Everyone’s been making fun of Hilary Duff’s too-long veneers since she got them installed last year, and Gallery of the Absurd even did a an hilarious illustration of her as a horse. (Thanks Farkers for correctly my crap grammar.) Now Life and Style cites a cosmetic dentist who claims that she had her teeth shortened recently:

“The length of each veneer was a little too long, and the width of the smile was too wide,” Dr. Michael Apa, dentist to the stars and Elite Model Management consultant, says of Hil’s smile, which cost the star at least $15,000.

The work was meant to improve her smile, but “it made her look goofy, like she was bucktoothed,” Apa says.

That was until Nov. 5, when the star flashed a more familiar smile, which made her look as if she’d had a visit from the tooth fairy!

“She probably had her teeth recontoured or reshaped to fit her smile,” says Apa of Hil’s smaller, narrower smile. “Now you look at her cute smile rather than focusing on her large teeth. She looks much prettier!”

Good for Hilary. She looks a lot younger with the smaller teeth and darker hair, but that could also be due to the cute cap she’s wearing.

Salma Hayek is wearing a dress made for a lesser-endowed woman at a press conference for “Ugly Betty,” the critically acclaimed show she produces. She’s just so stacked. Commentors on the bulletin board where we found the pictures are divided as to whether Hayek has breast implants or not. I have no idea, but they look great to me.

The second time around was apparently not successful for trashy couple Pamela Anderson and Kid Rock. TMZ is reporting that Pamela just filed for divorce after less than three months of marriage! They seemed like they would make it a year at least. Pamela suffered a miscarriage and was away filming in Canada for a while. I wonder what happened and if she caught Kid Rock cheating or something when she came back.

TMZ has learned that Pamela Anderson has filed for divorce from husband Kid Rock.

Anderson, who is represented by celebrity hotshot lawyer Neal Hersh, cited irreconcilable differences.

The couple was married August 3, 2006.

We’ve learned there was not a prenup, however, the two were married for such a brief period of time it will probably have little impact.

Maybe this explains why they got so annoyed at the paparazzi.

Apparently a Shanghai company devised a product for the removal of pesky freckles that really, truly to God works! Their claim:

So good, it could remove spots from fish!

Also apparently, it caused death in the fish. Unfortunately, I haven’t heard PETA make an uproar about it yet probably because they’re too busy harassing humans for not being cruel to animals.

People who bought the product complained of “rashes, skin inflammation, blistering, colored spots and other adverse reactions.” Sounds lovely.

Magic Freckle Gel was also endorsed by Lindsay Lohan. Haha! Okay, not really, but damn that’d be funny.

Still on sale but I couldn’t find it anywhere (probably because I didn’t look except under the bed and in my backpack).

Britney just isn’t getting enough attention from hanging out with Paris Hilton constantly and having her publicist alert the paparazzi to their whereabouts. She flashed her punane again in a too-short dress. I was willing to give her a pass for her first kitty-baring mishap, as it seemed that she was tired and clueless and could genuinely lack clean underwear considering how often she was seen out in that “Little Miss Sunshine” shirt.

This time, though, it was way too obvious and deliberate. She bent over while wearing a really short dress and has ventured into inescapable Lohan country. Even the mainstream press is talking about it. ABC News asks if all this ass-flashing is damaging our impressionable young people, who just don’t know the meaning of manners:

Today, when Britney Spears displays her private parts to the paparazzi, the world points and laughs.

Spears is the latest star to give people a glimpse of what’s usually covered up, a trend that asks the question: What value, if any, does culture place on modesty today?

On Nov. 22, cameras caught Spears, the recently separated pop star and mother of two, in a leopard-print minidress so short it revealed her underwear.

Two days later, Spears was photographed getting out of a car in a hiked-up miniskirt. This time, her underwear was nowhere to be found.

According to celebrity blogger Perez Hilton, Spears’ up-skirt shots are no mistake — they’re a classic cry for attention.

“She wants the picture taken. She wants the publicity. She wants people talking about her,” Hilton said of Spears. “That’s what people love to see more than anything. Why do you think celebrity sex tapes sell so well?”

The photos, which spread virally across the Internet, gained Spears entry to a club ruled by repeat flashers Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan. Cameras have caught Lohan panty-less four times over the last two months.

Paris and Britney have been hanging out with their “freaky frenemy” (Thanks to submitter Scout on Lipstick for that great title) Lohan lately. With company like Paris and Lohan, is it any wonder that Britney thinks showing her crotch several times is ok? She’ll be trying the strawberry Nesquick next. Paris looks like a savvy businesswoman when paired with those two. That was probably her plan all along.

Good Charlotte singer Joel Madden and teen sensation Hilary Duff are said to have cut ties. Madden told girls at a club in Chicago that he’s single now after Duff broke it off with him about a week and a half ago:

Madden made a guest DJ appearance at Enclave on Wednesday night and openly talked about how he is currently single. Madden told clubgoers Duff broke up with him about ten days ago and that their eight-year age difference was causing problems. (Madden is 27, Duff is 19.)

Hilary revealed in a Jane magazine interview that not everything was well in her relationship with Joel. She said that the paparazzi help them make up during fights as they don’t want pictures taken when they’re angry:

She says, “If we’re out some place, we could totally be fighting, but we’ll be looking at each other (smiling) because there’s a camera right there.
“Then we end up forgetting we’re in a fight, because we’re laughing since it’s not a real thing to do, and we’re both such real people.”

Hilary and Joel were dating just over a year, having confirmed their relationship in the summer of 2005.

It looks like Borat is the reason behind the breakup of Pamela Anderson and Kid Rock’s less than four-month marriage. Pam screened the movie for Kid, in which she makes a cameo as herself with Borat throwing a bag over her head and chasing her around. She looks like she’s really bothered by the whole thing and is caught offguard, but word is she was in on the joke. Kid was so upset at her performance that he called her a slut in front of everyone. That’s pretty much when their really solid marriage broke down:

“Ron Meyer held a screening of ‘Borat’ at his house for a bunch of people, including Pam and Bob,” says an Anderson pal. “It was the first time Bob [Kid Rock] had seen the movie, and, well, he didn’t like it.”

The hugely popular film shows Sasha Baron Cohen - in character as Borat Sagdiyev - falling in love with Anderson after seeing her in a “Baywatch” rerun, then driving across America in order to propose marriage to her.

Her friend tells Page Six, “Bob started screaming at Pam, saying she had humiliated herself and telling her, ‘You’re nothing but a whore! You’re a slut! How could you do that movie?’ - in front of everyone. It was very embarrassing.

“Pam thought he could have a sense of humor about the movie. She was in on the gag from the very beginning and loved doing the movie. And on the eve of what was supposed to be a very positive thing, he made it an awful night.

“Ever since that night, it has been icicles between them,” the friend relates. “Bob is just a very unhappy and angry man. Pam is very disenchanted and sad. You know, there are reasons why she never married him before. Those reasons disappeared while they were together on a boat in St. Tropez, but she knows now that they never went away. The reality is he is an insecure, angry man….

“Pam is just very happy to not be in the same house with so much passive-aggressive hostility in it,” the friend adds.

My husband would be overjoyed if Borat stalked me and I made it into a movie. Kid Rock must have a real problem.

Kate Hudson’s estranged husband Chris Robinson just filed for divorce after they were separated for about three months. That may have been the opening Kate’s semi-secret lover and costar, Owen Wilson, was looking for. He was said to be eyeing engagement rings at a Harry Winston store with his mother in tow:

IT looks like Owen Wilson is about to pop the question to Kate Hudson. The so-called “Butterscotch Stallion” was spotted Friday with his mother at the Harry Winston store at the Highland Park Mall in Dallas. “They were looking at a huge, pear-shaped, flawless diamond engagement ring,” said our witness. Owen and Hudson fell in love filming “You, Me and Dupree” last year, and Hudson soon left rocker hubby Chris Robinson. Though the bauble was an engagement band, a rep for Wilson said, “Owen’s mother was looking for jewelry for herself.”

It could be true that the visit was just for Wilson’s mom and she cajoled him into checking out the engagement rings. You know how moms can be pushy like that when there are potential grandchildren to be had.

Rachel Zoe issued a response to the news that Nicole Richie fired her as her stylist, basically saying that they’re no longer friends. She kind of couched it in a lot of flowery PR-speak, so it’s hard to tell, but there are some mild disses in there:

Rachel issued the following statement to TMZ: “There has been a lot of speculation as to the cause of my parting with client Nicole Richie. The tabloid reports have no merit. After trying to be a good friend to Nicole, we made a mutual decision to sever our working relationship. Changes are inevitable in any business relationship. I am very fortunate to have such a wonderful life, I have been married for 10 years and have been a stylist for more than 15 years and am lucky to work with such a diverse group of women of all shapes and sizes that inspire me everyday. I have nothing but love for Nicole and wish her only health and happiness.”

Nicole wasn’t having that, and she posted the following “blind item” on her myspace, basically saying that Zoe has an eating disorder and has tried to make it seem as if Nicole is the one with the problem, not her:

I really like the way she wrote that “whispers her order” and “deathly disorder.” She spelled publicist wrong, though. She would make a decent blogger.

Rumor had it that Zoe was dealing drugs to her “girls” and that she encourages them to be stick-thin so that they’ll fit into the tiny samples she gets from designers.

Whatever transpired, Nicole wants everyone to know that she’s over it and that Zoe is the one with an eating disorder, not her. Get to a size six, Nicole, and maybe we’ll believe you.

Nicole is looking good, but maybe she does need some fashion advice, because this Beetlejuice outfit is just not doing it. At least she’s keeping it under wraps though, which is more than I can say for Paris’ other “friends.”
