Those awe-inspiring photos of Brad Pitt posing as a super-hot laborer for Habitat for Humanity were taken in the span of fifteen minutes. Pitt spent just fifteen minutes on the job site in Malavli where a home was being constructed for a deserving Indian family. 82 year-old Jimmy Carter and his wife worked all day, only taking a break for lunch.

MALAVLI: After dodging the media in Pune and Jaipur for close to a month, Hollywood star Brad Pitt made a sudden appearance at Malavli village near Lonavla on Monday, where he joined former US President Jimmy Carter to construct houses for the poor.

For the 2,000-plus foreign and Indian volunteers engaged in constructing 100 houses in a week, it was an amazing sight to observe the 82-year-old Nobel laureate laying bricks and cement alongside the muscular Pitt. His appearance at the site, 56 km from Pune, around Monday noon took everybody off guard. The hunky actor — sporting a grey hat and dark jeans — surrounded by private security went to house number 73, where Carter and his wife Rosalynn were working.

The trio exchanged greetings and talked for a few minutes, before Pitt joined the former US first couple in voluntary physical labour, involving laying of concrete blocks and cement at the house.

After spending about quarter of an hour with the couple, the actor went to the restricted zone at the back of the site and made his departure unnoticed.

The Carters, in jeans and sports shoes, worked for long hours on Monday at the site undertaking all tasks related with masonry and only took a lunch break. Jimmy Carter’s advanced age failed to dampen his enthusiasm as he climbed ladders and lifted huge concrete castings with ease.

At least Pitt put in an appearance to help publicize the charity, but it seems like he could have contributed a couple of hours at least. He got all the credit without having to do much work. He has a bunch of kids so he has an excuse I guess.

The new James Bond movie is going to be a lot more interesting than we thought. Rumor has it that girly-man Daniel Craig is going to redeem himself as the most metrosexual Bond ever with full frontal nudity in the film. Now Judi Dench, who is pretty well endowed herself, says that Craig’s no slouch in the manhood department. The dignified British actress says he’s got a monster c0ck!

DAME JUDI DENCH has lavished praise on DANIEL CRAIG’s manhood, insisting the JAMES BOND actor’s penis is “an absolute monster”. The Oscar winner, who plays M in the 007 movies, used a trailer opposite Craig during the shooting for CASINO ROYALE, and was surprised to find the 38-year-old actor wandering naked outside one day. Dench recalls fondly, “It’s an absolute monster. Sorry, I shouldn’t say that, should I? How uncouth of me.”

When I read that all I could picture was the final scene in “Boogie Nights,” and I got a little woozy thinking about the possibilities for “Casino Royale.” Despite all of Craig’s well-publicized personal foibles, some of which were bogus like the story that he couldn’t drive a stick, (I never corrected that story, sorry) A reviewer at The Sun saw it and says he’s the best Bond since Connery. It sounds like he’s certainly fit for the part.

While we may never know what hastened the end of Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe’s Hollywood marriage, we can get a lot of information from the clues they dropped in interviews. We’ve covered a couple of Ryan’s recent interviews that suggest that he’s having trouble in his relationship and although I hyped it at the time and never thought they would actually break up.

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner are expected to make an appearance together this Saturday at a political event for California’s Defenders of Wildlife, which hopes to oust 13 year incumbent Republican Richard Pombo from his Congressional seat.

Affleck is an outspoken Democrat and campaigned for Gore in the 2004 election. He has most recently lent his support to Illinois Senator Barak Obama for proposition 87, a California ballot measure which places a tax on oil to fund alternative energy projects. Julia Roberts has also spoken out in support of the measure.

Affleck won Supporting Actor of the Year at the recent Hollywood Awards for his role as beleaguered Superman actor George Reeves. He quipped that he was “going home to make love to the babysitter,” his lovely wife Jennifer Garner.

Garner looks fabulous and seems to have lost her meager baby weight the healthy way through sensible exercise and diet.

Star is running a story with the headline that Keith Urban’s cheating sent him into rehab. Inside the article, though, they say that the cheating took place back in March way before their June wedding. Keith is said to have screwed a pr0n star for three full hours at a bachelor party. Nicole must have forgiven him because she ended up marrying him and supposedly knew about it. The article kind of half-suggests that Keith’s infidelity is the reason he’s drinking so heavily now.

Sources close to Nicole say Keith had to fess up to Nicole after reports came out that he had bedded a porn star for three hours at a wild bachelorette party in a ritzy L.A. hotel in late March. Keith had reportedly also been drinking champagne that night. Nicole was “cut to the bone” after learning the truth. “She’s grown up enough to know that boys will be boys,” says a friend of hers. “She didn’t threaten to leave, but she told him he had a lot of bridge burning to do.”

It seems like the actual reason may have more to do with the expected failure of his new album, which is out November 7th. He desended into drug abuse after his first album flopped, and he seems to have reverted to old habits again. His first single off the album, a tribute to Nicole called “Once in a Lifetime,” is said to suck.

People reports that “he’s a perfectionist” and that pressure from recording his new album may have pushed him over the edge.

People also says that Nicole and Keith will weather this storm together, but I’m not so sure

“She is standing by him,” a friend says of the actress. “The have a commitment to each other. It’s incredibly painful, but they’re working it out together.

We’ll see how things turn out for Nicole and Keith, but with Keith cheating on Nicole in the spring, then heading to rehab after just four months married, it just doesn’t look good.

Roger Friedman of Fox News claims to have witnessed Reese and Ryan’s huge fight at the “Flags of Our Fathers” premiere. He claims that they had a very obvious fight on the terrace at the party, and that they had already agreed to break up at that point. He mentions it as an aside, though, so I’m not certain he’s confident that it’s true:

The party took place in the rooftop penthouse suites of the Soho Grand Hotel, and what I saw next was something I decided not to print at the time. The couple went out on the roof terrace and had a knock-down, drag-out fight. It looked like something from “Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?”

My line of vision was partially blocked by a big exhaust pipe, so at different times during the fight they were obscured. But then Ryan would appear, disgusted, on one side of it, and Reese on the other.

Suddenly, Reese stormed back inside, crossed past me and headed for the elevator. Ryan followed in hot pursuit. Thus, their security guards assigned for the night went running after them, thinking that they were leaving.

After a couple of minutes, though, clearer heads prevailed. The couple came back from the elevator with security in tow. Perhaps they’d forgotten that many members of Ryan’s family, including his grandmother, were still in the room, oblivious to what was going on.

All of this was alluded to in our Oct. 17 column. I referred to their marriage as “tempestuous,” trying to err on the side of good manners. It was obvious from their heated exchanges that the couple was in trouble. But no one really knows what goes inside a marriage; maybe fighting was part of their deal.

In retrospect, however, Ryan and Reese already knew it was over when they came to the “Flags of Our Fathers” party. They had already committed to it, and Phillippe’s family wanted some kind of celebration.

Reese Witherspoon was photographed out and about by herself in Brentwood on 10/28. She looks gorgeous and well dressed just days before announcing the dissolution of her marriage to Ryan Phillppe. She has reportedly contacted divorce attorney Robert Kaufman, who represented Jennifer Aniston in her split with Brad Pitt. I bet Reese gets right down to it and files divorce papers soon. Still, she’s going to take a hit. Reese and Ryan have no prenuptual agreement, and Ryan is entitled to half of the couple’s fortune under California law.

There was a report last month that Kate Hudson was “about” to file for divorce from her husband of six years, scruffy Chris Robinson, but that turned out not to be true because no one has filed the paperwork yet.

Chris is currently touring with his band, The Black Crowes, and it is said that Kate is annoyed that he’s away from their two year-old son so often, which may have led to their breakup. It is also rumored that Chris wants to get back together with Kate and make the relationship work, and that Kate’s mom, Goldie Hawn, is also pushing for a reconciliation.

Star has a story in their latest edition about how Kate “tamed” her new boyfriend, Owen Wilson, but their only evidence is Owen’s toned-up physique and the fact that he doesn’t hang out at the Playboy Mansion any more. Kate and Owen are set to spend some time apart while she films “Fool’s Gold” with Matthew McConaughey in Australia in November, and Kate may have postponed filming to spend more time with Owen.

Star also runs a shocking picture on their cover of Kate’s 20 year-old brother, Wyatt Russell, on a stretcher.It turns out that Wyatt only suffered a back spasm and shoulder injury while he was playing hockey.

Overall it seems like there’s not a lot of meat to this story.

Plastic fantastic Ivanka Trump got a new rack and it looks like she added tons of fake hair and the pelts of several slaughtered animals to the mix to complete her barbie look. She looks wasted while posing outside of her 25th birthday party, but maybe she’s just high on all the synthetics coursing through her body. I would make the blowup or “Real Doll” comparison but that’s just too easy.

Ivanka is said to be bedding “That 70s Show” star Topher Grace this month. I loved Topher in “In Good Company” with Scarlet Johansson, but his career has not really taken off. Now that he’s with Ivanka it can safely be assumed that he’s not super successful because he has poor judgment.

A Cambodian charity says that Angelina Jolie owes them over $1 million in promised funding after abruptly stopping donations last December. Instead of giving the $1.5 million in funds to the forest conservation group she was helping, she decided to start her own agency to oversee the work without telling them first:

In 2003, Cambodia approved a forest conservation project funded by Jolie, for which she promised up to $1.5 million for community-based work over five years in remote areas of northwestern Cambodia.

The project was to be implemented in partnership with the Cambodian non-profit group Cambodian Vision in Development, or CVD.

The group’s director, Mounh Sarath, on Monday accused the Hollywood actress of cheating after she stopped providing money to his group without explanation.

But Sam Borana, Jolie’s attorney in Cambodia, said she was merely exercising her right to oversee the work, and was establishing a separate organization in Cambodia to which she would provide the funds.

The money for Jolie’s project — dubbed the “Maddox Jolie Project” in honor of the son she adopted from Cambodia — is to create programs for villagers dwelling in the forest, so they can rely less on logging to make a living…

“I am accusing her of violating the agreement under which she agreed to provide funds to CVD,” Mounh Sarath said. “The more than $1 million she has promised has never arrived.”

He said Jolie cut off funding and ended cooperation with his group in December last year without explanation. He and his staff have also been barred from using the project’s facilities, which Jolie’s lawyers have claimed is her private property, he said.

Since he had not received an explanation of such actions, he decided to go public with his complaints, he added.

He said Jolie’s action was unfair since he helped arrange for her to be honored for her aid by being awarded Cambodian citizenship last year.

Jolie’s lawyer, Sam Borana, confirmed that that the actress has stopped providing funds to CVD, and said the project will become an independent non-governmental organization.

He said the controversy was the result of a misunderstanding on the part of Mounh Sarath.

“This is not about violation of the agreement. Ms Angelina Jolie just exercised her right to decide to stop giving the money,” he said.

This sounds like there’s some politics involved and that someone probably made some decisions that she did not agree with. It’s hard to tell what happened, but it seems like the work will still get done, just not by this charity group. If it’s true that they never got an explanation and were kicked out of their offices that’s pretty harsh.

There was a report less than a month ago that most of the charities in Namibia Angelina and Brad had promised funds had still not received them.

I’m just reporting on the news, I don’t make it.
