Sam Lutfi claims he never drugged Britney Spears and lives in constant fear

Britney and Sam out on 1/3/08. Credit: Fame Pictures

Sam Lutfi has it rough. First, he meets Britney Spears, drugs her, and tries to control/ruin her life. Then people tell him he can’t do that! No fair! Sam is suing Britney’s parents for all sorts of ridiculousness, and when you weed through all the legal jargon, that’s about what his case boils down to: no fair! Sam says Lynne and Jamie Spears have ruined his life; claims he never drugged Britney like Lynne alleged in her book, and says he lives in constant fear for his life. Giggle.

Britney Spears’ former BFF has filed legal papers in his defamation lawsuit against Britney and her parents, claiming they have ruined his life.

Sam Lutfi claims Lynne Spears’ book about her famous daughter is a pack of lies, especially the part in which she says Sam told her he secretly ground up pills and put them in Britney’s food.

Lutfi says as a result of the book, “I am constantly in fear for my life…” He says he was “harassed and cajoled by the public.” If our memory serves us correctly, Lutfi was cajoled long before Lynne’s book was published.

Lutfi trotted out his own cast of character witnesses in the new legal docs — notably the infamous Adnan Ghalib — currently being prosecuted for felony battery. Adnan wrote a declaration, claiming Lynne’s assertions that Sam was effectively holding Britney hostage were false.

[From TMZ]

Then Lutfi stomped his foot on the ground and started screaming “I wanna do whatever I wanna do!” He then hurled his body on the ground and started angrily pounding the floor with all his limbs in a classic five-year-old’s conniption fit. I absolutely adore how Sam Lutfi just cannot wrap his brain around the idea that he cannot do whatever he wants to do. And it just infuriates him, which makes me really happy.

If Sam had an ounce of sense – which I would never accuse him of – he wouldn’t associate himself with Adnan Ghalib for any reason, even though Adnan’s obviously willing to do whatever Lutfi wants. And frankly that goes both ways – neither guy is helping himself by being associated with the other. It’s just a sliding scale of douchery.

I’m surprised the court has allowed Lutfi’s lawsuit to go on so long without tossing it out for being so obviously meritless. Hopefully whenever they do they’ll also hold him responsible for the Spears’ legal costs. He’s got to have a whopping $3 to his name now, which is way more than he deserves.

Sam Lutfi has to stay away from Britney until 2012

britney petco 3 200108

Sometimes we forget that Britney used to be involved with some pretty shady characters. Recently, she got a 3-year restraining order against Adnan Ghalib, her ex-boyfriend and all-round creep show.

Now her family has been successful in getting a three-year restraining order against Sam Lutfi as well, which means that he won’t be able to come within 100 yards of her or her sons until 2012. Jon Eardley, a lawyer who questioned Britney’s father’s legal control, was also given a three-year restraining order.

Before Sam met Britney, he already had three restraining orders against him, and was generally known as a creepy guy. Britney’s old assistant says that when she was working for Brit, Sam came up to her in a Starbucks requesting contact information for the pop star and asking personal questions. He stalked for a while before he was able to wheedle his way into her inner circle.

Among other things, Sam crushed up drugs and put them into Britney’s food, took away her cell phone, and told her mother Lynne that he had control over every facet of Britney’s life. Here is a full list of the accusations against him.

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Aviva Bobb issued a three-year restraining order against the singer’s former manager on Tuesday.Jon Eardley, a lawyer who has repeatedly challenged the validity of Jamie Spears’s legal control over his daughter, was also slapped with a restraining order for three years.

Both men must stay at least 100 yards away from Britney, her two sons, and her family members’ homes, and must not harass Britney and her children, or contact them through phone, mail and email. It also prohibits them from “acting on Ms. Spears’s behalf or purporting to act on her behalf.” The orders, however, do not specifically protect Jamie and Britney’s mother Lynne Spears, which Jamie had sought.

The singer’s father, who initially filed the request on Jan. 30, alleged that both men have harassed his daughter, adding Lutfi arranged the smuggling of a cell phone to the pop star at a hotel.

Bryan Freedman, Lutfi’s attorney tells PEOPLE: “We absolutely will appeal this ruling. Never before in history has a restraining order been issued against someone who answered another person’s cries for help.”

[from People]

Answered a person’s cry for help? Yeah, right. This man is terrifying. He did horrible things to Britney and deserves to be in jail. Hopefully he will get what he deserves and Britney will be able to stay out of harm’s way. Recently, Britney was caught on her cell phone talking with Sam and Adnan Ghalib, so it’s clear that she hasn’t completely recovered from the time she spent with them. It sounds a little like Stockholm’s Syndrome to me.

The Spears family tries to have Sam Lutfi’s lawsuit dismissed

Kaplan and Lutfi Make Statements
Here’s Sam Lutfi addressing the media in January 2008 outside the courtroom where Britney Spears (driving) was supposed to appear during her custody case with K-Fed. She didn’t make it inside the building- and many feel that Lutfi was responsible. Photo credits: WENN.

The problem with bottom-feeding slimeballs is that once they get their hooks into you, it’s very hard to get rid of them. That’s what’s happening right now with one-time “manager” to Britney Spears, Sam Lutfi. The only thing Lutfi was managing was Britney’s frightening descent into drug addiction and mental illness. Ever since Britney’s parents came back into her life – pushing Sam out – the guy just can’t let it go. Lutfi had the balls to file a huge lawsuit against the Spears family. Now, the family is looking to have the suit thrown out of court. Go, Daddy Spears!

The Spears family is looking to strip Sam Lutfi’s suit to threads.

As part of a motion to have portions of the libel lawsuit Lutfi filed against them last month dismissed, attorneys for Jamie, Lynne and Britney Spears called the first seven pages of Lutfi’s complaint “a calculated attempt to exploit the court system by turning a legal pleading into a fanciful public relations press release with no factual or legal moorings.”

Documents filed March 11 in Los Angeles Superior Court state call Lutfi’s version of events a “broad, fictional account of matters.”

Tops on the Spearses’ list of Lutfi’s objectionable claims—that Britney has been under her parents’ thumb since becoming famous.

The passage in Lutfi’s complaint states that since Britney “burst onto the scene as a pop superstar, every aspect of her life and more importantly, her fortune, has been controlled by her parents.”

Some of the claims the Spearses seek to quash are allegations that they failed to offer Britney guidance when her life was “spiraling out of control,” made her annul her marriage to pal Jason Alexander and consorted with Kevin Federline during Brit and K-Fed’s divorce and custody battle.

The Spearses would like that section excised from Lutfi’s suit, as well as the claim that after Jamie and Lynne divorced, their “stranglehold on Britney’s life and career began to loosen. This posed a serious threat to Jamie and Lynne, who had become accustomed to the fame and fortune afforded to them as the parents of Britney Spears.”

Such statements are “irrelevant, false or improper,” states the Spearses’ filing.

Britney’s father has had legal control over his daughter’s finances, career and medical care since Feb. 1, 2008, when a judge signed off on a conservatorship arrangement following the pop star’s admittance to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center for psychological evaluation.

The legal wrangling at the time also resulted in a restraining order against Lutfi, which Jamie Spears is looking to make as permanent as possible, also obtaining orders against Brit’s ex, Adnan Ghalib, and Jon Eardley, an attorney who fruitlessly tried to fight the conservatorship on Britney’s behalf when it was first in place.
Lutfi sued the family Feb. 3 for libel, defamation, battery (claiming Jamie shoved him at one point), intentional infliction of emotional distress and breach of contract.

[From E!]

This guy has some serious screws loose if he thinks he has a chance with this suit. His claim that the Spears’ family controlled every aspect of Britney’s life in her early days is completely irrelevant. She was a minor! Of course they controlled her. In fact, if they’d done a better job of controlling her, she might not have been such a mess as a grown-up. While the Spears are hardly saints in this whole mess, they are definitely less dangerous than Lutfi. The guy’s a menace and a leach and if Britney’s parents had not intervened, she was heading for the same fate as Anna Nicole Smith.

But all that aside: Sam Lutfi is the one who was drugging and controlling Britney, pushed Britney to perform at the 2007 VMAs (arguably the worst performance of her entire career), intentionally made Britney miss court dates during her custody battle, and opened her home to the paparazzi – and he’s suing her family for “emotional distress?” He’s lucky that Jamie Spears only “shoved” him. Back where Daddy Spears comes from, it’s customary to unload a shotgun on your ass for that stuff. It’s hard to file lawsuits when you’re pushing up daisies. Maybe Sam should just crawl back under his rock before things get really ugly.

Britney Spears contacted Sam Lutfi and Adnan Ghalib on secret cell phone

fp_1566032_spears_britney_fp_101108
Yesterday, we told you how the entire Spears clan is making a very nice living off of their eldest daughter Britney. Probably the only family member who is actually earning his paycheck is daddy Jamie Spears, who stepped in as his daughter’s conservator and got rid of the insidious Sam Lutfi just when it appeared that he was poised to take over Britney’s life and cause her serious harm. Jamie appeared at a court hearing yesterday in Los Angeles with testimony that Lutfi had violated the terms of a restraining order filed against him last year. Papa Spears believes that either Lutfi or skeezy photograher/ex-boytoy Adnan Ghalib slipped Britney a pre-paid cell phone on which both men were contacting her.

There’s a hearing underway in the Britney Spears restraining order case against Sam Lutfi and Adnan Ghalib.

Daddy Jamie Spears is on the stand right now, explaining that Britney somehow got her hands on a pre-paid cell phone which caused him fits because they have been strictly monitoring the phones she’s able to use.

The nanny heard Britney talking to Sam and Adnan on the pre-paid phone in the wee hours of the morning one day. It appears Jamie believes Sam and Adnan got her the phone in an attempt to poison her against Jamie and torpedo the conservatorship.

If Sam did have any contact with Britney, he would have violated a court order to stay the hell away from her.

Jamie is trying to make the temporary restraining order against the dynamic duo permanent.

[From TMZ]

If Britney is still actively in contact with either one of these douches, you really have to wonder how stable she actually is. Both Sam and Adnan are shady guys who were clearly looking to exploit Britney for their own benefit. As much as I question Britney’s family in this whole endeavor, they are a lot less harmful than either one of those guys. If Britney’s parents had not intervened when they did, I believe Britney would probably be dead right now. Hopefully the judge in this case will be sensible and extend the order permanently.

Britney Spears’ dad wants to go after Sam Lutfi on drugging charges

britney petco 3 200108
We’ve been hoping for a long time that Britney Spears parents or legal team would somehow figure out a way to put Sam Lutfi behind bars. There was a report from OK Magazine last year that the LAPD’s Major Crimes Division was investigating Lutfi after he admitted to Lynne Spears that he continuously drugged Britney.

They did manage to get a restraining order against him based on the drugging and an epically long list of other things he did to control and isolate Britney. But nothing came from that story about the LAPD investigation, and it seems that Jamie Spears is finally ready to put Lutfi behind bars, since the Svengali has recently reappeared in Britney’s life.

Britney Spears‘ dad is reportedly working himself up for Round Three of his new fight against her former BFF Sam Lutfi.

Sam was banned from seeing Britney after her dad Jamie Spears was gained a control order over the star last February. Sam, who claimed he was Britney’s manager, initially accepted the restraining order but towards the end of last year, began making claims that Britney was unhappy with the conservatorship and he was trying to “free her”.

Last Friday, Jamie filed a request for a new restraining order against Lutfi and against Britney’s ex-boyfriend Adnan Ghalib, claiming they were attempting to disrupt her recovery – and this week Jamie hit back, starting legal proceedings against Jamie and Britney’s mum Lynne Spears, suing them for ongoing defamation, battery and breach of contract.

Now according to the Sun, Jamie is looking to pursue a charge against Lutfi for allegedly drugging Britney at the start of last year.

Lutfi is said to have given Britney drugs without her knowledge before her hospitalisation at the end of January last year. According to Lynne Spears, Sam admitted he “grinds up Britney’s pills .. [and] puts them in her food”, to sedate her some of the time and to make her “happy and fun” at other times.

A source told the newspaper that Jamie has held back from pursuing the charges thus far because of Sam’s cooperation but is now “determined to pursue a criminal prosecution”.

“Jamie also believes Sam tried to take control of her life and finances.”

A source close to Lutfi added though: “Sam isn’t going down without a fight.”

[From Fametastic via Gossip Rocks]

What I will never understand is why Sam Lutfi feels he’s entitled to any part of Britney’s life. He won’t go down without a fight? Why does he think he has the right to fight to control someone who is not a family member, a spouse, or a child? The guy is completely mentally deranged. I understand why Britney’s family didn’t pursue charges against Sam in the first place – probably hoping that they could get him to stay away from her. But now is clearly the time to put this whack job behind bars.

He needs to be punished in every conceivable way possible, so he will know he can’t get away with this stuff. The Spears should countersue him (he’s currently suing them essentially for cutting off his access to Britney) and go after him on every civil and criminal charge they can think of. This creep could easily have led to Britney’s death if it wasn’t for her parents stepping in a year ago, and he should be held accountable.

Sam Lutfi sues Britney Spears for not letting him take advantage of her

samsvengaliheader

Last week, Britney Spears had to get a restraining order against former “manager”/ Svengali Sam Lutfi and former boyfriend/paparazzo Adnan Ghalib. Lutfi had been harassing Britney as well as her friends and family, and both he and Adnan were trying to file legal documents on Spears’ behalf.

Instead of just listening to the court order and not being a complete psychopath, Lutfi responded today with a lawsuit against Britney – though most of the complaints have to do with her parents.

Sam Lutfi has filed a lawsuit against Britney Spears and her parents for libel, defamation, battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress and breach of contract.

According to the papers, Sam claims Jamie and Lynn “launched a campaign of lies and intimidation designed to destroy Lutfi and drive him out of Britney’s life.”

In the lawsuit, Sam claims he was standing in Britney’s kitchen on January 29, 2008 when Jamie stormed into the house. Lutfi alleges Jamie yelled at him, claiming Sam made a rude comment to Lynne the night before. Then, Sam claims, Jamie “intentionally punched him in the chest” and threatened to kill him if he ever heard Sam make a rude comment about Lynne or any member of the Spears family again.

All the claims of libel and defamation spring from Lynne’s book, “Through the Storm.” Lutfi says since the publication of the book, he “has been subjected to unfathomable amounts of ridicule and public scorn.”

Lutfi also claims Britney broke a contract with him and owes him unpaid management fees. He claims he had an oral agreement with Spears to be her manager for four years, earning 15% commission.

[From TMZ]

So this is basically an “I’m an asshole but I don’t like being called an asshole or people reacting to my assholish actions, so I’m going to sue you for it” lawsuit. Good for Jamie Spears for punching Lutfi. This may be the first time I’ve ever condoned violence. But frankly, considering the terrible things Lutfi did to Britney (he admitted to Lynne that he often drugged her, amongst other things), Jamie Spears reacting that way shows that he’s a good father. He and Lynne aren’t married anymore but they clearly have a very good relationship.

I’m sure this will all be thrown out in court since Lutfi is nothing more than a narcissistic, deranged sociopath. But this guy really needs to be in jail. I’m guessing the only reason the Spears family didn’t pursue charges against him last year was that it probably would have been too much for Britney to go through, considering her fragile mental state at the time. I really hope that something can be done to keep him out of their lives altogether, and hold him responsible for the atrocious things he did to Britney.

Britney Spears gets restraining orders against Sam Lutfi and Adnan Ghalib

britneysam
Britney with Sam Lutfi in December of 2008.

Apparently Sam Lutfi and Adnan Ghalib aren’t done with Britney Spears. This week the singer had to get restraining orders against them. Why? After an entire year of being out of her life and out of the spotlight, the two are still conspiring to undermine her conservatorship. That’s legal speak for “they’re trying to get back in Britney’s life and take advantage of her again.”

According to TMZ, the pair have been conspiring with lawyer Jon Eardley to act on Brit’s behalf legally. Eardley once tried to claim he was Britney’s lawyer (even though she already had one) in an attempt to challenge the conservatorship – at Lutfi’s behest.

Both Sam and Adnan have been communicating with Britney. Sam is obviously the bigger problem, being the more evil one. He’s been threatening Britney’s dad Jamie as well, and has sent out text and instant messages with false accusations. This guy sure is persistent.

TMZ has just obtained declarations from Jamie Spears and others in the latest Britney Spears case — Britney’s lawyer says Sam Lutfi had inserted himself and tried peddling false and hurtful info about Jamie, Britney and others in her family. Sam allegedly was calling lawyers saying that Britney wanted to hire her own lawyer, presumably to fight the conservatorship. Sources tell TMZ that is definitely not what Britney wanted.

As we first reported, the conservators for Britney Spears obtained a restraining order today against Sam Lutfi, Adnan Ghalib and attorney Jon Eardley. We’re told Brit herself is furious at Lutfi and Ghalib and would like to see them jailed.

Here’s the most interesting part….According to the legal papers, late last month Lutfi sent text messages to Brit’s hairdresser, saying he wasn’t responsible for the conservatorship. A week or so later, Britney received “instant messages from a person with the screen name ____….The person — who posed as the mother of a daughter with autism — made a number of utterly false and hurtful assertions concerning Mr. Spears and his family, threatening to go public with such purported ‘information’ unless Mr. Spears spoke with that person.” Almost immediately after Brit got those messages, Lutfi began calling Jamie.

[From TMZ]

Sam Lutfi has also been communicating with Britney and Jamie’s lawyers. And this guy isn’t trying to go under the radar when he threatens and blackmail the Spears. He actually thinks he’s so entitled to have a say in Britney’s life that he’s not afraid to go to lawyers with claims that he knows secrets about Brit and her dad.

One of the lawyers in the case filed a declaration saying over the past month she received “multiple telephone calls and text messages from Lutfi.” She says Lutfi wanted to set up an urgent meeting to “speak with Mr. Spears and me with regard to what he claimed was ‘information he had received about Mr. Spears and his daughter, Britney Spears as well as others.’” The attorney also says Lutfi claimed “he had been talking with Adnan Ghalib about the conservatorship and Ms. Spears’ status as a conservatee.”

In another document, one of the conservatorship lawyers claims “Mr. Lutfi has sent text messages and instant messages that contain false and hurtful allegations concerning Mr. Spears, Ms. Spears, and the Spears family.” The lawyer continues, “Mr. Lutfi, Adnan Ghalib, and Jon Eardley sought unsuccessfully to induce an attorney to file” false statements with the court.

The papers make it clear….”Over the past month, Ms. Spears has had numerous telephone conversations with both Mr. Lutfi and Mr. Ghalib and has exchanged numerous text messages with both of them.” But we’re told now Brit is so mad at them she wants them locked up.

Under the TRO, Lutfi, Ghalib and Eardley must stay 250 yards away from Britney, her parents and her kids. The TRO also prohibits the trio from “acting on Ms. Spears’ behalf…inducing or assisting another person to file legal pleadings” on her behalf.

[From TMZ]

This guy just doesn’t quit. Lutfi is both a master manipulator and a control freak – the perfect Svengali. It’s hard to believe that after all this time he’s still trying to insert himself into Britney’s life, and thinks he should have some say in it. He’s just some random, evil guy that passed through her life. He’s not family, he’s not a business associate. He’s nothing, and he knows his only claim to fame is as the guy who messed up Britney Spears’ life for a while. How pathetic is it that after a whole year, he’s still got nothing else going on in his life but to obsess over Britney?

I think Sam Lutfi could truly be dangerous. He’s clearly infatuated with Britney and can’t let her go. He insists on having a say in her life and can’t handle being told otherwise. He’s a control freak who’s gone so far as to threaten her family members. He seems like the kind of extreme person who won’t take no for an answer. Britney has a lot of security, but I hope she beefs it up. Better yet, I hope someone can find a crime to charge Lutfi with in order to lock him away.

Sam Lutfi plans Britney Spears tell-all

Britney and Sam out on 1/3/08. Credit: Fame Pictures

Sam Lutfi is the svengali who was accused by one of Britney’s former assistants of stalking the star and working to insinuate himself into her life prior to gaining influence and becoming her self-declared manager late last year. Britney’s friendship with Sam coincided with her mental breakdown, and people close to the pop singer painted a sinister picture of him. Britney’s mother described an incident in which Lutfi bragged about mashing up psychiatric drugs and sneaking them into Britney’s food, saying that Lutfi told her he was “trying to get her into a sleep-induced coma so that they could then give her drugs to heal her brain.” He was also said to be disabling Britney’s phones and cars, perhaps prompting her to drive around aimlessly, buy new cars frequently, and stay in hotels to escape him. Britney escaped Lutfi’s control through her father’s conservatorship and obtained multiple restraining orders against him, the last of which recently expired.

Lutfi was suspected of robbing items from Britney’s home when he left along with taking money from her accounts. He is thought to be out of her life permanently now, but he’s not about to give up. Now that he’s no longer able to intimidate and steal from the singer, he’s planning to earn some cash by releasing a tell-all. This news is reported in Star Magazine and it’s always possible it’s fabricated. Lutfi was often willing to talk to the press, though, and this sounds in character for him:

Star has learned that [Lutfi, 33, is] plotting a sensational exposé, which industry experts say could earn him millions. What will he spill? Sources say he’s ready to drop never-before-heard bombshells about sex and drugs – and offer a unique intimate peek inside the 26-year-old singer’s shocking meltdown earlier this year.

“Sam said he once dragged Britney out of cocaine party,” says a source. “She was doing so many lines, she didn’t even know where she was. She was stripping in the living room while doing lines with three guys who had sex on their minds.

“Sam also said that after Britney went to court for driving without a license and couldn’t drive her children around anymore, she went into a rage,” the source continues. “She broke almost every piece of glass in her home and said she wanted to cut herself.”

[From Star Magazine, print edition, August 18, 2008]

Assuming it’s true that Sam is planning a tell-all, I hope there’s not a publishing house slimy enough to publish it. Who am I kidding – there is probably someone willing to give him at least six figures for this. This man is lucky he didn’t kill Britney though. How many of us would go crazy like that if we were given excessive amounts of psychiatric drugs in random combinations against our knowledge or will? Psychiatric medication can be life-saving when it’s prescribed and used properly, but this guy just mashed up handfuls of pills and fed them to Britney. That would make anyone lose it. Yes Britney has mental health issues, which made her more vulnerable to this creep, but that just means her past exploits should be kept private. We learned enough about her problems at the time she went through the worst of them. I hope she can just move on with her life. This guy should have been prosecuted for what he did to her and not be rewarded with a book deal.

Restraining order against Sam Lutfi extended; Britney hits recording studio & gym

The restraining order against Sam Lutfi, the svengali-like guy who controlled and verbally abused Britney Spears, bragging to her mother that he would mash up psychiatric drugs and mix them with her food, has been extended until July 31. People Magazine notes that it’s possible that the restraining order can be extended for years, essentially keeping Lutfi out of Britney’s life for the foreseeable future.

Last month one of Britney’s former assistants told In Touch a chilling tale of being contacted by Lutfi in early 2007 before he had made contact with the pop star. He grilled Britney’s assistant for a half hour, trying to figure out how to insert himself into Britney’s life. The woman got the creeps and left. She says that a few months after she stopped working for Britney she saw a picture online of Sam with Britney she “got a chill down [her] spine” because she found him “stalkerish” and did her best to keep him away from her employer.

It’s clear that Lutfi planned to gain access to Britney and her fortune, and took extreme advantage of under the guise of helping. Thank goodness her father is looking out for her now.

Britney has rehired her old manager Larry Rudolph and was seen at the recording studio and the gym yesterday. It might be a little soon for Britney to jump back into her career, but she has to keep busy and it could help her if she has her music to focus on now.

Britney’s father’s conservatorship lasts until July 31, and People Magazine reports that it is likely to be extended beyond that. The tabloids were ran stories last week about how Britney was drinking again, but it was wine with dinner and the tales seemed a bit overblown so I kind of shrugged and didn’t cover it. She deserves a little break whether she wants one or not.

Britney is shown outside a recording studio and Bally’s gym yesterday, where she had a private personal training session. Thanks to WENN.

Sam Lutfi stalked Britney before befriending her, claims her ex assistant

Britney’s ex-”manager”/hanger on Sam Lutfi avoided being served a restraining order until the last possible moment, with a judge having to rule that it was still valid a day after the time ran out to present it to him. Now there’s news that he’s going to fight the order, with March 17 court date to present his twisted side of the story. The current restraining order against Lutfi lasts until March 17.

Sam supposedly said that he will call Britney to the witness stand to personally attest that she wants him back in her life and that she’s sick of her father controlling her. The News of the World quotes him as saying “I am going to call Britney to the stand so she can tell the world how I was helping her. I am innocent. I am Britney’s friend and would never hurt her.”

One of Britney’s old assistants has a different story about Lutfi. Kalie Machado worked for Britney for three months starting in December, 2006. She says that Sam contacted her and asked her a bunch of personal questions about Britney before he was able to meet her and insert himself into her life. He first arranged a meeting with Machado with the excuse that he was a private investigator and had “incriminating evidence” against the star. Instead of presenting anything to the assistant, he then asked a bunch of weird questions about Britney’s schedule and how to contact her. Machado left soon afterwards, and it sounds like she got a very creepy vibe from Lutfi. She says that she saw a picture of Lutfi with Britney months later and she was amazed to see that it was the weirdo who was trying to get to Britney through her:

Kalie Machado claims that while she was Britney’s assistant, she received a call from a man “at a restricted number” who said he was a private investigator working for Brit’s ex husband Kevin Federline. That man was Sam. “He said he had incriminating evidence on Britney and he was going to hand it over to me,” she recalls. “We arranged to meet in a Santa Monica Starbucks.”

Kalie was nervous, so she brought her roommate with her. She says she spent 20 minutes listening to Sam talk and when she demanded to see the evidence, he instead “asked all kinds of stalkerish questions – like when we leave the house and where Britney and I went.”

Finally, Kalie realized that Sam had nothing and left. “I got more calls from Sam after that,” she remembers, “but I just ignored them.”

Kalie stopped working for Britney… in February, 2007 and moved to San Francisco. Months later, she says she saw a photo on the Internet that made her stomach drop. “It was Britney, standing next to the man I met in Starbucks – Sam Lutfi. I got a chill down my spine.”

[From In Touch, print edition, March 10, 2008]

Machado says she’s happy to learn about the restraining order against Lutfi and that she “just want(s) to warn Britney – and other people – to make sure they stay away. Sam is a creep.”

There are plenty of other people who attest to the manipulative and abusive way Lutfi treats his “friends”. Before Britney, he had at least three other restraining orders against him and was accused of threatening and verbally abusing a male friend after the man started to pull away from him. Many people blame Lutfi for Britney’s rapid downfall and the way that she lost custody of her boys to her ex husband.

Lutfi bragged to Britney’s mother that he would mash up psychiatric drugs and mix them into her food. It’s possible that much of her erratic behavior over the past few months was due to being overmedicated by Lutfi against her knowledge. She certainly has psychological problems on her own, but it’s clear that she’s much better off under the guardianship of her father. Let’s hope Lutfi’s transparent plan to gain influence over Britney again is shot down in court in two weeks.

Britney is shown at Millenium Dance Studio last night, thanks to Splash. She really is looking pregnant I’m sorry to say. I hope it’s just that dress.
