Jessica Simpson is spending over a million on 11/11/11 wedding in Hawaii

54382pcn_jessica01
In Touch has some supposedly exclusive details about Jessica Simpson’s wedding plans to her former football player grad school dropout fiance, Eric Johnson. As she did for the courtship, her engagement ring, and their daily life together, Jessica is paying for the destination wedding, and why not? She’s loaded thanks to her fashion line and Eric is her date and companion and that’s about it. At least Jessica has a prenup, if rumors are to be believed.

Well Jessica and Eric got engaged on 11/11/10 and if In Touch is accurate they’ll be married on 11/11/11 at 11:11. It sounds cheesy and superstitious, but I still make a wish when I notice that the clock says it’s 11:11. I don’t schedule my life around numerology or astrology or anything though. Jessica seems to, and she should just trust her instincts and not try to get by with magical thinking. We’ve heard at least two stories this spring that she’s had cold feet. That happens when you just know you shouldn’t go through with it. Jessica is pushing forward, though, and is said to have been inspired and challenged by the royal wedding, and to want to use her wedding to get back in the spotlight.

After months of stalling, Jessica Simpson has finally agreed to an “I do” date – 11:11 a.m. on November 11, 2011- and she plans to ensure that her nuptials with Eric Johnson, 31, become the new wedding of the century!

“Jessica will be spending upward of $1 million, easily,” a source close to the singer, 30, tells In Touch of the splashy affair, which will take place on the romantic Hawaiian island of Kauai.

The surprise announcement is a huge relief to Jessica’s friends, who as In Touch previously reported, had all but given hope that the couple would ever make it to the altar. The reason for Jessica’s sudden wedding fever? It’s a last ditch attempt to revive her career, says another insider. “She was devastated when she didn’t get hired to be a judge on The X Factor….”

Now… inspired by the hysteria surrounding the royal wedding, Jessica has hired [planner] Mindy Weiss to oversee a headline-grabbing event that will help her reclaim the spotlight. “She’s flying more than 50 family members and friends to spend a week partying with her and Eric in Hawaii,” a friend of Jessica’s tells In Touch.

Between Weiss’ fee ($150,000), guests airfares ($50,000), rings ($100,000), hair and makeup ($25,000) and flowers ($10,000), the costs are already staggering. “She’s picking up the tab for everything,” says the friend, who notes that Eric is currently jobless.

Jessica refuses to spare any expense – least of all when it comes to her gown. Referring to the now-iconic Alexander McQueen dress worn by her bridal competition, Kate Middleton, Jessica has thrown down the gauntlet, declaring, “I’ll outdo her!”

[From In Touch, print edition, May 30, 2011]

You know that Jessica will outdo Kate Middleton by having bigger hair, a more elaborate dress, and a showier wedding. If it’s true that Jessica is trying to use her wedding as a way to wedge back into a show business career good luck with that. Reese scored the cover of People in her wedding gown and it didn’t help her movie at the box office at all.

The photos below are of Jessica Simpson having lunch with Eric’s family on mother’s day. This is how she dresses when she’s visiting with her future in laws, in a denim shirt with giant rose emblems on it, short shorts, platform sandals and a leopard purse.

Sarah Palin’s son Track got married (her oldest, not Tripp, not Trig)

sarahheader
Sarah Palin’s 22 year-old son, Track, just married his high school sweetheart in a small private ceremony. They’re going to have a big ski trip weekend blowout for friends and family to follow this Winter. I would normally float some conspiracy theories about how they needed to have a shotgun wedding, but if they’re having a ski weekend in about seven months that doesn’t make sense. At that point the bride would presumably be ready to pop or would have just had a baby. Still, she’s wearing a really loose top in the photos on People.

Sarah Palin’s eldest son, Track, 22, recently married his high school sweetheart, Britta Hanson, 21, in a small ceremony in Hatcher Pass, Alaska.

“Our families couldn’t be happier!” the Hansons and Palins tell PEOPLE in a joint statement. “These are two hard working, humble, active, studious young adults who grew up together. We’re tickled that after two decades of friendship we proudly witnessed their marriage, knowing their new life together will be blessed.”

The couple will have a larger wedding celebration this winter at Alaska’s Alyeska Ski Resort “when extended family and friends from the Lower 48 can travel north for a long ski weekend,” says the statement from Sarah and Todd Palin and the Rev. Duane and Elizabeth Hanson.

Britta and Track have been dating since high school. When Track was stationed overseas in 2008, Sarah Palin used to joke that she hadn’t heard from her son since his deployment, though his girlfriend had.

Track is now an Army Reservist who spent a year deployed in Iraq with a Ft. Wainwright Stryker Brigade. He plans to study at the University of Alaska after the commercial fishing season. Britta is a nursing student at the University of Alaska.

“The Hanson and Palin families are ecstatic and proud that Britta and Track married in one of our favorite spots in America, spectacular Hatcher Pass, Alaska,” says the statement. “It’s a site we’ve all shared fun memories of skiing, snowboarding, hiking and snowmachining.”

[From People]

Now that I’m reading about Track’s service record, I’m reminded that he’s the one who is rumored to have had a problem with drugs, particularly Oxycontin, before he went off to Iraq. Hopefully he’s cleaned up his life and is ready to settle down. Not a lot of 22 year-olds are.

They love alliterative names in the Palin family and Sarah’s youngest, three, is named Trig while her grandson from daughter Bristol is Tripp, two and a half. When this couple has a baby, probably about six to seven months from now, what are they going to call it, Truth? That’s a generic name that could apply to a boy or girl. Plus Sarah Palin thinks she corners the market on it.

Blake Shelton & Miranda Lambert wed; also, some Followill got hitched too

wenn3206208

I have no idea which of these wedding stories you want to hear about more, so you’re getting both of them in one post. Yesterday, Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton got married in Texas, and on Friday, Caleb Followill of Kings of Leo married Lily Aldridge (Victoria’s Secret model) in California. Do you care about one of the couples more than the other? Personally, I care more about Blake and Miranda, but because I think Blake might have some issues (the alleged homophobia stuff) and I was stunned to see that Miranda – while very cute/pretty – is 27 years old yet looks a decade older.

It’s official: Miranda Lambert is a married woman! The 27-year-old “House That Built Me” singer wed longtime love Blake Shelton late Saturday evening at Texas’ Don Strange Ranch, the couple confirms to Us Weekly exclusively.

Wearing her mother’s wedding dress, Lambert walked down the aisle in front of 550 family members and friends (including Reba McEntire, Cee Lo Green, Martina McBride, Dierks Bentley, Charles Kelly and the Bellamy Brothers).

“I’m married to my best friend!” Lambert told Us after the ceremony. “Looking forward to a lifetime of laughter.”

Added Shelton, 34: “I wanted to be married to Miranda the day I proposed. Finally, it’s official!”

Dating since 2006, The Voice mentor asked for Lambert’s hand in marriage last May. “I fumbled it up a little,” he told Us of the proposal. “It’s funny how you rehearse those things and go over what you want to say, but I probably screwed it up.”

Fortunately, Lambert didn’t seem to notice. “He did a really good job,” she insisted. “He’s always nervous around me, though — and that’s how I like it!”

This is the first marriage for Lambert; Shelton was married to Kaynette Williams from 2003-2006.

[From Us Weekly]

It all sounds very sweet. I like that Miranda could have gone with some big designer wedding dress but she wore her mom’s. That’s cool.

Moving on… Caleb and Lily’s wedding sounded a lot more expensive and fancy:

It was a ceremony fit for a King and a Queen. When Kings of Leon rocker Caleb Followill wed Victoria’s Secret supermodel Lily Aldridge at San Ysidro Ranch in Montecito, Calif. on Thursday, the couple were joined by Caleb’s bandmates and brothers, Nathan and Jared Followill, as well as his cousin, Matthew Followill.

Hours before the intimate ceremony began, Caleb, 29, and Aldridge, 25, enjoyed a family breakfast on the patio overlooking the garden. “Caleb and Lily had coffee and pastries and everyone sat around chatting,” a source tells Us Weekly. “There was a relaxed vibe and everyone took their time eating and taking in the nice weather.”

Once the meal was over, Aldridge and a girlfriend left to begin prepping for the 5:30 p.m. ceremony; Caleb and his family stayed behind, where they tanned by the pool, drank champagne and played horse shoes. “Caleb seemed very relaxed and not nervous at all,” the insider notes.

Aldridge, who wore a custom-made Vera Wang gown, and Caleb, who looked dapper in a Gucci suit, “said their vows underneath a big tree with twinkle lights” just before sunset. “Lily cried throughout the whole thing,” a second source tells Us. Once the ceremony was over, the couple and their guests had dinner in front of a big stone fireplace, the source adds.

“It was a perfect day,” Caleb told Us on Friday.

The couple spent their first night as newlyweds in the Lilac Cottage, a one bedroom cabin featuring a king bed, a masonry fireplace, heated bathroom floors and an outdoor sunken hot tub and rain shower. The price? $1,200 a night.

The following morning, “Caleb and Lily met with their family again for a big relaxed brunch,” the source says. “Everyone sat outside for hours chit chatting and talking about the night.”

[From Us Weekly]

Meh. See, this one is boring to me. Rock star marries Victoria’s Secret model. It’s such a cliché. At least the Blake-Miranda pairing has some drama!

Congratulations to everybody, though. Mazel tov!

Marie Osmond remarries her first husband 26 years after they divorced

marieosmondmarried2
When I heard that Marie Osmond, 51, was remarrying her husband, I thought it was the guy she was last divorced from, Brian Blosil. It turns out Blosil was her second husband and Marie had reunited with her first husband, Stephen Craig, 54, whom she divorced in 1985 after being married to for just three years. Marie has a son with Stephen who is 28 and also named Stephen. Marie wore the same dress to her wedding in Las Vegas this week that she wore back in 1982 for their first wedding. She originally planned to wear a new dress, but told Entertainment Tonight that once she saw the dress that was custom-designed for her she realized “it was not right” and was in tears. Marie explained that she just happened across her old wedding gown five days before the wedding when she was cleaning out her garage.

Nearly 30 years after their 1982 marriage and subsequent divorce three years later, Marie Osmond and former basketball player Stephen Craig got married for a second time Wednesday in Las Vegas, her rep confirms to PEOPLE.

“I am so happy and look forward to sharing my life with Stephen, who is an amazing man as well as a great father to my children,” says Osmond, 51, who has a son, Stephen, 28, with Craig, 54.

The couple were married in a private ceremony at the Las Vegas Mormon Temple and celebrating at a reception at their Nevada home.

Osmond wore the same wedding dress, designed by Ret Turner, that she wore at the couple’s first wedding.

Wednesday’s wedding date is significant to Osmond and Craig as it marks the birthdays of both Marie’s late son Michael and late mother Olive. “It was important that both Michael and my mom were with us on this special day,” says Osmond.

Craig is a former professional basketball player and travels the country as a motivational speaker. Osmond is currently performing, with her brother Donny, on stage at the Flamingo Hotel in Las Vegas, and just this week released Donny & Marie, their first studio album together in 30 years.

“These two people are right for each other,” Donny tells ET. “My sister is so happy.”

[From People]

The Enquirer has run quite a few stories about Marie, but I haven’t paid much attention to them. Looking over past issues, there was a November cover story last year (image below) about how her second husband, Brian Blosil, abused her physically and emotionally and was suspected of molesting one of their children. It sounded like a nightmare. Marie and Brian had seven children together, including a biological son and daughter and five adopted children. Marie’s 18 year-old adopted son, Michael, committed suicide last February, 2010, by jumping from his apartment building in Los Angeles.

So Marie really deserved some happiness in her life after everything she’s gone through and it’s nice to hear that she’s found it with her first husband. According to the Enquirer, Marie and Stephen hit a rough patch back in February of this year and called off their wedding for a while. They’ve obviously worked it out, though and were ready to make it official again. Congratulations to Marie and Stephen! Do you think that the decorations at the reception included any of her dolls? She has a bridal one that would go nicely with the theme.

LeAnn Rimes & Eddie Cibrian got married in Malibu on Friday

wenn3207010

This news actually shocked me a little. Not that I didn’t fully expect LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian to get married – I did, and I bet LeAnn was dumb enough to do it without a prenup too. No, what shocked me is that they managed to get married without a lot of hoopla, on a Friday afternoon/evening, before a holiday, and one week before The Wedding of the Century (Prince William and Kate Middleton). It’s almost like… LeAnn was trying NOT to be a famewhore. Odd, right? Oh, well. Now the deed is done so I suppose we can start the official countdown for Eddie’s infidelity:

It’s official: Eddie Cibrian and LeAnn Rimes are husband and wife!

“LeAnn and Eddie were happily married today surrounded by their closest family and friends,” the bride’s spokesman, Rhett Usry, confirms exclusively to PEOPLE. “They thank everyone for their well wishes.”

Country star Rimes, 28, wore a Reem Acra gown as she and actor Cibrian, 37, exchanged personalized vows on Friday in front of about than 40 guests, including Cibrian’s sons Mason, 7, and Jake, 4, from his previous marriage.

The couple had led friends and family to believe that they’d been invited to an engagement party, but surprised the guests by tying the knot at the intimate ceremony held at a private home in California.

“I’m looking forward to settling down,” Rimes recently told PEOPLE of her impending nuptials. “Settling into our life.”

The couple got engaged in December when Cibrian proposed with a 5-carat diamond ring from jeweler Brent Polacheck, who also crafted their wedding bands.

[From People]

Well… congratulations to the couple. I guess. Sure. All I can think about is how awful she must have looked, a bag of bones and a pair of bolt-ons, sauntering down the aisle in a God-awful, tacky gown. I wonder if she’s going to sell the photos? People Magazine, you think?

By the way, a lot of people are talking about LeAnn’s new interview for this show, Great American Country. LeAnn played the victim card over and over again. Here’s some of what she said:

On her divorce from Dean Sheremet: “I know I didn’t do it the right way. I didn’t have the tools to know how to do it the right way, how to let go the right way. I’d never been taught that…I think I felt really abandoned – I think abandoned is a really good word – because of our divorce. Not only that, our divorce became so much bigger because it was so publicized.”

Learning from her mistakes by screwing Eddie: “I have the strength [now] but I didn’t at the time… So, it got really messy, but I have learned a lot from that. And I’m not glad it happened, but I know why it did.”

The “double standard” for country music men: “[Country music] has such a double standard. You know, Willie Nelson and Johnny Cash and all these guys. God knows what they did back in the day? And if a woman did it, you never were accepted or forgiven. But if it was a guy, it was just their life… It’s quite interesting to have to navigate those waters as a woman in this business.”

[Quotes via The Mail]

Ugh. I can’t even start with her. SHE felt abandoned? And she really thinks she’s like the most special, A-list superstar, doesn’t she? It’s even worse when you see the video:

Reese Witherspoon’s wedding photos in People: tacky or romantic?

people_reesesdreamday
Back when we reported the news that Reese’s wedding was about to happen, I said I would love to see some photos. Given how private Reese is, I expected her to release a single posed wedding photo, probably through the Associated Press, and to be done with it. Reese has a whole photo spread coming out in this week’s People, though, and they just put the cover online. This confuses me for several reasons. First of all, it’s Monday and we usually don’t see the magazine covers until Wednesday. (Kaiser reminds me that they did that last week with Elizabeth Taylor’s memorial issue.) Also, it doesn’t seem like Reese at all! This is a move that “stars” like Carrie Underwood and Hilary Duff make. This isn’t something that an A-lister like Reese needs to make public. Did she get a payday for this photo spread and is she going to donate the money to charity? She doesn’t have to or anything, I just don’t get it!

Reese Witherspoon’s country-elegant March 26 wedding to Pennsylvania native Jim Toth, 40, mixed her Southern roots with inspiration from her 1920s ranch estate.

“Timeless California architecture, rustic materials and beautiful gardens,” says a pal, gave the actress the perfect storybook setting for her special day in Ojai, Calif.

Wearing a custom-designed Monique Lhuillier blush-hued gown with a Chantilly lace corset bodice and full tulle A-line skirt, Witherspoon, 35, “wowed,” says a guest. “She took your breath away.” The gown was adorned with a double-face silk satin ribbon with cascading silk flowers, which matched the dress of Witherspoon’s daughter Ava, 11, who served as maid of honor in her own custom Lhuillier.

The bride changed into a second Lhuillier design – a white silk minidress with a party skirt – for the reception.

“There was a real family feel,” a guest tells PEOPLE. “There was so much joy in the room and a lot of laughter,” adds another.

For exclusive photos of Reese’s wedding – and all the details of her emotional, joyful ceremony – pick up the new issue of PEOPLE, on newsstands Monday!

[From People]

There are more details of Reese’s semi-rustic kind of country-themed outdoor wedding in this earlier story. I’ll buy this issue tonight if I can find it in stores. I’m really looking forward to seeing Reese’s wedding photos, and I’m especially interested in the decor and feel of the reception. Still, I’m kind of shocked that she went this route. Maybe Jim convinced her to do it for her career. He does work for Creative Artists Agency after all.

Reese’s dress is pretty and I love her simple hair and makeup, but why can’t we see her new husband at all? Also, why did she wear a blush gown? Is she so traditional that she feels she doesn’t deserve a white gown for her second wedding? I still really like Reese, but this People cover doesn’t seem like her to me, nor does the fact that she’s been hanging out with Chelsea Handler. Congratulations though, and she’s definitely pleasing a lot of fans. Reese is currently promoting Water For Elephants, out April 22, and this ties in nicely with that. Kaiser reminds me that Reese’s last movie bombed (remember How Do You Know? That was all she put out last year) and that could also be motivating her to go public with her wedding photos.

Here’s Reese out shopping on 3/24. This was before she got married. Credit: WENN.com

Hugh Hefner is marrying 24 year-old Crystal Harris without a prenup

wenn5505610
We heard rumors a couple of weeks ago that Hugh Hefner’s would-be bride, 24 year-old Little Mermaid-loving Crystal Harris, was cheating on her very elderly fiance with one of Dr. Phil’s sons. (Not the one with the television show, another one.) A rep for Playboy denied that Crystal and age-appropriate Jordan McGraw were in a relationship, and claimed that Jordan was producing Crystal’s “album” (of course she’s putting one out, she’s also working on a makeup line).

So it looks like Hugh and Crystal are moving forward with their wedding, which is scheduled to take place on June 18 at the Playboy Mansion. The ceremony will be held in the grotto area in front of the waterfall and the reception will have a “silver and white” theme. Preparations are underway, but they don’t involve a prenup, according to TMZ. You would think that would be a given when the groom is a millionaire 60 years older than the bride.

He’s 84 and worth $43 million … she’s 24 and knows he’s worth $43 million — yet sources close to Hugh Hefner and Crystal Harris tell TMZ neither has uttered those dreaded words … “prenuptial agreement.”

Hef’s third wedding is just 10 weeks away, but we’re told he hasn’t raised a prenup convo because he “actually cares” about Crystal and doesn’t want to ask her to sign one.

We’re told Crystal doesn’t think Hef will bring it up before they tie the knot.

What could go wrong?

[From TMZ]

This guy has sons that are 19 and 20. They should sit their dad down and have a little talk with him about protecting his assets. At 84, Hef could conceivably live another 15 years but that’s a best case scenario. He’s about to leave the bulk of his estate to the last golddigger he hooked up with in a very long line of interchangeable surgically enhanced bottle blondes. Crystal was there at the right time and she seized her moment. She’ll win the marriage lottery soon and she knows it. Maybe she thinks she’s earning it. (I would say “on her back” but you know that’s not specifically the case here.)

Photos are from 6/26/10 and 5/15/10. Credit: WENN.com

Prince William refuses to wear a wedding ring: is this sketchy?

wenn3259197

So I read this report from People Magazine, and my immediate reaction was “Prince William is a balding ball of sketch.” I emailed it to CB and she thinks it’s weird too, and she pays way more attention to stuff like this. According to People Magazine (quoting palace sources), Prince William isn’t going to wear a wedding ring. Like, he doesn’t want people to know that he’s married? I get that some men don’t like jewelry of any kind, and some men simply are bothered by ring-wearing, but isn’t it the kind of thing where most of those men simply eat it and wear the ring?

For her, a band of royal gold. For him … a bare ring finger! Prince William is going to eschew the modern-day tradition of men wearing wedding bands.

A spokeswoman at the palace tells PEOPLE, “There is only going to be one ring, in accordance with the couple’s wishes.”

Not to worry, royal watchers: Kate Middleton will have a wedding band, and it will be made from Welsh gold.

A tiny amount of gold mined from the Welsh mountains (not far from where the couple will start their married life on Anglesey,) has been kept in the royal vaults since it was originally presented to William’s grandmother, Queen Elizabeth.

The Queen has “given a piece of the gold that has been in the family for many years to Prince William as a gift,” a palace source says.

An expert craftsman, unnamed by the palace but likely to be the Crown Jeweler Harry Collins, has been tasked with fashioning the nugget into a piece for Kate.

[From People]

So after nine long WAITY years, our little Waity finally gets the ring, but William won’t wear one. I wonder what his reasoning is? Is it something to do with his military service, I wonder? If it is, I might understand not wanting to wear a ring while you’re on duty or whatever, but I don’t understand putting up a fight about not even having a ring on your wedding day.

Reese Witherspoon’s wedding actually sounds really cool & really Southern

wenn3229394

I’ve talked about this before, but I really need to stress it for this post – I am not a wedding person. I don’t have the bride gene. When I see a show about picking out the perfect wedding gown, I change the channel to a rerun of Law & Order: SVU. Fluffy white gowns, seating arrangements, wedding waltzs, floral arrangements, all of that stuff that brides seem to obsess over – I just don’t care. This is probably one of the many reasons why I’m not married (that, and I’m not a baby person either). If and when I ever get married, it will not be some big thing. I’ll either elope, or go down to a court house while wearing a suit, or maybe something really, really simple with, like, barely anyone there and just a lot of food.

So imagine my surprise when I was reading even more details of Reese Witherspoon’s weekend wedding (go here for yesterday’s post about her nuptials), I found myself thinking, “Damn, that sounds really nice.” Reese invited lots of A-listers to her wedding (RDJ!), but she kept everything really down-home and Southern and the whole thing sounds really cool:

When Reese Witherspoon wed Jim Toth at her Ojai, Calif. ranch on Saturday evening, the couple was 90 miles north of Los Angeles — but the vibe of the night was a universe away from Hollywood glitz! UsMagazine.com has brand-new details on the Oscar winner’s big-time nuptials.

In a courtyard in front of the Ojai house, the Monique Lhuillier-clad actress, 35, and CAA agent Toth, 40, exchanged vows and William Goldberg wedding bands beneath a canopy.
About 120 family members and friends– including Sean Penn, Scarlett Johansson, Renee Zellweger, Tobey Maguire and wife Jennifer Meyer, Robert Downey Jr., Matthew McConaughey and love Camila Alves, Alyssa Milano, Colin Hanks, Isla Fisher and hubby Sacha Baron Cohen– were on hand for the bash.

Reverend Jimmy Bartz, of the Santa Monica church regularly attended by the couple, officiated the 20-minute service, and Witherspoon’s children (with ex-husband Ryan Phillippe) Ava, 11, and Deacon, 7, participated in the ceremony.

Matron of honor duties went to Witherspoon’s best friend Heather Rosenfield, whose little boys served as ring bearers; the star’s nieces were flower girls.

In a fitting turn for the Southern-born actress, a bluegrass band played “Tennessee Waltz” as the processional music for Toth and the kids, segueing to “Here Comes the Bride” for Witherspoon’s walk, and playing “Will the Circle Be Unbroken” during the ceremony.

Immediately following the “I do” exchange, guests retreated to a one-hour cocktail party behind the house.

The special night’s theme? Rustic, farm-style, of course! (At her bucolic Ojai spread, Witherspoon gardens and keeps horses, donkeys, pigs, goats and chickens.) The outdoor decor included lanterns and chandeliers hanging from trees, mismatched antique chairs and distressed benches set throughout the property, a wood plank dance floor, antique leather sofas, jute rugs, wago wheels and Turkish textile pillows.

Different arrangements of white, blush and lavender flowers were set up on each table in mason jars, fish catcher lanterns and antique pots. And large moss-covered pots with lavender were set up all over the estate.

When it was time for dinner, guests sat down at long tables in a fabric-lined tent behind the house. On the menu, catered by L.A. eatery Lucques: endive salad with olives and fava beans; wild striped bass with potatoes, chanterelles and garlic; mustard grilled chicken with haricort vert and herb roasted lamb with braised artichokes. For dessert? A grand wedding cake designed by Erica O’Brien, a separate table of sweet treats — and a s’mores lounge!

After the meal, guests boogied on the dance floor to DJ-spun tunes. When it was time to call it a night, revelers departed clutching gift bags with pecan currant scones from a local baker.

Says a pal of the couple, who began dating in January 2010: “They feel like they’ve hit the jackpot in this relationship!”

[From Us Weekly]

Okay, if and when Gerard Butler/Michael Fassbender/Ralph Fiennes wants to marry me and he really wants a big, Hollywood wedding, we’re doing it like this. I like Reese’s plan, and I would happily copy it. Now Gerard just needs to buy me a big ring. And Michael needs to rest up for the honeymoon.

Reese Witherspoon married Jim Toth on her ranch in Ojai on Saturday

fp_5712439_witherspoon_reese_fpp_00_15

Well, we knew it was happening this weekend, but what’s surprising is how many really specific details were leaked. Reese Witherspoon wed her CAA-agent fiancé Jim Toth yesterday in California, on her Ojai ranch. The wedding date “somehow” got leaked a few weeks ago, and now both Us Weekly and People Magazine have, like, intimate details of everything. Here’s Us Weekly’s take:

Hello there, Mr. and Mrs. Toth! Reese Witherspoon married Jim Toth early Saturday evening at her 6-acre ranch in Ojai, Calif., UsMagazine.com has confirmed.

Wearing a custom-designed Monique Lhuillier gown, the actress, 35, exchanged vows with CAA agent Toth, 40, in front of 120 family members and friends (including Renee Zellweger, and Alyssa Milano, and Tobey Maguire) in the front courtyard of the Ojai house.

Witherspoon’s best friend, Heather Rosenfield, served as matron of honor, and her kids with ex-husband Ryan Phillippe — daughter Ava, 11, and son Deacon, 7 — took part in the ceremony. The Oscar winner’s young nieces served as flower girls.

The “Tennessee Waltz” was the processional music for Toth and the kids, while Witherspoon walked down the aisle to “Here Comes the Bride.” The 20-minute ceremony was officiated by Reverend Jimmy Bartz, founder of Thad’s church in Santa Monica, where the couple have been attending weekly Sunday services. The duo exchanged wedding bands designed by jeweler William Goldberg.

Located 90 miles north of Los Angeles, the Ojai ranch — where the star gardens and keeps horses, donkeys, pigs, goats and chickens — has been Witherspoon’s rural escape for years.

It’s the second wedding for the actress, who divorced Phillippe, 36, back in 2007 after seven years of marriage. Shortly after ending a three-year relationship with Jake Gyllenhaal, she and never-married Toth began dating in January 2010. (Although A-list firm CAA also counts Witherspoon as a client, Toth has never represented her.)

The star’s rep confirmed their engagement to Us on Dec. 28, 2010. “They are extremely happy,” the rep said.

About a week later, Witherspoon debuted her engagement bling — a 4-carat, $250,000 Ashocka cut diamond ring from William Goldberg — at a Laker’s Game.

Sources close to the newlyweds tell Us they’re the perfect match. Says one pal of Toth, who’s bonded with her kids: “He’s a very confident guy who takes care of her.”

“[Reese] really wants to be married and have that security with someone,” another insider says. “They feel like they’ve hit the jackpot in this relationship!”

[From Us Weekly]

People Magazine claims they’ve got the exclusive, and yet they seem to have less details (go here for People‘s coverage). Which I think means that Reese and Jim are trying to get the covers of both mags next week, right? Probably. Anyway, it sounds like a really nice, respectable, quiet wedding service and I think and hope that Reese and Jim make each other happy in the long run. They truly seem like they “fit” and Reese seems happier with Toth than she’s been in a while. Congrats to the couple! I say she’s knocked up within a year. She won’t get pregnant right away, in my opinion, but it will happen by the end of this year, I think.
