True Blood Season 3 premiere: Alex Skarsgard’s butt, hot homoerotic scenes

alexs4
True Blood was back last night with a vengeance. It took me a while to get into it because there was just so much going on. I’d forgotten most of the plot from last season, but they did a full recap that was more than adequate. There were also plenty of hot guys to keep me from being too concerned about the frenetic pace of the first half. They didn’t have to follow every plot line and character, but it seemed like they tried at first. The show didn’t feel familiar or reach a steady pace until the about halfway through. Here are what I thought were some of the highlights:

Spoilers for last night’s True Blood premiere below
- A hot scene featuring Alex Skarsgaard having sex with a tied up dancer from his club. Sookie went to confront Eric at Fangtasia over Bill’s kidnapping and ended up with an eyeful. We were also treated to several second’s of Skarsgard’s gorgeous ass and lots of shirtles scenes.

billsam
- A homoerotic dream sequence between Sam and Bill. Sam was having the dream, which could potentially be explained by all of Bill’s blood he ingested when trying to recover from the wounds he suffered from Maryanne. Whatever the excuse, it was hot and I’m just disappointed the two didn’t kiss.

pamlafayette
- Pam telling Lafayette not to sass her: “I don’t know what it is about me that makes people think I want to hear their problems. Maybe I smile too much, maybe I wear too much pink. But please remember, I can rip your throat out if I want to, and also know, that I am not a hooker. That was a long, long time ago.”

- Jason turning down a threesome because he kept seeing bullet holes in the women’s heads.

- The introduction of the werewolves.

True Blood is about to get a hell of a lot more interesting, and I can’t wait. Which were your favorite scenes, and did it take you a while to get into the first episode too? I also have to say that I love Jessica’s character and hope we see more of her this season.

Update: I forgot to add these pictures of Alex’s butt!

True Blood cast talks sex scenes (spoilers)

trueblood1

True Blood is coming back this Sunday and I can’t wait! I’ve read all the books except the latest one, and am so excited to see how Alan Ball interprets Harris’ new characters and upcoming plots. The end of last season was pretty disappointing to me, and I found the whole climactic bacchanalian theme with Maryann over the top. It didn’t take too much away from how excellent the show and characters are (except for Maryann, she was awful), but it was a real departure from the books that failed, in my opinion.

Potential mild spoilers ahead. Serious spoilers after the quote There are confirmed new characters from the books being introduced that I’m looking forward to, particularly werewolf Alcide and Jason’s new shapeshifter love interest, Crystal.

In the new issue of Entertainment Weekly, the cast talks about their sex scenes and the strategic use of socks during filming. Stephen Moyer jokes that he doesn’t need a “fluffer” for his scenes with real life love interest Anna Paquin. Are we about to see vampire wood?

“I think that one great bonus is that we don’t need a fluffer,” Moyer, 40 (who plays Bill, vampire Sookie’s lover on the HBO show, returning June 13), brags in the new issue of Entertainment Weekly about his fiancee.

Paquin, 27, doesn’t mind stripping down for her racy bedroom scenes.

“It doesn’t really bother me,” she says. “I’m really close with all of our cast, and we’ve all seen each other in various compromising and odd situations.”

New castmate Joe Manganiello, who plays werewolf Alcide, says he got used to taking it all off as soon as he stepped on set.

“Having been a fan of the show, you know you’re going to be naked at some point,” he jokes. “I will say that I was welcomed into the brotherhood of the sock. When you’re naked on the show, you have to wear a sock, and it’s not on your foot.”

[From US Magazine]

Serious spoilers ahead
So we know that there are more sex scenes with Sookie and Bill coming, but the real question is – when will Sookie and Erik (Alex Skarsgard) get it on? In Harris’ series, those two had mad sex for a couple of weeks while Erik was conveniently enchanted and nothing like his regular scheming self. He was also unable to remember their romps when he snapped out of it, something that worked out very conveniently for Sookie. I wish I could set up some kind of arrangement like that. I want to see some hot non dream sequence sex scenes between Sookie and Erik!

If you can’t wait to see the new True Blood series, there are some previews and webisodes available to whet your appetite. My favorite webisode is one with spitfire teen vamp Jessica (Deborah Ann Woll) messing with a preacher at a casino. Her character is not in the books and is a welcome addition to the show. Woll has a new interview with People Magazine in which she talks about some of the issues Jessica faces this season. Anna Paquin also partially revealed what’s in store for Sookie, and I think those of us who read the books know what she’s referring to when she says “We find out what Sookie is” this season.

There are some spoilers in those links, but no matter how much you think you know, True Blood will have surely have some juicy surprises in store. It airs this Sunday on HBO at 9pm. (This is not an ad, I’m just a fan!)

Who is the sexiest: Stephen Moyer, Ryan Kwanten or Alex Skarsgard?

hot1

CB already covered part of this, just because she’s a True Blood fan girl, and who doesn’t love a good photo of a sweaty Alexander Skarsgard? Anyway, Details finally unveiled the complete trio of True Blood covers, plus additional photos of hotties Skarsgard, Stephen Moyer and Ryan Kwanten, plus big interviews with all three men.

Since I don’t watch True Blood and I’m really not invested in knowing if these dudes have good personalities, I only skimmed the interview (complete piece here). Alexander comes off like a sweetheart, as always, and very humble and down-to-earth. Stephen Moyer sounds a little haughty, a little naughty, and like he’s probably a lot of fun, and probably really good in bed. And Ryan Kwanten, who I knew nothing about before today, comes across sort of interesting. But it’s like he’s trying to prove that he’s not a “meathead” as his character his described. He’s trying a little hard, but maybe with someone else, it would be cute. What is fascinating to me that we have a Swede, an Englishman and an Aussie who have all found fame on an American television show about vampires and sex. It’s weird, right?

In the end, I didn’t find anything fascinating in the interviews, but the photos are killing me, so I thought I’d do a little caption game for them, just for fun:

Alex: “This is how I will look when I’m about to go down on you!”

hot3

Ryan: “No, I’m not Ryan Reynolds. Stop f-cking asking me that.”

hot5

Ryan: “Would you still think I’m a meathead if I took off my pants?”

hot6

Stephen: “Bales of hay turn me on.”

hot9

Stephen: “Imagine this sand is your vagina.”

Alexander Skarsgard is “not shy about getting naked at all”
16th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards - Arrivals

I don’t want to hear about how Alexander Skarsgard is still with Kate Bosworth. I don’t want to hear about how he looks tired, or drawn, or that you don’t see it. Because it’s there. The hotness is there. He’s just… lovely. And sexy. And I’m not even watching True Blood! But I still see it.

Anyway, True Blood cast members have been giving some teaser interviews about the new season, and for True Blood diehards (cough CB cough) it’s sounding good. Like, Alexander Skarsgard totally naked good. Totally naked “a lot” good. Mmm….

Good news for True Blood fans!

We’re told we can expect much more nudity during season three of the hit HBO vampire series, which began filming again last month.

“A lot of people will be getting naked this season,” T.B.’s Todd Lowe (aka Terry Bellefleur) told us at the 16th Annual SAG Awards Saturday night.

In fact, according to castmate Carrie Preston, baring it all is especially a cinch for hunky 33-year-old Swede Alexander Skarsgård…

“Alex is not shy about getting naked at all!” said Preston, who plays Arlene Fowler. “And there will be lots of those kinds of scenes with Alex this season.”

Lowe said, “He’s already been naked a time or two so far since we’ve gotten back to filming.”

Nelsan Ellis, who plays same-sex-lovin’ Lafayette, said, “There are a lot of hunky dudes and beautiful women who have been added to the cast, so it doesn’t surprise me that more clothes are coming off.”

At the recent BAFTA/L.A. tea party, Sam Trammell, who’s already gone practically full frontal as Sam Merlotte, said he’d like to have a bigger share of the fangelicious hanky-panky.

“I’m not having any sex yet,” Trammell told us. “They really should provide Sam with more sex.”

But then he added, “There is a surprising—well, shocking—scene in the first episode. Some people will be happy and some people will not.”

[From E! News]

Sweet Jesus, I have got to start watching this show. It’s HBO, yes? I might have to break down and buy it. I’ll buy it if I’m guaranteed full frontal. Although… full frontal usually disappoints. Will I be disappointed with Alex? Hmm… I doubt it.

Patrick Swayze’s brother gets role on True Blood, + casting news (spoilers)

wenn5407821
I’m anxiously awaiting the new season of True Blood, but it isn’t out until the end of July so I’ll have to console myself with CW’s Vampire Diaries, which is worthy of all the hype in my opinion.* New episodes of The Vampire Diaries air on January 21.

Spoilers below
There’s plenty of casting news for the HBO favorite. Again, there are spoilers below so quit reading now if you want to be surprised.

First up is casting for Alcide, the hot construction company owner who also happens to be a werewolf. We’ve seen shapeshifters on the show, but no werewolves yet. They’re coming, and they’ll probably be wearing shirts more often than they do in Twilight. In the Sookie Stackhouse book series, Alcide plays a competitor for Sookie’s affections. I’m not going to tell you much more, but it’s hard to tell how that plotline will play out on the show as producer Alan Ball likes to mix things up. Alcide will be played by a guy I’ve never heard of, Joe Manganiello, from One Tree Hill and How I Met Your Mother.

Playing the role of Lafayette’s mom will be veteran actress Alfre Woodard. Layfayette’s character has a much different fate on the TV show than in the novels and I can’t remember him having a mother in the books.

We also have news of casting for vampire Franklin Mott, who is set to be Tara’s mean boyfriend. Mott will be played by British actor James Frain of the Tudors. I know him from the 2000 film Where the Heart Is with Natalie Portman and he’s done a lot of TV work since then.

A soap opera actress from Bold and The Beautiful, Natasha Alam, has been slated to play a new dancer at Fangtasia who catches hot Nordic owner Eric’s eye. Just thinking about Alexander Skarsgard gets me a little swoony.

And last but not least, Patrick Swayze’s brother, Donny, 51, will be cast as a werewolf in the upcoming season! The National Enquirer reports the news, along with the quote that “he’s thrilled, but the downside for him is that Patrick won’t be around to enjoy seeing him finally come into his own.”

It’s cruel that we’ll have to wait over 10 months since the end of the last season to get our True Blood fix, but the fans will surely stick around. There’s also a new book in the Sookie Stackhouse series by Charlaine Harris, Dead in the Family, coming out in May 2010. The books are a lot of fun and if you like the show you’ll probably enjoy them. They would also make a great gift for a fan. Start with the first one, Dead Until Dark.

*The CW has advertised with us, but I genuinely love this show.

Stephen Moyer on fiance Anna Paquin: first I fell in love with her talent

Stephen Moyer, 39, had a very frank and kind of gushing chat with E!’s Giuliana Rancic on the red carpet at the Emmys. He was inevitably asked a ton of questions about his relationship with on and off-screen love interest Anna Paquin, 27, and to his credit he was open about how much he cares for her and he even gave some personal details about how he proposed to Anna earlier this year. Moyer previously told Access Hollywood that he designed Paquin’s engagement ring with his friend, the jeweler Kathy Waterman. (Link leads to video.)

I’ve said before that I find Moyer a little self-absorbed and I do sense something preening about the guy. He sucks in his cheeks a lot and strikes me as kind of stuck-up, but the more he talks about how much he loves Anna the more he’s growing on me. He told Rancic that he fell for Anna partly because she doesn’t take any of his crap. Now that’s a man after my own heart:

Stephen Moyer didn’t need a red carpet to see stars tonight.

The very-much-in-love True Blood star had far more to say about his “very funny and very frank and very direct and beautiful” costar and fiancée, Anna Paquin, than he did about any of the Emmy nominees.

“Firstly, I fell in love with her talent,” Moyer told E! News while walking the carpet outside Los Angeles’ Staples Center. “We were actually improvising and trying stuff, [like] ‘It doesn’t work this way, let’s do it another way,’ and so immediately I was very excited about that.

“And then after a few weeks, we’d finished working and I was back in London and she was in New York and I really, really missed her…”

It was then he knew she was the one.

And what about that proposal?

Moyer said he asked True Blood’s costume designer what his beloved’s ring size was so that he could plan for the ultimate surprise.

The proposal “was very intimate and quite surprising for her, I think, and we were by ourselves at dinner in Hawaii and…I surprised her.

“But it was something that surprised me probably more than it surprised her.”

Paquin, of course, has remained her frank, direct self throughout their courtship.

“She doesn’t take any of my nonsense,” Moyer said.

[From E! Online]

I like these two together and there’s something so straightforward and cool about Anna that I think that anyone she picks has to be decent by association. I’m still not 100% sold on Moyer, but we’ll see. Many of you commented that you find him charming and don’t get an arrogant vibe from him, and I think I’m coming around on that.

Moyer is also quoted as giving his sort-of blessing to the tamer, some-say lamer, “Twilight” vamps. He previously called Robert Pattinson’s character Edward Cullen the “Diet Coke of Vampires”, but now he’s trying to be more generous toward the younger competition. Moyer told E! at an Emmy after party “I think they serve a certain audience and we serve a certain demographic, so we can all exist happily together.” I bet he wanted to add “We can still kick their asses with our hands tied, though.”

Vague True Blood maybe-spoilers
In terms of the “True Blood” finale I just want to add that I really liked how they wrapped up that one pesky plot point and then added another semi-cliffhanger at the end. I don’t think it will be that much of a complication, considering how swiftly Sookie addressed that same problem earlier in the series, but you never know. At this point I’ve read all the books and you just can’t tell what will happen in the series because it doesn’t closely follow the novels at all. There’s one big revelation about Bill and Sookie in the books that may – and there is serious spoiler territory in the article linked in the next sentence – be incorporated into the series. Entertainment Weekly’s resident TV expert, Bill Ausiello, spoke with True Blood creator Alan Ball, and Ball wouldn’t say whether or not he would use that plot point in the show. I hope I worded all that vaguely enough for those of you are are fans and those who still want the chance to get into the show. It’s one of my favorites.

Stephen Moyer on on-set romance with Anna Paquin, ‘a glorious luxury’

Stephen Moyer and Anna Paquin
I might think Stephen Moyer is kind of dreamy if it didn’t look like he was sucking in his cheeks and pouting whenever he’s caught out in LA by the paparazzi. There’s something arrogant about the guy, and I confirmed this suspicion by watching a few recent interviews. (He’s very charming when he speaks with his natural British accent, though, and not in that weird Civil War-era drawl. “Suh-key is ma-hine!” You can tell that he’s really into Paquin too and is genuine about her.)

Anyway, the final episode of Season 2 of True Blood airs this Sunday on HBO. Many of us are looking forward to it with bated breath, especially since the show so loosely follows the book series that it’s impossible to guess what will happen. Moyer tells us that it’s going to be wild, and he also heaps praise on his fiance and on-screen love interest, Anna Paquin, saying that it’s a “glorious luxury” to work with her. I would find that swoon-worthy if this guy didn’t rub me the wrong way. Maybe it’s a cultural difference, but I think that “stuck up” sounds and looks the same in most countries:

Playing a vampire on a hit show at a time when vampires are taking over pop culture is a “pretty sweet feeling,” according to True Blood’s Stephen Moyer. But working with his fiancée Anna Paquin is a real “glorious luxury.”

“We are very relaxed together on set, off set and that can only help with some of the things that we get asked to do,” Moyer says of their job, which often includes blood-sucking sex scenes.

Now happily engaged, the costars previously kept their relationship a secret on the set of HBO’s supernatural hit.

“We were very, very cagey,” says Moyer, 39. “We kept tabs on our own relationship, let alone telling anybody because we were very concerned about how it would play out given that anybody who signed up to do one of these series signs for seven years. So, you don’t take a decision like that lightly.”

As the couple, who play Civil War veteran vampire Bill Compton and sweet clairvoyant waitress Sookie Stackhouse, realized there was something serious going, they decided to bring their relationship into the light of day.

“If there is an inevitability to something and there is absolutely no way that that thing can be halted, then you have to go along with it,” Moyer says. “When we realized it wasn’t just some fickle infatuation or chemistry or whatever, we were able to, months later, tell everybody that we were working with.”

There’s reason they’re called actors, apparently. “Everybody was shocked,” he said of sharing their news with the cast and crew, “so I think we’d done a good job of hiding it.”

As for True Blood’s season 2 finale, which airs Sunday (9 p.m. EST) on HBO, Moyer says there will be blood — and cliffhangers and resolutions.

“It’s everything that you would want from a season finale,” he says. “But I don’t even want to make a hint at something because it’s so f–ing crazy. I could tell you something that’s going to happen, but you just won’t believe me, so it’s almost pointless.”

[From People]

Spoilers for past True Blood episodes, sort of
I can’t wait to see what happens on “True Blood” on Sunday, but whatever goes down I really, really hope that Marianne is unequivocally killed. That character plays a much different role in the Southern Vampire Mysteries book series on which True Blood is based, so there’s no telling what could happen. Marianne needs to be offed, though, and I don’t want to see any damn cliff hangers that drag on into next season. That said, I wouldn’t mind if Sookie mixed it up a little and got into the sack for real with Eric. The dream sequences can sort-of satisfy our thirst for seeking hottie Alex Skarsgard’s beautiful body, but I wouldn’t mind if Sookie got tired of Bill and moved on to the hotter vamp. Maybe a new plotline in which her character falls for the viking would help keep her real life fiance on his toes. He seems to be into her, for now, but I just get the feeling that he’s a little too into himself to fully commit. I hope I’m wrong, and he is engaged to her and is speaking about her in glowing terms to the press. That counts for a lot.

True Blood’s Eric’s hot shower scene; Evan Rachel Wood to play vampire queen

wenn5325986

First of all, how did I miss this naked shower scene with True Blood’s hot viking vampire, Eric? This clip of 33 year-old Swedish actor Alex Sarsgård in the 2002 film Hundtricket came out a while ago and you may have already seen it but it’s new to me. If you’ve already seen it, it’s well worth revisiting. The clip is safe for work because the camera unfortunately doesn’t pan down at all, but if you’re at work you may need some time to recover. Skarsgård’s character on “True Blood” is not the most likable vampire, but he’s the most swoon-worthy. His character would make an awful boyfriend, and he’s even worse in the show than in the books, but you can’t help but pray that he gets naked occasionally. That’s accomplished creatively in the show, and I won’t get into the details due to potential spoilers but it’s clear that producers are trying to appease the female audience. Skarsgård is the ripped guy in the center of this scene in case you’re not familiar with him. He definitely doesn’t mind showing off his hot body, and said in an interview with UInterview.com, “I’m a Scandinavian guy, we love to be naked… nudity is great.” *fanning self*

Evan Rachel Wood
Mild spoilers for past episodes follow, but this is relatively safe to read if you still want to watch the show
I’m finally caught up with “True Blood” after many late nights, and in the last episode Sookie’s boyfriend Bill (Stephen Moyer) was visiting the mansion of the as-of-yet unrevealed vampire Queen of Louisiana to ask her help in eliminating a pesky supernatural creature terrorizing his small town of Bon Temps. (Without saying too much, I hope that the person that he’s trying to kill is swiftly eliminated in the coming episode because I find that actress, and her character, incredibly annoying. This part of the plot is a departure from the book and I’m not a fan of the direction that they’re taking with it.)

I’m pleased to learn that the Vampire Queen will be played by gothtastic redhead Evan Rachel Wood, who has a new interview with E! about her role. Wood says she’s a fan of the show and approached creator Alan Ball (Six Feet Under, American Beauty) about finding a part for her. She also appreciates the fine male eye candy that True Blood has to offer and says she’s team Alex – she means team Eric. It sounds like she’s basing her allegiance purely on his physicality, which is definitely an advantage he has over shorter Bill. She also gives Bill some props for being gorgeous too, though. (This interview doesn’t contain any real spoilers. There is one minor spoiler in the source article that I’ve left out here.)

I want to know who you are going to have sex with. Are you more Eric or Bill, and what kind of drama is Queen Sophie-Ann starting?
I figured that those would be the questions! Who do I have sex with? Well, I don’t know if I am having sex with anyone yet, but I certainly have a steamy scene with someone that I don’t think you’d really expect. So it will be a little fun.

So no Eric or Bill? Because I think that is what everyone is assuming.
Um, I’m not saying anything. I can’t say either way.

How did you end up on the show?
I watched the first season and loved the show, so I got in touch with [series creator] Alan Ball and said, “Keep an eye out for anything that might pop up.” I thought it was a long shot, but then later on I got a call saying they needed a queen.

Did you know anything about the queen beforehand?
I didn’t. I said yes, even before I read the script. I didn’t really care.

This past Sunday’s episode was so crazy. I was just watching it and going, “What the f–k!”
That’s pretty much how I feel after every episode. [Laughs] Just wait until the last episodes! There’s a lot that is going to happen. It’s going to be insane. Those were the only scripts that I read, and I was just thinking to myself (a) how are they going to film this, (b) how are they going to get away with this, and (c) just what the hell is going on?

Did you have to get naked yet, because everyone on the show gets naked?
I can’t say I do just yet. But they are bringing me back next season, so it’s always a possibility. It’s kind of inevitable.

So are you Team Eric or Team Bill?
I would say, Team Alex—Eric! Whoops. [Laughs]

Have you seen the clip of Alex’s shower scene in Hundtricket?
I am not going to lie. Yes I have.

He is just stunning.
I have to agree with you. [Laughs] That’s another great thing about my job—all of my scenes are with Bill and Eric! I was surrounded by beautiful people constantly.

Now, I do want to ask you about the Spider-Man musical. What’s the latest?
I don’t know a lot, but as far as I know, it’s still on.

Any truth to reports that you told producers you were backing out so you could be free to do some movies?
No! I didn’t say that! It’s going to be great! Whatever happens, it’s going to be great!

[From E! Online]

Do you think that Evan and tall drink of water Alex have something going on or is she just appreciating his supernatural good looks like the rest of us? From what little I could find out, the guy is single and has dated women in the past, so he could be interested. I get the feeling that he’s not one to settle down like his co-star and buddy Stephen, but maybe I’m just confusing him with his character. After making that assumption, I watched this super gracious, thoughtful interview with Skarsgård (link leads to video) and realized that there’s much more to learn about him. We’ll be covering him more in the future for sure.

I can’t wait to watch “True Blood” this Sunday and see what happens. Evan seems a natural choice to play a vampire and I would bet she does it with flair. Hopefully her character will both kill that pesky dark-haired beast and have a hot makeout scene. Maybe the two incidents will be connected somehow, you never know.

Here are a bunch of photos of Alex Skarsgård, just because. He’s shown at events throughout late 2008 and 2009, and at Comic-Con with a flashy man bag on 7/25/09. He’s shown with True Blood costars Sam Trammel and Kristin Bauer at a cast party on 5/2/09, and with co-stars Patrick Gallagher and again Kristin Bauer in a promotional still. Credit: WENN.com. Evan Rachel Wood is shown at an event on 6/25/09. Credit: PRPhotos

Twilight v. True Blood battle continues; Stephen Moyer calls Anna Paquin ‘hardcore’

tabu 060509

Last week, we reported on True Blood’s star vampire Stephen Moyer’s interview with Marie Claire. In the interview, Moyer seemed funny and charming as he discussed his girlfriend and costar Anna Paquin and how awesome his vampire character Bill is. But then Moyer totally escalated The Epic Battle of Vampire Supremacy when he called Robert Pattinson’s Edward “a p-ssy” and “the slim-Fast, Diet Coke of vampires.” Suddenly, everyone who ever got their mom to buy them black lipstick had to chime in about vampires, sex with vampires, kissing vampires, Joan Jett, and Diet Coke.

Several sources noted the escalation in The Vampire War, but I found MTV’s take particularly funny. MTV actually got “man on the street” interviews, random New Yorkers to comment about vampires. God, I love New York. Here are some of my favorite comments:

“‘True Blood’ because it’s so much better,” one fan told us on the New York streets. “‘Twilight’ is the cheesy version of ‘True Blood.’ [The vampires] are scary and bad, but you still love them.”

Another fan, Sarah, added that “True Blood” is better because it’s “a little bit more mature.” Her friend, Marie, hasn’t seen “True Blood,” but having read both Harris’ and Meyer’s novels, she prefers “Twilight.” ” ‘Twilight’ the movie is awesome,” Marie added.

Sarah opted for Bill. “He seems older and mature,” she told us. Meanwhile her buddy, Marie, explained why she’d go for Edward: “The hair!” she said. “Vampire Bill in the book isn’t that cool.”

[From MTV]

In added Stephen Moyer news, he recently gave an interview to Access DirecTV magazine (story via People). Moyer fails to follow through on the whole “Robert Pattinson can drink my bloody milkshake” stuff, but Moyer does say sweet stuff about Anna Paquin – he seems thrilled that he won a girl who is so “hardcore”.

A couple that boxes together, stays together?

At least, according to True Blood’s Stephen Moyer – the brooding Brit who plays Southern vampire Bill Compton and throws punches with costar and real-life love Anna Paquin.

“When I was a boy I loved boxing,” he tells Access DirecTV magazine in its July issue of his off-screen pastime. “And I’ve got Anna into it.”

Of their love for the brutal hobby, Moyer adds, “I like the sport and she likes the blood. I’m like, ‘Stop the fight, people are getting hurt, I can’t bear it!’ and she’s going, ‘Go on, hit ‘em!’ She loves it. She boxes too.”

But can chivalrous vampire Bill beat telepathic cutie Suki in the ring?

“No way!” he says. “She won’t stop until she’s gnawed your stumps off. I tell you, my girl is hardcore.”

Moyer and Paquin seem so cute together. Well, “cute” meaning “I bet Anna nails that to the wall every night and then some”. They seem like such a sexy couple, and it’s good to see Anna find such a cool guy. Do you think Moyer and Paquin box as foreplay? I bet they do – and I bet Robert “Diet Coke” Pattinson and Kristen “Joan Jett” Stewart don’t. Advantage: True Blood.
