This week’s Star Magazine has a quick blurb about Ashlee Simpson and Travis Barker hooking up now that Ashlee is single, having abruptly dumped her husband of nearly three years, Pete Wentz. For Ashlee’s sake I hope this isn’t true, but she’s no prize either:

After splitting from Pete Wentz, Ashlee Simpson, 26, is spending time with another tattooed rocker: Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker, 35, who is Pete’s pal. Says an insider: “She’s keeping it quiet because she’s afraid Pete will be p*ssed.”

I could have sworn Travis Barker was in his 40s, but that’s just due to how rough he looks. Ashlee has horrible taste in men. Travis makes Pete Wentz seem like a decent choice for a husband.

Ashlee hasn’t tweeted much since she filed for divorce. She only only posted once in the past four weeks and and it was an obvious promotional tweet. Whatever is going on with her, I hope that she didn’t leave Pete for Travis Barker. Reports varied after Pete and Ashlee broke up, with some outlets claiming Ashlee wanted to be single and party and others saying that Pete was a pill addict who spent a lot of time away from home. Both of those accounts are probably true.

Last Fall, Ashlee confirmed that she’s working on a new album and plans to put out a fashion line. She should ask her sister Jessica to help her with that. Jessica might not be the brightest bulb, but she knows how to stick her name on stuff and make money.

In the wake of Adam “DJ AM” Goldstein’s death on Friday, many friends of Adam’s have come out to speak about his good heart, and more details have come about the circumstances surrounding his death. As with the death of Heath Ledger, there is probably a lot of false information floating around. While it’s likely that Adam died from either a drug overdose or some kind of fatal drug interaction, nothing is for sure. Some anonymous law enforcement “sources” have been leaking information – apparently, there was a crack pipe and prescription pills in Adam’s apartment, and there might have been crack found somewhere on Adam’s body. But, the autopsy performed on Saturday was inconclusive – toxicology could take weeks.

Meanwhile, Adam’s friends have been speaking out about the man, mostly via Twitter. Travis Barker, who was the only other survivor of that horrific plane crash, called Adam his “brother” and wrote “I love u and miss u, I’ll never forget all the good times we had. I’ll never forget everything we’ve been through and every time I play the drums, I’ll think of you. U were an amazing friend/DJ/human being.” Later Friday night, while performing in Connecticut, Blink 182’s bassist Mark Hoppus told an audience, “This night is really hard for us on stage. We lost a dear friend yesterday. His name was Adam Goldstein. You probably know him as DJ AM. He was an innovator and a genius and he loved music more than anything else. Above all he was a dear friend.” Travis’s estranged wife Shanna Moakler told Us Weekly, “My deepest condolences are to DJ AM — he was a great artist and will be severely missed. My thoughts and prayers to his family and friends. My support and love goes out to Travis as I know hard this is for him and how close they were.”

On a somewhat lighter note, Lindsay Lohan made Adam’s death all about her, of course. Lindsay tweeted “I can’t believe this.. i’m in shock. why? why? r.i.p. adam. Last weekend and this week have definitely left some unforgettable scars.” She also told Extra’s Mario Lopez that Adam’s death was “a really sore subject… He is a really amazing guy and I know it’s hard for a lot of people but he was an amazing teacher and he’s overcome a lot of battles and he will remain in all our hearts. Radar has an early copy of next month’s AC Luxury Magazine, in which Adam gave what is most likely his last print interview and photo session. Adam speaks about his love of the Jersey Shore, and gave that love as a reason for partnering in an Atlantic City club. Adam told the magazine, “I have faith that I am right where I am supposed to be as long as I follow my heart’s desire.” Too sad… it seems like no one has anything bad to say about Adam, and that he tried to live his life with as much positive, optimistic energy as possible. He will be missed.

Who are the worst celebrity parents in the world? There’s a long list to pull from, but I’d say the constant drama surrounding Travis Barker and Shanna Moakler puts them right near the top. The constantly feuding ex-couple will say and do just about anything to each other. Then a few weeks later they’re photographed all over each other at a club. This is the epitome of a love/hate relationship. Though they both have volatile tempers, I think the general consensus is that Travis is the better parent. Certainly that was the impression given on their old reality show “Meet the Barkers.”

Travis and Shanna have been talking some major smack about each other on their Twitters. Because heaven forbid you’re a celebrity and don’t tweet the intimate details of your messed up relationships. First, TMZ’s account of what went down between Travis and Shanna – all regarding a pedophile.

Finally some clarity about Monday’s epic battle between Travis Barker and Shanna Moakler — cops have released the dramatic report from the incident that centered around a convicted child molester.

According to the Barrington Police, the drama began when Travis went to Shanna’s Rhode Island home to drop off their two kids. When Travis noticed a car belonging to a convicted child molester near the home, he got into an argument with Shanna — and she called the cops.

When police arrived, Travis told police he didn’t “want to leave the kids in the residence with a pedophile and wanted a certified nanny with the kids.”

Cops read the court order explaining the custody agreement between the couple, which stated that the man who owned the car was not allowed near the kids. But when they checked Moakler’s home and discovered he was not there, Barker agreed to leave as long as he was given the names and numbers of the two nannies staying with the kids.

After the deal was made, cops say Shanna asked about how to get a restraining order. It doesn’t say who she was trying to restrain, but after Travis posted a message on his Twitter page calling his wife a piece of … well, another word for excrement … you could probably figure it out.

When I read the first part of this story I thought the child molester was someone who lived in the neighborhood and was known to people (thus why Travis recognized his car). But then I realized this is obviously a guy Shanna knows in some way, because he’s mentioned in their divorce papers. He’s been some sort of issue in the past. And yeah the cops didn’t actually find the man in the home, but there was enough reason to believe it was possible that they searched for him. It seems like Shanna is in some way keeping company with a pedophile. She has two little children – son Landon, 5, and daughter Alabama, 3. I cannot even imagine what’s going through her mind. Obviously I’m filling in a few holes with suppositions, but they seem reasonable.

Of course both Shanna and Travis took to their Twitters to share cryptic sentences about what went down. Here’s what Travis had to say:

Travis obviously deleted the comment directly about Shanna, which said “My babies mama is a pile of [sh*t].” Maybe he came to his senses on his own and decided not to talk smack about the mother of his children, at least for his kids’ sake. But he’s still understandably riled up about the child molester, who he names in his Twitter as Rick Sinnott. He also posted a picture of Sinnott’s license plate. Looking the guy up, there’s a “moose whisperer” by the same name who appears to dominate most of the web chatter. I’m assuming it’s not the same guy.

Shanna didn’t directly address the incident via her Twitter, though she may have made a Ghandi-based jab (or “Gandh,” as she spelled it) at Barker:

I feel like I need to phrase all this very carefully because no one has out-and-out said “Shanna Moakler had a pedophile in her home as her kids were arriving.” And I can’t imagine many things worse to accuse someone of. It seems like when you put the pieces together, that’s what went down, but everything is circumstantial. I can’t imagine what she was possibly thinking or what kind of explanation she could give, which is probably why she hasn’t addressed it in any way. She’s not exactly known for taking the high road either. Travis was the one who got in a little trouble (being “warned” by the police), but it seems like Shanna’s the one who did something reprehensible.

My respect for Shanna Moakler recently increased significantly in light of her response to the whole Carrie Prejean scandal. She was articulate and intelligent in her reasons for leaving her position as co-director of the Miss California USA pageant. But that doesn’t mean that she makes good decisions at home. Shanna, who had a “divorce party” for herself after she and ex-husband Travis Barker split (complete with a wedding cake with a bleeding groom on top) has never had much luck in the love department, and her relationship with Travis is far from functional. After Travis survived a tragic plane crash along with DJ AM, the couple decided to remarry. Nothing like a near-death experience to make you value the people in your life. Travis also threw Shanna a huge birthday smash for her 34th. But soon after, photos came out of Shanna macking on Gerard Butler and the wedding was called off. Shanna, of course, denied the cheating rumors through the press.

Travis Barker also seems to have some maturity issues, as he too is using the media, specifically his Twitter account, to lash out at his ex. In his recent tweets, he has accused Shanna of being a “deadbeat mom” who is only looking for “attention and money,” and who doesn’t spend time with her kids.

In the latest round of fighting, Travis decided he wanted to take a shot at the mother of his children. He did so via a Twitter because, what good is it trashing your wife unless you can let the world in on your loathing.

“Kids are not to be used as weapons. Deadbeat moms that sleep all day, seeking money, attention like 2 do so. Just hurts the kids in the end.”

That was his first blast of the day and what he is forgetting is that he has now told his kids that he considers their mom to be a deadbeat who is lazy and wants nothing more than attention. I’m not sure that doesn’t hurt your kids in the end, but hey, Travis knows best right?

Apparently he still had another 140 characters in him because he followed up with that message with this one a short time later.

I checked out Shanna and Travis‘ Twitter accounts, and I found some interesting back-and-forth between fans. A few days ago, Shanna commented that ” ‘Sometimes love comes around and it knocks you down…just get back up, when it knocks u down’ – keri hilson.” Then a fan of Travis’ told him that she hoped he and Shanna were still friends, and Travis responded that “The female who said it is lucky i don’t put her on blast. She likes the attention or i would. Glad i am rid of her now.” But now Travis has put her on blast.

The maturity level here is really incredible. Fighting publicly about your ex-spouse’s ability to take care of your children is such a low blow. In the end, it’s the Twitter that hurts the kids.

So much for Shanna Moakler’s claim of being “tired of playing out their personal relationship in the press.” In the wake of yesterday’s news that she and Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker are indeed off again, Moakler, who would probably die if people stopped talking about her and taking her picture, took to her blog to “say my side of things” in the latest conflict with her ex husband. I think I need Cliff Notes to keep track of these two idiots.

I really thought the days of my personal relationship being played in the public eye were over. just so there is no confusion or “source” to attack my character, I am saying my side.

Travis and I were very much together in September when the horrific crashed happened, not only did I fly to Georgia I stayed by his side the entire stay and also for the bus ride home to LA, I think any human being with a heart and for the love of any good friend , never mind father of their children and lover would do the same, After arriving in LA and getting settled in the new hospital, I came across numerous romantic emails with MANY other woman, some famous , some I personally knew, all heart breaking. and the woman involved you know who you are and should be ashamed of yourself. I also came across emails where employees of my ex were writing comments on gossip networks like TMZ and Perez Hilton, attacking me as a woman and a mother. I Think those were more painful then the infidelities. As anyone can imagine, I was devastated, this is when I stopped going to the LA hospital, I knew and made sure even after what I learned he had a strong support system in place with friends and family, and I made it clear to them why I would be dismissing myself, at that point with the new information revealed to me I considered myself SINGLE and thou In my heart hoped we would remain friends and good parents had no intentions of getting back together. It was a painful time that no one unless they had lived it has the right to judge. Any actions I may or may have not done after this time, mean nothing.

I have been attacked by my Ex and his friends in the press for years at this point, my ability as a mother ( which to me is the cruelest thing you can do to any mother) my character and my integrity. I have never verbally bashed him as a father. I didn’t even bash him after the infamous blogs years ago, I have never went on different social networks and made campaigns of hate and slander, In fact MANY times I have had to bite my tongue and try to be the bigger person. I have tried to always put the lives and thoughts and feelings of my children first. I am by no means an angel, and I have made many mistakes, but a woman can only turn her cheek so many times.

“No Comment” just wasn’t sufficent this time when people continue to lie and distort the truth. the sad part is, the truth really isn’t that juicy or news worthy, it’s sad and I wish it had been left behind closed doors. I am a human being and the bashing has taken it’s toll.

Hmmm. You know what’s missing in this entire, idiotic diatribe? A denial that she hooked up with Gerard Butler! Which makes sense, since there’s photographic proof of the two of them looking smashed and very touchy feely.

Honestly, at this point, who even cares about these two? They are clearly toxic to one another. They should stay far away from one another and only interact when it comes to the children. And most importantly, they should leave us out of it.

Just days after Travis Barker organized a special birthday dinner for wife Shanna Moakler, the couple has split again. Tuesday night they had some kind of nasty fight, and the cops were called. A source tells US, “Shanna started freaking out and acting irrational” but no charges were filed.

So what is the cause of all of this drama? According to the source, “Travis confronted Shanna about her having an affair with Gerard Butler while he was in the hospital recovering.” Mother of God. Now if I ever see Shanna Moakler, they’re going to have to call the cops on me. US Magazine has more:

The couple — who divorced in 2004 but reconciled last September after Barker’s near fatal plane crash — called it quits “after a nasty fight broke out at his house last night and cops were called…[when] Shanna started freaking out and acting irrational,” a source tells Us. No charges were filed.

“Travis confronted Shanna about her having an affair with Gerard Butler while he was in the hospital recovering,” the source says. Butler and Moakler were spotted getting cozy at the Hollywood opening of Shin Korean BBQ last October.

Barker “just wants to focus on his music and his children right now. He is done with her drama,” the source says.

In February, Barker told Us he couldn’t be happier after reuniting with Moakler, who was spotted wearing her wedding band at a Grammys party.

Barker’s rep tells Us: “After surviving the plane crash his driving force in life is the love he has for his kids. He is tired of all other drama and is ready to move on.”

A rep for Moakler tells Us: “They did break up but Shanna never cheated on Travis while he was in the hospital. Furthermore, Shanna is tired of playing out their personal relationship in the press.”

Barker, 33, and Moakler, 34, are parents to Landon Asher and Alabama Luella. She also has a daughter, Atiana Cecilia, with ex Oscar de la Hoya. They starred in the MTV reality show “Meet the Barkers” in 2006.

“The babies are the most important thing right now,” adds the insider. “Shanna cheated on him and then told everyone they were in love again while she was having an affair and he was recovering from the accident.”

Barker spent a month in the hospital with second and third degree burns on his hands and lower body following the crash, which killed four people and badly injured Adam “DJ AM” Goldstein.

“It’s over now and he just wants to move on,” the pal says.

This is like the bajillionth time they’ve gotten back together, split up, been nasty, rinse and repeat. So they’re on track to spending another few weeks saying nasty things about each other in the press, then by May they’ll be back together.

Those Gerard Butler reports have really stuck around, haven’t they? They were photographed together one time, at a club, and Gerry didn’t even look interested in her. So was there an affair? She denies it… so maybe that’s something. If you had sex with Gerard Butler, would you be able to keep quiet about it?

Shanna Moakler became persona non grata with me when she tried to put the moves on my imaginary boyfriend Gerard Butler. She is a mother of three, and her youngest two children were fathered by her husband, Blink 182’s Travis Barker. Shanna and Travis’s relationship has been tortured and hectic – they reunite and split at a steady clip. Travis maybe had a thing with Paris Hilton, and Shanna maybe had a thing with Gerard Butler (sob). But through it all, they never actually got divorced. Good thing, as they’re back on.

Travis decided to throw his on-again wife a birthday party. Shanna turned 34 years old on Saturday. So what kind of party was it? According to OK!, it was an intimate dinner for 20 at Crustacean, with a menu of “ahi tuna tacos, short rib skewers, shrimp mousse, lobster lollipops, garlic Noodles with sauteed prawns, whole-roased cracked crab with An’s garlic sauce and secret spices, Chilean sea bass with steamed scallion and ginger sauce, whole Maine lobster with An’s famous Garlic Noodles, filet mignon with ponzu glaze over mashed potatoes and cipollini onions.” My mouth is watering. Perhaps they topped it all off with a birthday cake from Kroger’s? Nope. Dessert was a “Molten Chocolate Lava Cake”. Damn it!

Perhaps now that he and his Blink-182 bandmates have officially decided to reunite, Travis Barker has decided to make it clear that he and sorta-ex-wife Shanna Moakler are once again a couple.

Though the pair have been quiet about their recent reconciliation, there was no doubt about their couple-hood on Friday night, when Shanna and Travis partied together in public to celebrate the former Playboy model’s 34th birthday.

According to witnesses at Crustacean restaurant in Beverly Hills, the no-longer-exes arrived together at the restaurant around 8pm on Friday, and joined a group of about 20 friends in the private upstairs room.

Travis and Shanna, whose actual birthday is Saturday, sat at the head of the table. Witnesses describe the mood of the party as “very subdued… Nothing really rock ‘n roll about this bunch. There was no music playing other than the house music piped in from the restaurant.”

The table was adorned with a long vertical centerpiece of white roses, lilies and hyacinths, with two bouquets finishing it off at each end. White, cream and lavender balloons were attached to the chairs.

The couple borrowed Dr. Dre’s longtime bodyguard for the night, while the superstar rapper was away in Las Vegas on business. The guard ushered the couple and some friends into a limo SUV at about 12:30 p.m. and took the group to My House in Hollywood, where they stayed until closing.

Travis an Shanna married in Oct. 2004 and have two children, Landon, 5, and 3-year-old Alabama. So does this mean that Shanna will stop eyeing Gerard Butler? One can only hope. Even though I think both Travis and Shanna are dumber than a box of hair, it’s nice to see a once estranged couple with children reunite. Let’s hope Paris Hilton doesn’t come around again – but if she does, I’m sure Shanna will beat her to a bloody pulp. Which I would pay to see.

Since Travis Barker was seriously injured in a plane crash his ex-wife Shanna Moakler has been by his side with their two children, son Landon, 5, and daughter Alabama, 3. There were rumors in January that the two were going to remarry, which sounded suspiciously like Shanna was leaking the news herself. Now she’s spoken to US Weekly to confirm that they will remarry.

The couple ended its two-year marriage in 2006, but became close again after the Blink-182 drummer almost died in a plane crash in South Carolina last September.

Barker and pal Adam “DJ AM” Goldstein were the only survivors of the tragedy, which left four dead.

And the rocker and his ex admit the crash was the inspiration behind their decision to become husband and wife once again.

Former beauty queen Moakler tells Us Weekly magazine, “We would like to renew our vows and have another wedding.

“It’s not so much about the wedding but about having a celebration of each other and getting through all the crazy things we’ve been through.

“When you almost lose a loved one, it makes you appreciate things you took for granted.”

It sounds like Travis Barker might have learned a few things since his divorce – like, next time you marry that crazy former beauty queen who threw a party when you divorced, don’t marry her for real. ‘A celebration of each other’ seems to imply to me that this wedding is going to be mostly symbolic, which most weddings perhaps should be in Hollywood. Shanna has been wearing her wedding rings for months now, which is also symbolic as we haven’t seen a marriage license or pictures.

Shanna’s myspace has her listed as being ‘in a relationship’, while Tarvis’ says he is ‘single’. This doesn’t necessarily mean anything. Travis also has some very gory pictures on his myspace of the inside of his arm getting further surgery related to his plane crash. He has no feeling in his left hand due to his ulner nerve being compressed. This was caused by either the impact or heat at the time. Travis probably has a long time before he completely recovers from the crash, if he ever does. He might have Shanna by his side if that’s any comfort to him.

I guess surviving a horrific plane crash and getting second and third degree burns over half his body wasn’t enough torture for former Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker. Reports are saying that the lucky-to-be-alive musician is rekindling – for about the hundredth time – his romance with former Playboy playmate and Miss-USA Shanna Moakler. Supposedly, they are getting married again in a secret vacation ceremony. Since the crash, Shanna has vacillated between playing the devoted caring wife to Travis when he was first admitted to the hospital and the scorned ex wife, depending on the day and whether or not photographers are around. Will this time be any different?

How much do you want to bet that this “insider” was Shanna herself? That “Stunning” comment is a dead giveaway. I will believe this story when I see the marriage license and photos to prove it. Just because this nutty skank is wearing her wedding ring doesn’t mean they’re back together, much less getting remarried. Since the crash, Travis Barker has been pretty adamant that his main focus is recovering and spending time with his kids – NOT Shanna. He has gone on record multiple times stating that he isn’t back together with her and maintains a good relationship with her for the sake of the children. And let’s not forget the photos of Shanna drunkenly hitting on “300″ star Gerard Butler just days after Travis was released from the hospital. Some people are just toxic together, and these two make Pam Anderson and Kid Rock look like The Honeymooners.

Travis Barker is just one of two survivors of a learjet plane crash this September in which four people, the pilot, co-pilot, Barker’s assistant and his bodyguard, perished. Barker filed a lawsuit last week alleging that the plane was not airworthy and that the pilot should not have aborted the takeoff after the tires blew on the plane. He is suing the owners of the plane, Goodyear, and the maintenance company responsible for the plane.

Barker spoke to E! Online at an event, and he explained his reasoning for suing:

“I wouldn’t have been in the state I was in if I wasn’t in the crash,” said Barker, who spoke Sunday while at the Miss California USA event with Shanna Moakler. “I wouldn’t have third-degree burns all over my body or be prohibited to do certain things. I can’t go swimming. I can’t do some of the things that normal people can do. I didn’t ask for that to happen.”
DJ AM, who is also continuing his recovery from the Sept. 19 incident, is not part of the lawsuit. Said Barker: “I can’t speak for him—I think everyone just has different attorneys.” The two are currently rehearsing for a New Year’s Eve gig at the Paramount lot in Hollywood.
The drummer says he doesn’t know if he’ll win his lawsuit.

“I don’t know. I just think positive. I mean, I think so—if something goes wrong that’s not supposed to go wrong or you fall victim of it, I think you should be compensated.”

He says he’s not just speaking for himself, either. “I lost two friends in the accident. Nothing can bring them back or what I lost in the accident.”

A lot of people would disagree with Barker and say that accidents happen, but many sympathize with him and think that he absolutely has the right to sue. He was badly burned and lost friends. Maybe he should focus more on the fact that he believes it was a preventable accident, and not on his pain and suffering. Many are going to point out that he’s a millionaire and doesn’t need the money from this lawsuit.
