Bill Gates was on The Daily Show to promote Windows Vista, and he left really quickly before Jon Stewart was even done talking. It’s odd that he would be so busy he would leave the stage like that, but what’s even better is how they parody it the next night.

Reese Witherspoon’s estranged husband Ryan Phillippe was seen out with a striking brunette. At the time of his breakup with Reese de denied rumors of an affair with his costar and Reese-lookalike Abbie Cornish. If there was something going on with them it seems to have ended. Ryan was out at a West Hollywood restaurant with the unknown woman, and took pains to keep a low profile.

The last we heard of Phillippe was when he was spotted buying over $600 worth of high end lingerie and claimed it was for “someone special.”

Phillippe has two movies in production and one in the can called Breach, where he stars as a young FBI agent suspicious of his boss, famed double agent Robert Hanssen, played by Chris Cooper. Laura Linney also stars. Breach is out on February 16.

Let’s hope instead she walks away with a clever little alternative lifestylish sprogg who is gifted with the same hotly angry expression that her girlfriend, Lost actress Michelle Rodriguez, has parlayed into a full on career. Lots of babies do that one very well in the early days … what’s acting for some is just gas for others.

Moobs as they are now called - are apparently sweeping the UK (brooms or mops I wonder and however do they hold them). Obviously an underreported phenom – till now: BBC Radio 4 is taking the bull by the horns … or I suppose taking the bull by the udders. Sometimes what’s good for the goose is entirely rubbish for ganders of good sense. Too many species in that one paragraph, I fear.

What do Tony Blair, Simon Cowell and John McCririck have in common? The answer is Man Boobs, or Moobs as they have been dubbed. They are no longer just the preserve of the older man because in recent studies, men of all ages have cited their bigger breasts as one of their most dreaded areas.

Simon Cowell does seem to advertise his blatantly, often sending them into the room to do reconnaissance well before the rest of him arrives, but then inducing dread in others is his bread and butter. I was unaware that Tony Blair’s moobishness was being cited as another symptom of his remarkable fall from political grace … some folks say you need balls to go to war, but in this case he’s just got Moobs.
