This is a little piece of “Where are they now?” news, but it comes with a healthy dose of schadenfreude. Does everyone remember Sarah Larson? She was the Las Vegas “cocktail waitress” who dated George Clooney for a little more than a year 2007-2008. Through the course of their relationship, George pulled a Pretty Woman on her – he bought her clothes, showed her off on every awards show red carpet, tried to give her some kind of “modeling career” and bought her some new boobs. Of course, through the course of their relationship, we sort of figured out that she wasn’t just a cocktail waitress.

Of course, Clooney dumped her rather unceremoniously after the awards shows were over and Sarah began to get some ideas. Ideas like she wasn’t just plucked out of the air and made famous just because she was screwing Clooney. Ideas like marriage. Ideas like “I’m the one who can make him settle down”. After being dumped, Sarah hung around for a little while, riding out the 15th minute of her fame. But she’s been out of the public eye for about a year now – that is, until Fox News caught up with her over the weekend. Guess what Sarah’s doing now? She’s spiritual! And she does not have any warm feelings about Clooney or his latest Italian piece.

Former Las Vegas cocktail waitress Sara Larson became a household name in 2007 when she struck up a serious love affair with George Clooney, only to find herself a notch in Clooney’s belt a year later.

But despite rumors earlier this year that Larson may have her own Vegas-based reality show in the works, it seems she has opted for a more spiritually satisfying lifestyle and is earning her keep as a private yoga instructor in Los Angeles.

“I do yoga pretty much every day. I am a certified yoga instructor, so I actually teach yoga,” Larson told Tarts at the recent REALITY CARES’ SIZZLES Charity Benefit in Los Angeles. Nor surprisingly, the stunner says “all of a sudden” guys have started calling out of nowhere for private classes, and she’s now in talks to design her own yoga-inspired clothing line.

Meanwhile Clooney has apparently found himself a Larson clone, the thin, beautiful Italian brunette Elisabeta Canalis with whom he has been spotted canoodling quite a lot of late.

However, Larson too has found herself a new love (she said we wouldn’t know him) and says she doesn’t give a hoot about her ex’s romantic relations. “Dating has its challenges and either two people connect or they don’t,” she told Tarts. “There’s a lot of other factors that are involved as to whether it will be a long term relationship or not, but everything for me right now is new,” Larson added, her expression suddenly becoming stone cold. “I’m not in touch with George at all. I don’t have any regrets.”

When someone says “I don’t have any regrets” I usually hear “My one regret is that I didn’t cut off his wang with a butter knife.” But whatever her feeling for or about Clooney, I’m glad she’s moving on, and I hope she continues to talk about her brief moment of fame. It looks like George Clooney’s new Italian piece is going to be sticking around for the long haul. And by “long haul”, I mean “until George Clooney buys her a new wardrobe, shows her off on a few red carpets, then unceremoniously dumps her two months from now”. The woman’s name is Elisabetta Canalis, and she’s a 30-year-old Italian actress and “television personality”. She’s also got something else going for her, and I’ve got two theories about what that mysterious other factor is. Either she’s great in bed, and Clooney has decided to keep her around for a while and make her legitimate with some well-placed press, or Elisabetta has a really good publicity team of her own, and she’s going to milk this “relationship” for all she can get out of it, press-wise.

Everyone has been groping around for older photos of her, while photo agencies are loving this week’s photos, like these, of Elisabetta in a skimpy bikini. She’s being described by some as a voluptuous Italian girl, but I don’t see it. Yes, she has an incredible body, but she’s not very curvy. I thought George liked them with bigger boobs? Anyhoodle, Radar has been running stories about Elisabetta all week. Just this morning, they put up a NSFW photo still from her 2007 film Virgin Territory. Guess what? Elisabetta is topless, in a nun’s headgear. Classy!

Meanwhile, People Magazine, the official record on all of the A-List celebrity stuff, decided to put up a profile of Elisabetta. To me, this means that she’s getting the Sarah Larson Treatment by George and by the press. “The Sarah Larson Treatment” is what I call George’s actions for the year (2007-08) he was “dating” (“paying”) Sarah Larson, a Las Vegas cocktail waitress/bartender/model/maybe-call-girl. Clooney legitimized her for a short time, classing her up with expensive frocks and modeling gigs, paying for a boob job and making sure she was on his arm at the 2008 Oscars. The Italian showgirl Elisabetta Canalis, who was recently spotted on the back of George Clooney’s motorbike, has a warning for her lovers: They will have to share her bed with her dog!

Canalis is a well-known face on Italy’s TV screens and is now becoming famous around the world as the woman currently linked to the 48-year-old movie star. So who is she? The model and actress is a horse-loving 30-year-old known as “Eli” to her friends, as well as a former flame of top soccer stars.

“I have now become more fussy about who I date. And in any case my future boyfriend will have to share my bed with [her mini Doberman] Piero, too,” she recently told Italian magazine Tu. “Before in love I used to play much more, now I don’t want to waste any more time with wrong relationships. I just want someone who can make me find tranquility. I want to get home and find a person who can make me feel good.”

Canalis burst into Italian viewers’ consciousness on a satirical daily news show 10 years ago. She made her first appearance on Striscia la Notizia in 1999 as one of a duo of silent showgirls who danced around and carried the news reports.

After three years on the show, Canalis moved on to co-host a weekly soccer show, acted in some TV series, including comedy called LOVE BUGS and appeared in some Italian b-movies. Canalis also went on to do three topless calendars. And she was a roaring success. Her 2003 Max calendar was the best-seller of the season, according to an Italian publisher’s stats – and, according to rumors, the cause of her breakup with her boyfriend of three years, former soccer star Christian ‘Bobo’ Vieri.

Vieri isn’t her only footballer ex. She’s also been linked to Reginaldo and another handful of players, prompting some of the media to define her as a “serial soccer star dater.”

“Elisabetta is a beautiful girl full of life who embodies the Mediterranean woman: dark hair and a full figure. Elisabetta is a go-getter who is not afraid of expressing her opinion,” Alfredo Rossi, a journalist and friend, tells PEOPLE. “In a few years she has built a successful TV career thanks to her determination and hard work.” He adds that her biggest passions are horses and her dogs, Andrea, Piero and Vittorio, who lives at her family home in Sardinia.

And it sounds like she is ready for a longstanding relationship. On her private Facebook wall she writes, “I believe that the time has come to meet the love of my life.”

Clooney and Canalis met for the first time last week in Rome on the rooftop terrace restaurant of the Hotel Majestic, where the actor was dining with brothers Manuele and Michele Malenotti, owners of Belstaff, which Clooney has done ads for.

The couple spent a couple of days in Rome – with Clooney staying at the Hotel de Russie, a source confirms to PEOPLE – and Canalis, who lives in Milan, was photographed leaving the hotel on a number of occasions.

The Italian weekly magazine CHI, which is due out this week, reportedly has pictures of the pair kissing and hugging. The cover of the magazine has Clooney sitting with his arm around Canalis, who smiles as she leans back on to him in a cosy embrace.

Sources in Lake Como, where Clooney has a home, have confirmed that the pair have been out and about there too. They went to “Il Gatto Nero” (one of the his favorite haunts) and were seen having a drink at Harry’s Bar. The pair were also spotted – again on Clooney’s bike – in the center of Milan, where they stopped off at the Armani cafe.

Isn’t this a bit gross? I tend to think this People piece was a plant by Clooney’s team, not Elisabetta’s. He must really like her – well, he likes her enough to keep her around for a short time. This week there were more George Clooney announcements. George is going to be bringing his drama Men Who Stare At Goats to the Venice Film Festival (in August), and will then bring his comedy Up In the Air to the Toronto Film Festival (in September). Many people are now thinking that George wants to have someone pretty on his arm for the festivals, and having some girlfriend will probably help promotes those films. There’s always some juicy gossip from Sundance. The most obvious attendees are those who show up to promote their movies, as well as actors who are interested in seeing good independent films. And then there’s the set who come for the parties and swag. Joining the ranks of Paris Hilton and her new BFF is George Clooney’s ex, Sarah Lawson. She was seen out dirty dancing with seven guys and ended up going home that drunken night with Ryan Cabrera, Ashlee Simpson’s ex.

Larson spent the weekend at the Sundance Film Festival prancing around Park City with a bevy of Sin City boys, but her behavior caused quite a bit of attention at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Las Vegas after-party for the flick “The Vicious Kind.” Larson snuck thru the back door of the Hollywood Life House late Saturday night and after what seemed to be a few too many drinks found herself provocatively grinding half a dozen guys on the dance floor — yes, all at once.

At one point the oh-so-classy Larson apparently even had her legs wrapped around a gentleman’s waist. But in the end we’re told the model decided to go home with a star who wasn’t in her dirty-dancing troupe, and was spotted sneaking out with Ashlee Simpson’s ex, Ryan Cabrera.

But aside from her wild nights, perhaps attending the film festival wasn’t as fun for Larson as it could have been. We’re told the 31-year-old was denied entry into various gifting suites and venues and got quite upset when hosts refused to accommodate her … plus seven guys!

Somehow, this doesn’t surprise me. When it came out that George Clooney had actually broken up with Sarah before escorting her to the Golden Globes, the whole thing smelled a little fishy. Then pictures leaked of Sarah in her Vegas days, dancing and drinking in a bikini. Although George may have honestly seen something good in her, ultimately she seems like she’s in it for the fame. That would explain why she’s at Sundance soaking in the snow and celebrity. She’s cutting out a solid niche for herself in the C list. Ryan Cabrera is quite a downgrade from George Clooney.

Sarah Larson was given a huge promotion from cocktail waitress and sometimes stripper to girlfriend to the most eligible bachelor in the world for nearly a year. One would think that she was on easy street that whole 12 months, and one would be right, unless one were Sarah Larson herself. According to Larson, being George Clooney’s girlfriend is “stressful.”

Sarah Larson split from the ‘Burn After Reading’ star earlier this year after an almost 12-month relationship, but has admitted she felt extremely self-conscious whenever they went out in public together.

Asked how it felt to have dated the “sexiest man alive”, Sarah said: “No pressure. It was a little nerve-wracking because you know, everybody loves George, and so, to be in the public eye like that, it was a little bit stressful.

“It’s a lot to take in. I think I just went like a deer in the headlights. At times, I didn’t know what to do.”

When you’re way out of your league, and you know it, it’s always stressful. Even if you’re good at covering it up, when you go from serving watered down drinks to slot players in a casino to accompanying one of the most famous and adored actors in the world to the Oscars, you’re going to feel how much you don’t belong there.

Sarah still won’t say who broke up with whom, which means he broke up with her, and she won’t say why, which could mean any number of embarrassing things for her but doesn’t necessarily mean it was her fault. But she does say it happened quickly and that she and Clooney no longer speak to each other.

In some wise words some others could probably take to practice, Sarah said, “It was quick. You know, break-ups are difficult, but people, you know, we move on, go onto other things. I haven’t spoken with him in a very long time. Not necessarily that there’s hard feelings but we just haven’t. When you break-up, it’s difficult but you move on.”

I’m sure Sarah was really hoping to parlay her busted relationship into more celebrity opportunities, and it hasn’t panned out for her. It’s nice to hear, though, that she’s not hanging on to something long dead and gone and isn’t desperately clinging to any vestige of communication with George. Sounds like the best possible course of action for her.

I got the chance to read Sarah Larson’s full interview with Hello! Magazine and it has a couple of gems that I haven’t read elsewhere. Other outlets focused on Larson’s claims that she’s still friends with Clooney, that she will miss his “extraordinary dance moves,” and that she in talks for a lucrative modeling contract. There are some more things she said that are interesting enough on the surface. She strikes me as bland person despite what she’s accomplished in life – winning Fear Factor, earning plenty of money as a cocktail waitress, and scoring a date to the Oscars with Clooney.

On the photos of her bikini wrestling in Vegas: I was working

“I wasn’t shocked when those pictures taken of me in Vegas surfaced,” says Sarah. “I knew once I started dating George they’d come out, so I showed them all to him before they were published as they were posted on various websites. Most of them are of me working. All the girls I worked with were my friends so we got paid to have a great time together. I think it’s funny that they are made out to be scandalous. My thoughts on them… ‘so what?’”

There aren’t many people who get paid to get on all fours in swimwear, to wrestle with women, or to have men lick their feet. The jobs that usually involve those type of paid activities are legal in the state of Nevada, but are technically not allowed in the city of Las Vegas. I’m not saying that was involved in her job, but you can see how people would get confused as to what it is she did exactly.

On how she got into cocktail waitressing although she has an undergraduate degree in microbiology

“I worked there [at a homeopathic medicines company in Vegas] for about a year but it wasn’t paying my bills,” she says. “So I started modeling and that led to cocktailing.” It was, she admits, a big leap from the world of alternative medicine to the service industry. “Sometimes I feel I had two different lives. I like the fact that I have this obscure degree that people don’t see me as having and I can pull facts out of the air and shock people every now and then.”

Good for Larson for going to college and I would not have expected that from her. She didn’t give an example of any supposedly shocking facts she knows about microbiology or homeopathic medicine, though. In fact I haven’t heard much that’s all that interesting or unique from her.

On not needing a man to be fulfilled

“I don’t need a man to make me happy. I think you should be happy on your own and if you find someone who complements that happiness then that’s a great thing… I like a guy with a good sense of humor, have their own way of thinking, [sic] and be mature enough to communicate in a relationship.”

On using her fame “for something good”

“Eventually I’d like to start my own business and fade into the background,” she says. “I think fame is only appealing if you can use it in ways to help people. I’ve never had the desire to really want fame, and not that I have it I’m trying to use it for something good.”

Before we all scoff at Larson’s charity lip service, Hello! does say that she has “spent the last four years volunteering with AFAN (Aid for AIDS in Nevada)”

At least she knows her 15 minutes are up and says she’s ready for it. This interview with Hello! was her last hurrah and she doesn’t have delusions otherwise. She’ll pop up occasionally in LA and get her photo taken at some paparazzi hot spots. We may see her in some print ads. Either way, she’s over but she’s doing fine.

I wonder when exactly Larson showed Clooney those pictures, though. Was it before or after that motorcycle accident they were in together last September? There is no way this girl would have stuck around for so long if that didn’t happen. My sister in law had a theory that Clooney kept her around until the statute of limitations on suing him ran out, but that would have been two years and Clooney held out for less than a year.

George Clooney’s ex, Sarah Larson, is making the PR rounds to let everyone know just how awesome she is, just how great her life is going, and how she’s still good friends with George. Not to sound too cynical, but I don’t believe a word of it. It’s definitely more dignified to go this route than trying to drag the person through the mud, so I give her points for trying. I just don’t think it’s true.

Actor George Clooney certainly knows how to stay on good terms with his exes, if a new interview with Sarah Larson is anything to go by. Clooney split with the former cocktail waitress in May after a year together. But if anyone expected her to be bitter about losing her grip on Hollywood’s most eligible bachelor, think again.

“George is a great guy, a wonderful person. I don’t regret spending time with him and he’s a great person to get to know. We still remain friends and have kept in touch. In fact, we spoke over the phone a couple of days ago. He’s fun to be around, down to earth, laid back, funny and smart,” she gushed to Hello! magazine. And the Ocean’s Eleven star is apparently a man of hidden talents. “Most people know George has a great sense of humour and is an adept storyteller, but I will always miss his extraordinary dance moves,” Larson said.

Thanks to their relationship, however, she is now moving on to bigger and better things. “I have a lot of great opportunities, doors that have opened, and I have no complaints. I make good money. I have a house. I have all the things I’ve always wanted. I’m in a good place,” she said.

I’ve had some amazing offers come in, including one modelling campaign that may bring me to England soon. I can’t talk about it yet because it’s not a done deal. I hope it happens because I’ve never been to England and I’d love to spend some time there. If I do end up there I could find a nice British boy. I’d be open to the idea. I hear they have a good sense of humour.”

It sounds like Sarah is appreciative of the good things her relationship with George brought her, but I can’t imagine her possibly being so cool with him. But if she really is, then good for her. She is strikingly beautiful; hopefully she’ll be able to parlay her exposure into some kind of career. Not that eating bugs on Fear Factor wasn’t a good gig. It just wasn’t long-term.

Everyone is still busy speculating over what went wrong between George Clooney and Sarah Larson. The two split up after a year together – absolutely beyond record length for a Clooney liaison. Before that, His longest – and I’m guessing deepest – relationship was with his pot bellied pig, Max. Mike Walker of the National Enquirer has another theory as to what might have gone wrong, and according to him, Ms. Larson got a little too big for her britches in the Clooney household.

New clue in the intriguing mystery of why George Clooney abruptly dumped ex-cocktail waitress Sarah Larson – even after generously buying her new boobs and teeth! The bust-up occurred in part because risqué photos surfaced along with rumors of her fling with an old flame – plus sordid tales of her wild past that freaked Clooney out, as reported by The Enquirer – but here’s a tasty chunk of my very own prime gossip filet, folks:

Word’s just now drifting out from the star’s inner circle that Sarah, who once depended on tips herself as a scantily clad booze-server in Vegas, suddenly started acting like the future Missus Clooney around The Man’s household, cruelly ordering cutbacks to the hefty gratuities Generous George regularly lavishes on his personal staff.

For months, Clooney had no clue about Stingy Sarah’s sly cutbacks, but when worried staffers finally asked one of his higher-ups if the boss had trimmed everyone’s tips because he was unhappy with their work, the whistle finally blew loudly in the star’s ear and he went ballistic – raging that NO ONE had the right to counterman his orders! Just days after Clooney’s shocking discovery, it was suddenly “See ya, Sarah!”

Frankly it seems pretty clear to me that whatever ended George and Sarah’s relationship, I’ll bet it was an excuse. George Clooney does not date women long, and I’m sure he knew that if he went on much longer, he’d be expected to marry Sarah. The gossip was reaching a boiling point as it was.

I’m guessing he waited for the first thing she did wrong, and then gave Sarah the boot. A Clooney relationship isn’t a traditional one where the two people are partners who work together through issues. You get to date George – and he takes pretty good care of you, buying you new body parts and such – for a few months until he loses interest.

As soon as his relationship with Sarah deviated from his tried and true format, suddenly his entire identity was probably up in the air and he started looking for a way out. I wouldn’t be surprised if the actual dumping was because of something relatively trivial, though the idea that Sarah ever had enough control to influence his staff’s paychecks seems a little unlikely to me. Either way, she set a Clooney relationship record, and she left with two lovely parting gifts.

Update by Celebitchy: Many of you are pointing out in the comments that Clooney was married for four years, to Talia Balsam from 1989 – 1993, and had a relationship for several years with Lisa Snowden. Although he’s had other relationships that lasted longer than Larson, Jaybird is technically correct that his longest relationship to date was with his potbellied pig, though. Max lived to the age of 19, four years past his life expectancy, and was partially blind and suffered arthritis in his old age. Clooney had to urge fans to quit sending potbellied piglets to his house after Max died. He said he wasn’t ready to adopt another pig and good ‘ol Max would probably be his last.

In a not-all-that-surprising revelation, Page Six is reporting that George Clooney actually dumped Sarah Larson not because of her boob job or her supposed cheating with an ex-boyfriend, but because George had been cheating on Sarah for several months. The Post claims that George has been over Sarah for quite a while, but let her stick around in hopes she’d be able to parlay their relationship into some sort of real career.

George Clooney may already have found Sarah Larson’s replacement. Our source claims Clooney “has been dating a woman in her mid-30s” for months now, even before he split with Larson. The source also claims Clooney knew he was going to leave Larson months ago, and let her do interviews and some modeling to “get her a career” before the split. Larson also got some new breasts. A rep for Clooney, who’s vacationing at his house in Lake Como, said, “How does one as public as George secretly date anyone?”

PopSugar has a story and pictures of George vacationing with a woman in Lake Como recently. They point out that there’s no way to know who the woman is – she could be a friend – but it’s an interesting coincidence, when taken together with the Page Six story. George Clooney already hooking up with another woman isn’t exactly evidence of cheating though – I doubt the guy has to sit on the internet for several months, scoping out potential dates like the rest of us. I’m sure he can move on pretty quickly.

Contrary to an earlier story that George Clooney dumped Sarah Larson over her insistence on getting new boobs, the National Enquirer claims that it was Clooney who footed the $12,000 bill for Larson’s implants and that he was on board with it. It was only when rumors that Sarah was having a fling with an ex boyfriend in Vegas surfaced that Clooney called it quits, they claim. What’s more is that Clooney bought Larson new teeth last year. Larson’s new boobs are said to be modeled after Gisele Bundchen’s:

MSat reported a story on Wednesday from In Touch that quoted a supposed insider saying “George really didn’t want her to get the boob job.” Sarah and George supposedly had a fight over her new boobs, with Sarah storming out and finding out through the media that she had been dumped.

I would bet that Clooney was just looking for an excuse as MSat mentioned. You don’t think this girl would cheat on him, but she doesn’t seem like the brightest bulb and could easily fall back into old patterns. She was seen bumping and grinding with her ex at an event after the split.

Whatever happened, Sarah is still trying to get her 15 rapidly-decreasing minutes. She trotted along Robertson Boulevard on Wednesday with a trail of paparazzi following her.

Sarah Larson isn’t wasting any time spending the scant fame inheritance George Clooney left her with when he kicked her skinny ass to the curb. Yesterday she was seen walking along paparazzi-strewn Robertson Boulevard with a female friend on the way to lunch. Larson’s new boobs, which are rumored to have hastened the end of her relationship with Clooney, were hidden under a loose top, and she smiled and posed happily for the paparazzi sharks waiting to feed on her disintegrating fame. Maybe we’ll hear about it when she inevitably hooks up with another rich guy, someone a little kinkier and less prominent than Clooney, but every day that passes the less interest there is in this woman, and she’s got to work to keep herself in the tabloids.

She must realize this and is implementing her strategy here. She’s a candidate for more reality television, and stay tuned because I’m guessing that’s her next venture.
