Yet another one of Tiger Woods’ dozen plus mistresses is coming out of the woodwork. Porn star Joslyn James held a press conference with her lawyer – you guessed it, Gloria Allred – to protest a new set golf balls featuring handpainted images of Tiger’s mistresses’ faces, including hers. (It sounds like the golf ball creators got the idea from Jimmy Kimmel’s ad spoof of the Tiger Woods Commemorative Plate Collection with Billy Dee Williams.) James showed text messages from Tiger and claimed to have had a relationship with him that lasted a year. In response to the golf balls, James and Allred used some sort of convoluted argument against domestic violence. I get that it’s offensive to have your image on a golf ball. Just issue a statement and sue the company for using your image without permission. The only reason to hold a press conference is to try and get publicity and/or more money, both of which Allred is skilled at:

Former porn star Joslyn James has come forward to reveal details of her year long relationship with Tiger Woods. And if anyone has doubts about the validity of her claims James says she has proof of their liaison, in the form of text messages from the disgraced golf ace.

James held a press conference Wednesday with her attorney, Gloria Allred, who shared that James and Woods’ relationship was long term and lasted “at least a year”. Allred went on to reveal that James has text messages that she claims Tiger sent her, including one that states, “Baby I’m not going anywhere or doing anything. You please me like no other has or ever will. I am not losing that.”

James, who has remained mum on her alleged affair up until now, claims that she has decided to come clean following the release of some novelty golf balls which feature the faces of Tiger’s many alleged mistresses, she claims she is concerned they promote violence towards women. Speaking on behalf of her client Allred stated, “Putting a woman’s face on a golf ball which a golfer may swing at with full force may increase the risk of harm to women. Playing a round of golf with these balls may leave marks resembling bruises on the face of the ball which may lead to inappropriate jokes about hitting women.”

For her part, James said, “I have come forward today, because I feel that it is wrong for a golf ball to have my picture on it because golfers hit their golf balls with a lot of force. As a victim of violence myself, it bothered me to think that someone would be standing with a dangerous club hitting a ball with my photo on it. I was in love with Tiger and because of what he said to me and the fact that we were together for so long I believed that he loved me too. I don’t think that Tiger would want my picture on a golf ball and I know that I don’t.”

Radar Online also has a video of part of the press conference. It’s comical when Allred reads out the text messages all deadpan and serious and then goes on to say that they’re speaking out against domestic violence. The best part is when Allred uses an oversize cutout of a golf club to smack a giant picture of a ball with James’ face on it to illustrate her point! She pulls the club away to show that the face on the ball has dark marks on it afterwards. In no way do I think there’s anything funny about violence against women, but there’s something totally hilarious about Gloria Allred and her pornstar client invoking that argument to get some press. You know that Allred loved it when those golf balls came out because she knew she could use it to milk some more publicity out of this two month old scandal.

In other Tiger Woods’ news, Radar Online reports that his wife Elin will pick him up at sex rehab at the end of the week. He’s supposedly been there for six weeks. Elin has also allegedly dropped the divorce attorney she initially hired. No amount of pleading or tears could convince me to go back to a cheater like Tiger, but to each their own I guess.

According to Radar Online, Elin Woods has visited her cheating husband Tiger in the Mississippi sex rehab where he’s receiving treatment. Radar has close ties to the Enquirer, which broke this story and has been on top of it. I would guess that this report is accurate. They also claim that Elin has chosen to try and work out her differences with Tiger, and that she plans to stay for the time being. Other outlets reported that part of the therapy during Tiger’s program at a Hattiesburg, Mississippi addiction facility involves a “disclosure day” during which the offender must explain in detail all the times they cheated. The wronged party is also encourage to visit the patient for what’s called “family week.”

Is this spin from Tiger’s camp and is it true? People has a report that Elin has been seen around town in Hattiesburg, which adds some credence to the news that she’s giving reconciliation a try, or at least that she’s visiting Tiger. She should send a process server to do that for her.

There’s some speculation that Tiger isn’t at that Mississippi rehab at all. There’s a guy at the same rehab who looks like Tiger from far away and is wearing the same clothes, and some paparazzi agencies are wondering whether it’s all a case of mistaken identity. Some of those photos are below. The guy is even wearing the hat from Tiger’s alma mater. I would bet that Tiger hired a guy to dress just like him in order to throw off the tabloids.

If my husband cheated I wouldn’t be sticking around for the kids or the lifestyle – especially if it wasn’t a one-shot deal and especially if it was all made public! Add the fact that there are multiple women involved, some paid professionals, and it just makes you worry that he’s bringing home all sorts of creepy crawlies. That’s a massive betrayal and no amount of therapy could convince me that it was an addiction he couldn’t control. Even if it was, who would put up with that? I understand that some couples chose to work through infidelity and that it can make their relationship stronger. Does anyone really expect Tiger to change, though? It took him long enough to get to rehab and he sounded defiant and wounded in his two responses to this massive scandal. He’s a “poor me” victim and he should take up with one of the gold diggers who willingly slept with him for cash while his wife did all the dirty work at home. Then he can see that the grass is brown and trampled on the other side.

The National Enquirer has obtained the first photos of Tiger Woods since the incredibly tawdry sex scandal broke in late November. Tiger is attending a $10,000 a week sex rehab facility in Mississippi, according to various reports, and he was photographed there wearing shorts, a hoodie, and carrying a cup of coffee. It’s hard to tell for sure if it’s Tiger as the pictures are far away, but it looks just like him and several local Mississippi news stations have confirmed the story.

Hollywood Life has details of Tiger’s stay and it sounds like a typical rehab facility, except the security sounds pretty tight and might be harder to keep the addicts away from their triggers. They also have photos inside the place, which looks like a mid-level hotel room with a kitchenette, similar to an extended stay hotel. Every hour of Tiger’s day is filled with activities, and he’s closely monitored. He’s not even supposed to masturbate, although there’s really no way to enforce that rule.

Tiger Woods has been found after 54 days! He has just been spotted at the Gentle Path sex addiction treatment program at Pine Grove Behavioral Health & Addiction Services Center in Hattiesburg, Miss., according to the National Enquirer!

The report claims that Elin Nordegren threatened to take their children Sam Alexis, 2, and Charlie Axel, 11 months, to Sweden unless he “vowed to stop cheating and enter sex rehab.” Tiger “tearfully agreed” to go to Pine Grove to save his marriage. He’s going to have to go through a tough “Disclosure Day,” when he’ll have to face up to Elin and admit every single one of his affairs — looks like they could be there a while.

We have an inside source who has been inside the facility many times and is very knowledgeable and familiar with the sex addiction treatment program. Our source told us exactly what Tiger’s day has been like for the course of his treatment.

The Gentle Path center, surrounded by a fence which is locked at night and described by an inside source as a “concrete prison,” is a no-frills far cry from Tiger’s usual luxury surroundings. Gentle Path is specifically for sex addiction patients ad is about 4 miles from the main campus. Tiger’s daily routine will consist of group therapy sessions, doctor evaluations, and psychological analysis.

According to a recovering sex addict, who is familiar with the day-to-day life of a Pine Grove patient, admits it’s “intense” for the addicts who are there. “Every hour of your day is filled.”

Our source says that Tiger is most likely be in contact with Dr. Patrick Carnes, the Executive Director of the Gentle Path program, on a daily basis. Patients will have work book sessions and read books written by Dr. Carnes like: Don’t Call It Love, The Clinical Management of Sex Addiction, Open Hearts, and Facing The Shadows.

The typical length of a sex addict’s stay in rehab is approximately six weeks. There are between 18-24 individuals enrolled in Gentle Path at any given time. Our source tells us, “The Pine Grove patients attend Sex Addicts Anonymous meetings twice a week. They also have free supervised time get to go to Wal-Mart twice a week.”

Upon entering the facility one must sign a celibacy contracting banning them from sexual encounters with other individuals including masturbation. Our source tells us that patients have developed relationships with other members while in treatment, “There have been a few instances where people have engaged in sexual conduct with other members. But then they get kicked out of the program. The program is based on the honor code — no one is watching you to make sure you don’t masturbate.”

While staying at Gentle Path, Tiger is just fine in his golf garb. “The dress code is modest. He can’t be showing body parts that might evoke desire,” such as tight jeans or a muscle shirt,” said our source. Men and women are not separated, however, the program at Pine Grove is predominately male.

Our source says, “Patients live in a refurbished motel once called the Alamo. There is a big fence around it … it sort of resembles a prison.” The huge fence is locked at night so if someone wanted to leave, our source says, “they would have to climb the fence.”

Technology, as well as any triggers that might make someone relapse, are forbidden at Pine Grove.

As far as meals go, Tiger can forget about the private chef he had at home. “They have a set menu at Pine Grove where they serve ‘typical hospital food.’ Eggs and bacon for breakfast, and at dinner, patients can choose a meat and five vegetables.” And no more late ragers for Tiger either! “It’s lights out at 10:30 pm and up again by 6:30 am the next day.”

I think that Tiger has been partying on his yacht with his buddies for weeks. Supplies were seen being taken there and I doubt he’s been in rehab this entire time. This rehab bid is a last ditch effort for him to salvage what’s left of his image. He’ll be able to return to playing golf because he’s still the best in his field. He won’t retain many sponsors, though, and life will never quite be the same for Tiger. That’s only fitting given how many people he’s hurt with his actions.

Tiger Woods may be living large on his yacht and/or at another filthy rich friend’s mansion in Long Island. Maybe he’s in sex rehab as has been rumored, but I thoroughly doubt it. With all the speculation on Tiger’s luxurious whereabouts, there’s some comforting news that he spent a little time in the dog house. US Weekly reports that the philandering golfer passed a night or two sleeping on an air mattress in a friend’s empty mansion. All he had were some snacks, crappy beer, and a TV to keep him busy. I’m sure he passed the time texting various women asking them to come over for chips and Bud light.

From riches to rags — at least for a couple nights, anyway.

An insider tells the new issue of Us Weekly (on newsstands now) that Tiger Woods, 34, slummed it on the floor of a deserted house in the days after his Nov. 27 blowout with wife Elin, 30.

“When she kicked him out, he couldn’t exactly go to a hotel, so he ran over to [pro golfer] Mark O’Meara’s empty villa and stayed there,” says a resident of Woods’ luxe Isleworth, Florida, gated community.

Adds the source, who viewed the home after Woods left: “The house was gutted except for an air mattress, some pillows, a TV, snacks and Bud Light in the fridge, and a golf glove on the floor.”

I wonder what he got up to with that golf glove. While Tiger was roughing it, Elin was moving her stuff to a new mansion without all the bad memories. TMZ has photos of the new $2 million rented home that Elin has been staying in with the kids near their main estate. The interior design really isn’t to my liking, but it surely isn’t a hardship. Elin might get a little less pocket money. GM is the latest sponsor to drop all association with her scandal-ridden husband. They won’t even let Tiger drive their cars for free.

Ladies, if your man is cheating on you take a lesson from lovely Elin’s mistake and do not lose your cool or even confront him. Elin’s understandable freakout (we don’t know if she really bashed Tiger in the face and I’m talking about how she trashed the house, violence is never a solution, etc.) may have cost her millions in settlement money. The best way to pay your husband back is to act like everything is fine while you quietly prepare for divorce by gathering all the evidence, bank account information and details you can find. A friend of mine confronted her husband with details of his infidelity and he just denied everything and tried to make her look like she was crazy, like he’d been doing during the entire affair. Think of how you’ll hold the upper hand if you keep quiet and surprise him with divorce papers. If you’ve got a great poker hand you don’t show your opponent your cards.

It was in last week’s National Enquirer that we learned that Morgan Freeman is probably still dating/sleeping with/in a relationship with his step-granddaughter E’Dena Hines. The rumors of Morgan and E’Dena’s alleged decade-long affair began last summer, as Morgan and his second wife were going through a divorce. After the Enquirer ran two salacious stories about the relationship, the story began to die. Until last week, that is – when the Enquirer’s sources claimed that Morgan and E’Dena were contemplating starting a family.

Throughout the controversy, Morgan hasn’t released any public statements about the rumors. There have been no official or unofficial denials, no strategic leaks, nothing like that. But last night Morgan showed up to the National Board of Review’s awards ceremony with this woman – whom Michael K at Dlisted says (quoting Morgan’s spokesperson) is Morgan’s “manager-slash-companion”. Interesting…

Now, one of the Enquirer stories from last summer had Morgan and E’Dena in an “open relationship” – meaning that though they discussed getting married, they were both dating other people. So, I suppose it’s conceivable that Morgan is still with E’Dena, and he’s also dating this woman. Of course, it’s also possible that Morgan decided to push back on the rumors and show up to an event with a woman who he is not related to in any shape or form. Is this Morgan’s denial of the Enquirer’s reporting? I really don’t know.

This may only interest me, but I find the royal family of Monaco fascinating, so we’re going to enter into the marriage of Princess Caroline and her third husband Prince Ernst August of Hanover. They’ve been married for 11 years, and from what I’ve read throughout the years, they’ve always been somewhat mismatched. Oh, did you know that Princess Caroline is a homewrecker? Prince Ernst was married to a nice Swedish Swiss woman when he and Caroline began their affair, and then he left his wife for Caroline, and he and Caroline went on to have a daughter. Since then, there have been tons of stories about the prince’s drinking, carousing and general unpleasantness.

There are always split rumors about Caroline and Ernst, but last fall the rumors seemed to be getting more serious. Still, no split came, and I haven’t heard anything about them for a while. Now it seems that they spent their holidays apart – Caroline went skiing with her kids, while Ernst spent time in Thailand with a lady friend. How do we know this? Because there are photos of Ernst with this lady friend! Scandal!

The already-tumultuous marriage of Monaco’s Princess Caroline and husband Prince Ernst August of Hanover appears to have hit a new bump with the publication Thursday of photos showing the 55-year-old Ernst August over the Christmas holiday walking the sand, sunbathing on a beach in Thailand and kissing in the surf – all with someone other than his wife, who was skiing with the couple’s children in Switzerland.

In a four-page photo spread headlined “Amorous Escapade in Thailand,” Thursday’s editions of France’s Paris-Match show Ernst August and an unidentified woman locked in an embrace. “The Prince and his friend,” the publication says, “only had eyes for each other.” Meanwhile, Germany’s Bunte also published the photos, declaring, “Monaco’s First Lady Is Being Publically Duped.”

The photos raise a new round of rumors concerning a possible divorce action by the thrice-married Her Royal Highness Caroline Princess of Hanover, Duchess of Brunswick and Lüneburg, 52, the eldest child of the late Prince Rainier and Grace Kelly.

They also show the latest in a chain of indiscretions that has made the couple’s 11-year marriage a royal soap opera starring Ernst August in incidents of public drunkenness, hospitalizations, scuffles, alleged infidelity and one all-too-well-documented episode of public urination at Expo 2000.

The couple – who were seen together on only three occasions in 2009 – have been living apart for some time. In September, photos allegedly revealed the Prince’s close friendship with a Parisian socialite. Days later, while Ernst was in Libya celebrating the 40th anniversary of Colonel Khaddafi’s reign, Caroline moved out of the family’s Fountainebleu home, taking their 10-year-old daughter Alexandra with her and resettling in Monaco.

A press spokesperson in Monaco told PEOPLE on Thursday that the Palace had “no comment” regarding the photographs.

Publication of his holiday snapshots couldn’t possibly have taken place at a less opportune moment for Ernst August. Next Wednesday, after months of negotiations, a court in Hanover is to hear testimony from a newly discovered eyewitness in Ernst’s appeal to have a 2000 battery assault conviction against him overturned.

It’s juicy, I think. I’m actually hoping Princess Caroline has had enough. My opinion – just from reading the odd Vanity Fair hit piece – is that Prince Ernst has always been a buffoon. A drunk baffoon. Of course, I think Caroline probably has some secrets she wants to keep hidden, and God knows she isn’t perfect. But she carries out her royal duties flawlessly, and she needs to rid herself of the dead weight, so to speak.

Update: Thanks to Peanut who wrote that she received an e-mail forward with this same story. It turns out that it’s been making the rounds for a while. I checked Snopes and they conclude that it’s a likely “mixture of truth, falsity, exaggeration and speculation.” It’s pretty much like your average Star Magazine article then.

I might be inclined to dismiss this story, but it appears on the blog of a 91 year-old retired sports journalist named Furman Bisher. Bisher is the former sports editor of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution and has earned numerous awards in his long career, including being named by Time as one of the nation’s best columnists in 1961. That doesn’t mean this story is accurate, just that the source isn’t dubious. It’s probably spin from Tiger’s camp meant to make him look like the wounded victim.

Anyway according to a friend-of-a-friend type scenario, Tiger’s wife Elin is probably not leaving him, Tiger is no longer seeing Rachel Uchitel on the side, and Tiger’s face was so damaged by his wife that he had to get intensive plastic surgery on the down low in Phoenix. It’s all a little too sympathetic to Tiger.

Yesterday we heard that Tiger was spotted at a party in Palm Beach over the weekend holding hands with the head mistress, Rachel Uchitel, who just happened to fly down to Florida after the scandal broke. That was quickly followed by a ridiculous story in People that claimed that Rachel was alone at a club that night and that onlookers were wowed by how pretty she was and what a great body she had. Oh and a guy was there that was really into her, but she couldn’t be bothered with him. Obviously that story was planted by Rachel.

Now we’re hearing that poor Tiger was hurt and had to get a lot of surgery and counseling. I’m not buying it, but since we only have rumors as to his whereabouts it’s hard to tell. Here’s the relevant parts of the story:

How Elin confronted Tiger
When Tiger returned home around 11:30 -12 that night, Elin confronted him about the text message in the phone, and the started a heated discussion to its regards. According to what I was told, there was more “incriminating evidence” than just the text message (i.e. photos). Tiger tried to play it off to Elin by telling her she was reading too much in to it, and did not know the story, etc. Tiger went upstairs to change into his gym shorts and t – shirt, came back down, and Elin confronted him again; to which Tiger gave the same story.

Elin clocked Tiger with the golf club
Tiger sat down in a chair in the living room, and Elin sat across from him urging Tiger to just come clean. Tiger stayed to his guns and denied everything. At one point Tiger turned away to look at the TV, and as he turned back, Elin hit him on the right side of the face with the head of a 9 – iron. When she struck Tiger, she put a huge gash in the right side of his face next to his nose (causing his nose to bruise some), and virtually knocking two of his upper teeth out, and breaking the bone on the upper right side.

The accident happened
Tiger ran scared as hell out of the house (which is why he had on no shoes) with Elin swinging the golf club throughout the hallway to the garage (i.e. causing the severe damage which has been reported). Tiger hoped in the Escalade and tried to leave; and as we know Elin knocked out the windows in the Escalade. When Tiger crashed, Elin panicked and was not sure what to tell the police (which is why there are two conflicting stories from her). When this happened, Elin immediately called Mark Steinberg [Tiger's agent] to tell him what happened, and Mark told Elin to tell him what hospital they were going to, and he would meet them there.

Tiger was sent to Phoenix for plastic surgery
Tiger is transported to the hospital with Elin in the ambulance, and as they arrive Mark is there waiting for them. The people from the hospital and the doctors take Tiger in for X-Rays etc to check out the damage caused. The doctors tell Mark there is not much they can do to repair the teeth and the gash, but the doctor knows a cosmetic dentist and plastic surgeon in Phoenix who will make Tiger look as if nothing happened. Tiger tells Mark to get the jet ready and let’s head to Phoenix to get this done. Friday after Tiger is released from the hospital, he does not return home; he and Mark board the plane for Phoenix. If you remember FHP kept showing up at Isleworth to talk to Tiger, and was told by another FL attorney (who Tiger hired for PR reasons) Tiger was not ready to talk. Well now we know why, he was in Phoenix, and did not arrive back in Orlando until either late last Wednesday night or early Thursday morning. The surgeries were more intense than what they had originally planned, which meant Tiger was in PHX longer than he should have been.

Tiger and Elin are working things out
Upon arriving back in Orlando, Tiger and Elin have been in intense marriage counseling sessions (up to 6 to 7 hours a day) every day! Both Tiger and Elin have told the counselors they love each other, and want to make the marriage work. The reports you are reading on TMZ and RadarOnline are about 30% accurate at best according to Mark.

Tiger is not with Rachel
In regards to Tiger’s boat being in Palm Beach this week, along with Rachel; that part is true. However, Tiger is not on the boat, and is not in Palm Beach; and Rachel is not on the boat. Her parents live 6 blocks from where the boat is, but that is it. Tiger has not returned to his house at Isleworth since the day of the accident except for the therapy sessions.

Tiger is supposedly getting advice from Arnold Palmer
IMG has enlisted the assistance of one of its most recognized sports figures, and Tiger has taken up residence in his neighborhood, Bay Hill. IMG contacted Arnold Palmer because of the high regard in which Tiger holds Arnold. Arnold has agreed, and IMG has said if anyone can get through to Tiger, Arnold may be the only person who can, based on his public persona when he was at the height of his game as well.

Elin is not moving out
The moving trucks being shown on TMZ and RadarOnline are moving out pictures and furniture which was damaged during their Thanksgiving Day argument; not of her moving out. Yes, Elin has retained a divorce attorney, but has not filed any papers, and as of yesterday had no intention on doing so. Tiger has not made any public appearances or statements due to the surgery and plastic surgery he had in PHX. It will be about another month if not more before he gets in front of a camera. Yes, Tiger is hitting golf balls late at night at Bay Hill out of their teaching center (which is equipped with lights).

So now we have a thorough account of what allegedly went down at Tiger’s house and how he’s coping. Again, it all sounds straight from Tiger’s camp and has a definite “poor Tiger” angle with no mention of the 12-plus mistresses. I can buy the part that Elin smacked Tiger with a 9 iron and wrecked up the house. That’s consistent with earlier reports along with the accident details. If that’s what happened it’s pretty despicable. There’s no excuse for that kind of violence no matter how much he was cheating. As for whether Tiger had to have plastic surgery immediately, that’s possible and it would explain why he hasn’t been photographed. I don’t believe that Tiger isn’t seeing Rachel, though, and that she’s just in the same area coincidentally. This story is spin.

The NY Post claims this story is a “hoax letter” and that Tiger is seeing Rachel. They claim she also puts out of a lot of news in order to raise her profile. After that People story, I’d have to agree. According to the Post, Tiger is not in rehab yet but his people are urging him to go.

There’s a related story on paparazzi agency X17′s site that claims that Tiger has been in Phoenix at a rehab facility for a few days. Whatever he’s up to, Tiger is definitely laying low and hoping this scandal will blow over. That’s not likely considering that it’s probably the biggest one we’ve heard this year.

It looks like Kaiser was right – mistress Rachel Uchitel is gunning to be the next Mrs. “look the other way at the sparkly jewelry” Woods. Entertainment Tonight reports that Tiger emerged from his party boat to attend a holiday party on Uchitel’s arm. The two were spotted holding hands at a big shindig on Sunday.

Was Tiger Woods partying in Palm Beach?

That’s what sources tell ET, and Woods wasn’t alone. Rumors that Tiger and reported mistress No. 1 Rachel Uchitel were spotted holding hands and mingling with about three hundred other partygoers Sunday night inside a private mansion in Palm Beach, Florida.

Some even say the couple is living together in Palm Beach, where Woods’ yacht is reportedly docked and where Uchitel has even been photographed.

Reports also surfaced that the couple partied together Saturday night at the Everglades Club in Palm Beach.

She doesn’t care that Tiger’s mistress list has reached over a dozen, she’s the head bitch and she’s going to run things from now on. Tiger needed some fake boobs to lean on after the scandal and Uchitel flew right down to provide some synthetic cushioning. She’s also selling her condo in Vegas with the help of OK! Magazine so that she can be by Tiger’s side full time.

Tiger ultimately did leave his wife for Rachel as he promised in that rambling e-mail. He had to get busted first, but she doesn’t care. She’s getting paid handsomely for her services. It beats wrangling up celebrities for clubs. Meanwhile Rachel is modeling her bikini on the beach and issuing dumb denials to celebrity outlets. She has cover all her bases in case the Tiger gig runs out sooner rather than later.

In related Tiger news, his high profile infidelity is estimated to have cost his sponsors over $12 billion in lost revenue from tanking stock prices. The good news is that the companies who said that they would stand by tiger, EA Games, Gatorade and Nike, lost the most revenue as a result. Maybe Tag Heuer will rethink their pledge to “stand with Tiger” and suffer a loss.

Update: People magazine reports that Rachel was partying by herself at a club on Saturday night. I’m thinking that this story comes straight from Rachel/Tiger’s camp, particularly since it includes the incredibly dubious quote “Rachel was much prettier than I had expected after seeing photos of her. She had a great body, too.” Please, you just pushed it too far with the “great body” crap. How transparent can this woman be?

Luxury watchmaker Tag Heuer has confirmed that it will not drop scandalous golf star Tiger Woods from its ad campaigns entirely. The Swiss company put up an image on their website stating that they “stand with Tiger Woods.” They mentioned in a brief press statement that they’ll cut back Tiger’s ads but won’t dump him entirely.

TAG Heuer confirms today that it will continue its relationship with Golf n°1 Tiger Woods but will respect his desire of privacy by modifying his role in the coming months’ marketing programs.

Tiger Woods became a TAG Heuer brand ambassador in 2002. The relationship between the leader in prestigious sports watches and chronographs since 1860 and Golf virtuoso Tiger Woods has always been extremely professional and productive.

“The partnership with Tiger Woods will continue,” said Jean-Christophe Babin, President and CEO of TAG Heuer, “but we will downscale the use of his image in certain markets for a period of time, depending on his decision about returning to professional golf. We will continue to actively support the Tiger Woods Foundation.”

As TMZ points out, The CEO of Tag Heuer previously said that they probably wouldn’t work with Tiger. “We recognize Tiger Woods as a great sportsman but we have to take account of the sensitivity of some consumers in relation to recent events.” Compare this thoughtful statement to Nike’s chairman, who called the scandal a “minor blip” that “the media is making a big deal out of.”

I checked out prices for Tag Heuer watches, and the average price seems to be around $1,200, with prices as low as $600 and as high as $3,800. These are watches for people who can afford them, primarily rich older guys who won’t be quick to condemn Tiger for getting some on the side. Maybe some lawyers got involved and reminded Tag Heuer that there’s no morality clause in their contract.

Tiger Woods is really ubiquitous and I didn’t notice how much stuff he endorses until after the scandal hit. I was buying my son a Wii game for Christmas when I saw the unintentionally hilarious cover for the Tiger Woods PGA tour featuring Tiger making an “O” face. That game will probably remain on the shelves for a while and maker Electronic Arts has said “its business strategy with the golfer remain[s] unchanged.” Tiger has been dropped from campaigns with Gillette, and Accenture. Gatorade discontinued their Tiger Woods drink. AT&T is “evaluating its relationship” with him.

This huge scandal isn’t just affecting the mega-rich guy who made more in endorsements than any other sportsman in history. It could also help sink public and corporate interest in the sport of golf. There’s a great editorial in yesterday’s LA Times in which writer Dan Niel concludes that “the branding opportunities of professional golf have been utterly vacated by Tiger Woods’ philandering.” Young, attractive “good guy” Tiger heralded a new popularity for the sport and his massive embarrassing affairs could help sink it. Who will be the face of golf now?

Tiger Woods is now on his yacht with his good buddies. While People Magazine reported yesterday that Tiger’s ironically-named vessel, Privacy, had set sail to the Bahamas on Saturday, Radar Online has photos that show that it was still moored as of yesterday morning. Maybe they just went for a jaunt in the ocean with their hookers and Ambien. You just know there were several paid professionals on board.

Fox news has a breakdown of the guys that could be enjoying the carefree seas with Tiger. They include his employee and BFF, Bryon Bell, who just got married and probably isn’t on board, and his agent. As reported yesterday, Tiger surrounded himself with yes-men. Some of them are likely to be riding out the scandal with him. Other are likely to bail if the money ever gets tight.

Tiger’s wife, Elin, was escorted via a motorcade of police officers on motorcycles yesterday. It’s thought that she was headed to the airport to take her children back to Sweden for the holiday. This news was reported by paparazzi agency X17 and hasn’t been confirmed yet by other sources.

We don’t know yet if Elin plans to divorce tiger and if she’ll challenge her prenup. There are stories out of the UK that she’s going for half of his fortune and full custody of the children, but those are just as likely to be made up. The Chicago Sun Times reports that Elin’s “strong-willed mother, former Swedish government minister Barbro Holmberg, is telling her to stick it out.” She did hire a celebrity divorce attorney, though, and I’m keeping my fingers crossed that she’s going for the jugular. The woman put up with a lot of humiliation and infidelity while her husband traded on his family guy image to rake in huge ad contracts. If it wasn’t for her he wouldn’t have earned so much money and she’s entitled to her fair share.
