Here are some photos from the LA premiere of Pacific Rim – I covered the photos from the London premiere last week, and you ladies seemed to enjoy those photos, so you’ll really like these. I have to admit, my favorite photos from this set are of Charlie Hunnam. Guess who Charlie brought as his date? His Sons of Anarchy co-star, Katey Sagal. I love that. I love that they seem tight. It’s sweet. Not so sweet? Charlie’s gross Spencer Pratt beard. But CB pointed out that he and Katey are probably filming Sons of Anarchy right now, so the beard has a purpose.

I’m also including a photo of Charlie Day and his wife, just because Charlie is totally cute. And of course, Idris Elba. Idris has been getting SO much play in the trailers for Pacific Rim. I hope that he’s actually featured that heavily in the film, you know? But I’m all for Idris getting more and more of a Hollywood profile. Idris should be in-demand. He’s a great actor and he’s sexy as hell, and he can work a red carpet. Just going from the photos, it seemed like Idris was more “the star” of the film than anyone else.

Idris also appeared on Jimmy Kimmel’s show this week and Idris discussed how he had gotten an educational grant from Prince Charles’ The Prince’s Trust. Idris applied for a grant to help him pay for acting & music school, and Idris told Kimmel that Charles is “the coolest. He’s smooth. He’s got this ring. He’s got slicked-back hair, he looks like a gangster.” Idris is now an ambassador for the trust!
