Britney really doesn’t have much left to use when it comes to getting attention. She’s already played out tactics such as dressing super ugly, changing her hair color frequently, showing her boobs and/or crotch, and revealing her youngest child. Just about the only thing left for Britney to do to get attention is to lay low to focus on her singing, emerging months later with talent and a strong urge to work hard. Since that takes time and willpower and she has the attention span of a small child, that seems unlikely.

She still refuses to take advice from anyone, and is said to be considering filing a restraining order against her mother.

The latest issue of the National Enquirer has Britney begging her mom to help her get K-Fed back, so maybe she’s mad at her due to that, or maybe it’s because her mom is now friends with K-Fed’s ex Shar, as was previously speculated.

Britney has told Lynne [her mother] she’s cutting her out of her will - and life unless Lynne can talk K-Fed into taking her back!

At a June 10 meeting, Britney told her mom: “Get Kevin back, or you’re out for good!” said a source.

When Lynne asked what she could do “right away” to help her daughter get her life back on track. Brit responded: “Bring Kevin back to me. Help change Kevin’s mind about me.”

That could be true as Britney seems desperate enough to try to get her mom to talk to K-Fed for her, but who really knows. She’s still pulling dumb stunts like this, so it’s possible to believe just about anything at this point.

Oceans 13 cougar Ellen Barkin was seen making out with Ralph Fiennes at a NY hotel. A week later, the two were seen at the same hotel holding hands and going up to Fiennes’ room together. It looks like a new romance for the randy British actor and the ex-wife of a cheating billionaire.

ELLEN Barkin, who was so hot and bothered in “Ocean’s Thirteen,” might be getting some relief with Ralph Fiennes. Late Sunday night, our spies caught them at the Mercer, “holding hands and cuddling before going up to his room.” A week earlier, they had been “full-on making out,” also at the hotel. The ex-wife of Ronald Perelman should be aware: Fiennes was warned to take an HIV test after he had unprotected sex with a Qantas stewardess on a flight to India. Reps for both didn’t return calls.

Fiennes and Barkin were linked back in December, 2006, but haven’t been seen out much together before this latest report.

Back in February, 2007 Fiennes made headlines when a Qantas stewardess admitted to having sex with him in an airplane bathroom. She first claimed Fiennes seduced her and then admitted she led him into the bathroom for a quickie. Fiennes called her once he was on the ground and summoned her to his hotel for another go. It turns out the woman once worked as a prostitute.

Ellen Barkin seems more Fiennes’ style. In 1996 he left wife Alex Kingston for Francesca Annis, who is 18 years older than him. That relationship ended after a 31 year-old Romanian singer admitted to a two year affair with the actor. Fiennes is 44 and Barkin is 53, so maybe she’ll be his steady and he’ll find something younger on the side.

Singer Christina Aguilera wants to try her hand at acting, Yahoo reports. The 26 year old singer started off her career in the spotlight in 1993 when she appeared on the Disney show ‘The New Mickey Mouse Club’, alongside Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears and Keri Russell. Her major singing break came when she was chosen to record ‘Reflection’ for Disney’s ‘Mulan’, landing a recording contract the same week.

Currently, Christina is on tour with her ‘Back to Basics’ album, an album inspired by her love of soul and jazz. She just played in Shanghai, China, her first time performing in the country. Some were surprised that the Chinese Government let Aguilera perform, as they have been known to not allow some people if they are too “vulgar”, for example, like Jay-Z. Christina’s 2002 album “Stripped” was a lot more risky, but I guess since she is “Back to Basics” she is okay.

At a press conference in China, Aguilera talks to reporters about breaking into the acting world:

“I am looking forward to moving into another form of what I feel is another creative outlet for me and that would be acting…It is something that, when I attempt to do it, I want to do it right so it’s important for me that I do choose the right first role for myself.”

While there are many rumors as to what role she would take, such as the role of burlesque dancer Tempest Storm in a biopic, IMDB has no forth coming projects for her. She is credited as an uncredited voice in the animated flick Shark Tale.

Also, it is said that in 2008 Christina will be receiving her very own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

I’m not going to pass any judgment here. It can be very sketchy when singers try to be actors, and vice versa…remember Crossroads?! However, as an entertainer myself I like to believe I could cross fields, and so I say you never know till you see it. I would love to see Christina kick ass in the film world. She has always impressed me with her killer voice, and the fact that she went against the grain to get rid of her bubble gum image. I think she is very successful at reinventing herself so if anyone, I think she could do it.

17 year old Daniel Radcliffe, otherwise known as boy wizard Harry Potter, had no problem filming the kiss scene in the new Harry Potter film, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, reports Pearl and Dean.

As you may recall, Radcliffe made his West-End Debut in London playing a troubled teenager in the controversial play, Equus (which is an amazing play if any of you get the chance to see it and/or read it). His role required full frontal nudity. After accomplishing this, a little kiss scene didn’t seem like a big deal. PAD reports Radcliffe as saying, “Once you’ve been on stage naked in front of 1,000 people you really feel you can do most anything without inhibition.”

The kissing scene in the new Potter film is said to be quite sweet, with it taking place under the mistletoe at Hogwarts. Potter kisses Cho Chang, his love interest in the film. Cho Chang, is played by British actor Katie Leung, was said to be more nervous about what her parents will think. They reportedly had to do 30 takes of the scene, hope they brought their chap stick!!

I give Radcliffe a lot of credit for the direction he is taking his career. In a role like Harry Potter, it could be easy for him to never be known as anything else. I admit that pretty much every time his name is mentioned there is a Potter reference in there, but I love the fact that he chose to do real, hard-core theatre, because Equus isn’t an easy play to watch, let alone act (naked!) in. IMDB has him filming more Harry Potter movies, but also some other films including December Boys (2007) and My Boy Jack, which is in pre-production. The Harry Potter franchise can’t last forever, so it’s nice to see him establishing himself as a real actor, so that when he “grows up” he can be more than just a wizard.

Remember this video of Will Ferrell and an adorable potty-mouthed toddler?? Well, they are back with another hilarious little video. This one entitled Good Cop, Bad Cop, sees the little toddler kicking butt and laying down the law.

Ferrell made the video with long time business partner Adam McKay, and it is McKay’s daughter Pearl who plays the 2 year old with an attitude.

I think these videos are hilarious. I admit this one is not nearly as good as the first but they are fun and original. Apparently Pearl is retiring, which is probably for the better. At 2, she’s still a little young to be clubbing and going to rehab, so perhaps if she retires now then we can avoid the scandal that is most teenage/early adult crazy wild starlets.

Besides this video, Ferrell has two films on the go for 2008, one in post production and one in pre production, according to IMDB. I like Will a lot. He makes me laugh. I like seeing him in less straight on funny roles, like the character he played in Stranger Than Fiction. This guy sure has some major talent, so I always like to see what he is up to.

Sinead O’Connor has mellowed out on her latest music release, “Theology,” her first since declaring that she’d quit the business in 2003, and her first album with original songs in ten years.

“Theology” is a religious-themed double album with one CD featuring acoustic versions of songs, most based on passages from the Old Testament, and the other with those same tracks performed with a full band. There are three covers on the album of songs from Curtis Mayfield, Boney M and hooray - a musical.

O’Connor has changed a lot since the infamous incident on Saturday Night Live in 1992 in which she ripped up a picture of Pope John Paul II. In a recent interview with Beliefnet, she speaks candidly about her religion. She says she still considers herself a Catholic, but that she’s inspired by other religions, including the Rastafari movement, Hinduism and Judaism.

When asked about how her album is “an attempt to create peace in time of war,” O’Connor answers:

The world has become a very frightened and frightening place. The existence of war is proof of the absolute lack of contact with God, and that is something I see as having got a lot worse. We’re all affected by what happened on Sept. 11 because all over the world there are countries at risk because of involvement in the war. In the case of the British people and the American people, they can’t walk down the street without being frightened, with very good reason, that something dreadful might happen…

The people of any country should be asked and polled whether that is what they want, because they’re going to be at risk. That’s what has happened since Sept. 11–people all over the world have been put into a lot of danger by both sides, by Islam and by Christianity. I suppose musically that’s what I’m saying– that behaving like that, they’ve both misrepresented their God.

A Christian is supposed to say “What would Jesus do?” Jesus wouldn’t be killing anyone and sending bombs on anyone. I do understand, of course, that people have to be protected. But while protection is going on, at the same time there should be Christian negotiations going on to see how can these things be fixed with love.

I suppose all of us are complicit in what’s happening if we are doing nothing at all about it. All I can do is make records, and I hope this record would make someone think that perhaps God is not an angry, punishing, warmaking God and is in fact a gentle and compassionate God who actually is upset at the loss of us.

O’Connor says it’s time for a comeback because she’s tired of being a full time mom. She has four children by different fathers that range in age from 6 months to 20 years old. Her 11 year-old daughter, Rowan, didn’t even know she was a musician.

When asked what she thinks of the current Pope Benedict XVI, she says “I don’t know anything about him, to be honest. I actually couldn’t tell you anything about him. I don’t watch television because I’ve got four kids and they have the TV on the the whole time watching kiddie programs until 9 o’clock at night, so I don’t get to see much of the world.”

Gigwise says that O’Connor’s album features her strong vocals, but “lacks her usual ache and bite and zip.” It seems that O’Connor’s music has just evolved with her, and is something one might expect from a spiritual mother of four rather than the angry O’Connor of 15 years ago.

The baby reaching for the dangling buck on the iconic album cover “Nevermind: from Nirvana will turn 16 on July 9th. Little Spencer Elden was photographed swimming in a pool and the dollar on the fishing line was added later. Elden’s family were friends of the photographer hired by Nirvana to shoot the cover, and were paid about $200 for their son’s photograph.

In a September 2006 interview in NME, Elden said that he was proud to be a part of such a great album, and that the band’s songs don’t get old:

“Nevermind is fifteen years old now, but you still hear the singles being played on the radio and it just doesn’t sound dated. Most bands around today can’t even get near to what Nirvana did on that album, and I’ll always be happy to be a part of it.”

Elden recreated the album cover in 2002 for an article in Rolling Stone that discusses how influential Nirvana was in changing the scope of popular music and how timeless all of the tracks are.

When “Nevermind” came out I was in college, and I remember my friends singing “Smells Like Teen Spirit” as that was a hit single at the time. I missed an opportunity to see Nirvana play at my school around that time and will probably always regret it. It’s nice to see that they’re still remembered and that Nirvana influenced more than just my generation.

Rosie O’Donnell isn’t afraid of a fight - taking on Elizabeth Hasselbeck and Donald Trump during her time on The View – but now she’s protesting the fighting in Iraq, using this picture of her daughter on her official blog.

The picture has created a storm of controversy, the Sydney Morning Herald reports:

US celebrity and anti-war activist Rosie O’Donnell has been labelled “sick” and “hungry for public attention” after posting a photo on her blog of her four-year-old daughter dressed as a child soldier.

The controversial image of Vivienne is accompanied by a video called “dress up”.

The video begins with the headline, “Last Year a Princess”, and shows pictures of the youngster wearing various princess-like outfits.

Then the headline, “This Year a Soldier” appears, followed by a series of images of Vivienne in camouflage clothing, with a toy ammunition belt wrapped around her shoulder.

The video ends with the message “Peace Out” and a close-up shot of Vivienne’s eye.

In other news, Rosie has also announced she won’t be taking over from Bob Barker on The Price is Right. She is a fan of the show, and would do it if it weren’t for having to relocate her family to Los Angeles from New York.

I don’t know what Rosie plans to do next, but if she keeps making these great video blogs, there is a real future for her as a You Tube superstar.

Katherine Heigl plays a doctor in training on “Grey’s Anatomy” and is drawing on her experience to design clothing for healthcare professionals. She’s going to put out her own line of healthcare uniforms including scrubs called the “Katherine Heigl Collection.”

Heigl says that she wants to help women add style and personality to their uniforms, and that she has a lot of respect for people who work in the healthcare field:

“I have tremendous respect for women in the healthcare industry and I know that it is often a difficult and thankless job,” the actress said.

“I wanted to create a line of scrubs that would allow women to infuse some of their personality and style into their work apparel. When you feel good about how you look, you are more confident, more motivated and it can lift your spirits,” she added.

The company she is working with, Peaches Uniforms, already has a line of clothing out called “Izzy Scrubs,” which seems to be named after her character Izzy on “Grey’s Anatomy.”
