Tori Spelling to write a book about motherhood; will be in 90210 spinoff after all

35 year-old Tori Spelling is said to be working on another memoir as a follow-up to her first biography, sTori Telling, which detailed her materially rich but emotionally troubled life growing up as the daughter of one of Hollywood’s most successful TV producers. Spelling was left virtually nothing by her insanely wealthy father, Aaron Spelling. The elder Spelling was worth $300 million and left Tori just under a million dollars. In her first book Spelling revealed that she was deep in credit card debt after spending massive amounts of money in her twenties. She’s now working hard to keep earning cash and has a reality show, a jewelry line on HSN, and another book. In the upcoming book, tentatively titled Mommywood, Tori will discuss how her life changed as she went from a minor celebrity to a minor celebrity mother to two children. Tori could easily become the next Katie Price and start putting out a book every six months.

The 35-year-old, who gave birth to her second child with husband Dean McDermott last month, has signed a deal with publishers Simon & Schuster to pen her second tome, tentatively titled “Mommywood.”

The book will focus on her life as “a Hollywood princess-turned-parent” and the growth of her 1-year-old son Liam, and newborn daughter, Stella, according to the press release.

The book is due out around April, 2009 and I wonder what kind of advance they gave her. Tori will also be in the 90210 spinoff on the CW channel along with her old co-stars Shannen Doherty and Jennie Garth. There were conflicting reports as to Tori’s involvement, but one of the producers revealed that Tori is on board and that she was said to have dropped out because “she was exhausted from having the baby.” He added that the door is open for her when she wants to return and said “I think that when she’s up for it, she’ll be in.” Tori also confirmed that she will reprise her role as Donna Martin and said she’s excited for it. Tori is doing whatever it takes to keep the cash coming in, and she’s doing a pretty decent job of it. She’s not my favorite person after the way she cheated on her then-husband with a married guy with children, but she’s trying to make a living the best way she knows how and it seems to be working for her.

  2. Nan says:

Enough of her. Sure, she’s a joke but we all cry inside for her just a little because we realize money doesn’t matter but good genes surely do. I pity THIS fool.

  3. mommy says:

Seriously? She’s “working hard”? Is she putting in 40+ hour weeks at the local walmart trying to put food in her babies’ bellies? No, she’s wearing designer dresses and whoring herself out. There’s a difference.

  4. photo jojo says:

    ICAM Mommy.

  5. mommy says:

Sorry to be so stupid, but what does ICAM mean?

  6. Steph says:

does anyone know why Aaron left her so little?

  7. Nan says:

Go away. Go to college online. Something. She probably has a talent but is not recognizing it trying to be in Hollywod.

  8. vdantev says:

Actually she’ll have it ghost written for her like 89% of all Hollywood ‘authors’ do.

  9. Anastasia says:

God, I can’t stand her. And the more she tries to grab the spotlight the more I can’t stand her.

Yeah, write a book on motherhood, Tori, because no other woman in the world knows what it’s like to be a mom.

    🙄

  10. Moore says:

    ICAM= i couldn’t agree more.

at least that whats i think.

  11. SixxKitty says:

Doesn’t the nanny do all the actual parenting? I can’t see Tori up at 2am with her babies, I saw that ‘Inn Love’, she couldn’t put a pillow in its case!

  12. Aspen says:

Will her book talk about how to wreck a marriage and ruin the lives of 3 kids so that you can steal and then procreate with the morally-repugnant man you’re lusting after? Cause…yeah, that’s the part I admire her for.

  13. Julie in North Carolina says:

Sorry guys….but I happen to love Tori and I think she’s pretty down to earth considering the upbringing she had. A lot of the silly things they show on her tv show are similar to my own experiences or feelings and I think she’s fairly normal, just with a bit more money than me…leave her alone, she’s great and living her life….ya bunch of haters!!

  14. Lara says:

I can’t have any sympathy for this woman. The way she and her now-husband met, the way she dissed her husbands first wife, her absence when her father was dying (and no it wasn’t “bitchy” mom who kept her away), her show and those books she’s “writing”.
    What’s there to love?
