Well, a lonely night in with fish & chips has got to be an improvement on a night either in or out with Pete Doherty. Happy anniversary, Amy. One year too many. Hope Blake gets a nice long prison sentence and you get your mojo back.

As a Seattle girl myself, I’m just sad she didn’t get some Ivar’s tartar sauce and breaded shrimp. yum! Jaybird, are you from WA or Oregon?

    i love pete!!!

    *also western Washington here… 🙂

English Fish and Chips are the ultimate romantic meal for me… the first time I went to see my now husband in England our first meal together was take out fish and chips, wrapped in paper *sigh*, sitting on his couch wrapped up in a blanket *double sigh*. 😳 Maybe it has a sentimental meaning for her, too? Maybe Blake said “Go round the chip shop for me, baby, for our anniversary.”

Or maybe she was just hungry.

Mollination I’m from Seattle. And now that you mentioned it, I would give my left arm for some Ivars. NY does not understand how to do seafood. I cannot get proper smoked salmon here – and I look EVERYWHERE – only lox. That’s a great way to ruin a meal. Eat some chowder for me.

  6. Diva says:

Hey, Jay… I live on a reservation a little south of Seattle, the fishermen here smoke their own (fish that is, lol)… SOOOOOOO good! I’d send ya some, lol. 🙂

  7. cramiga says:

If Blake stays locked up, that celebrity marriage may actually last.

  8. geronimo says:

Good point, cramiga. Blake incarcerated remains a tragic, romantic figure, feeding her ‘you and me against the world’ delusions.

Whereas if they let him out, the daily scummy, leeching reality of him might bring her to her senses. Ain’t love grand. 🙄

  9. gg says:

Many people eat that just about every night in the UK. It’s not a ‘mood’ thing – it’s their version of cheap take out. And nothing beats English f&c’s

  10. xiaoecho says:

    cod and chips….yummo

  11. gg says:

I am told it’s much better in towns on the sea, like Brighton, for example. Which is my favorite for many reasons, part of which is, you can go out there on the windy beach at 10pm and people watch the yobs and slappers.

  12. kate says:

she just gets sadder and sadder all the time.

  13. fgh says:

I think Pete is an amazing talent lulu. Here here! Hope he gets it together enough to record something.

  14. xiaoecho says:

gg……the best one’s I ever had were in Inverness, Scotland. The cod was soooo fresh it was practically still alive. I can still remember sitting on a doorstep near the chip shop with a friend, wolfing it down and trying not to burn my mouth on a freezing sleety day. One of my best ever memories

I’m flaming hungry now! Hold the jellied eels

Hey… fish and chips does a girl good! To me, she looks more relaxed and may even be gaining weight. Perhaps together, Pete and Amy will support not only their drug habits, but may see their way out of the fog. Far fetched.. but hope burns eternal. Peace. 😕
