Chris Martin was at a press conference in Mexico City to promote his band Coldplay’s new album produced by Brian Eno. Stereogum breaks down two reports of the event. An AP story has him saying there’s a “genius” track that he can’t talk about it, but feels like everyone has to hear before he dies.

MSNBC’s The Scoop reports on his strange behavior in the face of questions about his wife, Gwyneth. A female reporter asked him if he was ever going to do a duet with Gwyneth and he countered by asking the reporter what her favorite sexual position was. Along with being totally inappropriate, he tried to equate a innocuous question about his wife with one that could get him fired from an office job for sexual harassment. I wonder what his issue was:

“Gwyneth Paltrow must suffer,” opined a writer from Folha de Sao Paulo, according to our translator. “Chris Martin, her husband isn’t one of the nicest persons on earth. At least that’s what it seemed on the 20 minutes press conference.”

The Coldplay frontman was in the South American country, and became especially testy when his famous wife’s name was mentioned

When a woman reporter asked if Martin ever planned to sing a duet with Paltrow, the musician snapped: “What’s your favorite sexual position?”

At one point, Martin reportedly griped that all that matters in music today is that your song becomes a ring tone.

And, according to Folha de Sao Paulo, shortly after Paltrow’s name was mentioned again, Martin stormed out.

Martin is well known for being surly with paparazzi and reporters, and this is nothing new. He’s either pissed that his famous wife is brought up while he’s promoting his band, there’s trouble at home, or a bit of both. I wonder how long these two are going to last. I give it about three to four more months, which I’m sure to get heat for. They’ve got the toddler factor as well as the fame/beauty factor to deal with.

Gwyneth recently told Spanish Vogue that her kids have playdates with Stella McCartney and Madonna’s children. She also mentioned that they like to have some wine after they put the kids to bed. This is similar to another interview in which she said she enjoyed drinking wine in her garden after her kids were asleep.

It was hard to find pictures of Gwyneth and Chris together because even when they’re out together they avoid being photographed as a couple. They once said they want to keep that part of their lives private, but to me it seems like they’re hedging their bets even though they’re married and have kids.

There’s a story that Howard K Stern wanted to auction off a bunch of Anna’s personal items on eBay before she was even buried, but that the auction was shut down by eBay administrators due to the contention over her estate. Since her will is not settled yet, and won’t be for some time, he doesn’t have rights to the stuff and can’t just offload it for some quick cash:

Stern attempted to open an eBay account to hawk the star’s personal items like clothes, jewelry, etc., soruces reveal - but eBay officials decisively blocked the move! With litigation pending on the buxom bombshell’s estate - and as a courtroom battle raged over where she’d be buried - eBay nixed Stern’s auction plans because he simply couldn’t yet prove he’d legally inherited her earthly belongings.

It’s plausible that Stern would do this, because he admitted to the overwrought judge trying to figure out where to bury Anna that he was basically broke and lived hand to mouth off Anna. He also said that Entertainment Tonight was covering his travel, and that he was borrowing money from his parents to get by.

There was that kind of half-robbery from Anna’s squatter mansion by the rightful owners of the estate in the days following her death. Jewelry and clothing were said to be taken, so it’s possible that eBay officials also thought that the items may have been stolen, or that those were the people trying to sell her stuff on eBay, not Stern.

Meanwhile Larry Birkhead showed Access Hollywood the cartoon Anna Nicole tattoo and replica of her signature (link launches automatic video) he has on his lower back. He said Anna asked him to get a tattoo of her likeness and that he said no initially. When he was ready, she said it was ok and he didn’t have to go through with it. He did anyway, and she held his hand while he got the tattoo and kept the sheets that were imprinted with the mark from his tattoo while it was healing.

There’s also a story that Howard K Stern realizes the end of his parentage claim on Dannielynn is near and that he’s trying to get the maybe real father Larry Birkhead to sign a deal that would give him rights to manage the child’s finances before the DNA tests come out. He’s also trying to get Birkhead to do lucrative joint interviews with Entertainment Tonight and The Insider, but so far Birkhead has demurred. He seems to be doing fine with his solo interviews with Access Hollywood.

K-Fed was in Vegas for a paid appearance this weekend, but is maintaining his new hard-fought good dad image and was said to have brought the kids with him and to have tucked them in before going out to dinner. US Weekly says that Britney’s mother is caring for his two children with the troubled bald singer, and seems to suggest they’re back in Malibu, but People has the FedFather bringing them to sin city and kissing them goodnight before he tore himself away to begrudgingly show up at a club opening. By all accounts, he was subdued, didn’t drink too much, and didn’t brag about his bling:

“Kevin was really low key,” one source says. “You could definitely tell he was on his best behavior. He was having a good time, but wasn’t the wild, crazy Kevin who used to come to Vegas.”

He arrived on Saturday with Sean Preston, 18 months, and Jayden James, 6 months, plus a nanny, Federline’s mother and brother, and two bodyguards, sources say.

He had dinner with friends and family at the hotel’s Japonais restaurant, says a source, who adds: “He was late for dinner because he wanted to tuck his kids into bed.”

By midnight, he was relaxing at a VIP table at the Revolution with a group of friends who included Las Vegas comedian Jeff Beacher.

Spears’ rehab ordeal, says a source, has matured Federline.

“He wakes up with a purpose each morning and has enjoyed his family being around him,” says the source.

The guy stands to make millions of dollars if he gets custody of his boys with Britney. He had a custom-made Ferrari worth a quarter of a million, a Maserti worth six figures, and bragged to a journalist about his “watch game” and “kick [shoe] game” being “ridiculous”. He also claimed that if he wasn’t known as Mr. Spears “a couple of the records that I’ve thrown out would’ve probably blown up huge by now.”

He’s managing his image well now, but people don’t change overnight and he only looks good in comparison to his crazy ass wife. His buddies are feeding “good dad” stories to the press. If he gets back with Britney it will be for the lifestyle, not for the kids or for love. I’m not buying it.

Lindsay Lohan said she wanted K-Fed when he was first single. She supposedly called him “sexy,” in an attempt to make Britney (who was hanging out with Paris at the point) jealous, but then refusing to have anything to do with him when he tried to take her up on it. Now she’s set her eyes on another recently-single famous guy, Ryan Phillippe.

Lindsay Lohan’s got the hot-to-trots for Ryan Phillippe. When Mean Grrrl met the “Breach” star at a Hollywood party, she went all zzzZAP-a-deee-doo-dah… but Ryan just yawned, say insiders. Now Lindsay can’t stop mooning over the soon-to-be-eligible hunk, begging mutual pals to tell him she’s dying to hook up - and leaving him non-stop phone messages. But ain’t-tryin’ Ryan hasn’t answered a single call… and insiders say Party Grrl might as well stop pining because Ryan’s told pals: “She is so not my type!”

Yeah, it always works well when you try to get a guy to date you by bugging the shit out of him and telling all your friends about it.

Lindsay Lohan has been quoted as saying that she “heeded” the advice of people telling her to go to rehab and that she was “really sick.”

While she did complete treatment at the Wonderland rehab center, she was allowed to go out to lunch with friends, to go shopping, and to order in food and services like massages and hairstylists.

And it doesn’t quite seem like the rehab took for Lindsay. She’s been making the rounds at Hollywood clubs, and a mother and daughter claim she was visibly impaired when they saw her recently and that she almost ran over them with her car.

A woman who looks a lot like Salma Hayek was pictured paying the meter on her car. The images were credited as Hayek and to me the woman looks pregnant and not like she’s just heavy and wearing an unfortunate dress. The thing is, I wasn’t sure it was Hayek at first as I’m not used to seeing her without makeup. I compared her features with a recent picture of Hayek though and she has the same nose, lips, hair and boobs so it’s possible it’s her.

The last time I remember seeing Salma out was at the Golden Globes about six weeks ago and she looked thinner then and didn’t have any sort of bump. This woman looks pregnant to me.

Is this Hayek and is she pregnant? Would she get big like this in just six weeks? Who is she dating? I haven’t heard of anyone recently.

Salma Hayek’s new film with abusive Jared Leto, Loney Hearts, which is based on murders committed by a couple in the 1940s, is slated for release on April 13th. It also stars John Travolta and James Gandolfini.

And Hayek has taken top prize in the “Best Breasts” category at celebrity nude site Mr. Skin for her topless scene in Ask the Dust.

Update: a commentor on the US website mentions that the serial killer Hayek is playing in Lonely Hearts is meant to be overweight, and that might be why she’s gained weight so quickly. If that movie is indeed slated for release on April 13th, as mentioned above, the weight she gained cannot be for that role as the film has already finished shooting.

Brad, Angelina, and two of their three children were seen out taking a walk near their new home in New Orleans. Angelina recently arrived back in town from a trip that supposedly had her outside of Dafur on a UN peacekeeping mission but may have also involved a jaunt to Vietnam to finalize plans for an adoption of a new boy there. Angelina and Brad’s new adoption has been confirmed by a Vietnamese official and now we’re just waiting to see the tot.

The news of Brad and Angelina’s new adoption may be a smidgeon controversial due to Angelina filing as single status, although I don’t understand all the legal details. Some commentors say that’s standard for unmarried cohabiting couples and that the NY Post is just stirring up trouble by saying she’s getting special favors in her adoption.

There was a recent story that Mischa split up with longterm boyfriend Cisco Adler over the scary nude pictures of the big-balled wonder that came out when the Paris Exposed materials were published. Cisco denied that they had split and played it off like it wasn’t a big deal, calling it “rock and roll” that there were dorky drunken nude pictures of him.

Word is that they’ve now split for good and that Cisco couldn’t deal with Mischa’s moodiness or constant partying.

Rock start Cisco Adler dumped gorgeous Mischa Barton because he was fed up with her mood swings and wild partying.

That’s the real story behind the recent split of the sexy former “O.C.” star the Whitestarr singer, say sources.

When nude photos of hunky Cisco - taken by Paris Hilton - surfaced last month, the Hollywood grapevine jumped to the conclusion that 21 year-old Mischa dropped him..

“But Mischa didn’t care about the photos,” a source told The Enquirer….

“Mischa’s been down since producers killed of her character on ‘The O.C.’ and the show was cancelled.

“She’s had a lot of time on her hands and has filled it with late-night Hollywood parties. It was finally too much even for Cisco to handle - and now Mischa is devastated.”

It’s true at least that Mischa and Cisco are broken up again as her publicist said they have “decided to part ways… they both have very demanding schedules.”

So it seems that whatever the reason, they’re through again. I like to think that Mischa can do better, but given the latest scruffy guy she was photographed with while smoking pot, I doubt she’s attracted to the clean cut type.

Mischa has been in Paris attending fashion week with her mother while her recent ex Cisco was seen out with Lindsay Lohan. I hope they’re just friends. If Cisco’s hanging with Lindsay it’s probably not true that he dumped Mischa for partying.

Anne Hathaway told a British radio station that Jake Gyllenhaal politely asked if he could touch her boobs during a sex scene for Brokeback Mountain to make it seem more authentic. At first I didn’t believe the quote since it sounds too British and reporting paper The Sun is not too reliable. They give the source as Heart radio, which has the video interview with Hathaway on their website. She really did say this, including “get my kit off” and she makes Gyllenhaal seem really reluctant and nice about asking to touch her boobs:

She told radio station Heart: “Sometimes you work with actors, and they can be lovely guys, but they have kind of dodgy instincts when it comes to kissing in scenes.

“They want to try to make it look a bit too real if you know what I mean.

“With James [McAvoy, her co-star in the upcoming film Becoming Jane,] right before we started he turned to me and said ‘closed mouths, no tongue’ and that’s what I normally say to people - so it was a pleasure.”

Anne then cheekily added: “There was this scene in Brokeback Mountain where I get my kit off and I’m in the car with Jake Gyllenhaal and he’s touched my shoulder and he’s touched my stomach and he’s touched around my back. Everywhere except for, you know, ‘the girls’.

“So the director yells cut and we go behind a screen and I’m putting my clothes back on and Jake comes up to me and says: ‘Annie, the thing is, the scene, in real life I would… and the director’s not yelling cut, so… can I?’

“I just turned to him and said: ‘It’s okay Jake, yes, you can touch my boobs.’”

Hathaway is promoting her new film about British author Jane Austen, Becoming Jane. She told the interviewer that when guys try to slip her the tongue during an onscreen kissing scene she just closes her teeth and reminds them not to do it next time.

Although she didn’t mention it in this interview, Hathaway said last summer that Stanley Tucci elbowed her in the chest repeatedly while they were filming The Devil Wears Prada and then blamed her for it.

Ever wonder what David Faustino, the actor who played Bud Bundy on “Married with Children” was up to? Me either, but the guy owns a medical marijuana clinic in Reseda, California and he’s proportedly using it to obtain the best pot for his personal stash. What’s more, the friend he started the clinic with says that Bundy waited until he took a vacation and then pulled some sneaky legal tricks to cut him out of the business.

Dude, you stole my marijuana clinic! Those are the angry words of Jared Long, a California- and Oregon-based entrepreneur who claims former “Married… with Children” star David Faustino swiped his budding medical marijuana clinic.

As the Enquirer exclusively reported in October, David - who played teenager Bud Bundy on the hit sitcom - had turned his pot smoking hobby into a thriving business in Reseda, California.

But in an exclusive Enquirer interview, Jared insists the actor cheated him out of ownership of the clinic.

Jared maintains the business was his idea and that David bought into the company after a location had been leased.
“At first, things were great. David told me he bought into the business so he could get the best quality herb for his own personal use,” said Jared….

“He loved to smoke Silver Kush, a top quality grade of herb. He would smoke it in the back room, although it’s illegal, using pipes and bongs we had back there…”

When Jared was out of town, David took out a sublease on the property and changed the name from Nature Care to Natural Care Collective.

“He said because I wasn’t there to run the company and I missed a business meeting, he didn’t owe me anything for kicking me out… I’m going to sue him,” said Jared.

Here’s the MySpace for David Faustino’s Natural Care Collective medicinal marijuana clinic. (Warning for work: contains big pictures of pot. Their website is just plain and safe for work.) The pictures on their myspace are captioned with stuff like “Med’s……mmmmmmm,” “Candy. Candy. Candy.” and “Come: see, smell, then go home and PARTAKE…” They sure hype the herb and it doesn’t seem geared for cancer and glaucoma patients. They say that they’re “dedicated to providing safe access to medication for qualified patients suffering from: AIDS, Cancer, Chronic Pain, Insomnia, Anxiety, and many other illnesses,” and give out numbers to call if you need more info about prescriptions.

That’s cold if Bud shut out the guy who started the clinic once he went on vacation.

Faustino has appeared in several straight to DVD pot comedies, including 2001’s Killer Bud and 2006’s Puff, Puff, Pass starring Danny Masterson and directed by Mekhi Phifer of ER fame.

Scarlett Johansson stars in new ads for Reebok, in which she promotes a line named after her that she helped design. The line is named “Scarlett ‘Hearts’ Rbk,” and is meant to be a “fashion-forward, athletic-inspired footwear and apparel signature collection.”
