Taye Diggs and Idina Menzel are like the unsung heroes of making a relationship work in Hollywood, and they rarely get the credit. They’ve been together since 1995, when they were both on Broadway, doing Rent. They dated for seven years, married in 2003, and Idina gave birth to their son Walker last September – Walker will be one year old on the 2nd. So… Taye and Idina have been together for fifteen years, and they still enjoy each other’s company, they’re still close, they still make trips to the Farmer’s Market together. Pretty cool, right? So why don’t they get any credit? Is it because you really don’t hear either of them talking about their relationship that much? Or is it because they don’t really have the kinds of careers where every detail of their relationship is over-analyzed? I don’t know.
Anyway… little Walker is a cutie, isn’t he? He looks like both of them, equally. He’s going to grow up and be a total heartbreaker, you know it.

You pretty much summed it up. They are what you call in Hollywood working parents. If they want to be exposed, they could arrange it. There are just some people where you get the feeling that it is random family outing photos caught by the paps and there are ones that are just calculated, Cough*Jennifer Garner* Cough. I like them both and he is the only reason I tolerate Private Practice.

I LOVE TAYE!!!! I personally think that people aren’t as fast to give strong, loving interracial couples the credit they deserve…not trying to make this about race but it IS something people still are kind of touchy talking about.

I completely agree. They really have worked hard in their relationship. 15 year is not joke and having the added pressure of this business as well? I commend them. They dated for 7 years before they married. And then they were married for 7 years before they had their first child. They have their own careers and ambitions.

A few months ago there were pictures of him leaving with a car full of women. But I’m guessing his wife saw them so there is probably an explanation for that.

I don’t know about his relationship/family status but what i do know is that his body is rockin. went to school at SU with him – he was in a band back then and liked to perform shirtless… hot damn! i’ve talked with him up close and he is gorgeous.
A lot of those “cheating pictures” are of him with some of their friends. Never mind that other people were in the car or walking right along with those women. But of course a married man hanging out publicly with women other than his wife means he is fucking them.

A prime example of the media just making stuff up. In the “Taye Diggs Caught Cheating” link the “hot blonde” in the front seat is his good friend Jay Harrington’s (ABC’s Better Off Ted) wife. She has been seen out and about with Idina as well.
Heck I remember a video of a paparazzi following Taye and Idina trying to stir up trouble and said something like “Hey Taye, where is your wife tonight?” in which Idina replied “Right here!”. I guess they didn’t recognize her.
Not saying he is perfect. I am sure they have their fair share of issues since no marriage is easy. But people need to stop assuming everything they read is gospel.

It’s nice to hear and see that their are some long term relationships/marriages in Hollywood. All we ever hear about are relationships/marriages falling apart for one reason or another.Maybe the fact that they have been together so long before they got married and then waited longer before they had a child had something to do with it. I love Taye. Also I doubt they are keeping their relationship lowkey. More like there’s no interest in them. Although Taye is in everything, he’s not A-list. He’s probably just a C-lister. Although his wife is a big broadway star, she’s not known to the general public. So photos are not in demand for other celebrities like Garner, Stefani, etc.

I’ve met Taye in a club before and he’s a sweetheart. As a male, it is damn if you do and damn if you don’t.

The TMZ comment about why isn’t he ever seen with his wife is stupid. Because they don’t take pictures of them together because it doesn’t sell and is boring. Pictures of him with other women no matter what the situation sells because they can make a cheating slant out of it.
