Anna Nicole biopic to fittingly star bad pop singer who was in Playboy

One of undoubtedly countless made for TV, bigscreen, and straight-to-dvd accounts of Anna Nicole’s tragic life is about to be made. This independent production is taking advantage of the fact thst it’s the first and will be simply named “Anna Nicole.”

It will star little-known one-hit wonder, “Dacing with the Stars” contestant, and fellow Playboy playmate Willa Ford:

Dancer-singer Willa Ford has signed to star as Anna Nicole Smith in an indie biopic that will begin shooting next week.

The previously announced film, “Anna Nicole,” is produced by Jack Nasser and Joseph Nasser with Elie Samaha exec producing. Keoni Waxman directs.

Movie will cover Smith’s life from age 17 until her death in February at 39, including her success as a Playboy centerfold, Guess model and actress, her marriage to billionaire oil tycoon J. Howard Marshall II, the death of her son and her own death five months after giving birth to a baby girl, Dannielynn. The dispute that erupted over who was the baby’s father was settled Tuesday when a judge in the Bahamas ruled, based on DNA tests, in favor of California photographer and former Smith boyfriend Larry Birkhead.

Ford’s best known for her multiplatinum single “I Wanna Be Bad” and her debut album “Willa Was Here.” She was also a performer on the third season of ABC’s “Dancing With the Stars.” She is currently writing and recording her sophomore album.

Ford was seen in the February, 2006 issue of Playboy sporting new tits and a landing strip.

From what I can tell, she’s eminently qualified to play Anna Nicole. She’s got the blank stare, dark roots and vacant look down.

When I heard this story I remembered that Howard Stern had trademarked Anna Nicole’s name back when she was alive. I figrued this out when I tried to create a T-Shirt with the phrase “I am the father of Anna’s Nicole’s baby” but was denied by CafePress, the company that fulfills T-Shirt orders for Celebitchy and just about everyone else that wants an easy way to create branded merchandise. I was hoping that Howard had renewed the trademark and that I could report this titillating “news,” but he hasn’t and it’s listed with a status of “dead” or “abandoned” in the US Trademark and Patent database. Guess he was preoccupied with other things and is missing a chance to cash in on Anna’s name at this point.

Here are NSFW pictures of Willa Ford in Playboy. Thanks to The Dark Hat for these pictures.
