Kevin Federline and Shar Jackson hook up at his birthday party

The FedEx received anywhere from $100,000 to $300,000 to attend his own comped 30th birthday party at Pure Nightclub at Ceasars Palace on Friday night. For an amount that most people would gleefully accept for a year’s worth of forty hour weeks slaving away in a cubicle, Federline downed shots and hung out with his friends, including his ex and the mother of two of his children, Shar Jackson. Shar and K-Fed looked cozier than you would expect for supposedly estranged co-parents, and many whispered that there was something going on there:

The Federline clan was joined by Jackson and a gaggle of her girlfriends for a birthday dinner at the swank Social House before heading to Pure, where they downed Jack Daniel’s and Patron shots in the white leather VIP booth. The Pussycat Dolls sang K-Fed a saucy rendition of “Happy Birthday” as Jackson snuggled close to her ex. “They looked like a couple again,” our spy said. By 2 a.m. the whole party decamped to late-night lounge Noir Bar inside Luxor.

Spawn Sean Preston and Jayden James were away with a sitter allowing their dear dad to party all night long.

[From The NY Daily News]

Shar has almost always been gracious and kind to her ex in the press, most recently explaining his weight gain as “daddy weight.” If my partner left me when I was heavily pregnant it’s not likely that I would have a kind word to say about him for years. Jackson is more forward-thinking than I am, though, and has easily prevailed in the battle of the baby mommas. She has the dubious prize of staying in K-Fed’s good graces and probably hooking up with him when it’s convenient, something that Britney is said to yearn for despite the fact that the rest of the world finds K-Fed and his duck’s ass haircut laughable.

Shar may have another reason for keeping the FedEx fat and satisfied. She is said to be launching a hip hop album after she won on VH1’s “Celebrity Rap Superstar.” Maybe K-Fed still has connections in the music industry despite his lack of talent and the dismal performance of his album. The guy is getting paid six figures to party for a night, which seems to indicate that he has more skills than you might give him credit for.

But clearly those skills aren’t in rapping or hosting parties, just getting paid for it. Here’s a video from the night in question. The crowd boos K-Fed when he tries to talk or yell or whatever it is he’s doing.

Shar Jackson takes care of Britney’s kids

csh-032295.jpg

Shar Jackson and Kevin Federline have a weird relationship. And I mean weird mostly in a “good/unusual” sense. Kevin left Shar when she was pregnant to shack up with Britney Spears. Yet the two still remained in contact, and never really bashed each other publicly. While no one’s in love with K-Fed, and a lot of people doubt his motivations, he’s certainly the better parent when it comes to him and Britney. Maybe the fact that he and Shar managed to successfully co-parent their kids through all of that drama was indicative of his SLIGHTLY better-than-thought character. It certainly speaks highly of Shar that she was able to handle the situation. A lot of people point out that because K-Fed essentially made no money of his own, it was Britney who was paying his child support, so Shar had good reason to be nice about. I think that’s bull. Jackson did milk it a little bit for publicity, but nowhere near where she could have. Considering that the press will essentially cover ANY Britney story, Shar could have gotten a lot more press and made a lot more money than she did.

Since Spears and Federline have split up (and since Britney’s gone crazy) their sons Sean Preston and Jayden James have been spending the bulk of their time with K-Fed. Because he and Jackson are still close friends and spend a lot of time together, Jackson ends up looking out for Brit’s kids more than Britney likely does.

Embroiled in an ongoing custody battle with ex-wife Britney Spears, Kevin Federline nevertheless is trying to see that all four of his offspring get along, thanks to a helping hand from former girlfriend Shar Jackson. Jackson, 31, has two children – Kori, 5, and Kaleb, 3 – with Federline, 29, and says that she watches Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 1, who are Federline’s kids with Spears, 25.

“We definitely make sure the kids all bond together,” Jackson told reporters Tuesday night. “I mean, they’re siblings, they need each other.” Jackson also stresses that she and Federline strive to keep their family closely knit, despite whatever differences she and he might have. “We’re not together or anything but we’re definitely still a family unit,” says Jackson. “Honestly,” says Jackson, “we’re like the best of friends. Obviously, the relationship didn’t work out for a reason, and we’re cool with that. But we’re still a part of each other’s lives. And our children get to see two people who aren’t together but still have a great relationship, and I think that’s really important.”

[From People]

Shar also says that K-Fed is a good parent, and always has been. Not just to his high-profile kids with Britney, but to her two kids as well. Though I don’t remember ever seeing them or really hearing about them when he was married to Britney. But if nothing else, Federline doesn’t seem to try to pimp out his kids to the press. Jackson also says they get along well because they don’t talk about Britney or Federline’s custody battle. She said, “That would be a non-stop conversation, and we don’t even go there.” I think K-Fed should get the kids, then he and Shar should get married and live in d-list paradise. It’d be like Britney’s just desserts. She stole a guy from another woman, ended up having two of his kids, divorced him, went crazy, the guy went back to the girl with tons of the crazy woman’s money, and they lived happily ever after. Or star in a bunch of cheesy reality shows, whichever works best.

Shar Jackson wins MTV’s “Celebrity Rap-Off”

prn-007228.jpg

This article doesn’t technically break the Britney Spears ban, because a). It’s not really about her and b). I will be referring to her as Whitney Bears instead (kind of makes you think of Whitney Houston wearing a giant bearskin coat, doesn’t it? Maybe using the head as a hood?). Shar Jackson, the woman who gave birth to Kevin Federline’s first two children, won MTV’s “Celebrity Rap-Off” yesterday. Shar was considered by most to be the best rapper on there, but was up against “The Girls Next Door” Playboy playmate Kendra Wilkinson – and let’s be honest, showing your boobies will probably give you an unfair advantage.

Finding rap success in a way that ex Kevin Federline might envy, Shar Jackson was crowned last celebrity standing on MTV’s Celebrity Rap Superstar – beating out Playboy Bunny Kendra Wilkinson.

“I couldn’t believe it. I just knew Kendra had it since she was definitely a favorite.” Jackson told PEOPLE exclusively, “It’s hard to beat a Bunny!”

Jokes aside, Jackson reveled in the surprise victory: “I looked up at my kids and the look on their faces made me tear up. They were so proud of me.”

The reality show, which recently gave Jackson an outlet to bash Britney Spears, opened up new possibilities for the Moesha actress. “If I can have a career having fun, that’s just awesome,” she said about making a name for herself in music. “I really, really enjoy it. Why not?”

Celebrating at the wrap party with her family and even Federline’s parents, Jackson took a moment to remember what inspired her to join the show.

“I dedicate this whole thing to Lamont Bentley, who played my brother Hakeem on Moesha,” Jackson said, “He passed away in a car accident two years ago and what he really, really wanted to do was rap. So I did all of this in his honor.”

So what was Federline’s advice? “He just wished me luck and told me to kill ‘em.” Her kids sent her off with a more gentle approach. “They gave me a bunch of big kisses,” she said.

[From People]

A few weeks ago, Shar gave a really great performance of a rap she wrote called “Let it Blow” about Whitney Bears stealing her husband. A lot of people thought that’s the song that really won the contest for her. Her best moment was when she looked into the camera and said “They should have had me open up at the VMAs!” Frankly she’s pretty good, it probably would have been a better idea. Shar’s been pretty classy about the whole Whitney Bear going crazy/messing up her life/being a terrible mother/terrible person thing. It was interesting to see her real feelings come out – and in a productive way.

Picture note by Jaybird: Here’s Shar performing “Let it Blow.”

K-Fed secretly letting ex Shar Jackson care for Britney’s kids

The National Enquirer and Star Magazine claim to have the real reason behind K-Fed’s refusal to let Britney into his house shortly before she went to rehab. They say his ex and the mother of his two other children, Shar Jackson, was at his house helping him care for Britney’s two infant boys. They say that Shar wants K-Fed back, and if Britney found out she’s watching her children she’ll freak out as she’s still jealous of her.

What’s more, they claim K-Fed is telling Britney he’ll reconcile with her once she successfully completes rehab, and that’s what convinced her to give it a third try.

The Enquirer story also says that if Britney doesn’t finish rehab and sober up properly her family plans to commit her to a mental hospital.

The Enquirer has learned that while Britney is in Promises, her hubby Kevin Federline’s ex-lover, actress Shar Jackson, has been helping take care of their boys!

Britney is unaware of that fact, and people close to her don’t want her to find out because they are already concerned about her staying in rehab.

“Britney doesn’t think she has a problem. She agrees to go into rehab only because Kevin promised they’d be back together with their babies if she finished the program,” revealed a source close to the couple.

“Kevin has convinced Britney that he still loves her. He’s talked about all the things they’ll do when she gets out.

“But if Britney doesn’t stay in Promises, her family will put her in a mental health facility…”

“Shar has been at Kevin’s house helping him with the boys… Britney is terrified Kevin will get back with Shar. If Britney finds out what’s going on, she’ll go ballistic. There’s no doubt she’ll bolt from Promises and go running to get the kids.”

[National Enquirer print edition, March 12, 2007]

The article claims that Britney threatened to leave rehab if K-Fed and the kids didn’t visit her, and that’s why they were seen there last weekend. K-Fed has supposedly promised Britney that they’ll renew their wedding vows if she is successful at rehab.

I’m not sure I buy all that about Britney’s family wanting to commit her to a mental hospital, but it could be true that Shar is helping with the children. Maybe a paparazzo saw her leave K-Fed’s house when the kids were there. Star magazine says that Shar is trying to win Kevin’s affection and that she even cooked him his favorite meal, pasta and a dessert of carrot cake, for Valentine’s day.

There have been several stories lately about Britney and K-Fed getting back together. While I would like to think that they’re made up, there seems to be some truth to them. I wouldn’t put it past K-Fed to be sleeping with his ex Shar and getting her to watch the kids while promising Britney that he’ll reunite with her if she completes rehab.

Meanwhile Brooke Shields has offered Britney her help after hearing that she is reading her book about postpartum depression, “Down Came the Rain.” She said “If [Britney] is reading my book, I hope it’s helping her. If it’s not, and she wants to talk to someone, I’m available.”
