“Glamour model” Katie Price & her drag queen boyfriend marry in Vegas

wenn5424502

I don’t follow British “glamour model” Katie “Jordan” Price’s trials and tribulations like, say, Michael K at D-listed. Sure, I get the kitsch value of Price, but I find her too trashy to even care for the most part. With that in mind, I’m going to attempt to give an update on the Price situation now. Price married her boyfriend Alex Reid in Las Vegas yesterday, stunning the world! Reid is a boxer. And a drag queen named Roxanne. And Price is orange. And dumb. And a famewh-re. So… match made in heaven! Love for the ages!

KATIE PRICE has married Alex Reid in a secret ceremony in Las Vegas, just hours after telling OK! their wedding plans.

Model Katie Price married Celebrity Big Brother winner Alex Reid in a ceremony at Las Vegas’ Wynn Hotel yesterday afternoon (midnight UK time).

Katie, 31, exclusively announced her decision to wed 34-year-old Alex in yesterday’s issue of OK!.

After the 22-minute ceremony, the couple announced: “We are very much in love and look forward to the future together. We can’t wait to get back and celebrate our marriage with our friends and family who we know fully support our wishes.”

Katie - who raises three children, Harvey, seven, Junior, four, and two-year-old Princess Tiaamii with ex-husband Peter Andre - had been keen to wed Alex as soon as the couple arrived in Vegas earlier this week.

A source said: “They wanted to have the ceremony as soon as they got to Vegas, but the bridal stores weren’t open so she couldn’t get a dress.

“She had her fashion team trawling all over town for a gown. In the end she just had to make do.”

The couple - who were spotted shopping for rings just hours before the ceremony - exclusively told OK! of their engagement plans.

Katie said: “This year I will marry Alex and I’m going to have his kids…I’ll change [my name on] my passport, cheque book, everything. I want to be traditional, the way marriage is meant to be.”

Katie exclusively revealed to OK!: “I wish I’d met Alex six years ago. He’s perfect in every way. He’s a proper gentleman…Every man I’ve been with, I’d never buy a house with them, never buy a car with them. But I said to Alex, forget my house, we should buy a house together.

“I’m going to downsize so we can both afford it. We’ll have our joint account, whatever we earn together will go in one pot and everything will be paid out of that. It will be completely equal. So there’s no egos, who earns the most. I’ve never done that with a guy and that’s what I’m doing with Alex.”

Katie and Alex met just weeks after she split from husband Pete back in May last year. They have been dating since last July.

Alex and Katie briefly broke up last year, after she dumped him on live TV during her exit interview on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!, just hours after he was rumoured to have flown to Australia to propose.

But the model said she had been “heartbroken” at breaking off the relationship, and the couple were reunited.

A spokesman for Katie, 31, and Alex said: “Their decision to marry has not been made with any pre-conceived commercial plan or media deal in place, and their reason for getting married is purely down to their love for each other.”

[From OK! Magazine]

I have something horrible to admit. If I had no idea who Alex Reid was, if I had no idea he was with Katie Price, or that he was a drag queen named Roxanne, or that he was so… dumb, I might find him slightly attractive. I mean, just on pure aesthetics, I’m ashamed to admit that I don’t find him unattractive. I’ll go curl up and die now.

But before I go, I will say something else - I think Katie Price hooked herself another one who is afraid of vaginas.

Vince Vaughn marries Kyla Weber in Chicago
Calgary Flames v Chicago Blackhawks - Game Two

My first thought when I saw that Vince Vaughn had gotten hitched to fiancée Kyla Weber was “finally!” Which is weird, because they only got engaged last February/March, so it’s not like the engagement was neverending. It just felt that way, because of all of the reports that Vince was looking for a way out, and that Vince’s overprotective mama didn’t approve, et cetera. At one point I even thought they called the whole thing off, but they didn’t. Anyway, Vince’s rep confirms that Vince and Kyla were married on January 2, in Chicago. No mention of what the bride and groom wore:

He’s a swinger no more.

Vince Vaughn married Kyla Weber in a small private ceremony before family and friends on Saturday outside of his hometown of Chicago, his rep confirms to PEOPLE.

Vaughn, 39, proposed to Weber, 31, a Canadian real estate agent, last Valentine’s Day. “They could not be happier,” a friend tells PEOPLE. The wedding took place at a historic mansion.

Vaughn told PEOPLE in September that after years as a bachelor he was ready for his life “to be about other people and other things” – even diaper duty. “It’s the first time that I really want to have kids,” he said.

The is the first marriage for Weber and the star of Swingers and Couples Retreat. Vaughn had previously dated Jennifer Aniston.

[From People]

Hm… do you think Kyla is knocked up? I doubt it, actually. They’ve been together for about two years, so I think if she was going to get pregnant to hurry things up, she would have done it earlier. Michael K at Dlisted is calling Kyla a golddigger, but I’m not so sure. Could it be that she just thought Vince was the best she could do? While I loved Vince in his early days, he looks like a man who smells and drinks too much these days. So, anyway, congratulations to the happy couple!

Chris Cornell upset over stolen wedding video featuring Brittany Murphy

wenn2321748
In a creepy display of exploitation, an unknown Craig’s List user recently posted an ad accepting bids to own a copy of rocker Chris Cornell’s wedding video, including footage of maid of honor Brittany Murphy. The late actress was a friend of Cornell’s now-wife, Vicky. When Cornell caught wind of this, he quickly contacted Craig’s List and threatened to sue unless the ad was removed. Cornell also demanded that the popular web site turn over the identity of the user selling the footage, claiming it had been stolen.

Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell and his wife, Vicky, are furious after discovering their wedding video was being offered on Craigslist as macabre “lost” footage of dead starlet Brittany Murphy, who was a maid of honor at their 2004 ceremony. Cornell claimed the video was stolen and he threatened to sue the popular site, which has removed the video from sale. A source said, “The video features behind-the-scenes wedding moments, many of Brittany Murphy.” He asked Craigslist to hand over details of the seller, arguing that it’s a federal crime because it’s considered stolen copyright. Cornell’s rep couldn’t be reached, and a Craigslist rep didn’t get back to us. Meanwhile, Cornell announced on New Year’s Eve via Twitter that he’s reuniting with Soundgarden: “The 12-year break is over & school is back in session . . . Knights of the Soundtable ride again!”

[From NY Post]

This is only the first in what I predict will be a flurry of opportunists looking to capitalize on another celebrity death. It’s sad, because not only was this creep looking to cash in on Brittany Murphy, but footage from a personal event - Cornell’s wedding ceremony - was stolen. I wonder if Craig’s List will turn out to be cooperative in this case?

And finally - it’s about time Cornell reunited with his former bandmates. Soundgarden was one of the greatest acts of the ’90s. After embarrassing himself with an un-listenable pop album produced by Timbaland, let’s hope Cornell still has the musical chops he once had.

Kevin Jonas called a sell out for exclusive wedding album in People

jonaswedding
Former US Weekly editor Bonnie Fuller has written an editorial criticizing Kevin Jonas. Jonas, 22, sold the photos of his Long Island winter fantasy wedding to People Magazine for an undisclosed sum. As Fuller notes, plenty of other celebrities have chosen to release free wedding photos to share their happy event with fans. The same goes for baby pictures. Not Jonas, who is forcing fans to buy a particular magazine. Fuller doesn’t discuss what photos may have cost People and if Jonas and his new bride pocketed the money.

I’m wagging my finger at you Kevin Jonas for being a sell-out!

You of all people have no business turning your wedding into a business. By that I mean, giving all your wedding photos to one media outlet—exclusively.

I don’t fault People magazine for doing whatever it took to get your photos with your bride, Danielle Deleasa, on their cover. That’s their job—to try and get exclusives.

I fault you, Kevin! You are a huge star. And not just a regular huge star—but a HUGE teen star! You and your brothers are adored by multi-millions of teen girls around the world. You’ve sold over 8 million albums and most of those buyers have been under 20 years old.

I believe that when you have such an enormous fan base and are such a HUGELY popular star—you have an obligation to share with those fans.

That means giving a free, non-exclusive handout photo to the world’s media, so all your fans can share in your Big Day—not just those people who buy one magazine. Especially one that doesn’t even focus its content on your fans.

Kevin—I also want to be clear that I place the blame on you, not Danielle. After all your experience in the public eye—you are media savvy—not your new wife.

You should have been a fan-friendly class act like Ivanka Trump, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, Ellen DeGeneres, Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey, and Julia Roberts to name a few—who all released wedding photos non-exclusively for all their fans to see.

[From Hollywood Life]

To me it’s about how much he got paid, not necessarily that he’s denying his fans a chance at seeing the photos. There’s something obscene about very rich celebrities selling photos to the fans who pay for their music or movies. (Granted they sell them to magazines, who then sell them to fans, but it’s kind of the same thing.) That’s a good point that the fans get shafted as it’s particularly hard for overseas fans to get access to the pictures. There are a lot of comments on People’s website from people who live abroad and want to see Jonas’ wedding. When the pictures aren’t online they have little chance.

The pictures might be pretty interesting. As Michael K at D-Listed writes, the description of the wedding on People’s website reads like “one big promo for Disney’s Princess Collection.” The wedding took place in a castle and Kevin even gave Danielle real glass slippers. People has his naseating quote “I knew that my princess needed her glass slippers and her castle.”

In related news, there’s a parody website that claims that Jonas gave a press conference after his wedding night expressing his disappointment in sex. Some outlets are picking it up as if it’s a real story, as it ran in the Huffington Post and wasn’t clearly labeled a joke. It is, though. Kevin never said “to be honest about it, sex was not worth the wait. After we did it, I was kind of like, that’s it?

Colin Farrell attends his gay brother’s wedding reception

farrell_4_wenn2700143

Since it’s a slow day, I thought I’d show off some new photos of Colin Farrell and his son James. Colin and James were in Ireland over the holidays to celebrate Colin’s brother’s wedding. Eamon, the brother, had married his partner Steven in Canada (because there’s no marriage for the gays in Ireland), and Steve and Eamon decided to do a big, fancy wedding reception in Dublin. The rumor going around a few months ago was that Colin was his brother’s best man, but I’ve never seen any photos from the actual ceremony, so I have no idea. I bet it’s true. I also haven’t seen any photos of Colin’s girlfriend and baby-mama Alicja, so I have no idea if she was in Ireland too. That would be my guess, but I may be wrong.

Anyway, how cute is Colin? I’m ambivalent towards the sketchy mustache, but otherwise, he’s looking really cute. He probably was feeling hassled because I doubt he wants his son photographed. But this isn’t the first time photographers have gotten a glimpse at James, so maybe it’s not that big of a deal. James is Colin’s son with Kim Bordenave, and James has Angelman Syndrome, a neurological disorder. Colin has spoken about James a few times, and it’s really cool that Colin got to spend time with his oldest son and with his brother on Eamon’s special day.

Meanwhile, in other Colin news, did anyone know that Colin is in Crazy Heart? Crazy Heart is the little film starring Jeff Bridges as a down-on-his-luck country singer. I hadn’t been paying attention to it, but Bridges is picking up a lot of critics’ notice and several big award nominations, so Crazy Heart could be a sleeper success. Anyway, Colin is in it, playing Bridges’ protégé and country-music successor. Colin sings in the film! Crazy Heart‘s producer, Judy Caro gave an interview to E! about Colin’s under-the-radar appearance:

Just when we thought Colin Farrell couldn’t get any hotter, we find out he can sing. Not only does the Irish hunkster do his own singing playing a country music star in the much-buzzed-about Crazy Heart, but he actually has a pretty darn good voice, too.

“No one had heard him sing until he recorded with [composer and producer] T-Bone, but we assumed if he took the role that he probably could pull it off or he wouldn’t have accepted the role,” Crazy Heart producer Judy Cairo told us last night at the movie’s L.A. premiere. “His agent didn’t even know he could sing.”

In one scene, Farrell and Bridges sing together onstage at the Journal Pavilion in Albuquerque, N.M. “They both have great voices,” Cairo said. “In fact, it was Colin’s second day working with us and we brought him in and threw him onstage in front of 12,000 people and said, ‘Sing!’ He was a trouper. He did an amazing job.”

But don’t go looking for Farrell’s name in the credits. He asked that his name be left out. Not only did filmmakers want his appearance to be a surprise, but Farrell “also didn’t want to take the spotlight off of Jeff,” Cairo said. “Obviously this is Jeff’s movie and…if Colin was more in front of it, Jeff would have to share the spotlight a little bit. He wanted to give kudos and credit to Jeff.”

And we can attest to that. We’ve seen the movie. If Bridges doesn’t get an Oscar nomination then there’s something seriously wrong in this world.

“I don’t want to count any chickens,” Bridges told us, “but it’s great to get these good reviews we’ve been getting. This film doesn’t have the millions of dollars to spend on promotions, so it’s great that we’re getting the film out there.”

[From E! News]

Damn, that’s really cool that Colin was like “Just make this about The Dude, Jeff Bridges, man.” Although I suspect part of it was that Colin didn’t feel like going on a publicity tour for the film, it’s still a very rare thing for an actor of Colin’s caliber to ask for his name to be taken off the credits and everything. That’s amazing!

I found some fan footage of Colin and Jeff Bridges singing together on stage for the film, and below that is the official trailer for Crazy Heart. You can see Colin for a split second in two little cutaways. He looks good!

Kevin Jonas marries longtime girlfriend Danielle Deleasa
EXCLUSIVE: Kevin Jonas and his girlfriend Danielle Deleasa go shopping in West Hollywood with friends

Kevin Jonas, the oldest Jonas boy at 22 years old, got married to his fiancée Danielle Deleasa on Saturday in Long Island. Danielle and Kevin have been together since 2007, although they kept their relationship quiet for a long time. They announced their engagement back in July of this year, and I’m kind of happy they didn’t string out the engagement forever. They kept it quiet, for the most part. Although enough details about the wedding ceremony did creep out, and I found myself chuckling at some of these reports. Okay… so, the East Coast got hit with an enormous snow storm, right? So the theme of the wedding became “fairytale forest princess/winter wonderland”. You know why? Because it’s fabulous! Not to be mean, but I really wonder if it was Kevin or Danielle who wanted the “princess” theme.

Anyway, Joe and Nick Jonas served as their brother’s co-best men, and the rings were Jacob and Co. There were 400 guests (I can only imagine the bitch of a time those guests had getting to the “chateau”) and included Demi Levato and… that’s all I’ve got. Danielle wept through her vows, reportedly.

In a setting fit for a Disney prince and his princess, Kevin Jonas married Danielle Deleasa Saturday night at Oheka Castle, a turn-of-the-century French-style chateau, on a sprawling estate in Long Island.

“We’re so happy that we’re finally married and we were able to share the special moment with family, friends and loved ones,” the couple tells PEOPLE.

Though a blizzard threatened the festivities, the wedding attended by 400 family members and friends, including Demi Lovato, went forward as scheduled.

“The snow only made it look more like a winter wonderland,” said Michael Russo, a celebrity event planner of Roses-n-Lollipops, who for Saturday’s event created a fairytale forest under heated white tents, complete with 14-foot trees draped in hydrangeas and crystals made to look like icicles.

“Danielle looked like a princess,” he said. When she walked down the aisle in her strapless tulle and Chantilly lace Vera Wang gown, “Kevin couldn’t stop smiling,” said Russo.

The bride was escorted down the aisle by her father, Thomas Deleasa. Danielle, a former hairdresser, wore a silk-and-crystal flower in her hair designed by Denise Leli, because she was wearing one when she met Kevin in the Bahamas 2007.

With his brothers, Joe and Nick serving as his best men, Kevin, 22, and Danielle, 23, recited traditional vows and exchanged Jacob & Co. wedding bands they designed for one another.

“Kevin has said many times he feels like he met his princess,” says Russo. “To see them together you can feel the warmth and the love all around them. They are just perfect for each other.”

After the ceremony, guests were to be treated to a smorgasbord of Caribbean, Asian and Italian – among other dishes.

[From People]

Okay, some of that was kind of sweet, even to my jaded soul. It seriously sounds like a nice ceremony that the couple probably loved and will remember always. Congratulations to the happy couple!

Should we talk about the sex? Meh. Maybe Kevin lost his virginity on his wedding night, maybe not. Kevin announced back in 2008 that he was going to wait to have sex until he was married, and by all accounts, he was wearing his Tiffany’s purity ring up until his wedding day. I just feel like it’s none of my business, but if Kevin or Danielle ever talk about it in the future, it will be interesting to know. God knows what Kevin’s mother thinks - she wasn’t happy with the idea of any woman getting their dirty, sl-tty hands on one of her pure little boys.

Watch Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom’s faux wedding

If, like me, you assumed that Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom’s fake wedding had already aired on E! you were wrong. I’d long since forgotten about these two, but apparently their show wedding was being polished for our consumption and the final version won’t hit television until this Sunday, November 8. ET has an advance video of some clips, and it looks just as insipid and irritating as we’ve come to expect from ever-present Kardashians. The family of one-dimensional women whose names all start with “K” behaves pretty much as you’d expect.

Khloe informs her bridesmaids that “It’s the last time it’s going to be Khloe Kardashian you guys are sleeping with,” conveniently forgetting that her marriage the next day will in no way be legal. In fact I’m pretty sure it’s still not legal or we would have already heard about it.

At one point Khloe complains about the veil she has to wear, and says “I look like I’m going to go bee hunting.” I won’t make any cracks about how it suits her to obscure her face.

Once they’re at the altar, Khloe’s stepdad Bruce Jenner hands her off to Lamar in a hackneyed, over-the-top way that’s surely just as scripted as the rest of the affair. He pats Lamar on the back, and gives him a handshake, announcing that he and his wife are the ones giving his daughter away.

At the end of the ceremony, Khloe and Lamar make out and come back for more, prompting screams from Khloe’s sisters Kim and Kourtney.

At least Khloe and Lamar are still together as of the air date of their wedding. How long do you think it will take them to make it legal, if ever? We’ve heard that they’ve agreed on the terms of the prenup, and that’s a start.

Thanks to The Huffington Post for featuring this video

Mad Men’s Vincent Kartheiser cries like a little girl at weddings
25th Annual Artios Awards

You may not recognize Vincent Kartheiser. He’s semi-famous right now because he’s on Mad Men - he plays Pete Campbell, the smarmy, pathetic yet sympathetic, old-money WASP accounts manager. Vincent actually has more than twenty film and television credits to his name, but he rules at playing Pete Campbell. It’s like what I think about January Jones - I wouldn’t hate her character so much if January wasn’t such an amazing actress. Vincent gets my respect because I both love and loathe Pete Campbell - he elicits very strong emotions in me, so I tend to think Vincent is doing his job superbly. I’m just giving all of you my little FYI on the guy - I think he’s a great actor, and I’d like to see more of him, and I’d like to see more people show him some respect.

Anyhoodle, Vincent spoke to Us Weekly at the Artios Awards last night (these are photos from the event), and the conversation turned to all of the weddings amongst the Mad Men cast. I’m making it sound more dramatic than it actually is - two actresses from the show recently got married, Elisabeth Moss and Christina Hendricks. As it turns out, Vincent was invited to both “small” weddings. And as it also turns out, he wept like a little girl at both. It’s actually a really sweet interview:

Mad Men star Vincent Kartheiser is man enough to cry at weddings — as he did at two recent ceremonies for castmates Christina Hendricks and Elisabeth Moss.

Moss, 27, married Saturday Night Live’s Fred Armisen, 42, at The Foundry in Long Island City, New York Oct. 26.

“They got right down to the ceremony,” attendee Kartheiser told Usmagazine.com at at Monday’s Casting Society of the America’s New York 25th Annual Artios Awards. “Not a lot of hoopla and waiting around. Really simple and beautiful. Elisabeth said stuff that made me cry.” The actor kept the couple’s words to himself, but explained, “They were really just speaking to each other and the people they loved.”

Hendricks’ Oct. 12 wedding with Geoffrey Arend at Manhattan restaurant Il Buco, meanwhile, “was much smaller,” he says.

“Everyone seemed to know each other. I also cried in that wedding!”

The actor explains that he’s been close to the pair for a while. “I’ve been around for a lot of their relationship. Geoffrey was a really good friend of mine, and when he met Christina I saw his whole life change for the better. It’s an inspiring thing when two people can adapt, give to each other and help each other grow.”

For all his waterworks, Kartheiser, who attended Monday’s event with his girlfriend of one year, Shanna Collins, says he’s “not the marriage type.”

“I don’t get what it’s for,” he says. “What’s the big deal? For some people it works — I don’t know what it would do for me, I’m so confused!”

[From Us Weekly]

Aww… don’t you like him after this? Please? Give him some love! I also like what he says about whether he’ll ever get married. Typical guy. But he sounds like a sweetheart. Don’t believe me? Vanity Fair also ran an interview with Vincent last month - and he started talking about how he was a child actor, and how he always knew he wanted to act. Vincent says: “When I was a kid being an actor was not cool. I’m thirty now and when I was a kid in the 80s that wasn’t a cool thing to be. Now I see with my niece that acting is like the thing. I don’t know if it’s because of the Disney Club or whatever, but all the boys are actors and in dance and stuff and I’m like, Wow, I got beat up every day because I was in ballet and I was an actor and that was, you know, ‘gay,’ or whatever. But I always loved it as a kid and it’s something I’ve always done.” Sigh… good kid.

Brad & Angelina get “married” by Maddox, plus triangle drama

img088

In Touch’s uncool Bermuda Triangle is much of the same crap they’re been shoveling for the past … what is now?… four years and ten months or so. I suppose the twist is that they’ve joined their normal “last straw” story of “Brad is sick of Angelina, must run back to Jennifer Aniston as fast as his little legs can carry him” with a more current story. This version is about Brad’s motorcycle accident over the weekend - according to IT, he got in the accident because he was in such a rush to meet Aniston. Oh, yes. The gerbils are leaking stories all over the place! Allegedly, Brad texted Jennifer to set up a meeting to talk about her rumored reunion with John Mayer. IT’s source claims Brad thinks Mayer is “nothing but trouble” but Jennifer is “rubbing the relationship in his face”. Ugh. So he asked for a meeting, and then got into an accident, and they didn’t meet, I guess. Whatever.

In Touch also say Angelina’s “retaliation” against “Brad’s independent streak” is to reconnect with her two ex-husbands, Jonny Lee Miller and Billy Bob Thornton. Some source overheard Billy Bob telling friends that he and Angelina speak all the time, and apparently, Angelina may still talk to Jonny. Which doesn’t sound that weird, because she and Jonny seemed to have maintained a genuine friendship for many years after their divorce. IT claims that “Angelina knows Brad gets jealous” of her relationships/friendships with men, and she speaks to men on purpose, knowing it will get him riled up. Whatver.

The National Enquirer also had a story revolving around the Triangle and the motorcycle crash, but it was kind of boring. The gist was that Jennifer Aniston was really scared that Brad could have hurt himself, while Angelina was all “meh”. Meanwhile, Life & Style‘s take on the accident was courtesy of a named eyewitness/resident of the building that Brad went to wait for help. Talia Schwartz claims: “He told the building manager that Angie was going to kill him because she thinks motorcycles are too dangerous.” Uh… but Angelina rides motorcycles too.

My favorite Brangelina tabloid story of the week comes from Star Magazine. It’s just as credible as all the other ones (re: not so much), but it made me laugh, and my mood definitely needs improvement. Star reports that while Brad and Angelina were staying in France, they got “married”. But not really… they just had a fake ceremony with Maddox acting as the justice of the peace. Seriously!

Brad and Angelina held an intimate, romantic marriage ceremony at their French chateau, with all six of their kids by their side.

“They threw themselves a wedding for the sake of the kids,” an insider tells Star. “Maddox has been pressing his parents to get married for a long time. It wasn’t legally binding, but it was important for them to have a special ceremony to let the kids know they’re just like married people.”

The ceremony was conducted by 8-year-old Maddox, who put Shiloh, 3, in charge of the rings. “He was adorable when he mispronounced the word ‘bearer’ and told Shiloh, ‘You’re the ring bear.’ She was thrilled,” the insider says.

Zahara was the flower girl, Pax got to be best man and 15-month-old twins Knox and Vivienne giggled as they watch the ritual unfold in the Grand Hall of the magnificent Chateau Miraval.

“Mad was so honored to marry Mommy and Daddy… He learned all about traditional wedding vows and memorized a lot of it. But he ended up reading off a piece of paper.” Brad and Angie also read their favorite poems and stories aloud.

The bride wore a simple, flowing white dress while the groom was dashing in a suit. “All the kids wore costumes… Shiloh had her sword, Maddox was in a camouflage army top while Pax dressed in an Adidas outfit. Zahara wore a dress and a plastic Disney tiara.”

[From Star Magazine, print edition, November 9 2009]

The wedding meal provided to the wedding party was home-baked bread, salad and cheeseburgers. And one cake, which led to a food fight - “Angie couldn’t stop laughing… Shi had cake in her hair!” Star also claims that Brad got emotional, like a little girl. He apparently called his family and told them about the “wedding” and now he and Angelina are thinking about doing it for real. Yeah… I don’t think that it will happen, but the image of Shiloh as “ring bear” and Zahara in her tiara is a good one, isn’t it?

Ivanka Trump marries Jared Kushner on a New Jersey golf course

Ivanka Trump
I’ve actually been following the engagement and now marriage of Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner. I think I enjoyed the stories because it’s surprisingly old-fashioned - both are scions of wealthy real-estate-developing New York families, both are in the media (in Kushner’s case, he’s a media publisher), and both are seemingly well-adjusted, nice people. Their lack of anything tawdry, shocking or gross is what fascinates me, I suppose. It’s all so old-school! Oh… wait. Jared’s father is felon. But The Donald is no prize either, so I guess that’s the small scandal.

Anyway, 27-year-old Ivanka Trump (daughter of Ivana and Donald) married 28-year-old Jared Kushner (publisher of the New York Observer) in New Jersey on Sunday after a three month engagement. They wed at her father’s golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey in front of 500 invited guests. The bride wore Vera Wang, and by most accounts it was a totally elegant ceremony. Oh, and Ivanka converted to Judaism too! Mazel tov!

Jewelry designer and entrepreneur Ivanka Trump is a married woman!

The 27-year-old daughter of Donald Trump swapped vows with New York Observer owner Jared Kushner Sunday in New Jersey, Usmagazine.com has confirmed.

The afternoon nuptials took place on the grounds of the Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, New Jersey. Ivanka wore a Vera Wang wedding gown, inspired by Grace Kelly.

“She was the most stunning bride,” a rep for Ivanka tells Us.

Despite a short engagement, Ivanka says the plan for her special day quickly fell into place — thanks to a wedding planner who kept her on task.

“I only had a 3 month engagement so it was all done pretty quickly,” the newlywed told Us before the ceremony during the launch party for her new book Trump Card. “To all those women planning a wedding, just be organized and decisive. It also helps if you have a wedding planner helping you out!”

Another big plus that bodes well for their nuptials? Dad Donald is a fan of Kushner.

“They make a magnificent couple,” the mogul has told Us of Ivanka and his new son-in-law.

Ivanka announced her engagement last July via Twitter. “I got engaged last night…truly the happiest day of my life!!!” she wrote.

The couple have been dating since 2007. They briefly split, but reconciled in July 2008. Trump, an executive vice president at the Trump Organization, converted to Judaism for Kushner, the owner of the New York Observer.

See, doesn’t it seem like a nice ceremony? I wonder if The Donald cried. He seems like he could be a sentimental man. Or perhaps he was just thinking about all of the property the two families can now develop together. Anyhoodle, do you think Ivanka will get knocked up right away? I bet she does.
