I’m kind of confused over the Britney Spears and Kevin Federline divorce settlement now. I reported that it would cost her $17 million according to In Touch, but then TMZ was touting her iron-clad prenup and claiming K-Fed would only get a measly million, which US Weekly disputed.

Now MSNBC’s The Scoop is saying that K-Fed is going to make out better than expected with $13 million and custody of the boys four out of seven days of the week. They also say that Britney and Kevin had some good-natured jabs at each other while hashing out their settlement and that Britney called Kevin her “biggest mistake.” This seems to have come after K-Fed shot her down when she asked him if he really wanted to go through with the divorce. They also say that K-Fed was playing Britney by making it seem like they would get back together to try to give her incentive to finish rehab:

“Do you really want to do this?” Spears asked K-Fed as the two met to discuss final details of their divorce, reports to the upcoming issue of the tab.

K-Fed said yes, and his estranged wife replied, “You’re the biggest mistake I’ve ever made, but thank you for my babies.”

Then the two puffed on cigarettes for a 15-minute smoking break, then hashed out the financial terms of their split, according to Star.

The tabloid also claims that Federline led Spears to believe that the two would get together after she got out of rehab so because he wanted to encourage her to stay in the treatment center.

Among the details, according to the tab:

A 2004 pre-nup called for K-Fed to get $250,000 for each year of their marriage, but Spears upped that figure to $500,000 to speed up the negotiations.

He receives half the proceeds from their Malibu mansion, which is on the market for $13.5 million.

$25,000 a month in child support for each of the couple’s two children until they reach 18. He also gets custody of the boys four days a week.

Federline gets to keep all the gifts Spears bought them during their marriage.

He’s forbidden from writing a tell-all about their marriage.

25k a month in child support is more than Diddy shells out for two of his kids, but then K-Fed is going to get the boys for most of the week. It looks like Britney’s public freak out did cost her something.

There are stories in this week’s Enquirer and Star magazines that Britney’s boys didn’t recognize their bald mom and that they seemed scared of her when she returned after a month away at rehab:

When Britney was reunited with [her boys], her heart was shattered.

She didn’t put on a wig to cover the hair she’d shaved off in a headline-making emotional break-down - and Sean looked frightened.

“He wouldn’t stay in her lap,” revealed a source.

“I think Sean was scared of her and wanted his Dad. It was as if the kids didn’t recognize her!

“Britney started crying and told Kevin: ‘I am ugly and Sean hates me.’

“It was her worst nightmare come true…

“After her first visit with the boys, Kevin was upset that Britney freaked out. So for the second visit, he sent the kids with a bodyguard and nanny to Britney’s place.

“But Britney says that Sean cried when she tried to hold him. And when she tried to talk to Jayden, he started crying and made a sad face.”

That’s sad for Britney and all, but given how much we’ve seen her out since she got out of rehab it’s not like she’s trying to make it up to her kids for being away. Considering how much she’s worth, that settlement seems fair. To a guy like K-Fed it must be like winning the lottery.

Britney met with agents at the William Morris agency yesterday. They say she has no goal for her career, but is full of scattered ideas.

Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones’ six and a half year marriage might be in trouble. There’s a story that they’re fighting over their careers. What’s more is that Catherine was seen holding a co-star’s hand while Michael was quoted joking that he wants to get a film role in which he can kill his wife.

The source is Britian’s Grazia Magazine, though, and they’re notorious for making up shit. At first I read this on Splash News and did some working preparing the post or else I wouldn’t bother to report it. The only paper that I could find that covered the Grazia report was Metro, UK and now they’ve removed their article on it, so take it for what it is.

Catherine Zeta Jones was spotted eating alone yesterday days after a long term friend of the star spoke out to a UK magazine sparking rumours that the stars eight year [sic - they married in November, 2000] marriage could be trouble. Catherine who is married to Michael Douglas, has reportedly experienced more downs in her marriage of late than ups. Their most recent row being in New York during a ceremony when Michael accepted the role of an ambassador with the UN. Catherine reportedly was in tears.

Strains have also developed due to Micheal’s happiness for a quiet life at home, while Catherine has strong desires to make another film and earn another Oscar. Rumours were fuelled further when Catherine recently held the hand of her co star from No Reservations at an awards show in Miami, days after Michael joked he’d like to star in a movie with his wife so he could do away with her.

It’s probably true that Catherine was seen holding a co-star’s hand and that Michael made that joke about killing her, but I doubt there’s anything more to this story. If Catherine was crying when Michael accepted a UN ambassadorship it probably means she was proud of him or touched.

Catherine Zeta-Jones, 37, and Michael Douglas, 62, have made their marriage work since November, 2000 despite a 25 year age difference. They have two children together, a son Dylan who will be seven in August, and a daughter Carys who turns four on April 20th. Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas share the same birthday of September 25th.

I was amazed that she hooked up with him back when they first got together, and wouldn’t be overly surprised if they split up, but it doesn’t seem like there’s much to this story.

In Touch Weekly reports that Rumer Willis (Bruce and Demi’s little girl) is going to be starring in her first movie called Seducing Spirits:

My first reaction when I read this was “Why?!”, and usually when I react like that to something it isn’t a good sign of things to come. Rumer is one of those celebrity offspring who party hard on the Hollywood scene with Lindsay Lohan–she’s done a bit of acting with Demi in Striptease when she was younger, but it was hardly method acting from what I remember of her role in the film. Apparently she dropped out of the University of Southern California and not been doing much since then.

I really hope I am proven wrong about Rumer Willis’s acting abilities. Maybe she and Bruce can be like the new Henry and Jane Fonda of our generation. Here’s hoping.

The YouTube clip has been making the rounds on the web, with Pete singing a song to the camera with Kate shouting choice gems such as “Rot in jail, you c***” and “Oi, ****face!” to her paramour. According to British tab The Sun, the clip is to be used as part of an “arty documentary” they are creating:

PETE DOHERTY and KATE MOSS are making a video diary about their life together.

The rocker and his supermodel lover have been recording hours of personal footage on a camcorder and plan to turn it into an arty documentary.

A source told me: “They think it’s cool and romantic, like something JOHN LENNON and YOKO ONO would have done.“But in reality it’s all rather embarrassing and far more JORDAN and PETER ANDRE.”

Having seen the clip (strictly for research purposes), I can say that Kate acts a bit like my five year old daughter after we’ve been walking around shops for a while and she is bored, annoyed and attention-starved. Kate attempts to kick Pete a couple of times and shouts at him for being a liar when he sings a lyric about sitting by an oak tree. She has an adult equivalent of a tantrum on tape, and it makes for funny viewing.

I’m surprised Kate has let the YouTube clip online, and even more shocked that she would agree to an “arty documentary” on her life with Pete–Kate has always come across as a celeb who likes to retain an air of mistique around her, and this clip surely doesn’t do that image any favors. However, I doubt this will hurt her professionally. She’s dating an admitted heroin addict, for goodness sake, and got caught doing coke by a Brit tabloid, for which she then proceeded to have her most profitable year to date.

I thought I would add my two cents about the Out cover. Although I don’t think the “Jodie Foster is a lesbian” story is going to come as a surprise to anyone (I think that lesbian ”secret” has been out for so long that I would have been more shocked if she appeared on the cover of an In magazine), I am disturbed to see her on the cover of Out nevertheless. I would have surely thought she would have gotten wind that this was going to hit the stand and had her legal reps pull the cover, or at least have them tell Out to let Jodie get first approval so she can put her own spin on her coming out of the closet.

I really don’t think this story is going to die anytime soon and am expecting lots of denials and lawsuits being thrown everywhere when Jodie and Anderson snap to–they do have have their reputations to protect as a leading lady and a super journalist, respectively. It’s a shame really, because I had never heard of Out magazine until this morning and if they did “out” them (no pun intended) intentionally without their approval, giving them extra publicity for their actions will just spur them on to do this to another hapless celebrity pair just to up their magazine subscriptions.

One doctor is responsible for prescribing all 11 drugs found in Anna Nicole’s suite at the time of her death. The psychiatrist who said she heard Anna plead “don’t leave me” while taking a bath during their last meeting, Dr. Khristine Eroshevich, may have had a personal relationship with Anna but like her other hangers-on she was all too willing to enable her drug habit. The prescriptions were under three different names, and none were prescribed to Smith. Eight were for Howard K. Stern, one was under Erozhevich’s name, and two were written out to an unknown person, Alex Katz, which may have been an alias.

What’s more is that over 600 pills were missing from prescriptions that were under 5 weeks old. It is not known if Anna took all the pills or if someone disposed of them at some point:

_ Chloral hydrate, the sleep medication blamed as the leading causing of Smith’s death, was prescribed Jan. 2. About two-thirds of the bottle was gone, according to records, which also show 62 tablets of Valium missing from a two-week-old prescription.

_ Records show Smith had two prescriptions for the muscle relaxant carisoprodol, prescribed Jan. 2 and Jan. 26, and one for methocarbamol (aka Robaxin), prescribed Jan. 2. Some 415 of the carisoprodol pills were missing as well as 33 of the Robaxin pills.

_ Also missing were 79 tablets of anti-seizure meds Topomax and Klonopin and at least two dozen diuretics, antibiotics and antivirals.

Amazingly, the documents did not mention the methadone or the Ativan found in Smith’s system. Nor was there mention of who prescribed Smith human growth hormone, which she was said to have been taking about the time of her death.

According to those numbers, if all of those pills were consumed by Anna, each day she would have had to take about: (I am counting the day the drugs were prescribed as well as the day she died)

• 4.5 Valium

• Nearly 12 muscle relaxants
• About two anti-seizure drugs (although it is unclear when these were prescribed)
• Along with the sleeping medication chloral hydrate and methadone, if she was still on that

This seems possible to me given how incoherent she sounded in interviews, although other people around her may have been helping themselves to the prescriptions. It’s also possible that someone who was in her hotel room that morning got rid of some of the pills. It doesn’t make sense that someone would dispose of some of the pills and not all of them, though. Howard K. Stern was said to have flushed pills down the toilet after Daniel’s death, according to a witness. I should be careful pointing the finger at that litigious creep. It is thought that he is planning on suing a bunch of high-profile reporters that have been openly calling him a murderer and suspicious character.

Meanwhile that unlikely other baby-daddy, Prince Von Asshat or whatever, really has filed a defamation suit against Bill O’Reilly for calling him a fraud for claiming paternity of Dannielynn.

It is thought that the DNA results showing Dannielynn’s real father will be announced next week. Howard K. Stern has not provided DNA and was not able to substantially stall the paternity case.

Another day, another opportunity for James Haven Voight to give an “exclusive” on what life with his sister Angelina is like. (Is it just me that thinks that it’s really weird that he’s giving all these “exclusives” on his sis all of the sudden? I wonder if they have fallen out, or he needed the cash or something).

Today’s Brangelina revelation comes from Grazia magazine, and I am really going to take this Shiloh name story with a pinch of salt. Grazia is also publishing a highly unbelievable quickie Brangelina marriage story on the same week that Star and other publications are running break up stories on the photogenic couple.

During our interview, James finally explains the mystery of the name Shiloh–his own parents had destined it for him, as a middle name, before he was born (both he and Angelina have now dropped Voight completely due to the fallout with their father).

‘At the last second, my parents gave me Haven instead,’ he says. ‘So it was very cool when Brad and Angie came to me and said: “We’re thinking of names and out favourite is Shiloh. We know that was your original name, so would that be OK?”

‘I was almost in tears–I was so honoured.’

Again, this may story may be true as Grazia quotes James Haven as their direct source, but I’ll keep my reservations on how factual this story is to myself. I do think it’s funny that he is proclaiming contemporaneous ties to the name Shiloh, and that Brad and Angelina had to ask him if they could use his “original” name. My mother was going to name me Heidi before she settled on my name, and I’ve yet to have people come up and ask me if they can name their little girl Heidi. Then again, Heidi doesn’t sound half as unique and swish as Shiloh, I suppose.

In a new interview with Sunday supplement Parade magazine, Tobey Maguire reveals his difficult childhood. He’s matter of fact about it, but it must have been painful for him and he seems quite grateful for his fame. He also sounds like he’s not secure in his immense wealth and Hollywood career and expects the other shoe to drop at any time:

Only 3 when his parents – who were 18 and 20 when he was born – split, the actor, 31, tells Parade magazine in this weekend’s issue that he nevertheless considers himself “not a victim. … They were just babies, doing whatever the heck they thought they should be doing.”

Bounced from one family member to the next as he was growing up, “I always felt that there were people in my life who cared about me – that I was special to them. It’s very complicated,” he says.

“But the truth of the matter is I realized at a young age that I was responsible for myself. My feelings of love or security or happiness – they were all in my own hands. I had plenty of difficult, emotional and scary times as a kid, but I don’t dwell on it.”

Still, the new dad admits to aftereffects. “Growing up the way I did, I had a very serious ambition to make some money, to have some security and comfort in my life,” says the star, whose Spider-Man 3 opens May 4….

Granted, he also admits, “My mentality about that has changed a bit. [But] I feel like you could drop me anywhere in the world, anonymously, and I’d figure out how to survive. If you stripped away everything I’ve got – the money, the fame, the possessions, everything – I know that I’d find a way to get along, because, basically, that’s what I’ve had to do all my life.”

He says he was very guarded with his newfound wealth at first but that he’s gradually learned to enjoy it. Maguire also says that he might want to find a different city to raise his five month old daughter, Ruby, with fiance Jennifer Myer. He says LA is laid back but that it’s also competitive and there might be a better place for his new family.

I kind of assumed that he was the type of privileged young kid that is able to get a Hollywood career through connections, and it’s refreshing to hear that he made it on his own despite such hardship. Now I know why he seems so mature beyond his years. He did have a phase of going out partying with Leonardo DiCaprio, and Tobey hasn’t been so kind to the paps, but he didn’t go buck wild either from what I remember. He’s a very good actor and was particularly skilled as the troubled jockey in Seabiscuit. He must have had a lot of experience to draw on for that role.

She just had a baby and she looks damn good to me. You also often see her out with her child, so it’s not like she’s handing the baby off to a nanny all day. Jennifer Myer is a successful jewelry designer and is the daughter of Universal Studios head Ron Meyer.

Usually when I read about celebrity stalkers, they are usually swiftly caught, reprimanded and never heard from again. I presume they send the hard core stalkers to rehab facilities to cure them of their obsessive tendencies–everyone’s going to rehab nowadays so why not people who actually need the help?

I came across an article on New Zealand website www.stuff.co.nz about a “stalker” being arrested at Tom Cruise’s home. Ok, I think to myself, just another delusional fan taking their love of their token celebrity a bit too far. It doesn’t end there, though: the lady who was arrested at Cruise’s home, Emily Diane Leatherman, apparently has the same name and age as the stalker John Cusack had arrested last July:

Tom Cruise could be the latest target of a celebrity stalker.

Emily Diane Leatherman, 32, was arrested last Thursday after turning up unannounced at Cruise’s Beverly Hills home.

Leatherman claimed that the Top Gun star’s staff had given her permission to meet him.

John Cusack won a three-year restraining order against a woman with the same name and age last July, accusing her of showing an “unusual interest” in him.

He claimed Leatherman threw love letters, rocks and screwdrivers into his garden.

Cusack also said Leatherman visited his home unannounced.

At the time, Leatherman said she was trying to contact Hollywood stars like Cusack because she wanted to bring attention to the fact she was raped years ago.

The Beverly Hills Police Department has refused to confirm if the person arrested on Thursday was the same woman who targeted Cusack.

Leatherman was arrested at Cruise’s home on suspicion of receiving stolen property and violating a restraining order.

It sounds like Cruise already had a restraining order against her from the last sentence of this article, and if that is so it means she must have been harrassing Cruise for a while for him to feel he needed an order against her. It is not known whether TomKat or baby Suri were at home when Ms. Leatherman was arrested.

The bit I am a puzzled about is the fact that Leatherman has the same name and age as the lady arrested in the Cusack stalking case, but no one wants to acknowledge if the women involved are one in the same. It’s too odd a coincidence for there to be two 32 year-old stalkers named Emily Diane Leatherman “terrorising” male celebs in Hollywood.

If it is the same lady harassing both Cusack and Cruise, it’s obvious the restraining orders are not serving as deterrents to her actions, so some harsher penalty will have to be put in place to control what she is doing. I’m a big fan of Cusack (not a fan of Cruise at all, however), and it would be a shame if her behavior were to spiral out of control and something horrible happened.

I’m going to keep my eye out for an update confirming if indeed there are two Leatherman stalkers, although I think you guys may have come to the same conclusion as me that they are in fact same person.
