Ryan Phillippe & Amanda Seyfried “cool off” & Ryan hits on Rihanna

fp_6635034_seyfried_phillippe_lrr_01_04

Told you so. Told you that despite being in a three month relationship with Amanda Seyfried, Ryan Phillippe’s douche still rages. Several weeks ago, Page Six had an item about Ryan hanging out with his bros at a club, and I felt the subtext of the piece was that Ryan was up for some club strange. Then, just a week ago, Page Six had another item about Ryan and Amanda getting into some big public fight at a screening of The King’s Speech. And now Us Weekly reports that Amanda and Ryan are “cooling off” and that Ryan was trying to get in Rihanna’s pants. Ugh.

Is their three-month romance over already?

Ryan Phillippe and Amanda Seyfried were spotted having an intense conversation followed by a lingering embrace at the Chateau Marmont in West Hollywood February 7.

Days later, Phillippe was already on the prowl: He tried to pick up Rihanna, 23, at the Gucci/Roc Nation brunch at L.A.’s Soho House February 12.

“He said something to the effect of, ‘What are you doing tonight?’ and she signaled ‘sleep,’” a witness tells the new Us Weekly. “She was trying to be polite, but she was genuinely not interested. When a couple of her friends came up to join the conversation, he just walked away.”

The actor, 36, had more luck later that night, when he was seen leaving a house party with a pretty brunette. As for his relationship with Seyfried, 25: “It’s casual. They’re friends who hang out romantically from time to time and that’s it,” says a pal. “At one point, there was a chance it would develop into something more serious, but it never did. There’s no commitment.”

[From Us Weekly]

Yeah, I’m not sure how “casual” Amanda thinks it is. I think in her mind, she’s Ryan’s girlfriend. That being said, and I’m just playing devil’s advocate here – just because Ryan asked Rihanna what she was doing, doesn’t mean he was hitting on her. Ryan isn’t very cool these days, he was probably just trying to join Rihanna’s super-cool group. Or, you know, maybe he was trying to get in her pants. I don’t know.

What I do know: Amanda should dump him, no matter how “casual” their relationship is or isn’t. Chica needs to move on and find someone less douchey. I would even take Justin Timberlake over Ryan. She obviously has a type: sleazy, pencil-dick douches. Might as well go for the A-list version of that with JT.

Is Ryan Phillippe already bored with Amanda Seyfried?

fp_6635033_seyfried_phillippe_lrr_00_04

Sometimes a post just comes together. Like, there will be new photos to go with an interesting piece in one of the tabloids, plus another little tabloid report online, and all of it fits together so well. Such is the case with this story – these are new photos of Amanda Seyfried and Ryan Phillippe out and about in LA yesterday. Ryan and Amanda have been dating for three months – they first got together on Halloween (we think). So, it’s come for the moment when tabloids start gushing about how it’s true love and how he’s considering a proposal, all of that jazz. There are several things wrong about this relationship though: first of all, Amanda is an in-demand, cusp-of-A-lister, one of the hardest working of her peers. Ryan is a dude in his mid-30s whose latest career move was MacGruber. So… Amanda is in need of an upgrade, boyfriend-wise. Beyond that, the only thing wrong with Amanda and Ryan is how boring they’ve been for three months. There are no scandals around them. It’s rough (for me)!

Ryan Phillippe may have earned a bad-boy rep, partying throughout his marriage to Reese Witherspoon, but three months into his romance with Amanda Seyfried, the actor is decidedly low-key.

“They spend a lot of time at his house, just watching films and making food together,” a source tells Us Weekly of Phillippe, 36, and Seyfried, 25.

“They’ve settled into a comfortable routine already.”

Next step for Seyfried? Getting to know his two kids with Witherspoon, Ava and Deacon. Meanwhile, “he’s totally charmed her,” the source says of the actor, who visits Seyfried on the set of Now, her thriller with Justin Timberlake. “It’s nice they’re in such a happy place.”

[From Us Weekly, print edition]

So… they’re just a boring couple doing boring-couple things. Sounds nice and pleasant. But wait, is that really who Ryan is? Just a dude who gets to bone a 25 year old blonde within a boring relationship? Of course not! Ryan’s wandering eye is famous. And this morning, People Magazine had this interesting little piece:

The usually reserved Leonardo DiCaprio was pretty animated during his night out at Trousdale in L.A. There with a group of buddies, including Chace Crawford and Sebastian Stan, the actor puffed on a cigar and danced along to the music, lighting up especially when Willow Smith’s “Whip My Hair” was played. At the next table: Ryan Phillippe, who was surrounded with his group of friends.

[From People]

Okay, beyond Leo whipping his hair (hilarious), the bit about Ryan caught my eye. So… he was at a hot club with his bros. I’m not saying he shouldn’t be allowed some guy-time. But it certainly feels like he was trolling for club strange, right? Also: Haha, Leo didn’t want to hang with Ryan. Men can be such bitches.

Ryan Phillippe: “I wish nothing but the best for the mother of my children”

wenn111430

I tend to think Ryan Phillippe is a douche. I can’t really put my finger on it, though, like I can with someone like John Mayer. Ryan’s douche seems like a culmination of his rumored wandering eye, his general aura of sleaze, his habit of going for the youngest available blonde… yeah, so maybe I can put my finger on it. Anyway, one of the (few) things I like about Ryan is that he and his ex-wife Reese Witherspoon seems to be solid as ex-spouses who put their children first. You never really hear anything about Reese and Ryan fighting about their kids, and it seems like they’ve got the whole shared custody thing figured out. While Ryan will talk in detail about his exes – including some choice bitching about his split from Reese – I like that neither of them really disrespects the other’s girlfriend/boyfriend. Reese never said a thing about Abby Cornish, and Ryan rarely said anything but simple well-wishes to Jake Gyllenhaal, when Jake and Reese were dating.

So Ryan decided to issue a statement about Reese’s engagement to Jim Toth. While the words sound nice, I am detecting an undercurrent of…something else. Once again, I can’t exactly put my finger on it:

Reese Witherspoon’s first husband more than approves of the man about to be her second. Ryan Phillippe, who was wed to Witherspoon for seven years until 2008, is praising the actress’ recent engagement to CAA agent Jim Toth.

“I’m very happy for both Reese and Jim,” the actor tells the Daily News in a statement. “I wish nothing but the best for the mother of my children.”

Phillippe and Witherspoon have two kids together – Ava, 11, and Deacon, 7. The former couple met and fell in love while working on the 1999 film “Cruel Intentions.” Since their split, both stars have gone on to high-profile relationships: Witherspoon with Jake Gyllenhaal, and later Toth, and Phillippe with Abbie Cornish. The “Crash” star is now dating Amanda Seyfried, whom he was first linked to in late October.

In the May issue of Men’s Health, Phillippe said he still had “sadness and complicated feelings about my divorce,” but wondered, “how beneficial is it to keep hanging onto those feelings?”

The month before, he spoke highly of his current relations with Witherspoon on Howard Stern’s Sirius XM radio show, revealing they have “gotten to a place where we’re great friends and great co-parents.”

He also said that their children weren’t too interested in their parents’ love lives.

“If the kids care about mom dad, and if that’s consistent and they feel protected that way, they don’t they don’t really care so much about who the parent is dating,” he said. “They just don’t.”

[From The NY Daily News]

“I wish nothing but the best for the mother of my children.” Is that a weird way to say it? It would be perhaps too impersonal to say “I wish nothing but the best for my ex-wife.” And maybe he didn’t want to just say “I’m so happy for Reese.” But to just identify her as “the mother of my children”. It’s weird, right? Or am I nit-picking? It just struck me as strange.

Amanda Seyfried and Ryan Phillippe might be getting serious

Last week, there was a brief article in Star Magazine that suggested that hot douche divorcee Ryan Phillippe was toying with lovely Amanda Seyfried, with whom he was first linked in early November. Star reported that Ryan stood Amanda up at the last minute for a planned getaway and quoted an insider who claimed he has also already “blown [her] off on a few occasions, and it just crushes her. It’s like he’s stringing her along.”

It looks like Ryan may have gotten over his initial commitment issues, as he was seen on a low-key couple-type outing with Amanda on Monday. The two went shopping together and out to a (post-coital?) lunch.

Just yesterday, the two braved the pouring L.A. rain to do some Christmas shopping and have a lunch date.

So just how serious is the new-ish couple getting?

The sparks were flying between the duo at Quality Food on 3rd St., according to an eyewitness.

“They were incognito,” a source tells me, “He was in a baseball cap and she had on a big jacket. They seemed to want to keep a super low profile but looked comfortable around each other.”

Amanda and Ryan were “laughing and flirty,” as she sipped on hot tea. After eating, the two left out the back entrance to avoid the paps outside.

“They’ve been hanging out a lot,” another source close to Ryan tells E!, “They both are surprised they haven’t been caught by the paparazzi.”

They may have managed to avoid getting papped together (for now), but we’re so on to you two! They must be getting serious if they’re out doing coupley daytime stuff, like shopping and lunching sans cocktails.

“I’m not sure if they are exclusive, but I know he likes her a lot,” the source says.

Just last week, they didn’t bother trying to hide their affection during a dinner date at Soho House.

“They were laughing and kissing the entire time,” an onlooker says.

[From E! Online]

Good for them. I can’t help thinking that it’s going to end badly for Amanda, as Ryan, 36, cheated on his then-wife Reese Witherspoon with Abbie Cornish, and then proceeded to cheat on Abbie with random women until she got fed up and dumped him. The next woman he dated briefly supposedly caught him making out with another woman – at her own birthday party. We know Amanda, 25, is attracted to jerks though, as she last dated Dominic Cooper, who cheated on her with at least a couple of different women. She deserves better, but like a lot of women she doesn’t seem to expect it.

Amanda Seyfried needs an upgrade from Ryan Phillippe

Amanda Seyfried’s last boyfriend (that we know of) was Dominic Cooper, and their relationship ended in a minor scandal, with Dominic very publicly hooking up with Lindsay Lohan in Cannes this year, when Lindsay was on her cracked-out fugitive jaunt. Since then, I’ve been waiting for Amanda to find someone nice – even though I think she’s the heir to someone like Goopy, she’s an up-and-coming young actress, and it would be nice to see her with someone exciting. Ryan Phillippe is not that someone. Back on Halloween, Amanda and Ryan were photographed together after Kate Hudson’s annual party. Many asked at the time if Ryan and Amanda were really a new couple – and now Us Weekly is declaring it so:

Candy wasn’t the only treat in store for Amanda Seyfried and Ryan Phillippe on Halloween weekend. Meeting for the first time at Kate Hudson’s costume bash in LA on October 30, “they were superflirty and had great chemistry,” says a source close to Phillippe.

“He’s always admired her. He thinks she is very pretty and a good actress.”

That night, Obi-Wan Kenobi (him and the dog (her) hit another party, and he drove her home in the morning.

Just a one night thing? No way.

“They’ve been hanging out,” reveals a Phillippe pal. In fact, the two saw each other November 7. Adds the pal, “One thing is for sure: Ryan loves those blondes!”

[From Us Weekly, print edition]

It sounds like it came from Ryan or his people, right? Like he’s the male Rachel Bilson, eager to associate himself with someone cool in the hopes it will revive his career. That being said, I worry that Amanda has sh-tty taste in men, so I wouldn’t put it past her to end up with Ryan, at least for a time. It’s an upgrade for Ryan – it’s a major downgrade for Amanda.

Of course, she is working with Justin Timberlake now. That I could see… JT leaving Biel for an upgrade with Amanda. That would be interesting.

Ryan Phillippe & Amanda Seyfried: new couple?

48854, LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA - Saturday October 30, 2010. Amanda Seyfried tries to hide despite wearing a large dog costume as Ryan Phillipe drives her out of Kate Hudson's Halloween bash. Photograph: Brabus, PacificCoastNews.com

These photos are weird, so I’ll just explain what’s happening. Amanda Seyfried is dressed up like a giant brown dog and Ryan Phillippe is not dressed in any kind of costume. They were both at Kate Hudson’s Halloween party, and they left together, in Ryan’s car, with him driving. This is enough for people to say “dating much?” Well, that and Amanda is exactly Ryan’s type – a young, up-and-coming blonde actress. First it was Reese Witherspoon, then it was Abbie Cornish, and Amanda would fit right in, wouldn’t she?

They may be just the classic Hollywood “friends,” but when it comes to Ryan Phillippe and any pretty blonde actress, we go on high alert! And RadarOnline.com has obtained photos of Ryan and Amanda Seyfried leaving Kate Hudson’s Halloween party together.

The pair did their best to keep photogs from getting snaps of them together as they left Kate’s bash. Ryan put the car visor down to try and hide his face, while Amanda tried to duck her head down behind the seat — no easy task as she was still in her big dog costume!

Ryan dated blonde Australian actress Abbie Cornish from the time he split from wife Reese Witherspoon in 2006 until February of this year. They met when costarring in the movie Stop-Loss.

Amanda had an on-again, off-again romance with Brit actor Dominic Cooper after they teamed up as costars in the 2008 blockbuster Mamma Mia, but they reportedly split for good early this summer.

Both Ryan and Amanda have been spotted out casually since their respective break-ups, but this is worth keeping an eye on!

[From Radar]

I remember something vague about Amanda dating one of her lesser-known costars a few months ago, but considering I can’t even remember who it was, and I can’t find it in a minute of Googling, I’m going to say that she’s probably a single girl right now. I’m also going to say that Amanda could do much better than Ryan. Granted, I think she probably has lousy taste in men, but at least Dominic Cooper had a career on an upward trajectory – Ryan’s is all downhill since MacGruber. Before that, really.

Ryan Phillippe’s girlfriend busted him making out with another girl at his bday party

Ryan Phillippe allegedly cheated on Reese Witherspoon with Abbie Cornish, and he allegedly cheated on Abbie Cornish with a bunch of other chicks, leading her to dump him. There’s a brief article in this week’s National Enquirer, in Mike Walker’s column, about how Ryan’s latest girlfriend busted him making out with another woman at his own birthday party. How stupid and horny do you have to be to cheat on your girlfriend at your birthday party? I guess that’s the ultimate passive aggressive move, and Ryan seems to be skilled in that department. Here’s Mike Walker’s story:

Ryan Phillippe just blew it with his brand-new galpal, actress Alexis Knapp, who caught him lip-locked and loving it with a hot babe during his 36th birthday bash at a pal’s Hollywood Hills pad. The party got off to a bad start for Alexis, who hated that “Jersey Shore” star Snooki was parading around in a bikini, rubbing up against all the guys. Later, irritated when she couldn’t find Phillippe, Alexis started searching, opened the door to a back bedroom – and exploded when she discovered him hot-and-heavy with another girl!

“Alexis went ballistic,” said an eyewitness. “She started screaming, calling them names. She got so hysterical, two friends had to haul her out and take her home.

[From The National Enquirer, print edition, October 11, 2010]

I love the fact that Ryan Phillippe cheating on a girlfriend doesn’t even rate a full story in the Enquirer. He’s like barely worth a mention both in terms of his level of fame and his predictable behavior.

Ryan’s career might finally be looking up after his disastrous last movie, MacGruber. He has a new film coming out, The Big Bang Club, in which he plays a photojournalist capturing the end of apartheid in South Africa in the early 90s. Ryan has been earning praise for his performance and the film got good reviews and a lot of buzz after premiering at the Toronto Film Festival. Maybe now Phillippe will earn more press when he inevitably acts like a douche.

Here’s Ryans probably ex girlfriend, Alexis Knapp.

Ryan Phillippe on aging & partying: “I still feel like a child myself”

 MacGruber New York Premiere

Ryan Phillippe is still on promotional duties for MacGruber, the film based on a Saturday Night Live sketch. While the film got surprisingly good-to-mediocre reviews, it’s only made $7.6 million in two weeks. So… it was a big bust. It must be embarrassing to still be promoting this thing, but Ryan obliges, and he’s got a new interview in The Advocate. The full piece is here, and the highlights (below) include Ryan talking about homophobia, gay jokes, and being forever young:

On being 35 years old, and what he does to look young:
It really blows my mind that I have a 10-year-old daughter, because a lot of times I still feel like a child myself. People always ask if I’ve made a deal with the devil, but no, not to my knowledge. I’m health-conscious in a lot of ways, but I do drink and have fun. I guess exercise is a huge part of it, and I do a lot of saunas and steams.

You frequently appear shirtless in your films. Do you ever feel sexually objectified?
Maybe earlier in my career, like when I did 54 and felt like I was naked the whole time. But I’m at the stage in my career where I have more control. If it doesn’t make sense to me, now I won’t do something that I would’ve just gone along with before.

Your shower scene in I Know What You Did Last Summer was also pretty gratuitous.
Completely, yeah, but I see that for what it is now. You have to get comfortable with it and realize that sexuality and finding actors attractive are a big part of the entertainment industry.

Those films in the ’90s certainly earned you a big gay following.
And thank God for that. I’m very aware and appreciative. Because I started my career playing a gay teenager on One Life to Live when I was very young, I’ve always had a heightened sensitivity to that response, and I’m definitely considerate of that audience.

While promoting Stop-Loss in 2008, you discussed your One Life to Live role on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. Those were two very different interviews, huh?
[Laughs] Yes, they were. One was very sensitive and one was not. That was such a strange, incredibly awkward moment with Jay. I didn’t understand what a “gayest look” was or why he would ask a guest to do that, so I was more shocked than anything. I just thought about the gay friends I have and how potentially offensive that whole direction would be to them. I don’t feel there was any malice behind it, though, and I know Jay regrets it.

Since its premiere at the SXSW Film Festival in Austin, I’ve read reports that MacGruber is rife with gay jokes.
There aren’t that many gay jokes. I took my best gay friend with me to the screening and he loved it. The funny thing about MacGruber is that he’s a deplorable human being—he’s sexist, a little homophobic, a bit racist, and a bumbling idiot—but somehow, and it’s a testament to how good of an actor Will Forte is, you still like him. The only source of any gay joke comes from what an asshole MacGruber is. When you see the WWE wrestler Big Show kiss another dude, it’s pretty awesome.

You were a major contender for the lead in The First Avenger: Captain America, but the part ultimately went to Chris Evans. Are you bummed?
It’s something I would’ve loved to do, especially for my 6-year-old son, who would’ve thought it was the coolest thing in the world. The child within me really loved the idea of it too. There are very few things I’d get that excited about, but as an actor you have to move on. At some point I’d love to do something action-oriented like that because I’ve been in martial arts since I was eight.

You’ll be wearing spandex tights in no time.
I hope so, man. Before I get too old.

[From The Advocate]

Funny how he makes jokes about how he could be “too old” for things, because many reports have him acting like a crazy kid in the wake of his split from Abbie Cornish. Just this week, In Touch Weekly describes his “recent hard partying”. Allegedly, he had one too many Grey Goose cocktails at a New York party, and according to a source, “Ryan was in full force, rapping at the top of his lungs.” The next night saw him getting drunk and making out with a random blonde, and another bystander said, “He looked totally wasted.” So mature!

Ryan Phillippe whines about his fame: “I am not Brad Pitt”

inked

You know, I honestly used to like Ryan Phillippe. I used to think he was a really nice, decent guy. I used to think he was a very underrated actor too. I don’t know when it really changed for me, although it was some time after he and Reese Witherspoon broke up. I didn’t really blame him for that, although I know the popular opinion was that he cheated and she left, I always thought it was probably more complicated than that. But at some point over the past few years, Ryan has just developed this skeezy, whiny, self-pitying, annoying personality, in my opinion. He goes on Howard Stern and slams his exes, he seems petty and immature, and he also seems like he’s trying too hard to bag his next hot chick.

Anyway, Ryan is the cover boy for the new issue of Inked Magazine. I’ve never really paid attention to Ryan’s tattoos, but apparently he’s very proud of them, and he talks about them in detail. I found those parts annoying, but if you’d like to read the full piece, go here. Ryan devotes most of the interview to whining, though. Do you feel bad for him?

On discovering acting and playing a gay teenager on a soap opera: “I was shunned by the church after I did it,” Ryan recalls. “Ostracized, in a way. It was a nerve-racking job at 17, when you’re just kind of understanding your sexuality. I didn’t know any gay people. I was nervous and insecure. The other actors were like, ‘You’ve got to speak up.’ But it was an amazing learning experience. It grew me up.”

On covering a tattoo: “No, but I did have a ladybug on my foot covered up. Its significance was with an ex. I put a stingray over the top of it. When people ask me why, I say, ‘Any animal that could take down the Crocodile Hunter deserves my respect.’”

On his messy break up with Abbie Cornish: “Those things are tricky, man. In this business, it’s like, I don’t know how people make it work—and they don’t for the most part. You can cite very few examples of people who do. Very few. It’s a challenge. There are long periods of separation, and there’s lots of interference and speculation. It just makes it hard.”

On the paparazzi: “In L.A. they are awful,” Ryan says of the paps. “I don’t understand. I am not Brad Pitt. I am not one of the biggest stars in the business. But for some reason they have it out for me.” Some people buy motorcycles because they’re fun to ride; Ryan bought his so that when the photographers chase him, he can lose them in traffic. “My mother hates it. She said, ‘You promised me you would never ride motorcycles.’ I’m like, ‘Mom, if I need to go to a doctor’s appointment, and I don’t want it written about …’”

Fears for his children: “I live in fear of the day my daughter searches her name [online],” he says, shaking his head in disgust. “She could see her entire life, from baby until 10 years old. I understand that there’s this curiosity, ‘Let’s see how the famous people made a child!’ But it’s incredibly creepy. Reese and I were really great at explaining all that stuff to them—they will never touch them or hurt them, and that the reason they’re pursuing us is because a picture of Mommy is worth a lot of money.” He breaks into a proud smile. “Our kids are brilliant, they’ve lived with it long enough. They’ve seen billboards of Mom on Sunset.”

On Reese Witherspoon: “She and I have a great friendship related to them now. They’re our focus, and I think we’ve done a really good job raising them and transitioning from what our life was to what it is now. I guess I haven’t been that guy who’s, like, loving attention. My thing always was, I love movies and I want to be an actor. That’s where it begins and ends with me. Now I’m realizing, yeah, I’ve got to play the game a little bit more.”

On his new film, MacGruber: “When Val Kilmer and I signed on to do the movie, the Internet haters said it was the end of our careers. They were like, ‘Look how desperate … they must need money.” The irony is I didn’t [do it] to get paid. I did it because I loved the script. It’s the movie I’m most excited for my friends to see. Will is the most fearless actor I’ve ever worked with. He’ll do anything. He’ll get naked at the drop of a dime and spread his butt cheeks. He does not give a f-ck. He’s very rock ‘n’ roll. … I wish I was more like that.”

More whining: “After the things I’ve been through in my personal life, the struggle that can be this industry, and all the bullsh-t that you deal with—people attacking you in the press and being hounded by paparazzi and then people shitting on whatever they estimate your talents to be—it can be really self-consciously heavy. You learn to ignore a lot of the negativity on the Internet. I don’t search myself anymore. It can really spin you out, the shit people write. So it was fun to go into a silly and fun job.”

On his future career: “Now that I’m getting older, I’m a little more open. I used to be like, ‘F-ck going to a fashion show—it’s superficial.’ But now I have a different appreciation for it. Plus, there are business decisions you have to make in my industry. You need to be relevant, because otherwise you will be forgotten. I’m not seen as that guy who opens a movie. So I’m a lot more open to doing types of movies I wouldn’t do in the past. Like, if I’m not known as a commodity, to some extent I won’t get to make the films I want to make. It doesn’t matter [if I’ve worked with Clint Eastwood]. It’s out the window. It’s a very strange thing, and it’s incredibly frustrating. I used to model my career after a guy like Sean Penn, and those careers don’t exist so much anymore.”

He’s thinking about getting a full sleeve: “Tattoos are like a map to your life,” he says. “Permanence is bravery. So many things in our lives aren’t permanent. Nothing lasts forever.”

Here’s the thing – I get that it sucks to have your life analyzed to the nth degree, I get that it sucks when strangers take photos of your kids, and I get that not everyone is cut out to be under the microscope. If it was someone like Tom Cruise complaining about it, I would give him the point. But it’s Ryan Phillippe! The only time the guy makes news anymore is when he whines about all of the press he gets. Or, you know, when he breaks up with a girl and she’s all “I dumped him, he was a bitch.”

Ryan Phillippe on his ideal woman: ‘unconditional love and patience’

fp_4817381_phillippe_ryan_l
Ryan Phillippe is promoting his goofy new action parody, Macgruber, out May 21, and has been giving some pitiful “poor me,” “I’m a victim” quotes. We last heard him whine to Howard Stern about how he was “getting sh*t on” in the press for his breakup with Abbie Cornish, adding “I don’t deserve it.” He told Men’s Health that he’s still kind of hurt about his divorce from Reese Witherspoon in 2007. He admitted “I still have sadness and complicated feelings about my divorce.” That’s so deep, right?

In the latest issue of Women’s Health, Ryan gives us some more insight into what a mature, thoughtful person he is and what he’s looking for in a partner. He says he’s looking for a woman who is funny, doesn’t make fart jokes, and who has “unconditional love and patience.” Does that mean she waits dutifully at home with dinner in the oven while he runs off with his latest costar or whichever woman is left at the bar at the end of the night? He seems to have expected that of both Reese and Abbie.

On how humor is a turn on
“Do something-anything- to make me laugh. If a woman is funny, that will leave an impression and stay on my brain. I like dark, intellectual wit. But no jokes about bodily functions. That’s not a turn-on for me.”

Wants “patience,” “unconditional love” in a partner:
“Unconditional love and patience. A lot of times, people are in a relationship with someone they’d love to grow old with, but things become tumultuous, and there’s so much that can divide you. That’s the challenge. I got married when I was 23; I’m 35 now [and divorced]. A lot of change can take place in that time. And actors are slightly handicapped by their lifestyle: Couples spend time apart and with other people, and we deal with public scrutiny. It’s hard.”

On how to ditch a date – either get drunk or use the kids
“If you’re not laughing and mentally stimulating the other person, there’s nowhere to go. You can resuscitate it by drinking. I always have the perfect excuse: ‘I have to put the kids to bed.’”

Claims he can rap
“I rap really well. I can sound like Lil Wayne or Ludacris. I’m dead serious…I can spit!”

He loves Jersey Shore
“I was really into MTV’s Jersey Shore . Oh my God. I got really obsessed. I would count down until the next episode-literally, like, ‘OK, four more days…’ I was into it. I’m from the East Coast and I knew guys like that growing up, so it was fascinating. I could relate to it in some strange way. The most entertaining character is The Situation: There’s so much insecurity going on there. But we don’t need to analyze the cast!”

Wouldn’t it be precious if Ryan started a solo rap career a la K-Fed? I don’t see what’s stopping him if he thinks he’s so talented. It’s not like his movie career is much to speak of lately. This guy seems so simple and downright douchey. He comes across as a devoted dad in the interviews I’ve seen with him, but he’s definitely not the sharpest tool. It’s like he can’t help but reveal what a stupid ass he is in just about every interview. Reese is so much better off without him.
