Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson were seen arguing on the street early Saturday morning in NY after attending a party for Ronson’s sister, fashion designer Charlotte. The two looked perfectly healthy, if a bit angry. Later that day, Samantha canceled a scheduled Valentine’s day gig in Florida, with the excuse that both she and Lindsay had the flu. The event planners were left in the lurch after heavily promoting their appearance:
Lindsay Lohan and DJ gal pal Samantha Ronson canceled a Valentine’s Day gig in South Florida, saying they are too sick to travel.
They were scheduled to host and spin at Passions, a late-night club connected to Hollywood, Florida’s Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.
“We really feel bad, and I work sick when I can, but unfortunately I couldn’t drive to Miami, so I’m stuck in New York City with doctor’s orders not to fly,” Ronson tells PEOPLE. “Any reports otherwise are false and unfair.”
“Lindsay and Samantha stayed out late last night in New York City, and are not feeling well,” Amanda Senoff, director of marketing for Passions, tells PEOPLE. “A doctor said Sam was too sick with the flu to travel and Lindsay is also feeling sick. So they rescheduled for March 7.”
A source close to Ronson tells PEOPLE, “They are both sick with ear infections. Sam needs her ears, and flying with an ear infection is a risk that she can’t really afford to take.”
The situation leaves Passions, which was paying big bucks for the popular pair to entertain, without a headline DJ and host for the combined Valentine’s night/President’s Day weekend, the busiest time of the year for south Florida tourism.

It’s possible this is true that Sam is sick, but it looks bad for Ronson’s career either way because she was just seen out the night before. Lindsay attended a store opening yesterday and was photographed out shopping and going to lunch with a friend in New York, the day after she claimed to be sick. What are Lohan and Ronson going to do for cash if they can’t charge big bucks to show up at clubs? The nightclubs are going to stop hiring them if they keep flaking out like this.
Meanwhile Lindsay’s mother’s Long Island home could be auctioned off to the highest bidder next week. Dina Lohan has failed to pay over $11,485.74 she owes in property taxes and the local paper has announced that her home will be offered up to the highest bidder.
In today’s economy, buying a tax lien off of a small Long Island town doesn’t sound like the shrewdest of investments. But if that’s your thing, perhaps you’d like to purchase Dina Lohan’s?
According to a public notice that ran today in the Merrick Life newspaper, unless DiLo forks over the $11,485.74 she owes Nassau County in taxes by tomorrow, the tax lien placed against her home will go up for auction next week. Should you choose to purchase the lien, you can collect 10% interest on one of the most famous mothers in Hollywood.

It seems like Dina Lohan should have been able to afford $11k in property taxes, but who knows how she spends her money or what other debts she has. Her daughter certainly knows how to blow through cash and she must have learned it somewhere. It’s too bad Lindsay’s fall back career as a hanger-on to a celebrity DJ isn’t working out that well or maybe she would be able to help her mother out.

I realize these two are a horrible example of lesbian relationships, but in my one defense of anything LL/SR- it is so demeaning that every magazine and TMZ refer to them as “gal pals”. I’m glad this site doesn’t. 🙂

Lindsey is only 21 or 22. She hasn’t even hit a quarter century. At least Britney could say that she legitimately accomplished something before her meltdown

LOVE how they wrote that because it leaves no room for doubt as to why they failed to show up.

Sam’s rescheduled one show, not even a cancellation and now people are going to stop hiring her.

umm how do you reschedule a valentines’ day gig? It only happens once a year, if you miss it, sure you can re-schedule and do another show, but you won’t be hosting VALENTINES on florida’s biggest weekend of tourism because that was when you flaked. So, yes, she can re-schedule, but it won’t be for anything as big as what she was planned to be at initially.
I think Sam looks unwell lately, I wouldn’t be surprised if she has the flu, but Lohan obviously isn’t sick… Prob just didn’t wanna go without Sam.
