running a circle hitting each other!” the witness says. “Then Jake picked Reese up off her feet and she screamed.”

Gyllenhaal seemed to play it cool during his first public outing with Witherspoon’s children. “Jake ran up to Deacon with the gorilla mask and pretended to scare him!” the onlooker says. “Deacon laughed.” He also had a few scares for Witherspoon. Adds the witness, “Sometimes he came up from behind and nuzzled his big hairy mask into her neck.”

Ahh, I remember the first time a guy came up from behind me and nuzzled his big hairy… wait, no. Never mind. It’ll be interesting to see if this all pans out. The story seems a little contrived, but it’s hard to tell if that’s just due to the “family friendly” writing style, or if it really was a little hackneyed. They do seem a little too perfectly arranged, but people have said that about both of them seperately for years, so it makes sense that it would apply to them as a couple, too.

I hope this the last time I will be delving into Angelina’s tender feelings on Brad and Jen. It is fast becoming a story line that should be on “Days of Our Lives.” I suggest Dr. Phil coming in and medicate them all. Regardless, Angelina Jolie made a “solemn promise” to make nice with Jen.

Among the unmended rift between Jolie and Aniston, Brad reportedly also is super pissed that Angie isn’t making good on her child rearing promises. Mr. Pitt thinks the kids should have a home. One home that is somewhere safe and stable. Since being taken in, Maddox has had 15 different “homes.”

Meanwhile, Jen is bouncing back and forth between another Vince Vaughn break up-make up after being spotted with Orlando Bloom. Jen and Vince may not be back together, but the are now said to be “friends with benefits.” But you know how things go in Hollywood…if two people share an elevator one day, the next day one will be pregnant with the other person’s love child and have developed an overnight addiction to meth.

I do have one question when it comes to Brad, Angie and Jen. While Jolie accepted his advances…why is all the blame being put on Angie? Shouldn’t Brad be the one who should be undertaking the “making things right” job as well? I mean he was the slut that fell into Jolie’s poofy lips trap here. Thoughts anyone? (I know, I know. It has been a slow day. Pray for some juciy Halloween antics!)

I hope you enjoyed my football pun in the title because that is all I’ve got when it comes to sport related humor. I am as familiar with football as Peter Doherty is familiar with a shower. The celeb-fueled story involves the adorable Carrie Underwood and former flame Tony Romo of the Cowboys. The two called in quits recently and have already moved on. Carrie admitted that she knew her relationship with the quarterback was “doomed” from the start. Football came first and people started blaming poor performances on his focus on the beautiful Ms. Underwood.

Underwood says, “He is about football… I don’t think he’s at the point in his life where he would be willing to sacrifice football. He hated so much that people thought he was paying more attention to me and that was causing him to not do so well.”

Meanwhile, Carrie and Chace have made a dinner public a few days ago. Uma Thurman, 37, is rumored to be engaged to her new boyfriend, Swiss millionaire investment banker Arpad Busson, 44. He was said to have proposed in early October after just a few months of dating, but if that’s true he either didn’t give her a ring or she’s not wearing it out. She has been seen out since, including her infamous appearance at Fashion Rocks in a see-through dress, and she isn’t wearing an engagement ring.

Now Star reports that Uma has asked Arpad to move in with her in NY. He is said to have a home base out of London, so maybe it would be more convenient for her if he’s staying with her while he’s in NY:

After just three months of dating, Uma Thurman has asked multimillionaire financier Arpad Busson to move into her swanky NYC apartment! “Uma likes having Arpad at her side,” explains a friend, noting that Uma and hotelier Andre Balazs broke up “because he always had to work. She doesn’t like being by herself” But Arpad, the father of supermodel Elle Macpherson’s two children, “makes time for her.”

One recent story about Uma that might be true is the claim that she insists on doing her own hair and makeup when she’s on a movie set and refuses professional help. Whitney Bears does that too, but they make it sound like Uma is less stubborn about it and just doesn’t want people fussing over her:

An insider tells Star that whenever Uma works on a movie, she insists on doing her own makeup and styling. In fact, when she starred in the 2005 film Prime, she wore clothes from her own closet. “Uma doesn’t like a lot of fuss,” says the insider, especially when it comes to makeup. “The stylists would try to sneak in touch-ups, and she’d shoo them away.”
