It’s been a rumor for a while now, and it seems to be picking up some steam now that former “Bachelor” contestants Jake Pavelka and his fiancee Vienna Girardi have very publicly broken up. Sources are coming out of the woodwork to claim that Jake is gay – or, at the very least, has “gay tendencies.” Not that there’s anything wrong with that.

Paul Rosseau, who appeared on The Bachelorette, season four, didn’t mince words when he questioned Jake’s sexuality in an exclusive interview with RadarOnline.com.

“I definitely think he has gay tendencies, not only because of the way he dresses but also because he didn’t want to have sex with a beautiful girl and never really tried with the other girls on the show.” Paul said, before adding a glib, “Nothing personal, Jake!”

A bachelorette from season 12 didn’t want her name used, but told RadarOnline.com about Jake: “I think he has gay potential and definitely gay tendencies.”

Jake has emphatically denied being gay, but Vienna’s bedroom revelations have kept the controversy flaming. She said in an interview that Jake said premarital sex was a sin, but that was after he abstained from sex to go on a religious fast and after they started their relationship with passion. Vienna detailed Jake’s series of excuses for avoiding intimacy for six months.

Richard Mathey from season four of the Bachelorette said about Jake: “I’m not sure if he is gay, but it seems he just has no experience with those types of women that are on the show.”

Jake is now on the ABC Bachelor Pad and says Vienna was jealous of his acting career. She says he hid his acting ambition from her and lied to her about their future.

One bachelor from Jake’s season didn’t want his name used but told RadarOnline.com that the real issue about Jake is not his sexuality but his personality. “I couldn’t tell you if the guy is gay but I do have one word for you — goober!” the contestant told RadarOnline.com.

What exactly does “gay tendencies” mean? Either you are or you aren’t. Right? I’m so confused. But I’m not sure I buy it. Why in the world would a gay man agree to appear on a dating show like “The Bachelor?” I know he is a wanna-be actor, but it doesn’t make any sense to me. He could have been on a lot of other types of reality shows – Survivor, The Amazing Race, Big Brother, to name a few – that don’t require you to date a bunch of women and pick one for a bride. I think this quote sums it up pretty well: “I’m not sure if he is gay, but it seems he just has no experience with those types of women that are on the show.” Yeah…’those types of women’ being “skanky fame whores.’ But then again, Jake’s a pretty big fame whore too. But is he a big gay fame whore?

Back in the 2008 presidential election, I remember hearing a vague rumbling about an alleged affair Barack Obama had in 2004, when he was running for the open Illinois seat for the U.S. Senate. The sourcing was always weird for the story – I think one of the British tabloid started it initially. The alleged “other woman” was named Vera Baker, and she was a staffer on his Senate campaign. Now, a few years after the initial reports, The National Enquirer is beginning the claims anew. At first, the Enquirer claimed they had “video evidence” of the affair, but now they’re backtracking on that. So as it stands, their story is based entirely on the supposed eye-witness testimony of a limo driver who claims he drove Vera Baker to a hotel Obama was staying. Here’s more:

Reports out of Washington, DC: PRESIDENT OBAMA in a shocking cheating scandal after being caught in a Washington, D.C. Hotel with a former campaign aide.

A confidential investigation has learned that Obama first became close to gorgeous 35 year-old VERA BAKER in 2004 when she worked tirelessly to get him elected to the US Senate, raising millions in campaign contributions.

Now, the investigators are searching for a hotel surveillance videotape.

While Baker has insisted in the past that “nothing happened” between them, reports reveal that top anti-Obama operatives are offering more than $1 million to witnesses to reveal what they know about the alleged hush-hush affair.

Among those being offered money is a limo driver who says in 2004 that he took Vera to a secret hotel rendezvous in a Washington hotel where Obama was staying.

An ENQUIRER reporter has confirmed the limo driver’s account of the secret 2004 rendezvous and has also learned that on-site hotel surveillance video camera footage could provide indisputable evidence to the investigation.

Eh. CB thinks it could be true, and that Pres. Obama and Michelle have already worked through it, so there should be no public scandal. I tend to think that although the Enquirer has gotten some stories right about politicians’ sex lives, there’s so much misinformation about Obama anyway that this “affair” story has a 95% chance of being bullsh-t. I mean, what does it boil down to, if the limo driver is telling the truth? That he drove an attractive Obama staffer to the hotel Obama may or may not have been staying at. Mediaite has more criticisms of why this is all likely bullsh-t.

Also, Saturday was the big correspondent’s dinner, and by most accounts, Obama’s address was very well-received. He had some good zingers, but it all seemed pretty tame. Probably because Jay Leno was the keynote speaker – they should have gone Jon Stewart or Stephen Colbert. Here’s Obama’s speech:

Katie Price is not pregnant, according to her new husband, Alex Reid, the overly tanned meat head that Katie left her husband for a year ago. He was a nobody before Katie started messing around with him and now he has his very own column in the British version of Star Magazine. Who would have thought that being Katie Price’s rebound piece would make you famous? Anyway, despite Alex’s insistence, people are still speculating that the former glamour model is indeed in the family way, since she was told by her doctor to pull out of a planned marathon run this week.

Celebrity supermodel Katie Price, aka Jordan, has withdrawn from the Virgin London Marathon, fuelling speculation that she is pregnant.

The glamour girl told reporters that her decision was based on advice from her doctor who suggested staying at home instead, leaving the media to ponder whether Price and husband Alex Reid may now be preparing for their first child as a couple.

Price was due to join the 26-mile jog around the capital for the aid of Vision Charity – an organisation that raises valuable funds for children who suffer from dyslexia and visual impairments. She told reporters that she deeply regretted the decision to withdraw from the race, but gave no concrete reasons as to why, sparing a media frenzy of sorts.

Just last week Alex was forced to fend off a barrage of questions from the media over the possibility of the pitter-patter of tiny feet being on the way.

Price also told reporters that her preparations for the gruelling event had been going extremely well and that for a long time she has been eagerly looking forward to both running and making much-needed money for such a worthy cause. She did take part in last year’s event, with then husband singer Peter Andre, finishing the run in a little over seven hours.

I don’t know why I care about what this walking piece of beef jerky with bad tits does. Maybe it’s because she has three little kids, one of them pretty seriously disabled, and it seems like she’s way too wrapped up in her own personal bullshit to be a decent mother to them. So, what’s the consensus about Rihanna and Jay-Z? Are they “just friends” or collegues, or are they hooking up? Have they hooked up in the past? Are they attracted to each other? Would Jay cheat on his wife Beyonce? I don’t really know the answers to any of those questions, I only have my assumptions. My gossipy guess is that they aren’t currently hooking up, but they may have in the past, like a one-shot deal or something.

In any case, the rumors about Jay and Rihanna’s alleged hookups have swirled for years, and Rihanna is denying that sh-t. She even claims one specific hookup rumor was all around Barbados! It’s a good one too:

Yeah, I doubt Jay made her go down on him for a record deal. I think Jay looks at her like one of his investments, his protégé, his kid sister. But here’s another little interesting note: when I was searching around for pictures of the two of them in the same frame, I found something weird – they are very, very conscious of being photographed together, whether they’re staying at the same hotel, or leaving a club or going into an event, they are rarely captured together in the same “candid” moment. Now, they appear in each other’s videos and all, so it’s not that big of a deal, but it did strike me as weird. Like they’re trying too hard to make it look like there’s nothing to talk about.

The spirit of creative journalism is still alive and well in the British tabloids. Yesterday London’s Express newspaper reported that Jennifer Aniston was going to host her own weekly talk show on Oprah’s new network. Why in the world would a reasonably successful film actress do something like that? Well because she absolutely wants to, was the creative natural response. I mean who wouldn’t want to take their career down several notches? Oh, and money wasn’t a factor, since she doesn’t need it.

Aniston has agreed to do a weekly show for Oprah’s new cable channel, OWN, when it finally launches sometime next year, according to a report over the weekend. While the idea of the former “Friends” star putting her career on hold to host a weekly cable show seems improbable at first glance, the report in London’s Express newspaper says that Aniston is taken with the idea of starring on her own talk show.

Salary would not be a factor for the actress, who earns $5-7 million a movie, says the report. “She is doing this for one reason only; she absolutely wants to do it,” the paper quotes a source “close to the deal.” It seems that Aniston, 40, wants to duplicate what she saw last month as a guest on the Chelsea Handler show, “Chelsea Lately,” on the E! channel.

Considering all reps do is issue denials (must be the cushiest job ever; you’re paid exorbitant fees to say “no”), I don’t normally put a lot of stock into anything they say. But since this was an entirely unbelievable – and slightly embarrassing – story from the get-go, I’m going to go with Jen’s rep. As much as I’m sure she aspires to be the next Bonnie Hunt, her dreams will have to wait.

I’m not sure how many people care about this story, but it struck me as both newsworthy and odd. Over the summer, the third Bridget Jones film was announced. The producers were still in the early, early stages, and it was generally thought that once a good script draft came along, the film would probably be made, most likely filming sometime next year. A month ago there was even a report that Renee was refusing to gain weight for the third film, and that she was demanding a fat suit.

Renee walked the red carpet for Elle’s Women in Hollywood event last night, and she looked really pretty, didn’t she? That’s a great color on her, and though I still think she’s too skinny, this is the best she’s looked in a while, in my opinion. While on the red carpet, Renee did the media rounds and she was asked about Bridget Jones. She totally denied there was a third film in preproduction to multiple outlets. When asked by OK! Magazine about her return as Bridget, Renee said “I don’t know anything. Who said that?” When asked about the “rumors” of a third film, Renee said: ““Oh, goody!?? It is flattering. At Elle magazine’s Women in Hollywood Tribute in Beverly Hills Monday, Zellweger, 40, told Usmagazine.com that she has no idea about a third go-round for her famous British heroine (she gained about 40 pounds — and received $15 million — for Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason). “I don’t know!” she laughed. “Isn’t that funny? I get asked that every single day and I don’t know anything. It’s like a rumor!”

What’s definitely on her radar lately: renovating her apartment. “I haven’t had the nervous breakdown yet and I haven’t been committed,” she boasted. “That’s no small miracle. I’m very proud of that part.”

Zellweger explained that she’s living adjacent to the apartment during construction. “I’m safely away from the asbsestos and whatever else we might unearth.”

The Oscar-winner says that decorating “used to be a lot of fun, but now its too many decisions to make!”

The famously fit star prefers to watch other people’s renovations at the gym. “I go to the treadmill,” she explains, “and I choose between the Yankees and the Angels game or some guy in Australia buying a new apartment. I want to see what he’s going to buy!”

Zellweger has been romantically linked to Bradley Cooper and recently visited him on the Vancouver set of The A-Team.

Uh… I think Renee is on drugs. The third film has been announced. It’s on IMDB. Someone has spoken to her about it, I’m sure. So what is with Renee’s ditz act? Is she holding out for more money? Could be. But I think Renee simply doesn’t want to do a third Bridget film because she doesn’t want to gain the weight again. And I also think that Renee doesn’t want to fly over to England for half a year to make a film because things are going so well between her and Bradley Cooper. Call me crazy, but I think she’s head over heels in love with that guy, and she’s putting everything on hold, preparing to really settle down with him.

Just think, it all started out as a pleasant little summer romance. It wasn’t supposed to go anywhere. And yet, here we are, still talking about Kate Hudson and Alex Rodriguez. Their relationship started in late spring of this year, and it’s lasted until the fall. Good for them. Seriously. The rumors about Kate and Alex have been mixed – everything from “they’re moving in together and getting married” to “everybody hates them together”. I tend to think Kate is probably following her standard operating procedure in this relationship – she moves in really fast, gets serious and loved up in a matter of weeks, and spends the rest of the relationship, however long, eating the guy’s soul. I mean that in a good way.

I’ve been reading bits and pieces of this latest “Kate Hudson is knocked up” rumor for several weeks. I think it’s because Kate wears loose, hippie clothes that make her look bumptastic (pictures here and here), and because when Kate gains weight, it tends to go to her stomach. I don’t think it’s a baby bump. I think it’s Yankee Stadium’s hot dogs and beer.

Well unfortunately for Lady Gaga, that’s what’s happening to her after Kermit the Frog gave her a ride to the VMAs. As a show of gratitude she gave him a kiss (People has the picture) and the pair were instantly said to be together, obviously enraging a jealous Miss Piggy. Kermit’s gone on the defensive, trying to get it out there that he and Lady Gaga are not together, never have been, and are just friends.

When Lady Gaga rolled up to the MTV Video Music Awards, the world was agog at the identity of her high-profile date – America’s Frog Next Door, Kermit the Frog. After all, the movie and TV star, singer and former pollywog had long been linked romantically to frequent costar Miss Piggy. Had he gone from mild-mannered Muppet to amphibian Jon Gosselin?

Not at all, Kermit insists. He fesses up about his date with Lady Gaga (who called him, not vice versa) and his relationship with a certain pig, dispenses advice to Kanye West and hints at why you haven’t seen him and Fozzie Bear out on the town together, in this special Q & A with PEOPLE.com.

It makes me happy that the good folks at People still enjoy a little whimsy. However I’m still not convinced that Lady Gaga and Kermit didn’t have at least a little fling. I mean there’s all this talk of a kiss – do you inherently kiss someone just because they gave you a ride to an awards show? And he knows about her in private? I think something was going on there, because Kermit’s saying all these things that could be interpreted a dozen different ways. But it sounds like there’s a lot of jealousy and drama going on in this love triangle. Lady Gaga did wear that Kermit coat a while ago. If that’s not some creepy form of obsession I don’t know what is.

The folks over at Star are about to wet their pants. Since People got a source to confirm that Britney Spears is dating her agent Jason Trawick, Star has managed to hold out a whopping seven days before claiming she’s getting married. That’s like a little kid waiting over half an hour to use the bathroom, doing the potty dance the whole time. You know their staff was just bouncing back and forth from one leg to the other (with the alternating hopping up and down) while whining “Nowwwwwwwwww??? Can I go nooooooowwwwwww?” The waiting must have nearly killed them.

So yes, Britney and Jason are getting married. Well, by “yes,” I mean “yes, if you’re willing to believe Star.” With them it’s just an inevitability – as soon as a celeb starts dating someone, they’re either about to get married or about to have a baby until the celeb either gives in and does it (I’m convinced that’s the only reason celebs actually do anything – to get In Touch and Us Weekly off their backs) or they break up. Frankly I’m sort of shocked Britney and Jason are only getting married and not adopting three babies and buying a new mansion while hammering out their pre-nup. And making unicorns fall from the sky – which is stupid, that’d only happen in Life & Style.

In the June 29 issue of Star, we exclusively report that after two failed marriages — one that last only 55 hours! — Britney Spears is preparing to walk down the aisle again, this time with her agent turned lover, Jason Trawick.

After more than three years of casual hookups, Brit and Jason took their relationship to the next level while they were on vacation in the Bahamas last month. That’s when Brit and Jason shared a special night together during which Jason popped the question!

“He didn’t exactly get down on one knee, but Brit didn’t care. She said yes, and they opened a bottle of champagne to celebrate,” says an insider. “Jason held Britney for a long time and kissed her cheeks. They talked about their future for hours and didn’t go to sleep until after 3 a.m.! They just wanted to be alone together.”

Britney is already thinking about a December wedding — after her Circus world tour wraps this fall — and wants her big day to far outclass her previous ceremonies. For her first nuptials, to childhood friend Jason Alexander, her outfit consisted of a baseball cap and cutoffs! And she feels her wedding to Kevin Federline was a”trashy” affair.

Maybe it’s just my incredibly cranky mood, but I felt like I was going to have to head to the bathroom reading about how he held her for a long time and kissed her cheeks. Bar-f. Okay I think the whole juvenile potty-dance theme of this article has really gone overboard. But Star’s write up is so obviously fake – can’t they at least come up with non-nausea-inducing quotes? Don’t ask me to believe Britney celebrated anything – ever – with anything short of body shots. Just don’t, I’m not having it.

Britney is not engaged and she’s not getting married. I actually think Jason Trawick sounds like a decent guy – quite possibly the only time I’ve ever said that about someone Britney’s dating. But despite Star’s ridiculous article, I think it’s safe to say that if he does propose to Britney, it’ll be a long way down the line, and he’ll do it properly. Then he can kiss her cheeks until 3 a.m. or whatever.

Ugh, I read this “report” yesterday, and I thought it was total crap. But now other gossip sites have picked up on it like it’s really going to happen, so here you go: Jessica Simpson and John Mayer: The Sequel. Barf.

Mayer and Jessica were seen lunching together in Calabasas early in April. Mayer has a home in Calabasas, so perhaps Jessica came to him. They were careful not to be seen together, yet “so happy” to be with each other. They should both be ashamed of themselves… or maybe not. Could it that they’re perfect for each other? That they got it right the first time around?

OMG! John Mayer is really making the rounds!

An inside source reveals exclusively to X17online that John Mayer and Jessica Simpson had lunch in Calabasas earlier this month! The duo was very careful not to be seen, and the source tells X17online, “Jess and John looked so happy to see each other, and it looked to me like they were more than friends!”

What is going on here?! Would Jess dump Tony for John, or is she just being a great flirt friend to the newly single singer? And what would Tony think of this?! Think the NFL quarterback is scared of losing his lady to John?
