Courtney Love is looking mighty skinny in these posed bikini candids from Hawaii. At first I thought these pictures were old because wasn’t she looking chubby and beat like just last month? It’s possible she had work done and/or has been on a strict diet. A commentor on Oh No They Didn’t notes “she’s been lipo-ed within a inch of her junkie life.” She does get a lot of work done and was recently said to have widened her nose to make it look more natural or something. Still, she must have lost some weight on her own too. The woman seems to yo-yo constantly. The book she’s reading by Candance Bushnell, “Trading Up,” came out in paperback in 2004, so it’s hard to tell if these pics are new.

There was a story earlier in the week that she was making out with randy Bruce Willis at a club. Janet Charlton says that the story is true and that they actually left together:

He was sitting at VIP table when Courtney Love playfully approached him. They had a few laughs and she sat down at his table. Bruce had more drinks and they next time my source looked Courtney was sitting on Bruce’s lap whispering in his ear! Before long they were openly nuzzling and kissing! Source said “If I hadn’t seen it with my own eyes, I wouldn’t have believed it.” (Bruce usually likes young girls) After the show Bruce’s friends were holding a table for him at the after-party upstairs at On The Rox, but Bruce didn’t show up. He was seen slipping out the side door with Courtney!

Rapper Lil’ Jon has been added to the Guinness Book of World Records as the owner of the largest diamond pendant ever. The hip-hop star’s `Crunk Aint Dead’ pendant has weighed in as the globe’s biggest - it’s 7.5 inches tall, six inches wide, and one inch thick.

The impressive diamond accessory, valued at a whopping $500,000, weighs almost 12 pounds and features 73 carats of diamonds - 3,756 genuine round-cut white diamonds set in 18-karat yellow and white gold.

Guinness had no comment on whether this was the crunkiest use of money in human history. The also withheld comment on whether a cool half million is actually the going cost for a music genre’s tombstone. Is the blingification of “Crunk Aint Dead” the ultimate memorial to Dead Crunk? Has Lil John killed Crunk dead with the sheer expository weight of his jewelry?

And the rapper has sent out a challenge to his peers to try and top his feat of bling: “Let’s just see how many rappers try to outdo my pendant and break my record.”

Everyone was saying that Drew Barrymore’s recent hookup, scruffy director Spike Jones, was a kind of dig to his ex wife, Sofia Coppola. Coppola is said to dislike Barrymore and her friends as she based Anna Faris’ ditsy character in her Oscar-winning film, Lost in Translation, on Drew’s BFF, the bitchy now-brunette, Cameron Diaz.

The Enquirer is claiming that Coppola was the person who told Drew she would be perfect for her ex, and that she set them up back when Drew was still with Fabrizio Moretti!

Oscar winner Sofia Coppola - married to Jonze for four years - set up the Charlie’s Angels star with her ex, telling her: “He’s a great guy. You two would rock!” according to a close source.

“It happened when Drew and Sofia got into some serious girl talk at the November Chateau Marmot premiere party for Sofia’s movie Marie Antoinette,” said the close source.

“Sofia knew that Drew was going through rocky times with Fabrizio Moretti, so she told her that when she was ready she knew the perfect guy for her - her ex-husband Spike.”

By February, the 32-year-old actress and Fabrizio had split, and “Drew was ready, so she called Sofia,” revealed the close source.

Drew and Spike started talking by phone, and on Valentine’s Day, Drew was spotted cuddling with the 37-year-old Being John Malkovich director at a club in New York.

Drew and Spike were seen kissing outside The Ivy on March 14th, which must have been a calculated move on their part to announce their relationship. That restaurant is always swarmed with paparazzi.

Spike was said to have showed up unexpected to Drew’s vacation birthday celebration with friends in Hawaii at the end of February. Drew, Cameron, and Spike seem to have enjoyed their island vacation. They were all seen playing on the beach and Cameron and Drew were even photographed smoking a fattie.

Sofia Coppola is happy in her new relationship with a growing family. She and French singer Thomas Mars of the excellent band Air live in Paris with their baby daughter, Romy, who is four months old. She recently called motherhood a “new adventure” and said that “it’s exciting” to care for her new daughter. That’s nice that she wanted to make sure her ex was happy with someone new.

In other Drew Barrymore news, former Sassy and Jane editor Jane Pratt claims to have slept with the actress years ago. Mollygood notes that it sounds like a blatant publicity move on Pratt’s part as she has a new radio show. It’s probably true, but it’s also mighty lame to kiss and tell years afterward.

Britney Spears is reportedly pissed off at Kevin Federline for monopolozing her children now that she’s out of rehab. Kevin is still not allowing her unsupervised visits with the boys, and she is said to be upset that they can’t go back to her place and get watched by one of the nannies:

Britney Spears’ 28 days in rehab hasn’t solved all her problems. Insiders say she is still having issues with her soon-to-be ex-husband, Kevin Federline. Chief among their troubles is her desire to have their sons back. Although Kevin and the boys, 18-month-old Sean Preston and Jayden, 6 months, have visited Britney since she returned home, Kevin won’t let them spend unsupervised time with their mom. In fact, he even kept the boys with him when he traveled to Las Vegas to celebrate his 29th birthday. “She was devastated after Kevin brought them over, but took them with him when he left,” says an insider. “She feels lost and wants her babies with her. She’s been crying nonstop.”

There’s another story in this week’s print edition of In Touch that Kevin and Britney’s divorce is settled, and that he’s going to make out fine.
If In Touch is to be believed, K-Fed won’t just be getting a mere $1 million settlement as was reported earlier.

You may have heard this already, but it’s news to me, probably because I’m not that great with numbers and remember several different stories about Kevin’s divorce deal.

K-Fed is said to be getting:

• Half of the sale of their Malibu house, est. $5 million
• Cash: $2 million
• Half of Britney’s earning’s during their marriage, est. $10 million

  Meanwhile Britney was back at the Century City, CA hospital she visited on Sunday. She is said to have seen “dentist to the stars” Dr. Bill Dorfman yesterday, who has an office there.

  She stayed at the hospital for either two or four hours depending on which account you believe, and her manager attributes it to the same dental problem that was said to have prompted the first visit. With all the cokes she consumed in rehab, it’s not surprising she is having problem with her teeth. She must not have kept much food down, though, because she somehow managed to lose ten pounds.

Katie Holmes is finding her rented mansion with her mother in-law unbearable. Tom’s sister and her two children also live with them, and it’s said to be too much for the new bride to handle. Now Tom is purchasing a new estate with several separate houses, and it should provide Katie some much-needed space:

The problem [with Katie Holmes' five month marriage to Tom Cruise], friends say, is that Tom’s mother, Mary Lee South - who has been living with the couple since they got married - is always around.

“Katie has been dealing with this for several months now and it’s starting to wear on her,” says a pal. “No woman wants her mother-in-law looking over her shoulder, no matter how great the mother-in-law is.”

Mary Lee, 70, used to live in Florida, but she moved to LA - and into her son’s Beverly Hills home - after divorcing her second husband, Joseph South. But she’s not the only person sharing Katie and Tom’s home. Katie told Harper’s Bazaar in March, “We live with my sister-in-law [Cass], her two sons, my mother-in-law and our kids. There’s always something going on in this house.”

The article goes on to say that the whole mixed brood will be moving into a new estate that features three houses. Katie will still be living close to her in-laws, but at least she’ll have some space.

In Touch quotes an insider who says “She accepts his kids Isabella [14] and Conner [12], but she has a real problem with all the added family.”

Katie and Tom were seen visibly upset at each other at one of Connor’s basketball games, and considering that his mother and cousin were with them, there could have been some sort of issue with the family.

There’s a rumor that Katie Holmes is pregnant after one of Tom’s people ordered a custom nursery from exclusive boutique Petit Tresor. She certainly looks like she’s got a bump in the HQ versions I’ve seen of these photos.

Katie is rumored to be planning a children’s clothing line along with her BFF, VIctoria Beckham, who recently moved to LA. People hope to see Katie in Victoria’s new reality series to air on NBC, but it is thought that Tom is discouraging her from playing second fiddle to Posh on the show.

The press is turning against Angelina Jolie and pointing out the sort of half-fibs she’s been spouting in the wake of her adoption of a three year old boy from a Vietnamese orphanage. Angelina was quoted by a Vietnamese paper as saying that she looked forward to staying home with her children. She said “I will stay at home to help Pax adjust to his new life. I have four children and caring for them is the most important thing for me at the moment.”

News outlets were quick to report that Angelina’s booked film schedule wouldn’t leave her much time to stay with her four children. She has several projects lined up and is due to start filming in Prague in April.

Angelina also apologized to Pax for bringing him into the media maelstrom that greets her every time she steps out in public. She said “Photographs and press coverage will make him upset. I’m very worried about that. I would like to say I’m sorry for bringing this into Pax’s life.”

Quite a few people were calling Angelina a hypocrite after she turned around and sold exclusive pictures of her children to People magazine and Hello! in a deal thought to be worth $2 million. It’s possible she was trying to satisfy the public’s interest in her newest child, and thought that she was giving people glossy posed photos in exchange for some privacy in her day-to-day life.

Now comes news that Angelina flew to Chicago alone last Friday to do screen work for her new film, Wanted. She may have been in and out within a day, but still that’s not really staying at home with the kids now is it?

Liz Crokin reports in her Red-Eye column that [Angelina] flew to the Windy City without Brad Pitt and the family Friday to do screen testing for her new flick “Wanted,” according to a set source. The sexy actress is scheduled to shoot most of the scenes for the action movie in Prague within the next few weeks. However, the source said she is expected to film in the Windy City later this summer.

“She’ll be filming a lot of action scenes in cars,” the source told me. While she was here, Jolie test-drove some Dodge Vipers that will be used for the film. The Chicago Film Office could not be reached for comment on Sunday.

When Angie films on location she usually brings the whole family to her movie set. Does this mean we can anticipate Brad, Maddox, Zahara and Pax sightings galore, Liz asks.

Of course women should work outside of the home if they want, and Angelina has a unique job that lets her spend as much time as possible with her kids. She should be careful what she says to the press, or at least clarify her statements. She should have said “I will stay at home at first to help Pax adjust to his new life.” It’s worth noting that we haven’t seen any pictures of Angelina since she returned to the states, and you know that the paparazzi are stalking her every day. She must have made good on her promise to at least shelter Pax from photographers initially.

US Weekly is running a cover story this week titled: “Angelina: Her Twisted Double Life” and they say she’s fighting with Brad and that her children need more stability in their lives.

There’s certainly nothing wrong with the way that Angelina is carrying on with her work commitments, but it seems like too much too soon given her pledge to put her children first.

John Lennon was on a drunken bender in the 1970s during a year and a half separation from Yoko Ono. He was in his early 30s and nearly got the shit kicked out of him for particularly bad - and expensive - behavior. Lennon took a priceless original Matisse painting off the wall at Hugh Hefner’s pad and put out his cigarette on it!

Hef, now 80, recalls how Lennon had accepted an invitation to visit the mansion one Sunday to watch movies and enjoy a Sunday buffet. But because of his personal circumstances, the singer was “in a very bad mood and drinking a good deal.”

Hefner recalls how Lennon “misbehaved a little bit and a couple of my friends took exception to it.

“I didn’t witness it. I was elsewhere in the mansion. He put a cigarette out on a Matisse and one of my friends was gonna…”

Hefner pauses meaningfully and continues: “But he had been drinking. I was a huge fan. He was under a tremendous amount of pressure, very inappropriate pressure, you know, from the government. They were strange times. And Lennon was one of my heroes.”

According to a description of Heffner’s house given by a recent interviewer, the nude painting still hangs in the library of the Playboy mansion - with the cigarette burn clearly visible. I guess if a normal person left a burn in a million plus painting it would destroy the value considerably, but maybe since the legendary Lennon is to blame, the damage is not as great.

Lennon was assisinated on December 8, 1980 at the age of 40.

Following in the footsteps of Angelina and Madonna, Jessica Simpson gave a new Mini-Van to a Mexican orphanage this week.

Last week she bought her controlling father Joe Simpson a Ferrari. This week the pop star has handed officials at a Mexican orphanage the keys to a brand new minivan.

The 26-year-old singer/actress surprised staff and kids at the Casa Hogar Elim orphanage in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico on Sunday when she drove a 2007 Chrysler Town & Country through the gates of the home.

I think that giving to charity is good and even if Simpson did it to get good PR, at least she did it.

However, the white trash in me questions if Jessica is trying to “butter up” the orphanage for a future adoption? After all, foreign babies are the latest Hollywood accessory. What do you think?
