These are photos from the Hollywood premiere of Ted (or TED), that film with Mark Wahlberg, Mila Kunis and a computer-generated talking teddy bear voiced by Ted’s writer/director, Seth MacFarlane. This is Seth’s first full-length feature film as writer/director, and I kind of love that he cast Mila Kunis, an actress he has worked with for more than a decade on Family Guy – Mila does voice work as Meg Griffith. So here are some pics of Mila on the red carpet… ugh.
To be fair to her, CB thinks Mila looks beautiful, save for the drag queen makeup. But I’ve noticed something weird – Mila seems to look worse now that she’s with Ashton Kutcher. Maybe it’s just my perception of her, or maybe she’s just in a style rut independent of Ashton, or maybe it’s something else entirely. I don’t know. I think she looks rough. Her dress is Christian Dior – she’s one of the faces of the Dior brand. I think the dress might have been cuter is the makeup was less “dramatic”. And maybe with her hair up? The styling is definitely an issue.

I can’t help it, I think Seth MacFarlane is sexy. It’s totally his voice. And he seems like such a smug bastard, which is one of my weaknesses (along with a great voice). Also: I f–king love American Dad. I couldn’t care less about Family Guy, but I adore American Dad. Sigh… Seth is such a d-bag. I would totally hit it.

You’re right! Her face is an example that noses don’t magically thin with age and cheekbones and chin don’t just become more defined and chiseled. We’ve become so accustomed to seeing this happen (and everyone gets so defensive of their faves) that we’ve forgotten what natural development looks like in Hollywood.

It’s true, I can’t help but think of him as a smug bastard either, but certainly a lovable one. And if you look at the writers on his shows, he has an amazing track record of hiring women (and women of colour at that!), which is rarely the case in hollywood in general, let alone the boys-club of comedy. Not that being a super awesome dude and a smug bastard are mutually exclusive, but the former quality definitely makes the latter quality more delightful IMO.
I think to succeed in his industry you have to be somewhat smug, or at least have the self-confidence to go for it. He’s got some dorkiness going on too. I read that he was supposed to be on one of the hijacked flights on 9/11 but was hungover from the night before and got to the airport too late and the gate was closed. Imagine that sh*T?

She’s pretty as usual but I don’t like the fabric and the cut of the dress. She could do so much better than this. Let’s blame it on Ashton because Mila does seems to look worse now on the red carpet after she’s with Ashton! 🙂

The last two times she’s looked stunning. This dress on her is stunning. Very sophisticated!! People without high fashion taste always have a problem with unique dresses. Mila carries it off prefectly. It’s unfortunate, that she’s not with MacFarlane cause they’re so beautiful together. But, it sounds like he’s a creepy dirt bag banging a young girl preggers by someone else….OIY…really sick!!!

There’s too much contouring going on with the makeup. Its like because she’s gained some weight the makeup artist is trying to recreate her face with cheek, brow, and nose contouring, but it just looks drag-ish. She’s too pretty for this crap.
She has way to much eye makeup on. The dress is meh, maybe if it had a slimmer cut to the skirt. Seth looks like a sleazy used car salesman. I have to disagree with you there Kaiser, I couldn’t and wouldn’t do him.
In one picture her make up looks gorgeous, in another it looks like what it really looks like.
I find this amusing. She is purposely wearing too much make up for red carpet lighting so she won’t look like a ghost in the photos, but it looks horrid in one shot where she is still on the street and not yet on the carpet.
She reminds me of when I was a tad younger than her and went all out for my driver’s license picture. That picture rocked but in person I looked like a ho who put on her street make up early.
Thankfully Mila has a light lip to counteract that effect… you need a red lip for a nice Drivers License picture.

Mila just does not seem to be into any of this anymore. Every time I see her on a RC or at an event she just looks so out of it. Not in a drug way, but like she could care less. She just doesn’t look like she is enjoying it.
I’m not basing that on photo assumptions but her interviews too and the public appearances I have seen.
Well you’re onto something because she’s hinted a whole bunch of times (plus I have inside info) recently that she’s winding down and said “Don’t know how much longer i can do this” then another recent interview “I won’t be spending the rest of my life on movie sets” Along with a few other hints in interviews/ She even said over a year ago “I’ve already peaked” and “I’m in my 20’s so I can still do it but one day I’m goin to want a normal life” etc etc. Notice all the piles of work she’s doing right now, getting in every project she can. She definitely sounds as if she’s winding down. Also, with non stop media and paparazzi rumors/stalking, especially after just recently dealing with the stalker psycho (google Mila Kunis stalker Stuart Dunn) I’d be finding it hard to enjoy the business too! The only part she truly enjoys (which she’s said many times) is just the acting on set, not the photoshoots, award shows and red carpet crap. Quitting the business will also give time for all the attention and stalking to die down before she starts a family with someone and settles down. Who wants to have a group of cameras in their face when walking their son/daughter somewhere.
You may be reading a bit too much in to quotes she has been saying for years. She talked about quitting acting during her run on the 70s show. Like any career you can have burn out moments. But it is nothing serious. She has talked several times about how the travel of the film industry is something she does not want to do long term. But Mila is a bright girl. She understands the industry. The window of opportunity for female actors is a small one. By the time most actresses hit their mid 30s hollywood is looking for the new face, 20 year old that is hitting the scene. Mila gets the industry and she gets how fleeting this attention is. But she won’t be quitting anytime soon. And she certainly hasn’t been grabbing every project that has come her way…she had one film released in 2011 and one in 2012….2013 she will have a couple,mainly because there is so much time between production and release date for Oz. But she is remaining rather selective with what she does. It isn’t like she is pushing out 4 films a year.
What does she want to do? Save up so she can retire early? Has she gone to college? I never had much interest in her pre-Black Swan. She dated MacCauley Culkin – ewww. I never watched That 70s Show either.
I don’t know much about her other than she is Russian by birth or her parents are Russian immigrants. Something like that
She has at least 10 years left on her. Nicole, et.al. are getting a lot more roles in their early to mid 40s than any actress used to. She has not peaked at all. She hasn’t even had a good lead role yet.
Unless SHE has DECIDED she is peaking at 28-9 and is taking any role they give her for the $ so she can retire comfortably and also to kill her career in the mean time.
She could retire at any moment right now if she wanted to….between all the money she made off of the 70s show and the residuals she still gets in dvd sales and syndcation, plus what she gets for Family Guy, money is not an issue…and that isn’t even including what she makes in her successful film career. And she is getting several lead roles now…..Oz will be out next spring, she is currently shooting Blood Ties, starts another film this fall, and recently signed on to be the female lead in the latest Wachowski brothers film (directors that did The Matrix films) which starts shooting next year, she is clearly in demand and clearly not stopping anytime soon. But again she is also 28 and by the time she hits her mid to late 30s the offers will drop off like they do for most actresses. But I have no doubt she will continue to work in the film industry for at least another 8-10 years before she chooses to slow down.
i still hope there was nothing with ashton. working with macfarlane and timberlake she has experience with douchebags.
but if you compare macfarlane to other animated series creators he is sexy. but i still find trey parker from south park sexier and he has got more talent.

I think they both owe their careers to Matt Groening, the Simpsons and Futureama. Matt created aesthetically displeasing animated series for adults. Matt is also not hot in any way shape or form but he is more talented in my opinion.

Really? I’ve seen several different promotional clips on the film and never onece did I think Mila looks 16. Mark’s character is a guy in his mid 30s and he pretty much looks like he is in his mid 30s…although he is a few years older then that. As for age differenes between males and females in films….ummm, this has been going on for years. Nothing new. The age difference between Mila and Mark is only 12, that really isn’t a big deal. Guys like Michael Douglas and Harrison Ford have been in films where there is a 30 year or more age difference.
Yeah but those old guys were probably with women who looked like adults. Age gap is ok but when you have a situation where middle aged people are boning teenagers I draw the line there.

That is one promo shot that is super photoshopped. I still don’t think she looks 16, but that’s just my take. She’s a petite woman. If you watch any of the trailer footage they look age appropriate to me. Like I said before, it’s more odd to see a male lead that is in his 60s matched up with an actress in her 20s. Which hollywood has done on occasion.

Someone did a very long interview taped at his home recently, he’s the least D’bag guy in H’wood if that’s possible, very funny, smart, kind, well mannered and was really engaged, honestly he made the interviewer look good.
I think we are seeing the Ashton effect contaminating Mila, I still think she’s one of the best talents in her age range. But Ashton stank never rubs off, and can even kill you. Marky Mark was great in Ted…I’m usually not drawn to him but I really thought he was funny in this movie. When he was cast I thought how off could MacFarlane be on this one. Good casting loved all the FG cast in the show….Walburton and Reynolds were sooo funny…love Walburton…He’s so masculine and funny. He’s sort-of a regular guy type. I need to google him.
