Oscar winner Charlize Theron and her boyfriend of five years, Irish actor Stuart Townsend, are said to have had a spat while out a Hollywood restaurant last week. The Mirror reports that Charlize showed up 45 minutes late for dinner and that Stuart lectured her for it in front of their embarassed friends:

This might have happened, but The Mirror lost all credibility for me when they claimed Nicole Kidman was out at a party when she was really outside the Creative Artists offices.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they only information they had is that Charlize was late to dinner while her boyfriend and their friends waited.

What I want to know is when are these two getting married? They had some trouble back in March, with reports that they had broken up, but now that they’re back together and supposedly doing fine it’s about time Townsend popped the question. Charlize has been wearing what looks like an engagement ring on her left ring finger, so these two may be engaged already.

Charlize Theron wore what looked like an engagement and a wedding ring on her left hand to the grand opening of club Social Hollywood last night, June 27. She was accompanied by her boyfriend, Irish actor Stuart Townsend. We spotted an engagement ring on Theron’s left hand in late April when she was photographed attending a basketball game with Townsend. There was a rumor shortly afterward that they were planning a secret wedding in Savannah, GA, but nothing seems to have come of that.

There’s no ring on Townsend’s left hand, but this still looks suspicious. Whatever the story, Theron is trying to tell us something. Celebrities don’t just wear rings on their left ring finger to openings without having an ulterior motive.

This is kind of an exclusive, because as far as we know we’re the first blog to cry wolf about Theron’s rings.

About two weeks ago we mentioned that Charlize Theron was wearing an engagement ring while at a Lakers game with her boyfriend, Stuart Townsend. As far as we know, no one else really noticed and it didn’t get any press.

Now A Socialite’s Life has a rumor that Theron and Townsend are getting married this weekend in Savannah, GA:

If this is true, congratulations to Theron and Townsend! They’ve had a rough go of it, but Charlize played coy and landed her man.

Charlize Theron, 30, was photographed getting all kissy-face with her boyfriend of five years, Irish actor Stuart Townsend, 33, at the Lakers game on Friday. They look incredibly happy and in love, and Charlize was seen with what looks like an engagement ring on her left ring finger.

The couple had some relationship trouble in March, but seemed to have patched it up. Here’s the recap:

Charlize has been without her steady partner lately, leading people to speculate that they’ve split. She went on tour to promote the Japanese release of Aeon Flux right after the Oscars. She also was spotted solo at the SXSW film festival in mid March.

Charlize was said to want time off from the relationship to concentrate on her busy career.

From these latest photos, It looks like the couple is trying to make it work.

People on the JJB bulletin board where we found the pictures have said that Theron look pregnant. We think she’s just wearing a tight top and that these are unflattering pictures.

Star is set to report that the rumors that Charlize Theron 30, has split with her boyfriend of five years, 33 year-old Irish actor Stuart Townsend, are true. Theron’s publicist released an exasperated statement a week ago that the two were still together in response to speculation that they had split. According to Star, Theron wants time away from Townsend to concentrate on her career.

Saying you want time away from the other person usually spells doom for a relationship. Maybe Theron will reunite with Townsend after she has some time to herself, but we doubt it.

The Sun also reported that Theron said she wasn’t ready to marry Townsend, and that marriage is “not really what I want - or what he wants.”

Theron told Oprah last year that Townsend was her best friend and that the two liked to make out.

Theron flew to Japan the day after the Oscars to promote the Japanese release of Aeon Flux. She certainly keeps busy, and It’s a shame that her full schedule got in the way of what seemed like a great relationship.
